Close to Home II Childcare Learning Center: what do users think?
chavon christephore: They work with my son who can be somewhat challenging but he loves this daycare. I have no complaints
kendra loper: Wasn’t the most friendly or inviting over the phone. Pretty much just asked how I planned on paying. Didn’t Schedule tours it was more so just come when you want which was different… it such a hard decision for a parent to leave their child with strangers throughout the day so at the very least I was expecting a more warm and reassuring first encounter. Possibly a good childcare center. I just wasn’t feeling a good vibe over the phone.

A Place To Grow Home Daycare: what do users think?
Chad Walker: Melissa and her staff are very well suited for this line of work. We'd went with other providers in the past and didn't feel as if we had gotten or money's worth. They offer quite a few amenities that the big names do but they don't have that cold corporate feel to them. Her rules aren't draconian nor are they to lax. Keep in mind that this isn't just a business, it's her family's home too. Perhaps it's not a big deal to some people but it's something to keep in mind. My wife and I have been very satisfied with their services and will continue to take our boy there knowing that not only will he be safe, he'll be happy too.

Tutor Time of Sterling Heights: what do users think?
Ayana Aseel: If I could give less then star I will , the manger are bad attitude and the really bad caring for kids , I sow my child eating from garbage and they didn’t care , my kids were falling on head and the got a bites from other kids , it’s really scary there please don’t take your kids
Frostie Owen: My son was a student from 8/21 until 06/10/22.After 10 months with Tutor Time we noticed a significant decline in the quality of care and I would not recommend this facility. We often witnessed children being ignored. If a child is sad they were left to cry for extend periods of time and told, "came get me when you calm down". We witnessed this in person and on the camera app EVERYDAY. Rarely do the teacher "play" with the children. More often than not as you walk through the halls you would notice a teacher just sitting, staring at the children with little to no interaction. Almost every morning children being dropped off will scream cry and try to run out the door after their parents. It was heartbreaking to watch and experience. Upon pick up, often times our son's diaper would be so full that it would be falling off him and hindering his ability to walk. It was so bad one day that the Director of the school personally walked us back to the classroom and changed my son diaper in front the the teachers that just watched her and didn't say anything. Incident reports for injuries was almost weekly if not twice a week. And finally the ratio of students per teacher are high, yes they meet state regs however its A LOT for one teacher. In my son's class the state allowed is 8 students per 1 adult. That is eight 2 year old's trying to potty train running around to every one teacher. The teachers are asked to entertain the children, keep them safe, feed them, change diapers, help in the potty, update communication apps, take photos etc. Its A LOT for one person and we witnessed students were unable to receive any extra attention that wasn't an essential need. The new communication app that Tutor Time uses called SproutAbout is created and owned by Learning Care Group which is the organization managing/owns? Tutor Time. The app works only about 50% if time. So watching your child on the camera is spotty. Additionally the app does not notify you if a message is sent and vice versa with the teachers. Every staff member we talked to would say they hate the app as well. We also became concerned with the accountability the school has if their camera app is owned by them. All in all I feel like a good 35% of the staff is trying their best but are often overwhelmed with the tasks they are asked to perform therefore only being able to provide essential need care to the children verse providing a loving and patience atmosphere we looking for.
Derek Crowe: We had a daughter at another chain daycare and had a terrible experience . We have nothing but good things to say about the our experience at Tutor Time. Our daughter loves the teachers and is very well cared for. The staff actually educates the kids. The other chain couldn't keep the kids safe let alone teach them anything. We will miss all the staff and have nothing but gratitude for how they cared for our child.
Alexis Byrd: Positive:Professionalism,QualityMy kids love being here. And the I love the staff. 💕
Heather Hoekman: Such a great school for my children! My son goes there all year round since he was 6 months old, and he is now 4. My daughter goes there over summer break while I work. They have great staff and they pay close attention to detail for the early education of my little ones. I would give 10 stars if I could!
Jenn Pantaleo: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,ResponsivenessMy daughter has been going here since she was 12 weeks old. They are professional and put a first time moms mind at ease. She is now two and is thriving in this learning environment. Highly recommend!!
simply Vintage: Critical:Reliability,Responsiveness
Yuliya: Where to do start.... We have been going to this child care ON and OFF for over a year now. We had a great experience with Ms. Diane in the infant room, we took a little break came back & placed in toddler 1 with Ms. Sara and then Ms. Jenna. Took another break came back to Toddler 2 NOW our first week back where everything went downhill. It turns out that my little munchkin is sensitive to dairy. I mentioned on the first day that he is DAIRY FREE to assist director & lead teacher Ms Loretta.1st day went well.2nd day: he was fed yoghurt for breakfast. (I right away contacted told the teacher no dairy for this guy)3rd day: he got a little upset when I was undressing him, so I left him in his snowboots when a teacher took him away from me, I told her that he has gray shoes that he needs to be changed into. 1.5 hrs later he was still walking around in those snowboots. I contacted assist director, she handled it.4th day: he was let out outside with no hat, scarf or gloves on a 30 degree weather. Then for lunch was fed cheese ravioli. On this day I spoke to Ms Jill, the director. Let her know what has been happening, she said she will be talking to Ms Loretta in the morning since she was not there. That's when I decided not write a review because I truly love this day care but then come home & as I start to unwrap his diaper, I came to another suprise... Bad wiping job, this is how the little ones can get a UTI, I am hoping that no bacteria was spread! And CHERRY ON TOP he got a LOW GRADE FEVER of 100.2!Parents please be extra clear and direct of yours & your child's needs.
kaitlyn pipp: This place is great! I was worried because my 2 year old had only been watched by family before coming here, but she absolutely loves it! Such an awesome staff and environment for my little one! We couldn’t be any happier with the decision that we made to come here!
Alesha Martiss: The teachers and directors make everything easy. As a mother sending my son off to daycare for the first time, I was terrified. My son's teachers made the transition as smooth as possible. His teachers, Jenna and Phylicia, held him when he cried and always shared updates with us everyday via the apps. Now, he doesn't want to leave when we come to pick him up! The center is newly renovated and looks great! The directors Jill & Melanie answer every question, no matter how silly I may think they are. This is a daycare I would recommend to everyone.
jocquez maloy: Horrible..The staff was very unfriendly toward my grand daughter other kids was playing outside and in the classroom while I watched them make her lay down I recorded it also 😢 she was very nervous scared to move one staff worker tried to tell me and my wife that she was sleep not knowing we just watched her change her on our phones from the parking lot I PROMISE THIS IS NOT OVER👌🏾
Traci: Loved this place. The staff are amazing and you can tell they truly love and care about your children. The director and assistant director do not miss a beat and know everything that is going on in their school. They are present in class rooms, so much that my 9 month old would go to both of them no problem. Could not have asked for better teachers and aides. Felt comfortable with all of them.
Ko- rana: Great daycare center with great summer camp program, nice and friendly staff, great director and assistant director!!!
Angela Legato: We absolutely love Tutor Time! My son's teachers have been nothing but amazing, he is almost one and loves to go to school already. The staff treat you and your child like family. As soon as I did a tour of Tutor Time at this location I instantly knew my son would be going here. Anytime anyone asks me where I send my son for daycare I recommend Tutor Time and this location if it is possible for them.
Sora Obead: I have bad experience with this place
Anna Krzak: A great place for the kids and awesome teachers! I highly recommend t!
Jennifer Mills: I was a stay at home Mom for 11 years and my youngest (5) started TutorTime on Hayes almost 5 months ago. They have exceeded my expectations in care. Not only do they communicate daily via BrightWheel but they also have live cams where I can log in and see my son. I can see the love and care he’s given. I can see the fun he’s having. Jill the director is fantastic and the staff is really exceptional. We will be sad to move on to Kindergarten but so grateful to them for getting my son ready to start school in the fall. I really can’t thank them enough!
Courtney Harvey: AWESOME STAFF AND MANAGEMENT!
Brett Geml: I was really iffy about the whole day care thing. My son is less than a year old and loves day care. I went to pick my son up on the first day because I was really freaked out about leaving him at day care at his age. When i visted, the security to get in and out and also wear footies entering the kids room impresses me?and over all service of the staff convinced me to give it a shot. He’s almost eight months old and as smart and aware like he’s two years old. He’s already walking and saying momma and daddy. The updates of him making friends and eating, sleeping really ease your mind. I’ve had a few people say the program might be a little more than a average day care but it’s worth every dollar. You can’t put price on educated, ethical, caring and smart workers who are helping you with the most important part of your child’s years: Tutor time really has a great program, check it out!
Christina Burrows: We were only at Tutor Time for a short while prior to getting in at a daycare at our work, but we had a very positive experience. Management went out of their way to help us with obtaining funding assistance through the Army Fee Assistance Program. We really liked the infant room. The teachers were all very nice. We also really liked the app that they use to give us updates throughout the day. Going back to work was hard, but seeing pictures of my son during the day helped! We were disappointed to leave.
Atty Tube: My boys have been at Tutor Time for awhile now and I couldn't be more happy with the outcome. My oldest son has some behavioral problems and the difference Tutor Time has made with him is amazing. He has improved in so many areas, in school and at home. I love their curriculum and the time they devote to physical activity. They really have a good grip on how kids need to play and learn. I enjoy hearing about my kids day, and the fact they don't want to even leave school when we come pick them up! There is always something going on, either Tumble Bus or special visitors who bring animals, even a DJ has come to the school! The directors are very involved and even spend time with the kids in the classrooms. I enjoy this school very much all around and appreciate all they have done for my boys.

Merry Mill Child Center Inc: what do users think?
Gods Child: I have a 4yr old son that attended Merry mill daycare center for 2 months until I got a call saying he couldn't attend their daycare anymore the day after I reported that he had a big scar on his thigh from their daycare. They NEVER TOLD ME WHERE IT CAM FROM. They said he just doesnt fit in their program..WHICH HE WAS THE ONLY AFRICAN AMERICAN CHILD IN THEIR CLASS. I wouldn't recommend this daycare to anyone.
Racquel Mousseau: I love this daycare, and Miss Hailey is amazing. My daughter really enjoys going and was so excited to go back! Would recommend to anyone!
Geneva Okamoto: Fabulous! We love Merry Mill! Both my girls and my nephew went here. If you want a nourishing, caring, and learning environment this is the place. Accredited teachers at all levels my children were ahead if the class going into kindergarten. Most important they foster family, growth and individuality. I knew my children were loved and cared for like they were their own. When you walk in there is a sense of family. A time or two I wished I could smuggle one of the teachers home my girls loved them so much. The curriculum is progressive and empowering for all ages.
Patrick Griffis: Merry Mills is above and beyond everything I expected from a daycare provider. They treat my 3 year old daughter so well and she is always happy and smiling when I come to pick her up. They teach all of the preschool basics and I can tell that my daughter is learning new things every day. The teachers are amazing, kind, nurturing and supportive. The front office staff go out of their way to help and are flexible and fair.
Carla Fox: I love love love this place. The staff is so kind. tolerant, and loving towards my daughter. They never seem too bothered by questions, concerns, or ways to communicate better the family.
S Stuart: My daughter has been going here for 3 years and is about to “graduate” and move on to kindergarten. I am so beyond greatful for the teachers and staff at Merry Mill for not only teaching my daughter but loving her. I could write a whole novel on everything favorable. There is nothing better than knowing your child is safe and happy while you’re away! When we switch over to kindergarten in the fall we will be keeping MM as backup for holiday breaks and whatnot. I would absolutely recommend this school/daycare to anyone looking. The prices aren’t bad either ☺️
Danielle McAuley: This place is hands down the best! I have taken my daughter here every year since 2013. Even after she started school she looks forward to coming here in the summer and during school breaks. It's the same people always there as well which is great! Ms. Kimberly is amazing! A very nice down to earth person.
Chy'Vonne Conerly: My grandson is in his 2nd year at Merry Mill and I couldn't be happier!! We left few a few months because his mom was working at another childcare center , therefore there was a discount. We quickly regretted moving him and he is happily back where he belongs. Love the curriculum, and the stAff is awesome! It truly is a great facility. I love Merry Mill!
tiffany taylor: Wonderful friendly place and the staff is very nice and my kids love it there!!!!
Keaonna Purdie: My daughter has been going for 2 year's now i love them so much they really get to know your child wouldn't trade them for the world!
Kristy Thomas: I can't tell you how much I love this place. Everyone is so awesome, every single employee. They all know my kids names and always greet them by name. I get a child care reimbursement for work and they always quickly and efficiently get me whatever I need to file for it. They even fax it to me if I ask them to! My kids are comfortable here and love all of their teachers. I've never had a problem with anything or anyone here. Every question I have is answered, every concern is taken care of. They take amazing care of my kids and I am not looking forward to the day they no longer go here.

Academy 4 Lil' Angels: what do users think?
Bree Marano: I was debating on posting this review for some time now but honestly this place left such a bad taste in my mouth the last several year's that I feel it is time. Let me start off by saying as a single struggling mom at the time it took a lot for me to even afford the enrollment fees and even the tuition going forward. I was called everyday to pick up my son early causing me to lose my job they are NOT equipped to deal with children that have any kind of needs yet assured me they were my son at the time was un diagnosed autism but had the diagnosis of ADHD. He was 3 and they demanded he be medicated or refused his return. I was sent nasty emails calling my child "uncooperative" "aggressive" "disrespectful" referring to him being overestimulated as having "outbursts" etc. This center is not able to properly care for children, they do not have the training yet charge as if they do. Extremely unprofessional environment my son was enrolled for less than a month and they refused to refund me, they take advantage and demean your child. Parents BEWARE.
Grace Henry: If i could give this place zero stars i would. NOT a preschool, just a glorified day care. Teachers are lazy and overpaid. Refuse to do anything but the bare minimum for your child. And once they fall out of line with their idea of a perfect child, they get booted. Owner admits to having under motivated teachers and blames the lack of help for children who need special help on that. The summer coordinator tried to call my son a violent child, not really sure how a kid can be violent at 4 years old. He is a sweet, loving boy who listens when you work with him. These people just never wanted to try what works for him. I wish they had a livestream for parents because my son complained that teachers were mean and screamed at him, he told me that they squeeze his arm and pull him around, also that they smacked him. You never know with these people. It’s all about the money.I’d like to add that it’s been 5 months since my child left care here and he is still talking about the teachers screaming and other kids kicking and hitting him. This “school” is a joke.
Emily Bobola: I am so thankful for A4LA. A special shout out goes to the infant room staff. They take such good care of my son!
Tatiana: Horrible experience. The owner was not friendly and I did not feel comfortable with my child at this establishment. I do not recommend it.
Rovena Shpati: There is no place like Academy 4Lil Angels. It is a great place to work at and to bring your children to .I recommend A4LA to anyone who asks about daycare!
Nicole Schave: I am an employee and my children also attend this center. I have worked here a cumulative 15 years or so. Both of my children have come up through the program and I can’t say enough wonderful things about the teachers as coworkers and caregivers for my children! Mine are now school age and they LOVE attending for breaks and summer camp. They came home with stories and new creations everyday. They read and journaled daily all summer long! It was a safe, fun, and loving experience. They have made friends that will grow with them and I couldn’t be more happy. As a staff member, we strive to provide the best quality care for each of the little ones we work with everyday. We are do trainings outside of work to keep up to date on the best practices. This is more than a job, it is a place I see myself for many years to come. The owner/director truly cares for all of her staff and the families that attend the center. She gives us opportunities to continue our studies and the time we need to be with our family and finish school or appointments. This is my home away from home and I truly love being a part of the A4LA family! Thank you!!
Olivia Rose: ❤️
Reya Jplayz: I used to go here for pre school. it’s really fun i remember most of the stuff i used to do!. i really miss being a kid. teenage years tough to handle but thank you sm for having me!!
Cameron Edmonds: We did a virtual walkthrough to sign my son up for day care a month ago. During the COVID environment it appeared a lot of the daycares raised their prices 50%+. Academy 4 Lil' Angels was no exception. We were quoted $275 as part of the weekly rates during the virtual walkthrough. The week before we were supposed to come in we're told rates went up by $55 to a now $330 weekly rate. I get inflation costs, but this is astronomical and down right greedy. We we're willing to pay the $275/week, but the abrupt price hike puts them well beyond what all the other day cares are charging.
vanessa safadi: Critical:Professionalism
J A: Whatever you do RUN! DO NOT send your kids here! If I can rate this place zero stars I would. Let’s start off by saying the owner bribes the parents to put good reviews with gifts for the kids and if they do multiple reviews gifts for the parents. (For example multiple reviews was multiple drawings for a honey baked ham) the only good reviews you will see here are of the staff being forced to put a good review or the parents being hounded by the owner to put a good review for rewards. The lack of compassion from the owner is unheard of. The fact she cares for nothing more then her pocket is the true character of her. The owner Angie is rude and talks down to the parents as if they are beneath her. The prices that are set forth at the time of signup will change about 5 times a year for all sorts of reasons that the owner will pull out of thin air. They will charge you an “annual fee” multiple times a year calling it “our policy” stating sorry this is something we charge everyone annually even though you paid it already once this year...everyone again has to pay it again in September because “that’s policy” And even if your dr writes a note stating your child has allergies (of which the center was already aware from the prior year having to give allergy medication) and your child is not sick the owner will then ignore the drs note and still make you keep your child home for a week because she apparently thinks she’s more educated and knowledgeable then the doctor who has a degree in child health care. And if you have a child that is ahead of her peers what they will do is pull her from that class and put her into a class of older kids doing online school and have her color for 90% of the day instead of building her up they will instead hold her back. I can not reiterate this enough but whatever you do...DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!
Mandi Bartkiw: Best daycare my son loves it there all the staff is amazing , I have seen a huge change in my son since he’s been going there , I would recommend the center for any parents looking for a daycare
Genevieve Stokan: Positive:ProfessionalismHave been very supportive with my school aged child during remote learning. Love when art projects come home.
Luma Bakhaya: Positive:ReliabilityThis is a great place to work at and to bring your children to. The employees are always doing their best and the kids always have a wonderful time here. It's a positive space and I love it.
Kristin Nobles: I’ve been taking my daughter here since 2019 and we LOVE IT! My daughter has learned so much. Great staff 😌.
Amanda Noble: I love Academy 4 Lil Angels. If you are thinking about bringing your child/children here, DO IT!! There is no other school that will love your children more than Ms. Angie and her employees. Everybody puts 100% love and effort everyday. A4LA goes above and beyond every time. They care about you and your family and put you first. It is truly a big family here.
Julie Cooper: This place is the worst daycare My grandson has ever been in. Very un organized and 3 year olds get time out for not wearing their mask. This place is ridiculous. I would never leave my or any other child in the care of this place. My daughter got sent photos of other peoples children and not her own. This place does not make any sense..BEWARE
Zach W: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ReliabilityAll of the staff here are great and personable. Our son is growing so fast and learns alot day to day with the interaction from his teachers and always seems to be having a great time smiling away. Thank you so much.
Kaila Johnson: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueI love this daycare!!!! My daughter has been there for almost 2 years now and she loves it. Everyday she comes home telling me something different that they did and She’s only 3! everyone tells me she’s advanced and I have to thank Academy 4 lil angels! They will always be family!
Randy Jarbo: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,Value
