Best Hong Kong Style Fast Food Restaurant Sterling Heights Near Me

Frank penzin: I'll give it 31/2 *. My order was almond chic dinner w/ egg roll and chic fried rice. All was good and tasty but for 13.00 I got 2 chic breast fillet pieces. My other favorite Chinese restaurant in Troy( 18mi -Rochester rd) is equally tasty with 3 chic fillets. I know, it's just an extra piece of chicken...but it's an extra piece of chicken breast. 2 slices of chicken breast to me is stingy when paying 13 for a dinner. That's just me. Their food was tasty though. Just comparing these 2 good restaurants I go to.

Katelyn Burger: Overpriced for what you get and unfriendly staff… when I walked into the restaurant everyone just STARED at me as if I had just walked into someones house and not a restaurant. Once I made it to the counter for my pickup I tried making small talk and just being friendly since walking in was very awkward but the lady cashing me out was short and did not smile and her body language indicated she was offended by my friendliness or at least annoyed by it. Shame used to love this place before the pandemic!!!

Jillian Job: When I moved to Troy, I tried just about every Chinese restaurant in search of one as good as what I grew up with. Hong Kong Express ended up being even better than my hometown favorite! The almond boneless chicken is always hot and crispy. The fried rice is the perfect texture and flavor. The lo mein (eapecially roast pork) soooo flavorful. The crab Rangoon is crispy and STUFFED with filling. They don't skimp on their egg drop soup either, always the perfect ratio of broth to eggs. Their egg rolls and spring rolls are generously sized and so flavorful you don't even need the sauce. Everything is great here, but those are my favorites. The portions are HUGE for the price too. For $3] you could feed two very hungry people for days! (I say that from personal experience lol). The people who work there are always so friendly too! I'll be so sad if I ever move again and have to find a spot to even come close to Hong Kong Express!

Didn't receive the little red container which is for the 3rd entrée because it's to much to put in the to-go box container, because now they "weigh" the food and supposedly it all fits in the box now. Burnt oil taste but egg rolls didn't have that flavor so it was somthing else. Mongolian beef had 3 med pieces of beef and for the price, what the heck it that. Supposed to be onions and beef. This is a soupy mess of veggies. Lo mean seems like ramen noodles or angle hair from the Asian market. Sauce was what boils down to a light mushroom gravy.
