Joanna Verellen: Super weird tipping experience. I was with a group and after we paid our bills, the waitress went around to everyone at the table who had not tipped a set amount (still don't know what the secret amount was) and in broken English solicited them to change their receipts to reflect the amount she wanted. I was one of those unfortunate souls she picked out from the herd. She wanted me to add an extra 10 cents onto my tip. No idea why. It was embarrassing and soured the entire dining experience. Stay away!

One of our group ordered sushi that wasn't brought out until after we were done with the rest of our meal, and we didn't get even an apology. When I wrote in less than an 18% tip on the check I was instructed by our server that I was required to tip at least 18%. The service wasn't worth even 10%!

Angela Casier: My preference is ZERO stars!! We're a party of 4 with reservations, waitress just giggled mostly when taking our order. I asked the waitress if I could order double vegetables instead of rice, she giggled and said no then giggles some more. We upgraded for a total of $14 for VEGETABLE fried rice.....with about a dozen peas & diced carrot pieces mixed in the rice for 7 people (at the table) NO FLAVOR. One person at the table ordered noodles instead of rice.... why was I told NO to double vegetables (offered to pay if up charge) Then meat was cooked, again NO FLAVOR and then the veggies were cooked but not mixed - I received all onion and the 3 others, 2 of them received only broccoli and the what other person received was all zucchini......for the imposed added 18% gratuity added to the bill is ridiculous (not to mention by doing so, they screw themselves out of a larger tip - we normally START at 20% and increase for great/exceptional service etc) one person had to get up twice to get items since the waitress was no where to be found. WILL NEVER RETURN AGAIN, wasted $175.00 for way sub-par food!!!!

Jessie Scott: The food is always fantastic... but the service it trash. When I receive good service I am a beyond good tipper. I will leave 30%-50% gratuity. But the service here is always terrible... not to mention they TAKE a 20% gratuity without saying anything to you. 1. Now they can continue bad service and still get paid well for it and 2. Because you just TOOK from me and didn't let me decide how much you screw yourself out of a much bigger tip from me 🤷🏼‍♂️

Brandi Mathison: This was so underwhelming! We went here for mine and my son’s birthday and it disappointed big time we left hungery and went to White Castle. I have a mushroom allergy and told the server and cook and the cook still mixed in mushrooms, the cook seemed to be in a very bad mood and gave no show at all. We waited 50min for the cook to even begin and it was not very busy only 2 other hibatchi grills going… the worst part is the portions were very disproportionate I got a tiny amount of rice and the man next to me got a plate full, I got a very tiny amount of chicken and as mentioned above mushrooms mixed into my vegetables (the cook tried to remove most of them but I still got several). My drink was left empty and I had to request a refill twice. This is the worst hibatchi I’ve ever been to. Do yourself a favor choose a better place to avoid the disappointment! $132 for three adults and a child and we left hungry and disappointed ☹️

michael c: The restaurant itself was nice. Clean and bright inside, which is always nice. The downside is that the person preparing the sushi told me they had only 1 year of experience making sushi. The rice was very puffy and mushy. Reminded me of the sushi that comes packaged at Kroger and sits around for a while. To be frank, when the rice is overdone and soggy, it ruins the sushi. I was only able to make myself eat half of the order because I was absolutely starving.

M Chang: $5 sushi Mondays and Tuesdays - but you get what you pay for unfortunately. The Philly roll had no salmon and had imitation crab meat! If your business isn't going to follow standard recipes then maybe you should list your ingredients so people actually know what they're ordering. Another reviewer stated that the rice wasn't sushi rice and I have to agree. The rice was sticky and had too much vinegar. Go somewhere and save your time and money.

Mister Porter: The portions are great, the staff is friendly, and the quality of the good is exactly what you'd expect for the price. Make sure that you take a good look at the menu though as some of the rolls do not have the expected ingredients, using crab sticks instead.

The hookup: I threw up after eating here. The ginger was very very vinegary. I ordered nigiri and I could tell the rice it was put on was not Japanese style sticky rice. in fact it wasn’t even Asian rice it was middle eastern or Indian style, I would know, I’m Asian! The fish wasn’t as fresh as it should be. I have a stomach made of metal, it takes a lot to get me to throw up. Never going back.

N B: I can't really comment on the food because I just got the basic classic sushi platter. Everyone else's food looked good though. But one thing though that was concerning was the water/cup. As soon as they gave me my water, I got a whiff of a musty smell. No one else seemed to notice though, so I guess I was just the unlucky one. I brought my nose closer and farther away from my glass to test if the smell was really coming from that. It definitely was. I decided to get a bottle of beer instead. Kareoke was fun though and affordable, and the main reason for the higher score. It will probably be the only reason I go back there. If I do go back there to eat, I'm bringing my own water bottle.

LC: Friend’s ramen was nothing like the photos on the menu nor what typical ramen traditionally looks like. Hard boiled egg yolk was fully cooked & 2 paper thin pieces of pork like a cold cut. When requesting to return it and take it off the bill shortly after receiving it. One of the waiters had a harsh blunt tone asking “what’s wrong with it?” While this question might typically seem fair and i personally would not normally overthink on someone’s presentation, it was one of the situations where you couldn’t miss his rude demeanor. Also, it does not seem appropriate to put a customer on spotlight and pressure them to say why they don’t want it and/or displeased with it. If the customer originally ordered it by choice (typically the case), then it probably speaks for itself that the same customer requesting to return it has a good reason to step outside their comfort zone to assert themselves. Also, 3 different sushi rolls from 3 separate customers (billed separately) were all added to the same plate despite mentioning that our party had a specific food allergy. When originally asking before ordering if the crab was authentic vs imitation and specifically stating to the main waiter of our party having a crab allergy, the waiter said “probably” in their answer before us clarifying we needed a concrete answer. Most of their menu involves crab products in them and items detailing variations of “California roll” in the item description, it was hard to determine if California called for necessary ingredients. When asking for regular utensils for some of our party, the waiter pointed to the cup of chopsticks and straws on the table and walked away. Crowd was EXTREMELY loud with one woman yelling. It put a lot of people on edge and very startling. Took forever to get a waiter to take our drink and food orders. Prices were outrageous especially for the quality. Lacked basic soft beverages. Also karaoke is a significant pricey cost per hour. Also same staff kept asking us the same questions (not your typical “how’s everything” questions) which became irritating. Also waitress kept touching, grabbing, and rubbing two of our party’s arms despite clearly asking and demanding to stop touching them. You know it’s bad when a sweet couple insisted to give a piece of shrimp tempura to one of us at our party who returned their food as detailed above.

Alex Wolfe: The food took forever, the portion sizes were absolutely awful! We ordered pork ramen and got the two tiniest, paper-thin pieces of meat I have ever seen. We saw our wait staff exactly once to order and once for our food over our hour and a half stay. Wait staff messed up one of our party's bills and demanded we pay the difference. She refused to listen to us and kept touching my fiancée and I even after we told her to stop several times.Parking: Parking is shared with several other businesses, you will be lucky to get a spot in under 10 minutes with how congested the parking lot is.
