My family and children all came down here with our very busy schedule and made it before closing but the doors were locked early. I knocked & asked if she could please take my return quickly that I drove down far specifically to do and that it is before closing time and she had an attitude and said she needs to “get everyone out of here and leave as soon as possible.” It was BEFORE 8 pm and closing. Maybe my skin color wasn’t her preferred type. I will never support this location again. Nordstrom it is for North Face purchases 👍🏼

Ping Zhou: North Face is a bit pricier than some other outdoor brands like Columbia, but you get what you pay for. They make good, durable products that are also stylish, but still cheaper than brands like Patagonia and Fjallraven. I own a pair of NF boots, gloves, and a parka, and I have never felt cold while wearing the full set.

Erik S: I went here yesterday to buy a coat and had a horrible experience that nobody at north face seems to care about. I had zero problem waiting in line to enter the store for forty plus minutes because I understand the importance of capacity limits during covid. While waiting myself, my husband, and a group behind us observed a man not wearing a mask at all and shopping. The store associate working the door took the customer over a paper mask - the customer declined and suddenly pulled out a cloth mask and put it on. Great - I was happy to see that interaction.This man repeatedly kept removing his mask and talking to the associates while walking around the entire store. The associates were very aware that this individual was not going to follow any safety protocols because he stared them in the face, spoke to them without a mask, and did it multiple times openly. My husband and I had just gotten to the front of the line and I pointed it out to the associate who looked over at me and rolled his eyes. The associate never said a word to me the entire time I stood at the front of that line other than to give me a non verbal attitude because apparently having the appearance of safety is more important than being safe.My husband and I left because I know trouble when I see it. We had drove an hour and a half to get to this location specifically for a particular coat that I needed to try on because of sizing concerns. The best part of it all is trying to tell north face about the experience afterwards. There’s no way to contact customer service online about an in store experience. There’s no way for me to reach out to that store manager. I will never give them my business again but anyone going to this location needs to know that they are not enforcing covid protocols other than the appearance of it. I was more than happy to give Nordstrom a sale and not have to risk my safety all over a coat. This location is a less than one star experience.

What do you know--the employees here said it would be at least 2-3 days before anyone would be in who could do the regripping. Drove all the way around the city to multiple locations to just have them tell me to go to Golf Galaxy. I should have just gone to a small business after this boondoggle.

So going here in person was an experience I was not prepared for, and I'm not sure if this lack of knowledge just made a good experience bad or if the store is just confusing in general.There was an impressive selection of products, from various brands. Lots of different budget options, too. But the clothes are all over the place, and I found it difficult to find exactly what I was looking for. Sure, brands were labeled, but to see exactly what products are, you need to walk right up to them to properly identify them (again, I'm not suited to this environment, so if this is not an actual problem that people have, then ignore me, please). The clothes blended into each other, making it difficult to determine if what I'm seeing in the distance is a sweater that I'm looking for or if it's just a cardigan or a long-sleeved shirt.The selection was big, but at least for me, it was difficult to find what I was looking for, so it just gets an "okay" from me.

elayne manciero: I went to pick up an order at the Lakeside store. Marianne waited on me. She was very friendly. I didn't realize when you order an item from the bedding department you have to go to the men's store. When I got to the men's store Marianne had call to let them I was picking up my item. They had it ready for me. They told me Marianne called them so my order would be ready. Thank you to Marianne for the great service!

Shirley Henry: I am disappointed at the APR of 30.99. I have a charge card and I think Macys will lose several customers due to the high APR percentage being charged on credit card customers. I also don't appreciate being charged $2.00 if not using my card within a month or so.

I was specifically told by the salesman that absolutely nothing would get denied, and when I filed a claim due to my kids staining the couch it was denied. No one came out to even look at it. This was just simply via an online claim. SCAM. This company will be out of business before we know it. Already filed with the BBB as well.

It’s a store like this that explains why people don’t go out to shop anymore and retail businesses are going away as the experience here was terrible.

Lauren Haight: This store is an embarrassment. Volleyball is one of the most popular sports and it never has decent shoes. Mizuno is a top tier brand, yet this tore never has any shoes in stock in sizes for women. It’s definitely catered to men. I also spent 20 minutes looking for a size/color. Couldn’t find anyone to help. I ended up settling for Nike (terrible vball shows) a few sizes up. Every time I come to this store, I can never find anyone in the show department to help and everything volleyball is out if stock.

Todd is the MAN!! He was patient and awesome working with me! He had me try out the sleeping bags, the pads, explaining options and didn’t mind while I asked question after question. I don’t care what anyone says, REI is my go-to!

Yes Barbara, you sell outdoor gear but you need to use both soap+water after using the restroom because it’s available to you in this bathroom (this is Troy, not a campground in the upper peninsula), it is a typical Michigan winter and flu/cold season, and DUH you are still a customer representative for REI. Disgusting.

I called the store to explain what happened, hoping I didn’t have to drive the hour back. Jessica Bertollini very promptly handled my issue, requiring her to go above and beyond any standard protocol. The customer service I received from her that day (and the day after) was outstanding, and I’m going to do my best to give my business to the Troy location solely from this experience.
