Antonio Ledbetter8: First time here. Customer service wasn't bad. But I would NOT recommend eating here. I lost appetite immediately. Chicken was not fresh, one piece was burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside. All peices were dry not edible in my opinion. Rather than get a refund I figured this instead. Go to Maty's nearby or my favorite spot KG's African & American grill in Garden City.

D D: Once tried to use the Groupon for there and the cashier looked at me like I was crazy. Told me to call the manager. Could never get thru to manager. Or come back at a certain time...why would I come back at that point. If a restaurant has offers make sure your staff knows..

I've had most things on the menu and they are good and the food is consistent.Now my problem is with the call in orders. If you call in an order and they say 20mins, if you get there at the 30.ins mark, you still have to wait 10+ mins. I feel like they have not system with those. Its not great if you are in a rush, otherwise a great place and good food

We had the red snapper and it was sooooo flavourful along with the side items. I encourage anyone to give it a try. You will not be disappointed 😁

Samuel Tao: The food was delicious and authentic. I got the Chicken Yassa and for $15, the portion was huge, and it came with either Djoloff rice or a huge plate of salas. You know its a hole in wall place and the food is good since most of the other patrons were also African. The staff were also really helpful and even gave us free water bottles. Parking can be an issue during crowded times though.

Alexis Corley: I used to love this place and go multiple times a week even though it’s 45 minutes from my house. I did not mind driving for the delicious food.. They’ve never had the best customer service, and often got my order wrong which I also let go of.The past few months it really went down hill, they cut the portions in half even though they charge top dollar, give you the smallest ball of fufu which was not prepared properly, and to make matters worse the taste of the food became inconsistent, the last time I went my food was cold and old and the sauce was literally dried up on my food so I’m not being dramatic. When I called I was told that my 2 dinners would be replaced with no problem. After a 45 minute drive there the manager (who was very rude) didn’t want to replace my order he said it’s “company policy” that they only remake a portion of it. That made no sense to me seeing how they got the FULL AMOUNT of what the food costed & messed up my entire order. $50 wasted & in the trash! I didn’t like how I was handles or how they served me old shop so I won’t be going back.

Thank you for your attention to detail and kindness. The only reason I rate it a 3 instead of a 1. The problem is the food. It doesn't taste like Nigerian dishes, not spicy or the spice they use in their dishes it just tastes salty . The food we ordered 2 jollof rice, vegetable stew w/ fufu and two stew chicken meals. The food was hot but it tasted like whoever cooked the dishes doesn't know how to season food according to their heritage. I have eaten at several different African restaurants. The people at my church are Nigeria and Ghana They prepared food for the congregation once a year. I do know what it is supposed to taste like and although customer service is excellent food isn't up to par to me

Amy C: I drove all the way to this restaurant to get Authentic African meat pie. I got home, opened my order and found beef patties that they sell at K &F on 9 mile rd for $1. People come to the restaurant for authentic food. If you don’t want to make authentic meat pies then don’t sell those beef patties for $5. I called and spoke with the manager who said “ oh those are jamaican meat pies.” Why would you sell Jamaican meat pie as African meat pies? Who does that? What a terrible experience. I have those beef patties from K&F African market on 9 mile and coolidge in my freezer . I won’t be coming back. I do not recommend. It’s a rip off.
