Sheena Marks: I worked for MCHS via FLA. I went to MCHS about the treatment of staff, esp. Black staff and students. I informed them that the principal had yelled at students (many times), called students out of their names, put her hands on students and her treatment of staff. Principal yelled at me, she is a micromanager to the extreme, etc. I still came to work and did my job. Nothing happened to the principal. We had a new management come take over, CEN. I informed CEN of my concerns and they told me it would be in my best interest to remain professional because they were keeping the principal. That lets you know nothing would happen. MCHS and CEN assured us this was going to be a smooth transition and that there would be interruption in money. CEN decided not to offer me employment for the upcoming school year. Which is fine and the best decision because we could not come to an understanding. However, they are refusing to pay me my summer pay. Both sides have wiped their hands of the issue. Nobody is willing to stand up for what is right. Beyond disappointing that somebody could of jumped in front of this and prevented this but everyone has refused. They give you scraps and want you to be grateful for it. I can walk away from knowing I did the right thing. You all will have to live with this forever. In this time, when things are priced higher and most people are struggling, I will not be paid my summer pay. Money I earned.

I needed an album for my grand daughter that was on Amazon but would take nearly a month to arrive because it was coming from Korea. I called Dearborn music, they didn't have it in stock but ordered it from their suppliers and I picked it up in two days. Very knowledgeable staff, loads of other good stuff available. I see why they have been in business for years.

River Bailey: I was there around a month or two ago, I stayed longer than the average stay due to family issues and the staff there was really understanding of it all and they were really helpful with everything. All of the staff respected my pronouns (or at least the ones I knew did) and they were all very kind. The staff there made it feel like an actual home and made my stay more enjoyable than I thought I would be. All of the staff were amazing and understanding of everyone there, especially Ms.Bonnie, ms.angel, mr.frank, Mr. Ronell (or mr.r, I don't really know how to spell his name) and Ms. Leslie, Ms. Latonya, and Ms. Andrea. I am thankful for everything all of these staff have done for me and all the other kids that stayed here.

WolfzieBoiz: Not too bad.Aside from a staff member mistreating me because I'm a transgender, it wasn't horrible. A few staff tried to press their religious beliefs onto me when I didn't even ask. That isn't allowed.This one lady even disrespected my mother when she spoke to her on the phone right after she tried to argue with me when I simply asked for her name. Another lady took 7 minutes out of my time to talk about Jesus and how trangenders and gays were sick and confused. I felt pretty silenced by staff, but the place itself was pretty nice.I would give this place 3.5 stars if I could, but four is close enough.

Teegan Braman: I didnt want to come in the first place, I came in June 2021 at 17. They food was good and so was snack. I didn't like the fact they gave you your meds at around 7:30-7:45pm and you didn't go to bed tell 9 or 10pm. (My pills made me really tired) some staff were really mean and would yell at us, but some weren't I liked my therapist & Doctor. You couldn't go outside at all. And most of the time staff wouldn't respect my Pronouns. Overall I honestly wouldn't recommend it but I mean there at least trying to help you

Cassidy Henson: I went here a while ago it was a very nice stay and the staff where very sweet, I personally wished I was able to go outside for a little bit. The staff members really cared about us Mr.Dre and Ms.kleo were really nice I liked it when they came in and supervised our house they allowed me to feel safe there and they where comforting. The night staff where really understanding and helped a lot too especially Ms. Juanita. My stay there was a pleasant stay and the therapists did allow me to feel understood and listened too, they also gave me a better life it's three months post safehaus. I feel a lot better and they allowed me to get the help I needed and I'm able to live life happy. 10/10 recommend it thank you safehaus.

Heylie Flannery: I went to safehaus hoping to get help they said they did lots of groups for therapy. I was there for a week and my grandma had to pull me from there because we did no groups the workers would yell at kids to shut up and when I told them I was feeling suicidal they said sorry you feel this way and that I shouldn’t feel that way, then when I self harmed and asked to clean it and a bandage they said no and that I shouldn’t have self harmed. I highly recommend to not send your child here IT WILL MAKE THEM WORSE. Mr.Steven and Mrs.kleo we’re the only staff members that seemed like they actually wanted to help us kids get better.

Justice C: This place changed my daughter's life in just one week! Shes been home for 3weeks now and she is still doing great! Thank you to all the wonderful staff! We did family therapy, my daughter seen the therapist by herself daily and she seen the psychiatrist who changed her meds and i believe that did wonders for my daughter! The doctors, nurses, and staff were all wonderful and they provided structure, and encouraged the kids to read and play games and participate in various activities. My daughter said they were rarely aloud to watch TV. And they encourage you to visit your child as much as possible.

Amy Duda: My daughter has been with Becky going on 4 years now, and my one year old since she could attend daycare at a few months old as well. We LOVE Becky and would highly recommend her to ANYONE. Becky is always available and takes such great care of our girls. I would not trust them with anyone else. The atmosphere of the daycare is so much like family and my kids have made real friendships with the other children there 3I give this daycare 5 big stars!

I've seen all the new equipment n toys it was a brand new facility, my dghter started when she was 3months and it wasn't an easy decision, but they've taught her the way I'd do if I wasn't working.Writing this review is my first, but when this chicken-head starts writing Bs about the school that helped raise my dghter I just had 2 take a min. n say smthng. Nobody's perfect n we definitely want our babies taken care of, so don't let smbdy bad day influence ur decision.

Working under the Leadership of Mrs Elizabeth she a kind hearted, loving passion and understanding person. She showed a lots of loving and caring for the children and their parents .She has a good Christian structure program . Servegood nurturing meals and it a clean safe environment. Mrs. Elizabeth never want to feel like she's our overseers she always stress to her staff that she one of us. I Admirer her for that.

Nateshia Anthony: Daycare Alert: Children Avenue Christian Learning Center (Detroit and Warren) I had a horrible experience with my baby at that location.. she kept getting sick like admitted to the hospital sick, not only that she had scratches on her face that they say she did with a toy which I know she didn't. She had multiple DEEP scratches... She was removed after that.... I took immediate action. Now here I am 3 years later and some lady walks up to me saying I work for that place... please don't ever send your kids there. The owner Elizabeth drags kids by their arms into her office and puts them under the desk, her staff disciplines the children (hits them, pops them in the mouth etc) feeds them food Monday left over in the fridge from Friday. She even buys toys from salvation army no matter the condition, mixes bleach and pinsol and sprays the toys, not wipes them but sprays them so the kids are playing with toys that have chemicals on them. She said the state comes out but she has cameras and sees then before they come and she switches up. She's mean to her staff etc. Please don't send them babies up there.

They teach them young, interact with each child and update you through an app with pictures and messages. It also tell you when they use the bathroom, how many times they eat, when they take a nap, etc. They have cameras. The will also work with you the best way they can. I highly reccomend this daycare to anyone.

She is learning so much with in two weeks. Things that I worked on with her at home far as numbers and spelling her name Kids Will Be Kids helped her do the rest. They are awesome.

Quinn Kotsko: Terrible service, multiple occasions when we would pick our kid up and our child would tell us about how the “professionals” would talk bad about us…to our kid. Unfortunately this was our only option for daycare, and we felt bullied the minute we signed up. Made our life much harder. Ex: calling me mid day and telling me they have “new policies” requiring their daycare to close early because they didn’t want to stay open for only 1 kid, weird. Clearly, their hours online show that they are opened later in the evening, midnight if i recall. This is just a small glimpse of what to expect when dropping your child off at this daycare. I would not recommend anyone to leave their loved ones with the people that work here. We will never bring our child back here.

They currently only stay open late for one child one, night per week and will not make excepts for new kids but still want to be paid the same amount. Super understaffed. Will only give a tour while the kids are asleep so that you can not see what it’s really like there. Staff were upset and yelling while I waited in the lobby for a tour. Then two people left early and there was only one person there for the ENTIRE daycare.

JENNIFER HUDAK: Our experience with Safari Kids Care and Miss Jen has been amazing! Our 3 year old daughter has come so far since first hoping last spring. We had pulled her from another daycare due to lack of attention and stalled growth. We we’re concerned about her being behind in development at that point. Since she joined, it has been like night and day for her development. Our daughter’s speech has improved tremendously as well as meeting where she would be at her age level for skills and development. Family and random strangers that we meet are often impressed with her level of communication. Her pediatrician has even pointed out how far she's come! Our daughter loves Miss Jen and feels safe with her. We absolutely recommend any parent to her and this program. They really go above and beyond & provide a fun learning experience for all!

Stephanie Moore: My child started here at around 1.5 years old and we felt her speech was behind and wanted to get her somewhere that had a great program instead of your typical "babysitter." Fast forward and now she is 3 years old - her primary care physician told us at her yearly check up this year that she is ahead of the game in everything! We believe that a lot of this has to do with Safari Kids Care and Miss Jen. She works with the kids and puts her heart in everything that she does. We couldn't ask for more and are so thankful!

At 1.5, she already knows her alphabet and she counted to 10 yesterday! I didn't even know she knew any numbers yet! She even helps put her toys away at home. We can't say "school" around her at home because she runs to the door ready to go! Since she was born at the beginning of the pandemic, she hadn't been around too many people so I thought she would have a hard time adjusting. Nope! She loves it there! Other daycares being full was a blessing because Ms. Jen is the absolute best! I love seeing her updates on the app and Instagram throughout the day. Our family also loves that they can see what she does throughout the day on Instagram!

kaitlyn Moore: We have been a member of Safari Kids Care for about a month now and our experience has been amazing! My daughter (2.5) has pretty intense separation anxiety and Miss Jen is handling it with compassion, care and excellence. She truly is trying so hard to ensure my daughter is feeling cared for and safe. The educational activities, structure and communication of this facility is truly impeccable. You know the day care is incredible when you barely verbal daughter comes home on day two and speaks a full sentence!! Today I asked my daughter what made her happy at school after pick up and she said "miss jen!" And then started doing a happy dance! We are more than happy with the service we have received so far and we are also thrilled with the incredible progress our daughter has made since starting with Miss jen!! We recommend her to literally everyone!!!

Emily Griffin: This is the 1st time my 3 yr old son is in a daycare/school setting and I was very nervous how he would react to a structured social atmosphere. Jen was amazing with letting us know how he was doing and what he needs to work on and what he is doing well. You can tell Jen loves kids and her little explorer family. I feel very relaxed knowing that he is being introduced to all types of creative learning and play. After day 1, he seemed more talkative and loved his time there. He asked to go back. I love that she uses educational play to teach social and developmental skills. I would definetly recommend.

There are safety locks, variety of toys and activities to stimulate their brains and increase positive interaction with other peers. Everything is kept clean and sanitized and has a warm atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and overall it's a great space.

Alexa Lynch: I visited the center and it was beautiful! You can tell Jeniffer put a lot of thought and care into the layout of the space. There are a variety of toys and activities for the kids to use, safety instructions on the walls for staff, and a room solely dedicated to educational curriculum (reading, writing, counting, etc.). There was also a space to display the kids' art which was so cute! I highly recommend Safari Kids Care for anyone looking for a vibrant, safe, fun, and educational space for their children.

Maggie Marshall: Have you ever been to a place and just thought my kids would love it here and have so much fun? This is that place it was so professional everything had child safety locks on it, exit signs and maps where all the exits were are in every room they even do fire drills!! And everywhere you look there is something educational I have definitely found my new daycare!!

Neil Klinger: Safari Kids Care is amazing. My son (5) and daughter (3) have lots of fun, and learn so much in the process! Jeniffer uses a variety of educational activities to keep their minds and bodies active. They are provided with healthy foods while there. Jeniffer is very professional, and her home is safe and clean. I enjoy seeing the detailed progress reports that she makes at the end of the day, and am amazed at the amount of work they are able to accomplish. At the end of the week, we also get to take home their completed projects and art which is fantastic. The kids love it, we love it; couldn't be happier to have them in such a fantastic program.

kelley hall: My daughter had her earrings stolen whole she was attending this daycare. That was the first incident. The last straw was she came home with a bead stuck up her nose. No one at the daycare said they knew about it.

Kayla Zeller: My child does not go here but from what I seen today I feel must share for other parent's. I was driving past and I seen two ladies outside with all the kids and one of the kids was close to the street! As soon as I seen this young boy who seemed about 3-4 close to the street with no eyes on him, I slowed down slow so I could watch to see if any of the staff would grab him and get him away from the street to a safe play area. It took about 1-2 minutes for one of the daycare ladies to notice, that's 1-2 minutes long. Then I seen her grab this little boy by his shirt! Not his hand or gently pull him away from the street. Either these people are under staff or they don't pay attention they way they should. I would never take my daughter here after what I seen. I hope this helps other parents and I wish I know the parent of this young boy.

Mahogany P: Initially this daycare seemed like a good fit for my daughter until a few months ago. I would pick her up and her face and clothes would be a mess, hands dirty like she hadn't been attended to all day. Then, about a month ago I picked her up and took her home only to find that she had the same diaper on for an entire 9 hours! I knew because we send her in pull ups and only provide the daycare with diapers. She had on the pull up that I put her in that morning. I was so pissed. They apologized and said it would never happen again. I gave them another chance and three weeks later, it happens AGAIN. This is ridiculous. The daycare is open late which was hard to find and necessary with my work schedule. But it's simply not worth it anymore. I'm really disappointed.
