American Red Cross Blood Donation Center: what do users think?
Angel Dixon: People here are very nice and have had no problems or issues.
Eliza Rice: I started donating blood to ARC at MSU a lifetime ago. Pretty sure the new college nurses used us for practice. Such is not the case in Warren. They know what they are doing and work as a team. I've seen the Sr staff members training new staff. Unless we move I won't go elsewhere!
Jayme Ann: Drove 30 minutes to get to Red Cross. Very disappointed when I was turned away WITH AN APPOINTMENT due to lack of staff. I do not meet qualifications for double red and did not have 2 hours to donate plasma. If you are not going to have staff, do not have appointments available. Very disappointed they did not call or text to cancel appointment before I drove all the way there.
girlytoads: I had a very pleasant experience donating platelets. Brianna is very sweet.Comfortable chair, kind Red Cross workers. I watched a movie as I gave platelets. Bring your favorite cozy blanket and a mask 😷 to wear.
Ray Lyle: Friendly staff and comfortable donation area.
Laura Moran: Excellent experience donating plasma today. Charles had fabulous bedside manner.
Ryan Wietchy: The phlebotomist left the tourniquet on way too tight for the duration of my donation. She placed the needle in and then quickly went into a private room right away with another patient without telling me she was leaving or that another employee will be assisting me in the meantime. She was very rushed and also couldn’t use one of the blood sample tubes because she was going too fast. Now I have nerve irritation and issues with my arm due to their negligence. Not sure if she was inexperienced but they seemed very understaffed and not a good customer service experience.
Tanya F: I was 6 minutes late for a 3-hour platelet donation and was given a “talking to” about being on time. I’ve been donating platelets for years at other centers without issue. However, two out of the 3 times I’ve been at the Warren center now, they were either rude, unprofessional and/or borderline negligent. I worked in healthcare for 10 years and know the difference, though I assume for most it would also be hard to ignore. The last time, the tech nearly completely ignored me and had a personal discussion with her coworkers throughout the procedure. I assume it’s easy enough to pay attention to a donor while you’re working with them for 5 minutes, and to perhaps check back in with them at least every 1/2 hour or so. They finally checked on me only when I had 10 minutes left to go.I recommend setting an alarm for those who have difficulty remembering to do it and some sort of professionalism training for the staff.Needless to say, I will be donating elsewhere in the future.
S Riyadh: Some of them don’t know how to talk to people professionally. Would never go there again
Lori Shaw: Not a positive experience! Power Red donation scheduled. Needle was inserted incorrectly, no issue on my part, staff unapologetic, was given a ice pack and told I had to wait 8 weeks before donating again. Even with Rapid Pass after 1 hour and 15 min all I received was a large bruise and not even a thank you for my time, extremely disappointed with my experience here. Tried to save a life...sadly I couldn't!
Holly Feikens: Just got turned away from a drive for being late for my appointment. There were no signs, no evidence of a drive. Maybe turning away your O neg, CMV neg donors isn't the best practice. Don't worry I'll explain it all when you call me to ask why I haven't donated recently.I did give 3 stars because this was the first bad experience. I'm not going to completely penalize the Red Cross for one bad employee.
Jean Fadden: There was no waiting, and the staff is friendly and professional.
Cardi DeMonaco: Always a great experience when donating blood here.
Chris Gordon: Screaming at somebody to relax isn't going to make them relax when you're about to poke their finger.
O. Evans II: Giving life!!!!
Draugr Undead: The people are kind, but they've never been able to get blood from my fiancé :/ either they've closed up for maintenance, or couldn't complete the blood donation for some reason or another. My fiancé has Hemochromatosis so he needs to get his blood taken anyway, and we want to donate it. Just nothing has been able to work out and he's getting sicker.(Hemochromatosis is too much iron in the blood and inability to get rid of it. The blood is fine to give to other people, but to the sufferer, it poisons them slowly. Getting blood taken regularly keeps the iron levels down.)
mii brown: Nice
Chris Prieto: Always good to give blood.America needs this.
Mark S: Friendly (if a little gruff) staff.
Shawn Sawyer: There always so friendly
Wendy Jenks: Give your blood save lives!

Grace Centers of Hope Thrift Store Warren: what do users think?
C Wilton: They know me almost by name try to come at least once a week
Cheri Garrett: They truly have nice things but what I don't understand is why are some of the prices are so high when it was giving to them for free? I mean it was things that the donators didn't want obviously and if they hadn't donated those things to them it would have been donated to the trash can or curb. I understand they want to make some kind of profit but please be reasonable to the public's pockets about it remember you got it for FREE so please try not to rob other poor peoples pockets but other than that they do have fabulous things....
jon winters: Very RUDE unprofessional workers! Their delivery services sucks! I will NEVER again patronize this thrift store!
Mazhar Khan: Prices are very low and staff is very friendly.
Gerel Buttram: Very good thrift store. Good variety.
Jerry Fawcett: Cool DOG!! Cool STORE!! Love this place.
Co Beadia: I used to really like this one. But they took out their dressing rooms and have a sign out front that they do not have any public restrooms and if you you bring something to the counter that does not have a price tag on it (which most items doesn't have a price) they will NOT sell it. And there where two ladies at the counter one just sitting there talking and the other actually working.
Arianna Pattullo: The clothes are a bit overpriced for sure, but still cheaper than salvation army or goodwill! The staff was super friendly and it's a good organization to support. I benefited from this organization as a child in need, so I will gladly drive out of my way to deliver donations here to pay it forward. Bonus: Found an authentic, autographed painting here today from a popular Chinese artist in the 40s. A treasure for sure! Paid $10 for it!
Cathryn Smits: Incredibly overpriced for donated goods. Don't waste your time.
Nze Bertram Chinyelugo, PHF: Great place to shop for artifacts while helping the homeless. I recommend a visit and patronage.
Paul S (Skip): Very friendly staff. Prices are a little high on some things for being donated. But something are not priced bad. Do like this place though
Romero Jackie: it was awesome
Amanda Flowers: Barley any clothes and the second you walk in the store all it smells like is cigarette smoke. It smells like a chain smokers house absolutely disgusting
Michael Mitchell: Ridiculously high prices. I passed on a bunch of items. As I was leaving, I noticed a 50 percent off everything sign. I just left. Why not start with reasonable prices, instead of having to mark them down? You are a thrift store, and the community depends on your prices to be reasonable. Please reconsider your practice of pricing high, even with 50percent off some items were still overpriced.
Beverly Beverly: Over priced clothing $7.99 for used yoga pants ,$1.25+ for cup lots of vintage stuff.
Nicole Harbert: Love the people and service 💞
Robbie Dew: I enjoy going there once a week!
Toni Craighead: Beautiful everything was half off today!!! I got everything and more I will always come back 💯!!!!
Jacquie Anderson: They could have a lot more stuff to sell if they had more workers. They have tons of stuff in the back with bags up to the ceiling that's been like that for months and no one to open them and sort them and put them on the floor. They also have a lot of carts full of stuff in the back that's been there for months.
Shelia Blazofsky: Great Place. Nice people, and very reasonable. ❤
Minhaz choudhury: High price

The Salvation Army Family Store & Donation Center: what do users think?
Donna Kristine: Pros: Good stuff for reasonable prices.Large selection. They accept cash or credit. Some staff is kind and friendly .Cons: Bathrooms are always dirty and smelly. The boutique section is extremely over priced. Staff is often in the way and hinders your shopping experience. Sometimes, it's impossible to get by. That makes for an unpleasant shopping experience.
S Huyghe: This, like most Salvation Army stores, is CLOSED.
Margarita Ortiz: Good
Ms Tova: Nice , clean, Good service
Kenzie Louchart (Kawaiikittykenz): Large women's selection, not as much children's or men's most definitely worth a stop of in the area looking for some steals . Had a lot of new with tag items. Fairly priced but had a hard time reading the prices as they're handwritten tags.
Janis Holman: I think some pricing is a little high.
Tracie Bock: Thank you to the kind gentleman who works at the donation drop off. He looked through the items kindly and I truly appreciated his friendliness and respect. This location I recommend over going to St. Clair Shores where they are horribly mean.
Holly Smith: I like this salvation army. The manager shannan is very courtesy and professional. She always has thr store looking good and Is very helpful if a customer needs somethingI will definitely be going back here
Nickol Best: I wish stuff was a little easier to find, but if you look you can usually find some really good options.Love the deals and unique finds!
Sophia L: Prices are way too high for a thrift store; you can buy new items for around the same price. The store was clean, but the employees were very unwelcoming.
Michael Robinson: Great bargains. Clean environment. Courteous staff. Large variety of items. Excellent location.
Shoobox: Friendly staff, way too expensive. Stained and damaged clothing still full price.
Earl Roland: I tried to donate some furniture but they refused it but they're selling furniture no better than what I was trying to donate
Kia Arriaga: Just tried dropping a few boxes with new items, and the donations attendant was incredible rude (black, heavy set dude in his 20's). I had 3 light boxes, so I asked if I could put them near the door, he acted so surly, not even looking at me o even acknowledge I was there, told me to wait until they finished unloading a big truck of furniture. Who has an hour to wait around? How awful! trying to give free things for them to sell, only to be treated like trash.I rather put this in the garbage than giving them a penny.
Chesherl Fears: I just go for DVDs and they are great nice sale everyday movies two DVDs for $1
Maurita Grimes: My favorite thrift store at the moment. They always have good stuff. Great shoe and purse selection. Houseware selection is great too.
Samantha Willis: Staff is rude. Come to make a donation during the donation hours and are ignored by staff.
Margaret Taylor: I love it there I'm a regular I try to go at least 3 times a week.
Amy Z: I do a lot of drop offs and I have not been been inside this new location since they have moved , but the displays from van Dyke windows look as though it’s organized much better. Fast and easy drop offs though for sure
Gina Owens: I found it to be rather expensive!Stuff straight out the Dollar store for $2.99 & $3.99
Katelyn Laethem: They don’t know the difference between recommended and required when it comes to wearing a mask.Forced out of the store for not having a mask. And due to medical reasons I can’t wear a mask anyway.

American Red Cross Donor Center South Macomb: what do users think?
Cheryl Battani: Every platelet donation I do is always a positive experience. I started my platelet donation story in July 2021. I just did my latest platelet donation on 3/15/2023 and Jazmine was fantastic. She is sweet, kind and I feel I am always in good hands with her. Everyone at the Warren Red Cross is welcoming, nice and I look forward to my future platelet donations there. I am always thanked for my platelet donations❤️
Pamela Jablway: Everyone is friendly and helpful. Love donating here.
Christopher Juarez: I have never in my life been treated so poorly for wanting to give blood to help a cause.. Yelled at and told we are “short staffed” when 6 people are sitting around. My advice is to find another donation center where your kindness is appreciated.
Karen Ciaramitaro: Always a great experience when giving blood. The plus factor is that you are helping more than one person when you donate blood.!!!!!!
Andrey Zaharov: Not sure if this post will be flagged but I know that red cross is a scam and that blood you're donate for FREE" gets sold to patients through their insurance.
Anna Natushko: With no explanation, they cancelled my twice over confirmed appointment that I had for today. I called and was told the reason was “negative appointment time”. Have no idea what that means and they would not explain. I figure for them to answer the phone saying they are in a crisis and need blood, they wouldn’t be cancelling donation appointments.
Greg Donahoe: First rate staff and blood donation experience.
Paul Gaughan: Friendly, professional staff make giving easy.
Russ Bettridge: The beds have been spaced just right so they can get more people in now than they could a few weeks ago. We are all busy trying to help others in need of blood.
Lynn Gordon-Miller: The staff was awesome 👌
Doyle Steil: I wish more people would donate
Shaqe Dedvukaj: Great experience our instructor was amazing she makes you want to stay longer ,Thank you Lori hopefully when I'm there again you will be my instructor because we could tell you love what you do and that makes all the difference in the world to us ❤
Holly Gray: This is my perfered location to go to make donations, it's clean and updated, the staff is professional, I donate plasma when I can, they listen to your needs when donating, as I have to use the iodine solution to clean my arms. They talk and keep you comfortable the whole time, I do prefer more attention to the set up and my arms and less talk but each person is different this would still be my first choice facility!I also prefer this location over mobil blood drives.
David D: Wonderful friendly staff and super efficient!I was in and out in no time. The process was surprisingly easy and painless and the Lorna Doones were a bonus 😂
Jeffrey D: Great place and they are doing GOD'S work.
Chris Prieto: Six star... Donation center...
James Peak: Staff was super friendly and accommodating.
Em: Kind and caring. Considerate and careful. Clean, friendly and great location.
Louise: I got the impression the tech was new so I was bracing myself... was nicely surprised that he was actually phenomenal and I didn't even feel the needle 😃
J Dobb: Great staff!
Rhonda Thoman: I can't donate anymore but they are always nice and professional.

Macomb County Habitat for Humanity ReStore: what do users think?
Dis appointed: Used to be able to get some decent deals here- Not any more!Prices of many of the used items I looked at were HIGHER than retail of new items elsewhere.Seeing as how your merchandise is donated there is no need or excuse to gouge people with your pricing!
Helen Ann: Visited here yesterday. The prices are so high now it’s ridiculous. I will not be returning. You can find much better deals at yard sales and Facebook Marketplace. This is supposed to be Habitat for Humanity but their prices are inhumane.
Jackie Barlet: Poor service. SMH
L Blossom: I got my couch here for a decent price and it was pretty clean! The awesome people who worked there helped me move the couch onto my trailer. Thanks!
Diane Spencer: I visited this store with my friend and we were followed constantly and watched I work a job I don't have to steal anything I have never stole anything in my life I will not support this location the employee followed and watched so tough I just played cat and mouse so he can have something to watch
cliff montgomery: Very nice people. I’ve found plenty of great bargains. To some of you others who complain, please consider: It’s a charity. Thx for your donations. Pls include a bit more kindness and consideration.
Todd Doughty: Awesome.
Rachel Leonard: I've been to a lot of restores and I can't believe this place. It feels like you've walked into a hoarders garage. It's filthy, disorganized, hard to figure out what they're selling let alone anything specific you're looking to buy. I came to donate and browse. When I pulled in, all the signs said donations accepted during store hours only, but then when I asked at the front they said they don't accept them after 3.
M B: I support the Restore by shopping there only, I have refrained from visiting lately because the store is closed during day time. No notices on the door or anything. Also their prices are little too high and someone needs to check around before they price things here. Why would I buy a used window for $200 if it’s $129 at the big box store?!
Jenny & Alex: Rip off. We have supported many Habitat projects and stores over the years but unfortunately the person in charge of pricing the items here is completely detached from reality. Many items are priced at or above the full retail price for a new item! It’s really too bad. Habitat used to be a great place to donate unused tools and materials and also pick up discounted items. I hope they can find their way back.
Karen Deneau: Found exactly what I was looking for at a super great price. Store staff was friendly and helpful.
Sunny Days: Most items are higher than retail at big box stores. But if you looking for odds peace it a fun place walk around. I like electric section lot old stuff. I was able to rebuild a old fan.
KB MILLER: Well here is the 100% Truth, I donated probably 10,000 in paint to them in the past 3 years, & I am appalled at a. The prices of what they sell that is donated to them which is three times the normal price and B. the fact that they are made aware of it and do nothing about it and C. The fact that I am told that I may receive 1/2 off 1 item for this amount of donation, I usually say nothing and walk on, but not this time, so when the time comes I will recommend to all my followers the 200,000+ to go elsewhere until then the salvation army and other stores have better pricing btw habitat folks change the name to Habitat for our pockets because that is what you have become and it's sickening to the core...
Keith Gardner: Great deals for used household items appliances furniture tools fittings all kinds of things
TONY POETIC: Very good place to shop.
Julie Zarzycki: Great store Great service
Catherine Dial-Boyd: Prices are extremely high for it to be a retail donated materials store
James Rogers: Everyone was really friendly. Thanks for helping me wrap my table.
Daisy Karan: Cool fund place to shop
Kristenn D: This is a great store to shop at if you’re looking for furnish your home for cheap, they even have cheap paint for small projects :)
Munir Shareef-ET: Very good prices

BioLife Plasma Services: what do users think?
Kenisha Franklin: Very organized. Rude as hell. Unclear & confusing with the information.
Shawn Franklin: All of the staff are excellent
Daniel Treuter: Jimmie was and always is, a great tech to get for donating. He hits the vein good & is always friendly. Hope I get his section next time I go.
Celina Wardlaw: Jimmy serviced me an he has the best attitude very polite and informative
Ron Ryan: im a new customer, they refused to help me in person and wont help online After offering 900 dollars for a new client, they botched a blood check and defered my 900 dollar pay , then they missed my vain 3 times causing pain and arm swelling, this place is a RIP OFF stay clear of here
Samantha: DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!My sons arm was swollen and bruised horribly after donating here! He had to go to the emergency room to make sure you didn’t have a blood clot. I would post pics if I could. Literally, half his whole arm is black and blue!He went up there to speak to the manager and they didn’t care. Just told him to go home and put ice and heat on it.They had an inexperienced new nurse working on people. I won’t post her name because it’s not fair to her she wasn’t trained properly. She clearly didn’t know what she was doing and he told her she was hurting him.I get some bruising is normal but this is way beyond. He can’t move his arm and he can’t work this way. THERE WAS NO COMPASSION! We all can get a bruise or a little swollen. He looks like he was in an accident! It’s horrible, they are horrible! My son is O Negative and wants to help ppl but this mother will NOT let him ever go back to this place again! The ER doctor was even shocked and thought he had a blood clot!We tried to discuss with this facility but due to their lack of patient concern I was left with no alternative but to notify their next potential patient on this public space.
Isaac Ringling: I have tried and tried to be a new donor at this site but they do not answer their phone. I used to donate at another site before I moved and never had this issue.
marie macauley: Crystal is so sweet and the best sticker
Bri Kreft: It was my first experience giving plasma and, although it did feel a tad disorganized at times, the staff was amazing. I will say that it did feel like a little back and forth and LOTS of waiting for someone to tell you what to do (obviously due to staff shortages/overworked staff) but they were able to keep the chaos to a minimum which can’t be an easy task in a place with so many moving parts.Jimmie, along with almost every staff member I encountered, was absolutely amazing at helping me through the process which took all of my nerves away. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thank you!!Oh, and I also got my first payment BEFORE I left the building!
Sir smoke Alot313: They slow and they never answer their phones
Wendy: I went through the 8 visits as a new donor. Overall not a bad experience and would happily become a regular donor if they could figure out how to handle appointment times and # of people there. It should take 60-75 minutes total, but at this location you will stand in lines waiting for a long time. My first visit took 3.5 hours, visits after that took 2 to 2.5 hours. The only way to get out of there in 90 minutes or less is to get the first appointment of the day. They need more employees or schedule less appointments. Most of the people who work there are nice, particularly liked Jimmie and Celeste. One phlebotomist was obviously not happy at her job (she told me so), and openly told me she was not fully certified as a phlebotomist and my arm was bruised so bad. That was the only poor experience I had besides the excessive waiting in lines.
Virginia Robinson: I would like to file a complaint about Harris at the Warren, Michigan location. I had an appointment to donate plasma at 7pm. I arrived at 6:45pm did the online questionnaire and got in line for screening behind 2 other people. I watched Harris tell one donor to leave because he ran out to his car to grab his coat and wallet. Then when it was my turn, while she was taking my vitals, she made several comments about how she was locking the front door right at 7pm. I told her I’m glad I was early because my appointment was at 7pm.As Harris took my blood sample she commented on how well hydrated I was. No air bubbles. She then told me that my heart rate was too high at 111bmp. She asked me to have a seat and that she would retake it in 10 minutes. The very next woman she screened was told the exact same thing. Her third donor was told his iron was too low. All the while she kept making comments counting down the minutes until 7pm. At which point she walked away from the donor she was checking in to lock the front door. She called me back up and put the pressure cuff on my opposite arm and said my heart rate was now 103 and still too high and asked was I upset about something? I said no, just in a hurry to get here before they lock the doors. I asked if she could use a different machine, because I know that center has had issues with the blood pressure machines. She said no, that after 2 failed heart rate tests I couldn’t donate. When I pointed out that she hadn’t passed her last 3 donors, she said it wasn’t her fault and that we all had different reasons why. I repeated that I am healthy and have never had an issue with my vitals in the 3 months since I started coming there. I even took my own heart rate while I was waiting and it was 100bpm.I left and as I was pulling out of the parking lot, the woman who was behind me in line was leaving now too and said she was told her iron was too low.In all the times I have stood in line (and I usually do for at least 45-60 minutes at this center) I’ve never seen so many people turned away from donating. It’s very obvious that Harris was intentionally denying donors so she could get off work ASAP.I should add that I am wearing an Apple Watch. My resting heart rate has been 82bpm all day and my walking heart rate right before I walked into the center was 112bpm. I walked from the back of the parking lot as it’s was packed.I’ve never spent less than 2 hours at this center to donate plasma. Tonight I was happy to walk in and not see a line of people that is usually there. This is after driving 35 miles from work to get there in time for my 7pm appointment. I know now why there was no line and the lowest amount of donors on beds that I’ve ever seen there. Harris is refusing donors.I like the techs at the center, but the Heath screeners and scheduling is lacking. If a solution can not be found, I guess I will switch to one of the other 3 plasma centers in the area.
Dorian Pierce: This place has horrible time management and professional skills. The employees here talk wayyy too much. Here, a woman's needle site ruptured while she was in the middle of a donation cycle just today. The management here needs to be replaced with competent leadership. If you can donate at another location, I suggest that you do, unless you want to spend a few hours here while risking a bad stick...
JabbaBeatFreakQuest: The staff is nice and hard working, but takes years just to get in the bed to donate. Don’t try to call the center and expect someone to answer, they will *not*
fiercetigerkity: Playing with your Veins! Couldn’t get the needle in both of my arms! My appointment was on 2/7/23. The person handling the area I was in stuck a needle in both of my arms and was adjusting the needle because my blood wasn’t flowing right. I told him that I have a deep vein but no kept on playing with it now it’s 2/18/23 and both of my arms are still bruised from adjusting the needle and my left arm has a huge knot in it where the needle went in. I have to go to the doctor now because this knot hurts and I now I am worried. I hope my veins are okay. I wanted to donate plasma to save lives but I feel like my veins got blown out instead!
Qiana Vines: If Miss Noel and SOME of the other phlebotomists stopped TALKING, I promise the day would go by at least 2 hours faster. There’s entirely too much talking. And whoever is in charge of the scheduling up there needs to be fired.
Milly: First time going here. I had th renew it's been long time. But it took like 2hrs. But they where friendly and it wasn't as bad and the nice lady noticed I was nervous but. She made it less painful. So ya I'll come again 😃
Loretta Duncan-Brantley: Saturday morning. Appointment at 11:15. It is now 11:52. The line is ridiculous BECAUSE THEY HAVE ONE PERSON DOING VITALS.ONE!!Understaffed much?I am guessing that I will not be out until 230 or 3. Crazy.
Michael Godfrey: No point in making people make appointments if you schedule 30 people for the same appointment time. You wait around for literally 2 hours before getting vitals and the line is wrapped around the building. This place is so poorly ran it would make your head spin..
Teri Knuckey: This place is the strictest place. They are way to strict on the meds you take. Over and above FDA regulations. Over a low dose tramadol I couldn't donate
Evette Clemons: Good money but very very slow staff are slow the line is crazy long you can be in line for a hour then the machine that you donate off is slow very just don’t come here if you have to work or something important to do be ready to be here for hours terrible do better or upgrade your equipment in hire more people
