Michael Christie: Hi, I just called and asked for a fireplace and was told they only do gas logs. So I guess I’ll have to buy a fireplace from someone else. Seems silly to be named fireplace and bbq and then not have the insert needed to perform as a fireplace.
Steve Glauberman: They do good work but they are ridiculously overpriced. They charge a flat rate to fix my gas fireplace (~$365) which had a pilot light problem plus a zone charge (~$65) since I’m in Ann Arbor. While they did tell me this up front, and I agreed, I felt totally taken advantage of when the service person fixed my problem in 5 minutes by tightening a screw all for the low price of $430. I’m going to have to find someone else moving forward.

Axel and Carrie Brodermann: We actually had 3 different quotes for fireplaces and went with American because the gas line installer was incredibly experienced and professional. Unfortunately since we've had the fireplace put in we've had multiple problems. After the allotted 'burn off' time for the logs to omit a smell we were still having major problems (about 2 weeks after running the fireplace 8 hours a day). We got carbon monoxide detectors because I was worried about the constant smell and almost immediately after installing them they went off! The company sent out someone to clean them off and after it was much better (no carbon monoxide detectors going off). Now we are having problems with our remote and although we are on a manual setting the fireplace is going on after I manually set it to off and vice versa! Maybe we have had an incredibly unlucky experience, but its terrifying having carbon monoxide detectors going off and the fireplace switching on after manually shutting it off. Needless to say I don't feel exactly 'safe' with what has been offered by the company.
Lorrayne DeFer: If more of our businesses in this country ran like this place does, we'd be better off.I had a gas fireplace installed many years ago by this company and I still rave abouttheir customer service, know how and follow-up.I am thinking about putting a small fireplace in my sunroom so I can use the room in the winter…American Fireplace will be the place I call!!!!!

Jay Will: Menards just does things right and this location is awesome. Staff is super helpful and friendly. They always seem to have everything in stock that is needed and prices with the rebate are always some of the best around compared to the other stores. Huge parking lot with lots of spots never too busy.
Mohammed Ahmed: Extremely disappointed with my experience doing a store pick up. First off I had to go and pick my own lumber (why is it a store pick up if I have to pick it out myself). Secondly they didn’t assist with loading up my truck. Only reason it’s not a 0 because of Brian who was really nice and helped me load the trolly even though it was his department.

Can be a pain to have to run around the entire store if you need just one thing that happens to be at the front. Or having to go through the entire parking lot just tonget something thats at the register.

Bear B: This is my favorite Menards location in the area. Always has the items I'm shopping for in stock. The rebates and sales are another we reason we keep coming back. The staff is friendly and helpful. I dont recall ever having a bad experience there.
Matt Orlando: Everytime we go there we receive 1st class customer service from all of the staff. The store is always clean and well stocked. Whenever there is an item not on the shelf the staff is always willing to go the extra mile to see if they had more in the back.
KDawg: This Menards location is currently partnered with a sales firm called One Nation Consulting, a third party AT&T sales division run by very shady individuals. In addition to offering very sub par deals on internet and cable, they've also just outright refused to pay two of their former employees. I would advise avoiding them at all costs, and I'm quite frankly ashamed on Menards behalf. I can't imagine why any respectable company would be associating themselves with people who treat their employees so poorly.

Martin Trump: Beyond Excellent customer service! It's Christmas Eve, 3-degrees with no furnace and frozen pipes. A month ago I bought a nice big entertainment center that looks like a fireplace but has a space heater. I plug the unit in and it's faulty. I'm panicking. Called Menards in Warren and spoke to Chris the store manager. Explained my situation and that I cannot break down the entertainment center to return, plus I no longer have the box. Of course the store closes in an hour. Chris said remove the space heater and bring it in for exchange. I was in disbelief that he already had a plan in place. Further, Chris had a team already lined up and waiting for me. I really appreciated Kemond from plumbing, Mike from I think electrical and Colleen at Customer Service. Within minutes Kemond had a replacement while Mike showed me additional space heaters I wanted also. Colleen ran the Customer Service desk like a real pro, having my exchange ready and my additional purchase rung up. I really appreciated how organized and efficient the teamwork was, but what I appreciated the most is just how respectful and courteous everyone was. You don't get awesome service or help like this anymore. In short, I'm DONE bouncing back and forth from Home Depot and Lowes. I like Menards. I like those people. I'm going to Menards from here on out. Thank you so very much for everything you've done for me.

Deborah Watson: I went to Lowes to get a cart that can go up stairs. I could not find it and asked a employee about where could it be. The employee's name was George. He stopped what he was doing and found it and he put the cart together. George was very helpful and polite. George wasn't like the other place all they do is point you in the direction and walk away. Lowes will be the place I will go to. Great Job!
Lynn Lee-Hubert: A few years ago, I had a side garage door replaced. I had a door measure/ install and that was off season December and a issue! Fastfoward to 2023. I gave Lowes another try. I ask specifically ahead. how long for the door to arrive and what is the door install time frame. 2 weeks install max! Orders 4 weeks max. End result Doors took 6 weeks with me stopping in the last 3 weeks on status reports. Mobody calls you. I had to stop in again inquiring about install. I had to call and text the installer. Long response times. Takes the whoke week to get bsck to me. Install now 4 weeks maybe 5/30. I should of went to PELLA for the darn door in the first place. Yes its more money but it would of been already installed. My front door is going to be installed by PELLA on my next purchase. Let alone my roof that I had reached out for an estimate on. I hd actually only wanted Lowes to do. . Im sooo angry, frustrated and disappointed with Lowes. Its not like installs are cheap.

Nadia Khan: I placed an order for storm door installation through Lowe’s with Great Lakes Door Company. The measurements were completed on January 10th requiring additional parts to be ordered through Lowes. I paid for the door, labor, and additional parts. The installers attempted installation in March, which was two months later. They were unable to complete it because additional parts were needed, so installation was rescheduled. It’s April 4th and the incorrect part was ordered by Lowe’s so now it must be rescheduled again! No proper communication with me and amongst themselves. It is extremely delayed and there is a lack of professionalism. Very disappointed in Lowe’s, the worst customer service!!

There is a large availability of materials and tools, so in a pinch most things you need will be here.Follow up:We bought appliances from here and were treated like utter ^$*$. The delivery "men" told us they couldn't take our washer because it was "full of water" must have been magical invisible water.. They were full of something alright. I moved myself alone without issue..it must have been a miracle right? One guy with a bad back moves a washer "full" of water while 2 200+lbs "men" say it was "too heavy" for them.Then they(Lowes) delivered a dishwasher with parts missing.. their delivery department hung up on us 4 times, utter trash. We will no longer to buissness with Lowes!

Orlando Saenz: My complaint is they offer this free Trim+Go service to cut Levolor blinds but it is SO HARD to get someone at the store to do it, there's only 1 single guy that can do it and good luck if you caught him at lunch time, please post a schedule of hours which I can plan to go, even it's a 2 couple hours a day, I will make room in my schedule, but I want to NOT spend 2 hrs in the aisle waiting for the guy, make an appointment system or something., I even went back to ger more custom blinds and this time the guy was off that day, so had to leave and asked to come back the day after.I had quoted blind online and other suppliers and this is much much much much cheaper, so my dream to have a cheap fauxwood slates blinds that are CORDLESS for under 100USD was great, I love the idea of it and the quality is as expected.

P Zaliwski: Everyone from the office and the service techs were great in helping me with a bad situation I was left with from another company. They were very informative, kept me up to date on my parts ordered. The tech (Dustin) was very informative about what he was doing and got my fireplace up and running again. His work was very neat,fast and left everything clean. Thank you Motown fire for getting it done and done right. Definitely call again if I need help or an upgrade on the fireplace. 👍
