Just Energy: what do users think?
Mark Bolles: Do not use just energy! They are liars. I was told I would save on utilities. I used them for both gas and electric. Between the two bills they went up $100! You have to call to terminate your contract. There is no fee to cancel but they put you on hold forever during the cancellation process.

Alexis Davis: My entire experience with this company can only be described as a joke.We were stopped by a representative at Sam's Club to get us signed up with them as our electric service provider. The representative looked at our current bill, current and average usage and assured us that making the switch will lower our monthly bill. About a week or 2 later, I got the information packet in the mail and could review our actual plan. Turns out this is plan is $99 for [I believe] 100 kWh, then an additional fee per kWh over. My household is all electric (including baseboard heat), so we consistently use OVER 2000 kWh. Our current rate was less than a penny per kWh. I called Just Energy after reviewing this to cancel as the paperwork said we could cancel within 60 days without penalty. The individual I spoke to reviewed the terms of their contract, I explained how this wouldn't be a good fit for us due to how much electricity our household consumes and asked her how to cancel. She told me she could cancel it so that's what I requested. The following month, there was Just Energy on my bill- which had doubled, obviously. I called again, and that rep told me he would cancel our account effective that day. I escalated it, as I had wanted it cancelled when I originally called. They submitted an "investigation" and it should be no surprise to you that their investigation concluded in not backdating the cancellation. Here we are the following month, they're still on my electric bill, and its gone up from the previous month. This current bill is LITERALLY 25% lower than my MORTGAGE payment.To add insult to injury, the original rep who signed us up had originally told us we would receive a gift card that day for Sam's Club. At the end of our conversation with them, they said we would send it in the mail in the coming few weeks. It's been almost 5 months, and still no gift card. I was promised another gift card when I spoke to the company about them not cancelling my account. I laughed- I already knew I wouldn't get that one; I still haven't.

Tim Hudson: Warning, this company is a scam. One of their representatives tried to manipulate me into signing in Sams club by misrepresenting himself as DTE supplier. He tried to wrap me into sign up fast and pushed me through the process but something seemed wrong. He even took photo of my bill info. Eventually when he sent me contract, I told him to stop . I read it over and I smelled red flags. I refused to sign and he claimed this is their last day in sams and I will be missing out. I am glad I figured out the scam thanks to reviews here. Please be aware this happens in sams clubs in many states. They are scammers. Pure and simple and shame on SAMs clubs to promote them
Desiree Marshall: 1st of all this company does not even deserve one star they are beyond trash. This company is soliciting honest people by telling them that they will receive a $65 gift card but does not mention that the gift card will come via email. This guy name Saad Khan messed up on my info so he says we would have to redo the info i told him no! That following Monday I received an email about a contract that I assumed did not exist I called to cancel the contract the lady told me that it takes 3 billing cycles before the contract will be voided. I called this morning to make sure that the request to cancel my contract was put in the lady said yes I also asked about the gift card this lady told me 90 days after the account is in effect so because I canceled I would never receive a gift card. This company needs to be reported to the BBB they are seriously taking advantage of people who knows what they are doing with your info.

They say will be lower and actually they will not give you the rate promised and I canceled, mines was at 1.21 and dte was .34, SO RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! Please save your hard earned money. Just scammers and I so sorry I fell for this and didnt keep a eye on my bill, as in budget. JUST know they will rip you off and take all your hard earned money!!!
Lenna Ireson: Well, they got me. I could repeat word for word what everyone else said in their review. Only wish I would’ve read the reviews beforehand. Cornered in Sams, promised over and over that there would be absolutely NO change in my bill with the switch, thought I’d be doing the world a favor by using cleaner energy AND get a gift card?!! Haha! No! Got my first bill with the change and it’s DOUBLE my previous energy cost.
Robin Peace: This company is a scam and I think we should report to our local news consumer reports to warn the public, as I plan to do. Also, there needs to be a class action lawsuit and report them to Better Business Bureau. Sam's Club should be mentioned as agreeing to this collaboration.
shelby: As many have said, absolute scam. Was cornered at Sam's Club with the promise of free gift cards. The woman stated she "works for Consumer's Energy" and just wanted to reward me for choosing clean energy. As we are going through the spiel and she starts asking me to fill things out, I asked her "I am not signing up for anything correct?" and she told me no, I am just switching where my energy is supplied. When asked if my bill was going to be changed she said no absolutely not and that my bill will still be the same and based off my usage. I admit to being led astray and I should have clued in when she wanted me to docusign but alas.I called the very next day to put a lock on my Consumer's account and called to cancel Just Energy. I was shocked to hear that I had signed up for a contract that raised my bill to a $6 rate and that this should all have been explained to me. I told the worker that the saleswoman never once said any numbers. I informed her of all the shady tactics and she stated she would be reporting the saleswoman to her supervisor (probably a lie). What a headache.UPDATE: after receiving something from Just Energy in the mail, I found that after the first 6 months, my rate would have gone up to over $12 if I didn't cancel. CROOKS!
M J: Just Energy and Sam’s Club I are two companies work together (in concert participation). The giftcards are deceptive to reel you in. My energy billhas skyrocketed since we enrolled with JustEnergy. I will file every consumer complaintavailable to addressed this matter, it’s lawless!

Andrew Jessop: total scam. the salesperson didn't tell me I was signing a contract. When I called within 24 hours of receiving their email, they fought me about cancelling. After 2 hours on the phone I finally got them to cancel and they sent me an email confirmation. 2 months later I get charges on my electric bill for $362.00 which was way high even if I had been using them.Very shady. now I get to fight with my electric company about a $550.00 electric bill.

The rep lied about who they were, their affiliation with DTE, the rate being the same, etc. Their gas rate is more than three times what I pay with DTE. I should not have rushed into this decision for some gift cards without doing research. Big mistake on my part. Just spend an hour on the phone trying to get everything back to normal.

lauren simons: initially asked if we would like a free $45 sams gift card, of course we said yes. my husband already has suspicion something was up. they will get you hooked by offering free gift cards then will make you sign up for services that you have to pay for. it would be less infuriating if they were just straight forward about it and not try to make you feel like you are getting a free gift card just because, so if you are approached be aware that it isn't doing you any favors to sign up for this.

Alison Gillum: I wish I could give this company less than one star. I was cornered in Sam's Club right around Thanksgiving. I tried to walk away, and I should have. They promise gift cards (they make it sound like you'll get it right then, but come to find out you don't get it until you pay your first bill) and don't give a whole lot of information about what switching to their company entails. I learned that is going to cost me more. When I called JustEnergy to cancel my contract, they were relentless about getting me to keep the service. Finally I was able to cancel, but now DTE is still charging me for having Just Energy as my gas provider. This has been a nightmare. It's a giant scam. Stay away!

If you don't want blk service, just post a sign 🙃. I go bk in to speak to manager and show how my chg was thrown at me, he says, he must wasn't looking. I have a blk kid, STOP who U sleep with and who YOUR WORKER DESPISES can be of the same race. Looking at the reviews, its evident there's RACISM being practiced here
Fab Beauties: If you are a black or brown person, don’t go here. In the almost two decades I have lived near this business, out of the less than 5 times I have entered their facility over that time span, each time I have been met with rudeness including one time the clerks kept talking like they didn’t see me or another time one kept tinkering with liquor bottles while I waited. Today I went in to report a problem with their car wash machine malfunctioning (only because the other nearby car wash recently went up on their pricing) after submitting money. I was interrogated by a clerk who had to be half my age and basically treated like I was lying and he was law enforcement. The amount in question was $5 and I am driving a luxury European SUV. His tone was disrespectful and dismissive until I told him that until the problem was resolved no other customers could use the car wash. Then all of a sudden he called someone from back to resolve the issue.
A R: Little punk literally threw my change at me. These guys hate successful black women, don't waste your time. They'll be stuck behind that counter forever. Keep staying afloat by allowing dealers to sell out of your parking lot, losers.
David: Lots of pumps, pumps consistently work, easy entry/exit from 13 Mile and Mound. Adding hand sanitizer by the pumps would be nice.The store is excellent! Good variety of beer, quick and easy checkout.

Mo Z: By far the best out of every gas station I've ever been to in my 41 years of life!! Excellent customer service. Clean and fully stocked of beer, wine, liquor and snacks! The first time I used thier car wash a young gentleman walked over to physically show me how to use it properly. Any time I'm in Warren I will be coming here! Oh and they have fresh and hot snacks too, pizza rolls, breakfast sandwiches etc. Excellent job guys!!
