Amy L: Love me some undercooked hashbrowns, a staple at Theo’s even if you order them well done or extra well done .. I’d say at least the omelette was good but the vegetables were cut so large they were still crunchy and raw… pretty sad that this used to be our go to place and now it’s a place we attempt to “try again” every couple months with the same disappointments.

Wilson Family Won: I usually go to Lape and 7 and Van Dyke, I went to this one and was very disappointed, don't like the rib tips they use, OxTails was Def flavorless and needed to be cooked longer it was tuff, no gravy, and I didn't get to the red beans and rice til the next day, after putting in the fridge I put them in the microwave this morn and it taste very spoiled, I need 7 mile lape back please.

Mr. Stuck Inthebox: This place has amazing soul food and the portions are so big I couldn't even finish my dinner. Was recommended by a friend of my travel partner and we stopped on our way to the airport I'm so sad I had to get rid of the rest of it because of the airport restrictions. Will definitely be visiting this place again next time I am in the area.

Heard they opened this location and it was “delicious” I decided to try it in hopes it would be much better than before. Once again I was disappointed. I got a fried wing dinner with Mac and yams. The yams were okay and the cornbread was ok. I wouldn’t even say good, just okay, not nasty but not anything I would go back for. The chicken was undercooked, pink in the middle, there was no type of seasoning on it at all. Going to a SOUL FOOD restaurant, you would think they season the meat. It actually tasted nasty like the grease was old and they fried it in the same grease they fry fish in. I tasted a hint of fish when I took my second bite then stopped eating it. I am severely allergic to fish. I’m glad I didn’t have a reaction to it. I had a family member try it and they said it tasted like fish also. They didn’t offer me any type of dipping sauces either. The only reason I’m giving one star is because the sides were decent. I will not recommend this place to anybody in the future. Especially this being the second visit I’ve had and been disappointed both times.

Three options for a starter and meal, two options for dessert, and all options sounded fantastic. One option was vegetarian.The meals we ordered were amazing and not rushed (as can sometimes happen when shows are let out and reservations are full.)Madison, our server, was sweet and kind throughout despite obviously having a lot of tables.Highly recommend!

Gerry Fivecoat: We visited Cuisine before our event at the Fisher Theatre. Our show began at 7 and our reservation was for 5:30. We were promptly seated upon our arrival at 5:20. Our server, Corbin, was excellent. He was very attentive without being overly present. He made wonderful recommendations, and refilled our water and drinks with prompt, well timed visits. The seared scallops were divine. The 10oz Waygu was crusted perfectly, while maintaining a med.rare/medium juicy interior. This steak, frankly, was seasoned and prepared to perfection. The lime gimlet was balanced and the citrus flavor paired beautifully with the scallops. The old-fashioned was incredibly smooth and the flavor was a pallette pleasing pairing to the Waygu. Finally, the desert was a scrumptious mix of raspberry sorbet, chocolate mousse, and a large meringue cookie. Corbin made it his priority to ensure that the meal was presented in relaxing pace, whilst still very cognizant of the time line to the start of our show. From the ambiance, to the chef, to the waitstaff, this is a perfect romantic go to in Detroit.

These guys have it going on and know how to help you have a relaxed evening and get to the show in plenty of time.
