Tried all 3 numbers and got voice-mail, that was bad enough but then all 3 numbers voice mail full so can't leave a message. I figured at least 1 number was a cell so I decided to text all three explaining I called all 3 numbers and voice-mail full and needed to know prices on bounce house for few days. I believe a day later I get a text back t hat read 500. Thats it, just a number with no explanation or what $500 would get me, also no mention of the 3 numbets I called or thanking me for letting them know. you would think I would get a call since I was a customer. But no. All I get was 500. No call no nothing. So good luck if you decide to use this place. The person who handles company calls sucks big t I me.

Michael Doyle: We hired Great Lakes Tent Co for a “heated” tent connected to our venue for a cocktail hour, during a January winter wedding. It was an absolute disappointment to see all our guests in winter jackets during the cocktail hour, in an non-enclosed and non-heated tent. Additionally, this tented patio space was supposed to be connected to the venue for constant guest flow back and forth during the entirety of the reception, but our venue had to keep the garage door closed throughout the evening to keep guests warm. This also discouraged guests from using the additional trailer bathrooms outside since it involved opening a garage door. We further learned this posed significant issues for our caterer with the logistics of keeping their prepared food warm for the guests. This company was a complete letdown to us and absolutely did NOT deliver the service that was expected or contracted for. Their response to the issue was that we could have called an emergency hotline and someone would have been there to fix the issue, which was not known by us, the venue or our day of coordinator. Their refund was minuscule compared to the cost of the tent, which served no purpose whatsoever and was a complete waste of money. To contrast, if any one would hire a tent company during the summer and expect it to keep their guests dry or out of the sun, you would expect that as a basic function of the tent. I would highly discourage anyone from using Great Lakes Tent Co and they should be removed from any preferred vendor list in the Metro Detroit area.

Ryan Doyle: We utilized Great Lakes Tent Co. to provide a heated tented area for our cocktail hour ahead of our wedding reception in late January in Detroit. Unfortunately, the tent that was provided was mistakenly not fully enclosed, and as such, our guests were cold and had to wear winter coats during the cocktail hour. After spending the amount we did on the tent service, we were quite disappointed that we did not receive what we had paid for. We informed Great Lakes Tent Co. of the mistake/error and they were gracious to offer us a small partial refund due to the mistake, however the refund was miniscule in comparison to the amount we spent on our event when considering the significant mistake that was made.

I missed his call but called him back shortly after. We had a bunch of people there at that time. I am sure he could have found someone to get one of us.

He showed up on time and set up the bounce house quickly and efficiently, very fair price compared to competition. We had so much fun together as a family and got a great work out. Was originally told a Wednesday for delivery, then once confirmed all when got closer to wedding day I was told Thursday between 4-5PM for delivery. 7PM comes rolling around, still no delivery. I’ve called the office 3 times, no reply. I text Dave, and he response that he will not be making it but will be there Friday AFTER 6PM. Mind you, my dinner rehearsal is Friday at 630. My fiancé calls to ask what’s going on, and Dave is EXTREMELY rude and yelling at him, refusing to let him talk and talking over him. Never once apologizes for any miscommunication then himself and Danielle (office) both lie to him and myself saying that they never told us Wednesday or Thursday and this is just a “side gig” so they really don’t care about when they deliver. I immediately found a different company on short notice, as I do not ever want to pay a company who speaks to their customers this way. Dave and Danielle are both extremely extremely rude. If you want to make sure your event isn’t treated just as a “side gig” I would go through a different company 110%.

They have full service rentals for all party needs; tents, chairs, bounce slides, snow cone machine, etc. The guys came out and set up the day beforeI REALLY APPRECIATE YOU ALL. I only have 1 graduate but we'll find a reason for a celebration and definitely call again!! 😀

It was the perfect location for a short trip to pick-up/drop of chair rentals for a small bridal shower in the area. When I called for a quote, they were scattered; didn’t really ask the typical questions. “Uh, how many chairs? Yeah those are $XX.” Okay, do you want my date so you can tell me if they’re available? Can I have a real quote sent to me? I was told to call back in an hour so they could verify inventory; no answer all that day. I called 2 days later, they said the guy w/ inventory updates had a doctors appointment, took my number and told me they’d call me with an update between 10-11am. NO CALL. Unprofessional at best.

I called them 2 weeks ago about getting an ice sculpture for my daughter's wedding. I was told it wouldn't be a problem. Email pictures of what I want and they will send me a quote. I sent the email within a few minutes. Waited several days and never heard back, so I followed up with another email. Waited 4 more days with no reply, so I called again on Friday. She apologized, saying the person who does ice sculptures was on vacation, but they would get back to me on Monday. It's now 2 days before her wedding and I'm still waiting...

Tonya: The owner is very rude and disrespectful. I was told it was my fault that they rented me a poor quality product. I called requested can light I was told no problem. However when I set them up at my event they were all different colors and some of the geols were completely burn through. I was told that it was my fault do to me ordering them last minute. I would have rather been told they couldn't accommodate me. My event was in Ohio I call the office to leave a message on Saturday to inform them of the issue. The owner was rude and spoke to me very disrespectfully. I may not be your million dollars customer. However I am a customer just the same. I have used Hotz in the past. Im sure I won't return.

Kim Stricker: Terrible! I ordered all of the linens, tables, glasses, flatware and chafing dishes through Hotz. They showed up to the reception an hour late with many of the items missing. I called the event coordinator to find out why and was greeted with an unprofessional, condescending attitude. I've coordinated many events and never ran into this type of customer disrespect. Being late and showing up with many missing items is UNACCEPTABLE!Apparently this isn't their first offense. Other cater friends warned me of their professionalism as well. There are many options to choose from when planning a wedding or event...... this should be one to steer clear of!Happy Planning!

Amy Constant: We chose HOTZ for our Wedding Ceremony because of their location and price.Due to lack of space and time (and my mental sanity) - I will just list what they did and did not do:-showed up 1 hour late-did not bring a dolly or chair cart to haul chairs-only brought a crew of 2 men instead of the contract-agreed-upon 4.-refused to carry the chairs "that far" even though they had been paid an extra $150 to do so-their 2 men carried ONE chair at a time!!!! while my MOTHER, MOTHER IN LAW, Aunts, and Uncles carried 4 at a time and set up ALL the chairs in their wedding clothes in order to get them up just 15 minutes before wedding.
