Amy Weatherell: I Have had my dogs here quite a few times. The staff amazed me though this time because of all the places I’ve taken my Husky for grooming, she has been a typical husky with a somewhat dramatic attitude with nail trimming. The fact they could do it no qualms simply means they have what it takes to get the job done! They did an amazing job with my girl as well as my mother’s cat. They have an app that makes it easy to make boarding reservations ,upload vaccine records edit contact information for just in case you need to swap out a person for pick up etc. They posted pictures on their Facebook page of my fur baby and if I had any questions, they were incredibly prompt at answering back. Although the pictures are wonderful and I know they’re in good hands, I still wish they had cameras so we can check in on our babies. That’s the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars.
Anjani Hundich: Leaving this review a bit prematurely since my dog has not actually stayed overnight yet...but we had our meet and greet today and I couldn't believe how smooth it went and how kind and loving the staff are.I have a very nervous senior dog, who is not new to boarding. But as she's gotten older, we've been feeling like her previous kennel was not a good fit anymore. I had heard great things about Pawz Inn and we decided to give it a try for an upcoming trip. The staff was so attentive to my dog just in the 10 minutes we were there. I had informed them over the phone about her anxiety and nervousness and they did everything they could to make sure she thrived in that short amount of time. My dog came out of the facility happy and tail wagging. At our previous facility, she would come running out like she couldn't wait to get out of there.I will update my review after our stay, but so far I am very impressed with the staff and this facility! And I hardly ever leave reviews!

Jason crute: I was super nervous sending a 4 month pup to some strangers for a day but it was worth the risk avoiding a crate for 7 hours.Holy cow... the puppy didn't even react when I picked her up, like she didn't even care that I was there or had left at allMy energetic boxer puppy slept in the car for the first time, was calm all night.... fantastic!!!!

Jessica Keoshian: AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! Our dog stayed 9 nights when we went out of town. The staff knew us by name when we walked in the door even as first time customers. They were very easy to get ahold of and are great communicators. He was so well cared for and it was well worth it! I would absolutely bring him back over and over again!
Brenna Stanecki: I COULD NOT RECOMMEND PAWZ ENOUGH! We recently adopted a very anxious pup and dropping her at a boarding facility was so difficult for the first time. The pawz staff were so friendly and reassuring and I love that they post photos of the dogs playing regularly. They treat all the dogs like their own and are very communicative; the app they use for booking is so easy to use as well! Thanks for taking care of our Butter :)
Cheyne Jarnol: We've been taking our pup for day care once a week for a few months now and absolutely love it. When we took him to another place he was constantly getting humped because he's a submissive male, that's not been the case here. They do an evaluation on your dog for the first visit, which I really appreciate. We've also used the washing service with the day care a couple times and he's so soft and clean when we pick him up!!

She had never been to a place like this and had yet to be away from my side. They were all spectacular - Whenever i may need a place for her to stay this is where she will be going - My girl. 6 days in a world she didn't get. Now comfortably in a world she does. -

Teresa Deagle: I brought my Chihuahua there to play a couple days a week and on the 2nd visit she came home with Kennel Cough and has been very sick. I don't want to blame just Pawz Inn but the people there should Not bring in a Highly Contagious.and/or Sick Dog bc All of US Owners and the Pets Suffer horribly. Nor did I have the Thousan Dollars it Cost to treat her not to mention having to stay home 24/7 bc she can't be left alone. The sleepless nights and stressful days don't help either. She's going on 5 days now and has barely.prpgressed and she's only 4 yrs old. Watch out for the Pups & the Elders. This Disease is Much more Serious than Google states. Especially if they have a fever (which.mine did). Ty for reading. P.S. it would've been nice for.Pawz to have checked on her seeing as I Notified them Immediately.
N S: Very nice place to board your dog. The best part is it’s kennel free. The staff is very friendly and updates you daily via fb with your pets photos.
Cassandra Mulcahy: Pawz Inn is a great place to board your dogs! They are friendly and you can tell they genuinely care about the animals. I trust them with my pup Logan. Every time he comes home from boarding he is so happy but exhausted from all of the fun. We moved farther away and still make the drive to board our dog there.

Heather Cruz: They treat my dog like family. We have tried day camp at other facilities, but no other place seems to tire my dog out as much as they do. Their staff is very interactive and engaging.

Chris M: Love this place! Animal House Pet Services is a 2nd home for Lily while we are on our trips. She's been going there for 3 years and it's always been a positive experience. The staff is friendly and amazing with her. I esp love the pics they post of her on their media page on the days she's there. I can be assured Lily is taken good care of when we can't take her with us.
Carolina DePaula: They were very unprofessional. I planned everything well in advance. Came in first to do all the paperwork and scheduled a trial daycare day to make sure my dog would do well there. I was told she did but you’re not allowed to see the area where the dogs stay. I was told both times I was there by each of the owners that a reservation was not needed and I could just drop in. When the day finally came that I needed to drop my dog off before work, I got there and was told they were sold out! I was left completely helpless. I was on my way to work and my day was completely derailed. The owner just said she didn’t have the kennels and moved in to the next customer, never apologized, never explained why I was given the wrong information. Had I known, I would’ve simply made an appointment since I did everything well in advance preparing for that day. I also emailed them and never heard back from them at all. I had purchased a 5-day package and of course I can’t get a refund even though I never used any of the days. The front of the business is also dirty and falling apart. I recommend All American Pet Resorts Lakeshore instead, it’s also nearby, they are clean, professional and treat not just the dogs but also their owners with respect. UPDATE: I left the same review on their Facebook page and got blocked from their page so I’m not sure if my review even shows up on there anymore. I would beware of this business. If this is how they treat their people, I don’t trust them with my dog.
Lori Melvin: I can't say enough good things about Animal House. Getting a puppy during a pandemic was tough and we struggled to get him socialized. Everyone at Animal House was so helpful and patient with us and once we put Parker in training, he came out a totally different dog. The staff is so kind to us and our furbabies.

DAAN PAARKER: Very disappointed in treatment of our Pet and Manner towards Myself and Daughter by Owner. Un Professional. Owner/Trainer very aggressive in approach and was unable to stay calm and be patient upon first meeting of our dog. We were treated very rudely and dismissed in the parking lot as Animal House did not listen to our instructions on first introduction and created a Stressful situation for our pet and ourselves. They claim to be Trainers, but by the actions displayed on our visit I would not agree or advise taking your Pet to Animal House Pet services.

We are very happy to have boarded our Buddy and Roxy here. We were concerned since this is the first time they have been away from home but our concerns have been relieved watching our pets every day on their Facebook page. Attached a pic of the Thanksgiving dinners they prepared for all the pets boarded there over the holiday (owner's option). You guys rock!

Tony Vienneau: I saw another person mention they took their dog from Camp Bowwow and put them in Pet Suite Retreat, I had an almost identical experience. Camp bowwow would cram every size dog in one room and walk away. Watching the cameras while my dog was there, I realized my dog was in danger from all the fights I saw happening and found Pet Suite Retreat that same day.From day 1, I could tell Molly loved the staff and the staff loved her. She was not afraid to go to daycare and she was always happy when I came to pick her up. I love the amount of space the dogs can play in as well, nobody else has quite as much outdoor space to let the dogs run.Awesome staff, awesome prices, big and clean facility that allows the dogs to live their best lives. I am glad I found this place!
Anna Baird: My dog Coco has boarded here twice. Each time, it seems like she has done great and been very well taken care of. This time when she came home she was slightly dirty in spots and that made me happy because it meant she had plenty of opportunity to be outside and play! The staff were extremely caring and friendly when we dropped her off and picked her up. They seem to truly know each dog personally and put lots of effort into making every dogs stay a success. Coco will definitely be back! (I would give six stars) 😁

Brian Alibashi: This place is incredible. I left my two cats here for 1 week and when they started out, they hated it. Now I was nervous because they were placed in the socializing room with other cats and my cats aren't the social type, especially Milo (One of my cats)who cant stand even new people being around him. But once I left and came back, I was surprised because.... They loved it there. They were around all the other cats they were originally afraid of, they were kind to the little kittens in there, and they were jumping all over the place. Before we had to pull them out the cage, Today we had to push them in to bring them home. 100% recommend this place

Brandon K: Pet Suite Retreat is awesome! Been taking my dog there for years and he loves it. When we first got him, we took him to Camp Bow Wow and they pack the dogs in like sardines. We found out quickly that our dog is not as compatible with some other dogs and they said they'd kick him out if he didn't change. Pet Suite Retreat had absolutely no problem with our dog in the 5 years we've been taking him. They treat the dogs on an individualized level, making sure dogs are compatible when setting them in the play area. 10x better than Camp Bow Wow for sure.The staff is very accommodating. They knew his name very quickly and recognize myself or my wife when we come to pick him up. Before the pandemic, we took our dog there 3 to 4 times per week to get out all that energy. Since the pandemic and working from home, we try to bring him at least once a week. This place is a life saver and deserves to stay in business.We bring our dog in for boarding and often without scheduling ahead of time. Again, very accommodating. Holidays are usually busy for boarding though, so we tend to plan ahead by letting them know.Oh and not sure they do this for everyone, but to show their appreciation for us bringing our dog in all year, they gave us a nice Christmas gift calendar of all the fun our dog had over the past year. I don't think we got one for this year, but at least 3 years prior we did. But so awesome none the less!
Spencer Kovar: My wife and I went on vacation and while we were away our dogs got in a fight. Our dogs are both rescues and we realize that the change in the environment was a lot of stress on them. Everyone at Troy Pet Suite Retreat were amazing! They kept us up to date how our dogs were doing and made sure none of the abrasions got infected. Couldn't ask for better care. Really appreciate you guys!

Ana Victoria Foley: When I boarded my beagle, I dropped her off with her bed and toys to keep her comfortable. My beagle is 9 and has never peed or pooped inside the house, much less her own bed. She is potty trained and will go every time she is let out. When I picked her up from her boarding her poor bed was soaked in pee, I had to throw it out and instantly buy her a new one there was no way I was going to be able to wash it and make it decent. This just tells me how poorly they took care of her. I will never be letting her stay in this place again. Terrible service, I'd give 0 stars if I could

Heather Thuss: Staff is very friendly and care for the dogs so much. I am so glad u started taking my 1 year of husker here. Not only us he worn out by the time I pick him out he has a great time. Love that it is open and the dogs can go outdoors to play. Love that I can see my dog throughout the day to see how he is doing.

John Boyle: What a great place! We've been taking our dog there for several months, and he is always excited to go. When we say "Happy Dog" to him, he heads to the door and is ready to go. They love him and he loves them. Every day we see him on camera playing with his buddies, and every night he comes home exhausted. He was a COVID pup, so he wasn't great around other dogs at first - but being there has really helped him. Jim and his staff know the dogs, and love them.

Brittany Hepner: I can’t say enough good things about Happy Dog, and would give them 10 stars if that was an option. My neighbor wasn’t able to watch our dogs like usual when we went on vacation, and I had never boarded them before. The owner, Jim, made sure that my girls would fit in with their daycare pups a couple times before we boarded them. I was so nervous to leave them with a someone I didn’t know, but Jim put me at ease. He sent me videos and updates while we were gone. My 8 year old pup was able to get away from the other dogs and nap on her bed behind the front desk during the day. They even have cameras on during the day so you can watch them all play. You can tell Jim and his staff love the dogs because I would always see them petting and playing with them on the webcam. Our flight home came in at 12:30am. Jim knew we missed the dogs and that they were ready to go home too. He met my neighbor at my house to drop the dogs off for us so they would be there when we got home. He even called me the next day to check up on them and make sure they were doing ok. I can’t recommend them enough. Happy Dog will be our go-to for boarding in the future, and my pups will be happy to go back to play on some daycare days too.
Sean Williams: I spoke with the owner, he walked me through the process, and answered my questions as well as gave advice and suggestions. We took our dog there, it was a great experience for our dog. I really love the fact that they have cameras to see what's going on, and that the dogs have acess to OUTSIDE FRESH AIR, as well as inside. I also like that, the dogs don't go in kennels. Because of the stimulation, the outside air and socialization, our dog was exhausted and rested well. There hours of operation is great! I really appreciate the service they extend to the customers.
Rob Reid: Not long ago I had an emergency where my wife had to go into surgery. I needed someone to board our wire fox terrier and on very short/ no notice. Having done business with other dog daycares I knew this would be asking for a very big favor and during a super busy time for boarding (spring break). Jim and his team were wonderful and very understanding. They took our dog in immediately. This allowed me to watch over my wife at the hospital without any additional concerns. While we were there, his team would also send video and updates on her to let us know she was doing well. And by the way, she had an amazing time and can’t wait to go back. We will always be grateful for Happy Dog Daycare, and how they took great care of us during such a stressful moment.

Celia Jackson: Can’t say enough good stuff about Happy Dog. Our two dogs have been going there for boarding since the fall of 2020. We travel a LOT and probably board them twice a month on average. It’s a no frills place but it's perfect for our no frills dogs. They absolutely love the Happy Dog staff and hanging out with all the other dogs, and we love watching them on the live cams during the week! The live cams were the reason we first tried them out, and the friendly, family vibes keep us there. They especially do a great job screening the dogs and making sure everyone gets along. Highly recommended!
B. D4-A: This was our first time leaving our English Pointer mix, Forrest, @ Happy Dog. I had toured the facility beforehand & was very impressed with the wide-open spaces, the accessibility of the indoor/outdoor areas for the dogs, the cleanliness & organization, & of course, with the attentive caregivers. Forrest is a very active, high energy, sometimes high anxiety dog & I love their approach to boarding/daycare- minimal time in the kennels! Ultimately, we decided to board him @ Happy Dog & moved him from previously staying at a different boarding place. During Forrest’s stay, I communicated with the owner several times- he responded quickly & with great care. After 6 days @ Happy Dog, Forrest came home very happy & very tired, which says a lot for him! We will be bringing him back to Happy Dog in the future! :) Thank You!

As longtime members of the HD family we are familiar with great service and attention by the wonderful staff, but we recently got to experience Above and Beyond service. As a first time (and failed) Foster family of a lovely Female Great Pyrenees from CA. Luna came to us after 6 wks in a shelter and a grueling 20+ hour transpo from Texas to MI. To help smooth the transition to a new environment Jim kept the doors open and a groomer onsite well into the night to do a full exam, flea bath and trim her nails and knots from her fur. This allowed Luna (and us) to acclimate to what would become her new home without the additional trauma of another trip to the groomer within days of her arrival - Well Done Team - eternally grateful.

laura wunderlich: We are life time dog owners. Until recently we always had family available to watch our pets. When it became necessary to seek outside help we went to best friends pet hotel. My brother referred me there. After a 2 1/2 week stay we couldn’t be more pleased. The manager and the help we met were genuinely animal lovers. We were able to call several times during their stay and ask how they were doing. The phone was always answered and our questions answered. Best of all twice a day we were able to watch them playing with the other dogs there. I recommend this place for anyone who finds themselves in need. We are going to take our pets there occasionally for the day camp so they can socialize and play with other dogs under the watchful eye of the employees at best friends!!

Manager walked into reception area never look at me or my dog never said hello got behind the desk and situated before acknowledging me. The place is FILTY dirty. After standing the looking around I knew the managers attitude didn’t matter cause there was no way I was leaving my pet there for anything. Not sure fluff of fur flying around I get that but this was disgusting dirty.
Tim: We've been going to best friends for a couple years and they take very good care of our pups. They're really good about feeding requests like extra treats we bring in and stuff like that, which is nice. You can't bring blankets or pillows from home but I can understand that so no big deal. They do offer to let our two dogs bunk together if we ask, so if you have a couple of best buddies to board that makes it easier to leave them behind.Melissa and the staff are all really great and our dogs are comfortable and safe there, plus we can log on to the website and check in on them during the day.They also do a fantastic job with baths and nails!
Ashley DeVlaminck: I was so nervous to leave my dog for an extended period of time bc it was the first time I had. The people working there were so warm and welcoming. The process was very easy and the first night was free!! When I came back my dog was excited to see me but also tugging to go back, which right then and there I knew this was a good place. She’s very much my shadow and to see her so excited and happy made me feel good to see. Our vet clinic recommended this place and I am so glad they did. They make it so easy between booking reservations online or calling. You can tell how much they care when you meet the people working there. I have been telling everyone I know who says they are needing to board their pups to check this place out. I am going to be booking with them again and even have decided to take my pup there a couple times a month to do the doggy day camp so she can play. I can’t say enough good things about this place ! They even do individual stay and play if your animal doesn’t do well with others. They accept cats too! If the people who work there ever see this review.. keep being awesome. I know that I deeply appreciate it!
MaKaya Gardner: The staff are amazing! My dog, Rizzo, loves going to get his hair cut and to spend the day at camp. He has so much fun, his haircuts always are exactly what I ask for, and he gets so excited to go. We pull up and he jumps out of the car and runs inside to see everyone. Keara K: One of my best friends boarded her 2 healthy, young cats here when we went on a family vacation last week. She called me this morning extremely heartbroken. Yesterday she picked them up only to have her healthy, 2 year old cat extremely sick and lethargic. They took him to the emergency vet this morning, only to have him collapse and die in their arms, due to severe dehydration and low temperature.Why were their cats not being checked on or monitored regularly for water consumption/litter box output while in the care of Best Friends last week? This is shameful, and I'm heartbroken for my friends and their sweet kitty. I will make sure my friends and family never use your pet boarding services!

Stacy Soley: This was the worst boarding experience I have ever had. I picked my French Bulldog up with a bloody and infected tail, his legs have abrasions, he lost weight and is dehydrated. In the past, we have always had a great experience at Best Friends. My dog has not visited for about a year and there was all new staff so I felt uncomfortable and called to check on him--I was never told his tail was injured. I would caution anyone considering this business to care for your pet.

Furious Styles: Still one of the cleanest and most organized pet boarding places in the state. I'm able to see my pup on CCTV during the day. The staff are very friendly and communicate well with both their clients and one another. Definitely more expensive than places like PetSmart and the other. Hains. But you get what you pay for, and the added services are worth it.

The facility is clean and their indoor / outdoor (inclosed within the facility) is a cool added feature. He absolutely loves going here. They really go the extra mile.The owner is a wonderful lady. Once while out of town they let my dog stay in the apartment / condo they have attached in their building. He got to play with her daughter’s dog (also a pomsky) and spent the whole day with her. They even sent pictures to me throughout the day of their adventures. ❤️

Lucy Melchi: We took our puppy here for a meet and greet / evaluation. The staff were very attentive to our puppies' behaviors. Because we gave a large breed puppy she was too large to play in the puppy group that day but too small for the large dog group so they made a play group specifically for her size and play level. The facility is beautiful and kept very clean and the daycare pricing is very reasonable for the area. We look forward to taking our puppy there for daycare and boarding.

Stephanie Harding: K9 Club has been a heaven sent. Moose, a 6 month old Vizsla, gets just as excited to go to daycare as he does to go to the park. We love all the trainers and this facility exceeds our expectations daily. Moose is always well cared for and if I have questions about his behavior, it doesn't matter who I ask, they know EXACTLY how the day went. If anyone here is trying to figure out the best place to bring their dog based on reviews and see's the couple of bad one's, I will address my own experiences.I brought a "pupcake" in for Moose and his dog friends. I made it from scratch but the trainers took the time to call each dog owner prior to distributing the treat to ensure there were no allergies. It is obvious that the number 1 priority of the staff is the well-being of their four legged guests.There are a ton of different breeds with different personalities that attend daycare here. What I have seen is a trainer using their best judgment if a dog was getting overly excited, to act quickly and CONFIDENTLY to not let the situation escalate as some dogs may not receive an overly excited/anxious dog. You can sit behind your computer all you want and watch the soundless feed of your dogs playing, but unless you're inside that playroom, its hard to pass judgement on how a trainer chose to handle the dog. I'm not saying poor handlers don't exist, but I can say with certainty that K9 Club would not tolerate that from any of their employees.You guys are amazing. Thank you for easing my anxiety and for loving Moose the way you do!

My only purpose was to talk and relate messages from my friend to the owner whom she has a long history with. I know nothing of the operation of this facility other than the rude woman (Lisa) at the reception desk. Met the owner briefly last week ,and came back today with another message from my friend in hopes of communication. Lisa is a crass person or she was certainly with me today , She was loud yelled at me , made me stop in my tracks 5 steps in . Would not let me get message out of my mouth , she yelled same thing twice, I tried to talk and was abruptly told in no uncertain terms that Owner was not interested in what I had to say . The owner was not there at the time but none the less , the way i was treated leaves little to be desired. Well The thrill I once had of meeting with Wendy and talking about how My own dog is descendant from her dog pictured on bldg. that has faded now . From what I have heard this place is suppose to be real nice, I've no clue , and I really do not think I will ever find out after being bum rushed from the front door. reading a few reviews I see Lisa has a questionable attitude with some .

Nicole: I’m sad to leave a negative review for DITW. However, I had a terrible experience. Allow me to preface it by saying that my dogs had a great time and I think it’s great for dogs. It’s very well run. However, onto the negative. We scheduled and took our puppies for their evaluations the first week in December. It took about an hour for the whole process. I scheduled it months before. I chose DITW because of hearing about good experiences coupled with their competitive rates. After my boys “passed”, I quickly reserved (right after their evaluations) dates for boarding (during spring break). The person I spoke with said they were good to go, just needed to come one more time for puppy daycare to make sure they were comfortable. I brought them back a few weeks later for the daycare ($48 for the day). After that (they enjoyed a ton), I got a call letting me know we would have to put half down for their boarding over spring break. I said sure. Then I was told it would be $780. This was a lot more than I had planned on. This (I found out) was due to a new price increase of $10/day. I explained that I had made my reservations back when it was $68/day, so I should get that price, right? Nope. I also explained that I was upset and would the owner reconsider this time as I had taken a lot of time and money to get to this point. I was told nope. Sorry. So…if you’re ok with the price, you should go there. It’s very well organized and happy dogs. But, I was so upset about how they handed the situation, I’ve found a different spot for boarding.
Dana Tautfest: My appreciation has escalated since moving out of state, and no longer able to bring our dog here. Doggie In The Window is an amazing resource for your family pet. They treat your dog like family and all their customers with respect, warmth and kindness. Their facility is amazing. This is the best care available. I took my dog there for nine years on a regular basis.

Taylor Adams: I had booked an evaluation for my dog in the beginning for July as I needed somewhere to board my dog over Labor Day weekend. The appointment had to be rescheduled to nearly the end of August (8/20) per the owner. Two days before I called to find out how long the evaluation would take and was informed by staff that evaluations for that day were canceled. I never received a phone call, voicemail, or text regarding this. I didn’t get to speak with the owner until Monday 8/22 at which point she wasn’t apologetic or sympathetic towards my frustrating experience considering that now Labor Day is 2 weeks away.I would not recommend taking your dog here with the lack of communication and the difficulties getting your dog in for evaluation.

Luke Peterson: I don’t know where to begin. I would stay away from this place. Very understaffed. The workers there do not have any experience with handling dogs. I was told multiple times one of my dogs was aggressive but he really is a sweet dog. Myself and my dog trainer could not replicate any scenario that would trigger my dog like they told me. And when I would ask multiple times what happened, they would never get into specifics. Truly hard to fix a problem when there is not one. Any dog they deem “challenging” is not a fit for them and they do not want to work with you and your dog. My dogs like to chew on their leashes when excited and you could sense the staffs annoyance. Pretty sure my dogs were crated more then actually out playing with other dogs. Save your money and time and don’t go here.

This has happened to him almost every time he has been there and we have no clue if it is other dogs getting him sick, or poor hygiene of the daycare itself. Won’t be going here anymore.

When we pull into the parking lot, she gets so excited she can't contain herself :) She bounds to the door and can't even sit still enough long enough to be checked in. The facility with heated sidewalks and kind caring staff are amazing. Dogs are only in their cubicles from 10pm - 7am. They play the rest of the time!!! Other places cage animals wayyyyy too long. Violet comes home so tired from fun and activity - she sleeps for two days! Love DITW!

I understand how a bad connection can be frustrating to a busy business (esp during these times) but never in my life have I not been given the chance to walk across the room to get better reception. We are new Berkley residents who won a stay for our dogs through the school district and we would rather eat the money than do business with someone who can't spare 10 seconds to answer the phone properly. We love this community and do everything we can to support local business but those is silly. Do better! You've lost what could have been a loyal customer.
