Joshua Lopez: I don't know if the people who are leaving "good" reviews are, maybe, actually employees of this place, or somehow associated professionally with the Behavioral Center? What I DO know is: this place is a joke. Absolute joke. Ever single interaction has been difficult, unfruitful, and mostly a waste of everyone's time. Calling in to get any information has been is impossible (yes, they are authorized to speak with me about my loved one being held in there). Still no visiting due to Corona. Seriously? State Prisons now allow visiting, yet this place doesn't? I dropped off some personal items (all were allowable) yet my loved didn't receive ANY of it, even though I wrote her name on the bag and books, she still never received any of it. To top it off, the woman who stated she would ensure my loved one received the items, identified herself as a "Supervisor", white coat, and all. (Broken leg, rolling around the place on her little wheeled cart that supported her leg, short blonde hair, white, with blue eyes).

Kaitlyn Reichard: Wish I could give zero starts. I'm five months pregnant, my husband was transferred there, and the contact I've had with the staff is awful. From the social worker Leon, to the doctors and nurses, I have never been more stressed in my life and you can be sure that if I have complications during birth, it is 100% their fault.

Kristina Delgado: I was a voluntary admission from the crisis center so my experience maybe is a little different. I didn't have a choice in which hospital I was sent to but I'm glad it was this one. I arrived at 4 in the morning and was greeted by the nicest technician and most of the staff was very kind. The doctor was friendly but very rushed. He over-medicated me at first to the point where I was almost falling over from dizziness, but when I brought it up he actually listened to me and decreased my dose. The 2nd floor has not been remodeled so it is pretty dated. I would have liked to be able to go outside and get some fresh air. The food was decent. They respected my religious beliefs (I am a practicing Muslim) and they let me keep my prayer rug and wear my hijab. They helped save my life in a time of crisis. Thank you!

love kings 680: I went here years ago. I had just come off of two antidepressants that I had been on for about 10 years about a month prior (not by my own doing.) I told the doctor I was not sure if I was clinically depressed and needed medication because anyone would be feeling depressed with the situations I was going through at that time and said I had been on the medications for so long that I wasn't sure if they were still working or if I even needed them for as long as I had. the psychiatrist literally just looked at me and said "so why are you here if you don't want medication??" I was like "uhh I said I wasn't sure and figured that you being a doctor and a professional could help me figure that out. " we talked for about three more minutes and he just started writing me scripts

Bree Davy: This place is actually amazing. Do not let the reviews scare you. All the staff were absolutely wonderful, the place is clean & they treat all patients well. Only thing that could use an upgrade is the food. 10/10 recommend 💕

M# B#: Would give no star rating, but you can't post without at least one. The one star is dedicated to the facility. The only 3 helpful and pleasant people were the receptionist, nurse Vinita, and nurse Gary(5 stars for them ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) on the 2nd floor. The social worker Nicole spoke with me once and never followed up again. I had to physically come up to the facility and speak with her over the phone, because a nurse stated my loved one would we dc'd on Monday and it was a Friday afternoon. Not one person from the facility called to discuss the dc plan. They scheduled bogus appointments in the dc plan, stating that a follow up with his treatment center was scheduled for the following Monday at 9 a.m. I later found out that no such appointments had been made. There was one Asian and one African nurse(this how my loved one described them to me) on day shift that were very rude, short, and quiet frankly lazy. When you asked for info it was "I don't know". Never let me find out or check for you. The follow through and team approach is scattered and unprofessional. There is very little transparency, and you would think it would be more, considering they will not let you visit your loved ones. My loved one did not slip through the cracks like so many vulnerable people do. They have family who are very concerned about their wellbeing and treatment when in a facility. I know most places aren't the best and its a shame, because people are supposed to be there to help. Needless to say I would not recommend this facility. They will stress you out more, with their inadequacy , on top of your loved one needing treatment.

Pastor D Weems: My daughter has been in that place for three days and I have not been able to speak with any person since she arrived . I get the operator and the call ends every time I call. I spoke to o my daughter I had her ask the nurse to take my call or call me. Her response was tell her to call the main number and be transferred. Had explain that’s what I had been doing and she kept repeatedly saying tell her to call the main number and be transferred. What is wrong with that place⁉️ Families need information about their loved ones. It is grievous enough with them being there and you can’t see them but not to be able to get information. That is unacceptable.or speak to anyone except the operator. I tried each department I left a message with social work but I don’t expect to get a call from them either‼️Anyone know how to connect with a person there⁉️

Ricardo Paredes Cañedo: They overdosed me here. I was given three shots of Aristada and they falsified documentation and said they gave me Abilify tablets. If you care about your loved ones I would recommend taking them out of this place.

Karter Graczyk: I was brought to this location against my own free will. If you genuinely care about someone and wish for their mental health to get better, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE. The vast majority of employees in this facility are unprofessional and careless. When I was staying there, papers with everyone’s information were left around allowing anyone to invade other patients privacy, a fight broke out and was not handled well at all, social workers were also making remarks about the patients that were very inappropriate and unprofessional. The psychiatrist, Dr. Medina is the WORST woman I have ever spoken to. She will lie about your behavior and manipulate you into staying against your will. She tried to put me on HIGH doses of medication that are literally dangerous.If you do research, a past patient, Pauline Klug, stayed at this location and DIED of a drug overdose caused by Dr. Medina in 2020. I stayed in 2021 and she is STILL employed here. This facility is the worst place I have ever been to and I do not recommend it to anyone. Bring your loved one to a better facility such as Harbor Oaks Hospital. I had a wonderful experience there.

Alex D'Avanzo: Inexperienced and unprofessional staff. What kind of doctor recommends a long acting injection of a drug for a patient who has taken said drug two days, with no previous medical history of use. Incredibly irresponsible.

Robert K: This was a good place. The staff was very nice to me. The doctors were helpful and tried their best. 3 meals were served a day. I was never hungry. We were allowed to watch TV and read the newspaper . I enjoyed the group therapy sessions. Overall a very positive experience. Thanks for your help!

Janice M.: I'd give 0 stars for this place. They held me there 16 days. I had water restrictions and phone restrictions. This hospital wouldn't give my fiance any information about my stay. That being said the social workers are the worst, including Leon. He's the worst, the other patients there hated him.

Sharon senter: I just spent 13 days here because of Xanax withdrawaland anxiety... and it was the worst 13 days of my life. Most of the staff were kind and helpful...but there were a few that were not. So let me tell you about the psychiatrist - Dr. Medina. You speak to her on Zoom for about 5 minutes. She has never been there in person. And she doesn't know me yet thinks she knows what is best. No one could stand her. I even caught her lying to me to keep me there longer...with a social worker and nurse practitioner as witnesses. She also was trying to wean me off a long-time habit of Xanax within a two-week period. Anyone will tell you that's impossible. Thank God I'm out of there and I can't wait to see my regular doctor.

Bridget Gr: My bf was in there for almost 2 weeks and he seemed worse when he came out....noone talked to me about aftercare or what someone who is living with someone with mental disabilities should do or how to handle certain situations....the only thing my bf got out of it was phone numbers from other patients that are in there or were leaving...it doesnt seem like it was dr and patient sessions it seemed more group sessions. He needed help and now he seems worse so thanks for just shooting him up with medication and sending him on his way...

donna k: They DO NOT I repeat DO NOT give you any updates on your love one that is in there. They are rude and unprofessional. They say I'll have to call you back because we're busy. Guess what no call back ever. The doctor assigned to your love one does NOT even call you back. Thumbs down, to the owner why don't you reply to a negative comment? It would be nice to hear you are concerned and will follow up. If you notice the majority of the comments are negative with 1 star.you get one star because that's the lowest.you shouldn't even get1star

Yet people wonder why the police have to deal with those of us who have mental health issues. Don't waste your time I know I didn't and won't said screw it before I even got started

Angelmika: I went there one time per my doctor suggestion...it did not work out so i never returned. The day I went, I paid a copay fee which was a one time charge. Now I receive an email saying they are going to charge my card for another fee that I am not aware of nor did I give them authorization to keep my card on file. Money grubbing crooks!!!

Stuffies Forever: I was going to here for court ordered therapy. My therapist cancelled my appointment I called multiple times to re-schedule and NEVER received a call back with multiple messages being left. I have proceeded to leave messages for literally weeks. I am now possibly facing JAIL time because of the lack of care this facility has for its patients. Disgusting. Thanks for possibly costing me another 30 days behind bars for not my lack of trying but THEIR lack of attending to their mentally ill patients.

After fighting so hard to get in there and finally having some hope for The First time in a long time, I was kicked out at midnight of my first day based on a lie. The first thing my roommate said when I went in my room was that he didn't want a roommate. 3 hours later I guess he told James, the little prick monitor that I was smoking in the bathroom. That changed into snorting something in the bathroom. I came in wanting to change my life. I truly came for recovery and had no drugs and honestly did not not smoke. What I got was thrown out at midnight by heartless people who wouldn't even talk to me. Horrible horrible place! Ended up at hospital with anxiety attack. Figuring out a better place. Will update soon!

Niki Favors: My mom admitted herself here at Kingswood. She said she loved it, staff was kind and respectful, she said everytime she looked up it was lunch time lol and she was resp for only herself and she really needed that. I'm actually considering admitting myself as I am currently experiencing depression and grief. Thank you Kingswood for your care for my mom🙏

Charday Bonner: Better than the other 3 mental hospitals I stayed at in Michigan. Staff is friendly, show they care about patients, food is good . They make sure you're not bored and you get plenty of groups through the day. Dbt is very helpful and they teach that thoroughly. I was admitted to Kingswood at age 16. Never been in a hospital before. They made me feel safe. Since then I've been back a few times . Never a bad experience.

Danielle Brunson: Yeah, about this particular place I have a good friend currently up there and she has given permission for her social worker and or other staff to speak to me about her care well I left a message for her social worker yesterday at about 9:20 AM and my friend even told her to give me a call here we are 4:12 pm the next day and she hasn't even called me back to address the concerns that I have about what my friend has been being told. Plus and I'm not sureon other MoDs up there but on the one she is on. There is only one phone for patients to use and or their family's to call them on. And according to the staff member I spoke with there is a bunch of parents on that mod yeah so far I wouldn't put my worst enemy in that facility.

Debbie Kopich: My fiancé was petitioned to kingwood and had the worst experience of his life. He was deathly ill for his 10 day stay and received nothing but 4 blood tests and no medicine to help. This same illness put me in the emergency room and on steroids. On top of that, he had a virtual court date that no one allowed him to attend, and in court falsely claimed he elected not to participate. Would never recommend to send your loved ones to this hospital.

We shared similar stories & she understood everything. She told me if I ever needed to come back to do so. All the nurses & social workers was EXCELLENT!

Breyana Morrison: I was sent here when I had just turned the age required to put in with the rest of adolescents. I believe 13-17. I had gone for self harm and suicidal ideation, I was 13 wanting to take my own life, I couldn’t be left alone. I was told I was fine and didn’t need any help. The staff didn’t seem to enjoy being there as well, find a different job if you can’t treat these patients kindly and with respect!

Zoë Harris: Currently on hold because an EXTREMELY rude woman named Sharon who refused to give her last name, badge number or any form of identifier who worked on August 12th around 9:30pm was being so disrespectful to both myself and my mother when I called as a former patient, who was suicidal, needing assistance getting my meds. She was EXTREMELY dismissive, inconsiderate, blunt, and rude for literally no reason. Now God forbid I took my life she would have to live with that. My concerned mother had to join the call to RESPECTFULLY get assistance and Sharon blatantly did not care and made it seem like we were bothering her. I understand that prescriptions are out of her very low level of expertise, but a GOOD WORKER and a concerned employee would at least provide info or point me in the direction of someone who could help. After we informed her that my mother is a health care compliance officer and demanded to speak with someone on a higher level who could be of better assistance, she put us on hold for about 5 minutes then hung up. We called back and she has refused to answer, keeping us on hold for an additional 20 minutes. Half way through the conversation once we became appalled by her poor customer service I began recording this conversation on my phone and would be happy to share it with your management or HR department. As someone who suffers from severe depression and anxiety I am disgusted that you guys would have such an inconsiderate person working in this type of facility.

Penguin Queen: I am a Registered Nurse. About 8 years ago I spent one month working at Kingswood. Mod C. My colleagues enjoyed belittling me. They yelled at the patients. They were so uncaring. It was a horrible experience. I was shocked by their behavior. Hostile. Rude. Warped. One nurse (My "preceptor.") yelled at me in the hallway because I spilled a few drops of water on the floor. She told me to wipe it up. On my hands and knees. As if I was her personal servant. It was one of the most humiliating experiences in my life. I worked in a Medical ICU for most of my career. We were a team. Professional. Caring. I have been an RN since 1988. Never did I experience anything like I did at Kingswood. These Mod C nurses were bizarre. Each one had oddities. How else to put it? Gaslighting. They never helped the patients. That was the worst month of my life. Do not work there. Absolutely do not allow a family member to be admitted to Kingswood. I never would have thought that nurses could behave this way.

Brittanie Miller: Worst experience I’ve ever had. I’m not talking about the situation I’m talking about the experience at this facility. The faculty was horrible very unprofessional and lack of empathy for the patient. The building was run down I had no hot water for 6 days in the middle of winter despite telling the staff. The temperature in the building was so cold I needed 5 blankets on my bed to stay warm. There were toilet paper balls all over the ceiling 56 in my room to be exact! ( I counted) I didn’t get my medication for 48 hours. So I was in withdrawals on top of a mental health crisis. The nurses acted as if the patients were wasting their time, they were very rude and acted annoyed . It felt very unsafe and not therapeutic at all. No counseling, groups consist of coloring books. It felt more like the county jail than a mental health facility. The food was inedible cold, hard, old just awful in every way possible. This place is the very worst ! Stay away from this place.

Nate Braden: I guess this is a weird review I have been to this place when I was a kid in it was okay but I'm trying to figure out well I'm trying to get ahold of my girlfriend who it looks like was put there and her phone was tooken at South Shore Hospital in Trenton so she doesn't have any numbers so I'm trying to figure out what unit is the woman's adult unit so that I can call up there to try to speak to her and get ahold of her because I know she's scared and I know that I need to talk to her

Naz: Thank you for saving my life :) Doctor Husaine(? Cannot spell but he was very tall and from Lebanon. We thought he was scary at first but he’s actually super sweet and he wears those maroon scrubs) was amazing, as well as all of the social workers and therapists there. I met amazing people as well!! I was there a few years ago for treatment for PTSD, and they accommodated me super well. All these negative reviews genuinely upset me after the help I was given. I know no two peoples experience is ever the same, but it’s odd when everyone I know loved Kingswood as well :/

Also if you have things to talk about write them down and he will talk to you. I think he’s a good psychiatrist, and I would recommend this place.

Anonymous: They give you a time for your phone call appt and then you get a call over an hour later. Also, watch what is being charged to your insurance company. Insurance being charged a code for a 20-29 min. “session”, when you’re barely on the phone for 5 mins. Even before covid, sit in the office way past your appt time and still only with the dr. 5-10 mins. If I’m not mistaken, overcharging an insurance company for time not “used”, is like charging them for a separate procedure that is actually already included in the main procedure…it’s fraud.I like the doctor, but these phone games aren’t nice for people with mental issues and the dishonesty in the billing process is alarming.

Kathleen Taylor: Will make you think they care and don’t. I have had severe insomnia my whole life. Used to be on kolonopin. The withdrawals were horrible and decided I wanted to see if a psychiatrist could help with something not addictive. Everything they prescribed made me sick or didn’t work. I said screw it because after a couple months I was fed up. Found a new primary that gave me hope saying it’s not if but when we figure this out. It’s been 2 years and the seroquil dose he prescribed has given me my life back.Do NOT GO! If you have an early morning appointment he doesn’t even show up until 30 minutes after his first appointment time and then there’s a crowded lobby. He rushes you through.If you are unhappy that think you’re a drug seeker. Ridiculous since I came to him to get off benzos

Capn Shan: I was discharged from the “help” of Dr. “Sam” because I expressed that I was unhappy with my treatment after being hung up on by the physician himself! I was also taken off a medication that was helping me a lot, with no explanation. This caused me to go through withdrawals and end up suicidal on multiple occasions. Unless you want to end up sicker than you already are PLEASE STAY AS FAR FROM THIS PLACE AS YOU CAN.

Charles Kotovich: Dr. Sam ,is very busy. I have known him for almost 20 years. He was my dad's psych ,as well. He has gone above and beyond to help me throughout the years. He ,is very fair and regardless of what any of these people say,he is caring. The staff up front has changed. Dr. Sam ,is the best Psych I have ever had.10 months later at worst time he's switched me back on things we have tried 2 or 3 times before that don't work mess with my hearts QT interval etc. He lowers what was keeping me just on this side of the outhouse now im spiraling out of control. I don't know how much more I can take of this, stuff. I lost a cousin to covid my uncle had it 2 times another cousin passed from cancer. My cat seems to be on his wayWay out. I'm cut in half no warning. It was his personal choice I have known him 20 years he was my dad's psych. Doc if, You read these I need help. I can't do this. . I shouldn't have to go out and try to level things out.

standard E: Dr. Sam (Dr. Lingnurkar nick name) and his staff are unprofessional money grabbing jerks! Dr. Sam will schedule you and MANY other people for the exact same time then make you wait for a minimum of 1.5 hrs to be seen. After he actually comes to see you, you may get about 2 or 3 minutes before he walks out of the room even if your still talking to him. He does not have a clue what meds you are taking as he does not review your case and makes not thought out spur of the moments decisions about your care. Then when its time to get a prescription or a doctors note, you just pray that what is given to you is what was actually discussed in the back room. If you disagree with him or the staff they literally yell at you and discuss your personal information at the waiting room window where everyone sitting can easily hear. Now imagine going through all that every two weeks as he insists on bi weekly appointments. The only thing you will look forward to at this office is your first appointment at a different psychiatrist.Update:They forcibly discharged my wife for complaining too much about the meds that never got called into the pharmacy (because Sam kept changing his mind after the apt.). We had to rush and find another doc before her meds ran out so she dident start going through withdrawals (she is on some meds that are dangerous to quit cold turkey).

Christopher Plemmons: Dr Kulis improved my wife’s life in every conceivable way when we were going through an emergency. The thoughtfulness regarding our situation, the confidence in her own knowledge, and the professionalism of her entire office made an unbearable experience much easier. She is one of the best psychiatrists we have seen.

Use my spork: A very concerned and intelligent physician. my life has been changed much for the better, her insight is keen and erudite. I don't know how I got by before Dr Kulis.
