Mike Rundel: Xpert Lawn and Snow is contracted through the City of Berkley to do snow removal for their elderly residents. We had the big snowfall on Saturday and they didnt show up to take care of the snow at my mother in laws house. On Sunday evening they still hadn’t showed so we called them, they said they had two crews in the area and was assured someone would be out. No one showed. On Monday morning we called again and they said someone would be out that afternoon. Again, no one came. We spoke to them again this morning and after being told they were having issues with sub contractors we were told someone would be out, no one showed. Her car is now basically iced in and she has missed her doctors appointments because of it. What were to happen if EMS needed to get to her. I would not recommend using this company.

June Covey: This company is a joke I went with them for snow this year for my company. The first snow fall and they didn't show up till late at night. When they did show up the didn't even spend that much time here. Than we call them next day to see if they're coming back to finish cleaning up and nobody answers the phone been calling all day it's like they had my number blocked or something but when I call from a different number they pick up. They tell me they will be here within hour and still no one is here it's been 3 hours nowAdding to my review it's been 8 hours now looks like someone came and did piss poor job and did t salt

Megan Kosiba: When a coworker was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, my fellow coworkers and I banded together to support them. We had a whole group of us out at their home mid-May to clean up their yard and turn it into an oasis to retreat to during chemotherapy throughout the summer. We planted flowers, mulched, mowed and edged then enjoyed some great food, drinks and conversation! As a whole we also raised enough donations to purchase lawn care maintenance until the end of the season plus a few gift cards to some their favorite places.As I searched for a lawn maintenance company, I knew I would prefer a small company or maybe one trying to start up. Another coworker of mine brought in a flyer, so I called to get an estimate. The price was in the range I was looking for so I decided to go with company A. It really wasnt a company, just a one man operation. From the beginning it was difficult to make sure he was actually mowing on the days he said he would be there. It continued with excuse after excuse. He would miss giant patches on the two occassions he actually showed up. I decided to give it one more shot, prepaid him for two weeks (keep in mind I'm paying for this with donations! He knew the whole story!) and thought everything would work out. It didn't. He was a no call/no show again, but this time he didn't respond to my calls/messages! That was it, time to find another someone else.By this time it was June, and most companies were booked up for the summer. I called First Cut and left a voicemail; almost immediately I received a call back from Joe, the owner. He was able to provide a quote (and, you can tell by this long review, my whole story) which price wise was a little more than the first guy but still extremely reasonable and within my budget. Little did I know how pleasant it would be working with him and his crew. The day Joe said his guys would be there, they were there. I never had any issues with wondering if my coworker was taken care of. We had fantastic service the entire summer. Thank you Joe and crew!!

The last snow we had they never came out once to snowblow or shovel we received a couple of inches, prior to that we received about 9 inches they came out once they didn’t do all of my side walk so I had to shovel also I had two cars in the driveway so they couldn’t do much but the fact that they didn’t knock on the door ask us to move our cars or at the very least finish our “proper amount of sidewalk” would have been nice I’ve left voicemails, emails this is my next resort. Don’t be fooled by this company they do no respond and they do not do good service !

Initial response from First Cut/Kelly was fairly quick, but as service continued to deteriorate & not done within the guidelines they provided in writing, there was no response from First Cut. Then, last 2 cuts were by a contractor that we did not know. Contacted FC again for explanation with no response. 6/16/17 rec'd an invoice from new company - at an increased rate & for service dates when FC was responding about service!Again contacted FC for explanation and again no response. Only reason for 2 rating instead of 1 at this time is because of previous years.

They came 4 days later while I was at work , completely didn't even touch other side of driveway, that is clearly mine because it's directly in front of the fence to backyard.i emailed them, they said they would fix it, 3 days later they still had not returned, then being the following week so I emailed again that they still had not returned and since it's a weekly mow I said that I wasn't paying for a week of mowing because it was incomplete and was told they were not coming back anymore

A couple of weeks later I asked my neighbor who they were and if she liked the service. She highly praised them and I called immediately. I had already gotten 2 other quotes, one high, one low and both without either company rep inspecting my property.
