Champion Martial Arts: what do users think?
Josh Caps: Phenomenal martial arts studio, couldn't recommend a more supportive team
A.J. Petix: Unconventional martial arts but I like it
lee locke: Champion is a great start to a TKD school. Very personable and professional.
kurt marlin: Great place. Really brings the best out of his students.
Mary Goebel: Great local business.Master Ron is a very knowledgeable instructor.
Donte Stafford: My daughter is a 1st Degree Junior Blackbelt and we live it there
Gauri Kadam: I would definitely recommend this place, my son Vivaan was here for almost 2 years. Sr. Master Ron and Sr. Master Galang always makes sure to follow exact techniques. They participate in various tournaments which helps kids to grow to great extent. Thanks to staff in the class to create such a homely environment in the class.
candice stafford: My 8 year old has been training here for 2 yrs. And is now a brown belt . She also goes to tournaments. She love it
laura brennan: Instructor Ron was very disrespectful and inappropriate towards a student in a sparring situation. He could have really hurt this student (A 12 year-old boy) which did result in this student having to be taken to the hospital. Instructor Ron repeatedly kicked this student in the chest to the point he was crying. Many other moms and dads who were present witnessed this happening and were very upset that the instructor took it to that level. If he is going to treat this student this way for accidentally kicking someone in an sparring competition, who is at a higher level, he will treat your child this way. PLEASE think twice before taking your child here, you don't want them being disciplined in such a way this student was for no good reason. He should not be teaching children of any age if this is how he is going to treat them.Google will not let me post this without clicking a star, please be aware that i am giving this place NO STARS because of this incident. They are not a welcoming or friendly place that I would personally take my child back to or recommend to others.Instructor Ron: First off, I was not misinformed of anything that happened that day. You on the other hand are misinforming others. Trying to pretend that you did not hurt a child and stating that you have never hurt a child is a LIE You did HURT a child, a 12 year old boy who had to go to the hospital after you thought it was okay to kick him repeatedly in the chest. What kind of martial arts instructor does that? I have many relatives and friends who have attended different types of martial arts and none of them were ever trained to hurt anyone. They were trained that it is an art and if you have to protect yourself than do so, but then get out of the situation and do not harm anyone. You chose to hurt a child, to teach him what a hard kick felt like in front of many witnesses. Do you think other's didn't see what you did? You cannot try to talk your way out of that, you did what you did and it was disgusting. You are just a bully and the people that you have writing your so called good reviews are just bully's also, because they must think it is okay for a grown man to kick a 12 year old boy when the boy didn't do anything wrong . It is laughable to see those people commend you, because I am sure if the roles were reversed and it was their child that you kicked repeatedly in the chest, they may not be singing your praises. You should be a man and admit what you did and take ownership. That is what a true master would do. I sincerely hope that you don't ever hurt another child and I sincerely hope someone reads my posts and does not come to your studio, because you should not be training kids. You don't even realize what damage you caused, but someday I hope you do!
Katie Tourangau: Ignore the troll "lie Detective Speak", I attended classes with Senior Master Ronald Galang many years ago. Himself, family, and other champion members are extremely helpful, caring, and patient. I would not think twice before recommending or choosing champions for martial arts training. Kudos to a great company and school!
tims truck: When inexperienced people don't come to this school they do not understand how organized the teaching is. I have lived in 6 states and seen martial arts schools around the US and this is the best one yet. Everyone here is like family. I have 3 kids that go here and they love it so much they go everyday. From a man that travels around the US as a job I can a sure you that you will love it here. Champion will welcome you and your family as one of their own. Everyone here are not only friends but family as well.Disregard any rude and inappropriate reviews.
Andrew Arnett: We have been part of the Champion family since the doors opened. My daughter is the first student to make it through all of the belts to earn her black belt at this wonderful school. Master Ron and his staff have always been open and welcoming to everyone that has walked through the door. Couldn't be happier with this place!
David Tanner: Awesomeness!!!Best place ever!!!Viva la champion!!!This instructor really knows his stuff. Great teacher and very patient. Very diseplend and respectful! All the students are awesome as well. My Daughter loved it!!
ya fatimah: Champion is the best place my family has been to. I have 2 brothers and a sister that go here. Master Ron is an amazing instructor and loves all his students. He is an inspiration to all the kids and students. Master Ron is very experienced and knows very well how to teach, he is very respectful and helps students achieve their goals. We have seen other Martial Arts schools and this is the best one anywhere!!! My siblings love it there its like our second home. Everyone is so friendly. I recommend this place to kids and adults. If there is anything I learned from watching them train its "The path of martial arts begins and ends with courtesy. So be genuinely polite on every occasion." -masutatsu oyama. 3 We are Champion, champion means family, family means nobody gets left behind.
Tim Mirabitur: Training at champion is a wonderful experience. Having watched multiple families exercise, grow, and gain the knowledge of taekwondo has been one of the most enjoyable things I have been witness to of my time at Champion. Senior Master Ron takes the time and his experience of well over 27 years to make sure each student is pushed to their limit with the respect, discipline, confidence, and self control that they should show everyday. Come try out this awesome school you won't be disappointed!
Imran Haque: Worst place I ever sent my daughter. Wasted 3 months there and my money. Could not make it there on time one day, and the instructor behaved very rudely with me and told me I could not bring in my daughter today. They have zero sense of politeness. My daughter also did not learn anything. It looks like there business is doing well and this is why they have gotten rude.

Phan's Academy of Tae Kwon-do: what do users think?
Jim Niemer: Great to see Master Yu's legacy carry on, I was a student at his original location in St. Clair Shores at 9 mile and harper back on the 80s. Master Yu was great friends with my late father who would teach the kids classes with me. His name was Master Ed to the children, he was a 3rd dan and I was a 1st dan, what great times and memories I have training with Master Yu. This academy of TKD is hands down the best. Maybe I'll come back to it since its so close to home.
Sarah Chinoski: Master Phan is excellent! Highly recommend. My two boys love it.

Prestige Martial Arts Troy: what do users think?
Tara Almufti: Iโ€™ve been bringing my twins to Prestige Martial Arts for 2 years and couldn't be happier. My kids have learned so much and have gained so much confidence in themselves. They learn so much more than kicking and breaking the board- they learn how to set goals and self discipline to achieve those goals.Shihan is excellent instructor with kids and really make the classes fun! I highly recommend Prestige Martial Arts!!
ๅˆ˜็‡•: great help to kids for gaining confidence and self-esteem
Neil Johnston: Fantastic atmosphere and facility for our kids to build confidence, learn life lessons, and get some exercise!
Sandy Hawley: Excellent teen program!
Riddhi Patel: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueMy kid started karate program in Nov 2020 and still loves to attend the karate school with the same energy and enthusiasm everyday since the first day!! Shihan is a wonderful mentor and we all are thankful for everything he teaches and does for the betterment of kids as well as parents !!
jethva dhaval: Best place for Kids to learn Martial ArtsMr. Shihan Teaching style is great. My son really enjoys the classes, and I do see lots of improvement in him after joining Prestige Martial arts.I would strongly recommend Prestige Martial arts.
Destiny Woods: Iโ€™ve tried so many sports/activities with my son and he wasnโ€™t interested in anything. Nothing kept his attention and he wasnโ€™t focused or has no desire to attend the practice/games.My son is in love with this program. He looks forward to going and actually wants to go every day!Iโ€™m so happy we signed him up!
Lilit Ter-Azaryan Mihm: We are extremely happy with my daughterโ€™s classes!
Vidya Pourassamy: We love that Aadhi is learning more than Karate at the class.
Kristina E: Best place to take your kids to learn karate and life skills! My little brother is always so excited to go and learn, we have been here for about a month and a half and every time we go in the experience has been great! Shihan and Kristy have been phenomenal to us! I totally recommend coming to this place you wonโ€™t regret it. PS, you make great karate friends!! ๐Ÿฅ‹๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ
Dann parker: This is an amazing class for all ages. The leader is wonderful with kids, teaches respect for both others and self, confidence, honesty, and communication in a fun way that keeps kids focused and engaged the whole time.
Kimberly Hosea: This is an amazing program. It is helping our shy little guy build self confidence and self control. Shihan Strecker really cares about these kiddos and knows what he is doing. Very happy customer!
Young Gamer: Our two sons just started at Prestige. One who has autism and one who struggles badly with anxiety and self esteem. Itโ€™s been challenging finding something they both enjoy and feel comfortable doing. So far, they love it here! Shihan is great. Communication is great. Flexible scheduling. We love it! :)
LaTrece Jackson: Prestige is a place full of positive and fun energy! My son has been a member for about 8 weeks and we are very pleased to have picked this place for our son. It is more than just martial arts, itโ€™s about physical, mental, and emotional growth. Because of Shihan, my son is always enthusiastic to going to his karate classes. Since being a part of Prestige he has shown some growth for sure. Prestige is definitely impacting my sonโ€™s life in a positive way. Highly recommend!!!
Jaclyn Goulding: My 7 year old daughter started at Prestige 6 weeks ago. After experiencing her first two years of elementary school living through covid, and all the political and race issues in the world, she had started to show signs of anxiety and depression. She was scared, angry, upset and insecure often. After a few attempts to help her, I found Prestige Martial Arts. We did the 2 week trial with nothing to lose. However, we didnโ€™t realize how much we would gain! In just those first 2 weeks, we saw a huge improvement in her attitude, her confidence, her courage and her respect for herself and others. We decided to commit and sign her up. After the 3rd week, my daughter was asked to write a few sentences on who her hero was and why. She chose Shihan all by herself and her reason was โ€œfor making her strong.โ€ As her mom, I will add that he not only made her โ€œstrongโ€ but he brought peace and joy to her life, to our familyโ€™s life. Our sweet girl who was trapped with her fears and feelings all bundled up with no release was back! The best part was that she recognized it herself and was SO grateful and relieved. She felt heard and understood and was now moving in the right direction. Prestige is SO much more than karate kicks and punches. Shihan teaches these kids real life skills and helps them implement them at home, school and in the community. He is like a therapist, life coach and co-parent all in one! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ My daughter responds well to his tough love and structure. We are so thankful for Prestige.
Eden Zhan: My son really likes the classes here and he is more open minded to the changes than before!
Amanda Widener: My children attended classes virtually with Shihan throughout the pandemic. It kept them happy and healthy and I couldnโ€™t be more grateful. He is a kind and patient teacher and truly cares about the development of the kids. The *only* reason we are not continuing with Prestige is because we live in a different state and my children want to switch to in person. I highly recommend this program.
Chandni Thakkar: My daughter has joined Prestige since two months now and we have seen great difference in her. She has not only leaned the Karate skills but also soft skills, confidence building and leadership skills as well. Shihan is the best coach and does excellent job. I highly recommend this Karate class to anyone.
sandy jablonski: My son has gained confidence and is learning discipline throughout his daily life that will help him in everything he does, all thanks to Prestige Martial Arts. He loves class and is excited to attend. I love how this martial arts school focuses on building the character of its members every bit as much as it teaches karate. So glad I found Prestige Martial Arts!
Stanley Sobo II: I am very impressed with the Prestige Martial Arts Troy method of teaching karate. The students learn MUCH more than karate skills. From my experience with my son during the Covid-19 pandemic, I highly recommend the 'Little Dragons' program to parents who want to help their young children re-adjust and re-enter into the post-Covid world particularly to prepare them for their first years at school.
Rebecca Konkolesky: This is our first time doing Karate with our 9 year old son, and he was admittedly a bit shaky at first. He wasn't used to regular exercise, and had difficulty finishing the class without sitting down a few times for a "break". After a few weeks, under the patient and encouraging teachings of Shihan Denny Strecker, he's showing much more vigor and confidence, getting through classes so much better and really embracing the course. I highly recommend the Leadership class offered as well, as our son is showing much more initiative talking to friends and outreaching to new people, as well as setting up his own personal goals for success!

Leonard Sherman: Great place , friendly staff , son enjoyed the free classes to see if he wanted to stay .. Awesome place.. thanks for letting us try it out ..
Rebecca Mariotto: I absolutely love Romanelli's. I became curious about Tai Chi a few years back due to reading on its beneifts for softer mental and physical healing. Being a GM during the yr 2020 to present, stress has been an all time high with the craziness of today. I wasnt sure what to expect for I had no idea earning sashes was a thing for Tai Chi. I took the leap and said why not let's do it. It's one of the best commitments I could have ever made for myself. The family environment of the instructors and other students is so lovely and heartwarming. Joining this Martial Arts school for my Tai Chi practice has brought me a sense of reset to feel more centered considering its opposite of my normal daily routine. It brings me balance, stress relief, positive energy, structure, stretching, self discipline, achievments to look forward to, all with growing in part of a wonderful community of people. I leave my classes feeling renewed and refreshed every time. The scheduling as well is so flexible and convenient! I praise this school for what they've created and I'm so grateful and glad I stumbled upon them during some of my toughest years mentally. Love you all!
Violeta Lucio: Sensei Romanelli has a passion for his craft. He takes his practice seriously and extends the belief of respect , attention and focus unto his students. He is wonderful with children, not intimidating and empowers the kids. Since this is a lifestyle choice, sensei gives a few free intro courses to gauge your child's interest before commiting to the program. They give call and text reminders for the classes (great for busy families). Romanelli's will leave your child with a lasting impression.

Trish Rowe: Our daughter started training in this dojo 14 years ago and now 4 of us still do. We love the family atmosphere, the Romanelli's are awesome people!
DHR kids: Positive:Communication,ProfessionalismLove this school! 150% recommended! They have been the only normal in our sons life this past year.
Chris Nardelli: Great place for anyone to learn, the staff and instructors are insanely nice, very coordinated and organized. I have my son enrolled in one of there programs
Nichole S: Romanellis is a wonderful school. My son started shortly before covid took over the world and the staff has been amazing with adapting to what they had to do to keep everyone safe while maintaining some normalcy.
Philomena Breault: Positive:Professionalism,QualityShe LOVED it! She was so impressed with her Sensei that she followed his rules even at home. We'll be back eventually, I can't wait to see that excitement in her again. Awesome staff!
David Curry: The best place for kids and adults hands down. Instructiors and assistants are all fun and engaging! The studio is the easiest to work with as well.
Forrest Boyles: Great atmosphere, excellent instructors, fantastic with children, perfect family dojo.
Makayla Pope: There teach amazingly
Kristin Hayes: they did a great job teaching at an appropriate age/learning level while keeping it fun!
Amanda Timmons: We love this place, the staff is amazing! More than just a sport for the kids.
Gabrielle Kitchen: Romanelli's has made the biggest difference in my son's life! My son has Aspergers and in the first few years of his life he was completely non-verbal. Eventually, with early intervention and lots of behavioural therapy he began thriving. But still, once he was mainstreamed in school and was academically caught up to his peers, we struggled to find something for him to partake in that he not only enjoyed but made him feel like he wasn't different and helped him engage with his peers socially. We tried team sports, boy scouts, and community events but nothing was working. Then we found Romanelli's. From the get go, you could tell this was different. The people here really care about their students, what your goals for them are and their needs. They not only teach physical form, but social skills and life skills. My son has been at Romanelli's less than a year, and already he has benefited more from his time with them than he did in 4 years of behavioural therapy. He engages with others now, he looks us in the eye when he talks, and he communicates his emotions with us. It has given him a moral code as well that he strives to stick to in everything he does. Best of all, he has made friends! He even started at a brand new school about 6 months after starting here and his teacher has said that if I hadn't told her he was on the spectrum, she would have never known. I know I owe so much of that to all of the amazing teachers here.On top of that, because of the relationship he formed with his teachers and peers, he has found something he is truly passionate about. He now loves karate and practices daily and it has taught him to set goals for himself that he truly works to achieve in every aspect of his life. This is no ordinary dojo... I have been through a little bit of karate at a couple other places with my older son as well as so many other sports and organizations with all 3 of my children. The relationship that Romanelli's builds with ALL of their students AND their families is a truly rare thing to find! If your child is interested in martial arts, or even if you are, you will not find a better place than this!
Mark Kozera: Can't say enough great things about this Karate school! They offer the highest level instruction in an eminently family-friendly environment. All ages are taught all disciplines. The martial arts are a lifestyle with this family. They do it right at all levels.
