I am in no better position than I was. Spent money for nothing. Certain items from prior system stopped working with Texh Automation. When I complained Sean referenced the proposal which was vague again, but verbally promised the job would be done. When I complained, either they said it was never discussed or it’s not on the proposal. Waste of money spent!

I researched Control4 vendors in the Rochester area and after speaking to a few firms I chose Sean and the team at Tech Automation. I had worked with other Control4 vendors on projects at previous residences and appreciated Sean’s knowledge and candor around what would be right for this house. We both determined that the existing system was not viable. He came up with new equipment package that was very reasonable and was able to get it shipped to him overnight as we had a deadline due to pending vacation.Jon installed the equipment today and made certain everything worked properly and explained all aspects of managing the system in terms that were easily understandable.Jon pricing was more than competitive. If you add that with his kindness and the great person he is it is like a huge bonus.I 110% would recommend him to anyone who wants their A/V projects addressed by a consummate professional.

We arranged for him to come over later that day to look at my home theater connectivity issues.After a lot of testing he diagnosed that the issue was with my download speed and my modem. He sat with me while we talked to the Internet Provider. He knew the right questions to ask and negotiated to upgrade my service for no extra cost and replace the modem.The Internet Provider (WOW) was very helpful and increased the upload and download rate while we were waiting. After this, the system worked great. John also provided suggestions on how to further improve the performance.Without John, I would still be stuck in the dark ages.John has paid his dues. He is now branching out on his own.He should be the first person to call if you have home theater installation/connectivity issues, he doesn't give up and does a great job.

In addition to the install, he took the time to do the TV shopping for us and found a great deal on a Sony available at Best Buy. This extra above and beyond service saved us a ton of time and money. We were so pleased with his work that we had him back to hook up our 20 year old surround system. He never pressured us to purchase a new system, assured us the old one would work just fine.
