U.S. Truck Driver Training School: what do users think?
Devon D: Great school, I went from knowing next to nothing about operating a truck to passing my road test on the first try. All the Instructors are great, small classes, they do everything to prepare you for the future. Big thanks to Tim, Moe, Ron, Chris, and Todd. Can’t recommend these guys enough.
Ben Saley: Everyone in this school is awsome and helpful. Very patient and understanding
Amber Evans: I attended this school going through the CDL A 160 hour program. All of the teachers/instructors were very knowledgeable in their teaching and answered the questions that I had. They were all rooting for the success of the students & wanted you to work hard to achieve your goals. The office staff wanted you to succeed also by doing what they could to keep the process moving. It can be a busy place so props to them for all of the craziness that can go on during a day. I very much appreciate all of them and will recommend this school to any future individuals interested in beginning their trucking career 🙂

METRO DRIVING SCHOOL INC. Since: 2009: what do users think?
Mahuba Islam: Nice
Zhanyla Coley: Good driving instructors that are very patient.
Chlorine: Very helpful! I was so nervous when I first started driving but once I started it's so fun. Especially with the freeway I went on for the first time yesterday and I already wanna go back on! I really thought I was gonna hit a cone when I was doing parking but I actually did pretty good with the help of my instructor. Really great place to learn driving.
Amaya Nicole: My experience here was great! The instructor was very nice and patient and everything was explained clearly. I recommend this place.
Azeriphale: There isn't anything wrong with the fact that someone doesn't speak fluent English however that makes it very hard to understand them. I could barely understand the instructor. He has his hand on the wheel most of the time when you drive. (He maybe took his hand off for thirty seconds a couple of times.) He also does all of the braking. But he'll tell you to brake and then do it himself. And when he uses the brake on the passenger side it makes the driver side brake go down which then makes your foot slip because you're not expecting it to suddenly go down, and when he did that, and made my foot slip which caused me to accidentally slam on the brakes which he then gets mad about When he was the one who causes it. He gives very conflicting instructions. For example he'll tell you to slow down when you're not even going the speed limit yet and then tell you to speed up immediately after. He also does all of the turns for you. So you don't get a quality experience with the little you do get. And he made a weird comment about my weight and related it to driving. He said, "Don't slam on the brake if you're a bigger guy it's more dangerous for you." Which was just weird. And in the classroom, he is constantly walking in and out and he constantly talks about how great his program is. And it's just really difficult to understand him. And when we parallel parked he did the whole thing for me! And then told me "I did a good job." This is getting long but just don't go here it's not a good experience.
Kdizz 10: Nice driving instructor,Very easy to learn, The teacher is very patient while driving with students.
Mearah McLean: Had a fun time driving!
Chrysta Patterson: They do NOT offer road tests!
Bell Bobby: Great school would recommend
Kennedy Charnae: it was definitely worth it and i would recommend
Rashad Travis: Fun class good teachers, the teachers help a lot and with more
Clayton Wood: Nice driving instructors
Brian Williams 3: Help me a lot with my turn
keegan: The instructors were very good people and they care about students getting on the road and being ready!
Tristan Compton: Very nice lessons!!
Drippzy: great place they make it very fun
Chandler Presley: As a first time driver, the instructors patient and very informative. I loved her, she was amazing!
Fahmida S: Instructors teach very well and learned everything i need to know in order to drive.
Timothy Arrington: Very helpful people polite to where you will want to ask questions and will appreciate them they want to actually help you be a safe better driver if you are willing to learn it for yourself
Austin Wilkins: Great driving school!!!! Lessons very clear and great instructor every nice and answers any questions you have I'm on my last day of driving and thanks to metro driving school I have become a very safe and confident driver. Great way of teaching. I totally recommend!!!! 5 stars hands down!!!!

Grace and Mercy Driving School, Inc.: what do users think?
Traci Harris: was very skeptical at first by the looks of it. But Mr Henry is an awesome teacher and makes sure the students know what they are doing. I would highly recommend this place. just dont jusge a book by its cover lol
Ally 2469: This place looks very shady and off putting I was scheduled for a certain time I got there and no one was there I wasted my time and money for an Uber to get here very unprofessional I do not recommend this place there are better more professional driving school so glad I didn’t give my money.
Ashley Anderson: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Value
Amber B.: I wish i could give no stars. The day i was supposed to start it poured down raining. I dont drive so i called ahead of time to make sure the instructor would be there before i went out of my way to get an uber. The guy told me he was there and that yes the lesson would still go on. I got there and no one was there. No one answered the door and the phone that i called on just 20mins prior continuously went to voice mail(9xs) i called and knocked for about 30mins while standing in the pouring rain trying to get an uber to take me back to my home. So glad i haddent yet handed over my payment. Id rather take my money to a more reliable business
Anijah Davis: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Alexis Lucus: Positive:ValueMr.Henry is so nice and patient. Really cares for his students and goes out of his way! I would highly recommend this wonderful man. He can teach anyone!
Kayla: Look when you first walk in it looks kind of sketchy but the teacher Mr.Henry is a really great teacher. He has corny jokes lol, takes you to Burger King, it’s great for one on one teaching & practicing. Very upset the corona happened because I won’t be able to go to him for segment 2 but I did enjoy working with him! I highly recommend him! Plus, he’s cheaper. But don’t judge him based on the building, trust the outcome!
Imagine Creativity: One of the best teachers I've ever had for a driving course, He was a wonderful experience to talk to and really makes you feel comfortable while driving and giving instructions. I highly recommend this place for any new drivers or people who need practice!
April Sawyers: Scared the hell out of me when I went in,barely lite,no tables 3 kids in chairs, coats on because it's so cold. Teacher had on 2 pairs of glasses, extension cords everywhere. Got out if there ASAP!
Nancy Kubiak: Thirel teacher. Best teacher I've ever had.
J S: Less expensive, small classes, great one on one instructions. Thanks for teaching my child to drive...
LegendxCraft: Great place to learn to drive

160 Driving Academy of Detroit: what do users think?
Jason Sarazin: One of the best schools I've ever been to my trainer Henry very patient and very helpful great trainer krisie and Jalyn are also very skilled and very helpful thank you 160 Academy for helping me pursue my career with my new CDL
Kerry Duggan: 160 Driving Academy in Detroit was better than I ever expected. Early on Kristi helped me so much and helped me get the schooling done and I went to the yard. Jalen, Will, Tracey, Henry, Morice, Brendan, and Nikita were so helpful in getting my class A CDL. they gave me the best training possible and I am very grateful. If your looking for a great school to train for your CDL......cut the chase ....Just call 160 Driving Academy. I'm glad I did!!!!!
1bad CHARGIE: A GOOD TEAM BEGAN WITH A GOOD LEADERSHIP, MIS KRISTI 👏 IS VERY EXCELLENT AND HEART WELCOMING. IM A PROUND GRADUATE OF 160DRIVE ACADEMY. IF ANYONE OUT THERE LOOKING FORWARD TO ACHIEVE THEIR CDL. 160DRIVE IS A ONE STOP SCHOOL TO GET YOU READY FOR GREATNESS. THANKS TO ALL THE INSTRUCTOR,S AT ROYAL OAK TOWNSHIP LOCATION.
Jordan Suiter: They really care about making sure that your pass your test and will help you as needed. Plus an amazing staff!
Al Wilson Jr: I Passed my Driving Skills Tests on my first attempt with the wonderful leading, and experience, of Kristi and the whole Yard Team of 160 Driving Academy. The in-class 40hr training was fast paced, but in no wise impossible. They delivered on what they offered. Kristi, the Office Manager, fully explained what to expect as a student, and suggested options to pay for schooling, which helped A LOT!!!! I had to do my part (study, study, study - be intentional about learning) and the instructors did their part - they taught clearly, gave examples from their own experience, and made time to help train on their own time. I would recommend 160 Driving Academy to anyone who's serious, self-driven, and looking for a new career. Thanks 160 Driving Academy!!!!
Ryan Ritter: The knowledge and experience of the entire instruction staff made 160 Driving Academy of Detroit an outstanding school to learn and develop the skills and safety techniques required to join the transportation industry. I could not be happier with the results and confidence I came away with from choosing this school. Choose this school, and you'll be properly prepared for the permit testing, the pretrip inspection, performing backing maneuvers, and driving on the road. The leadership by Kristi in the office, and Utivia in the yard is garunteed to set you up for a successful career! Thank you 160!
Christian Baker: Love 160 Driving academy!!!! I 100% recommend this school, the staff is great!! Thanks for the great experience!
Lesa McClain: Zero stars. I had an appointment in Sylvania Ohio on Friday 11/25/22. They phoned AND text me on Monday 11/21/22 and told me I missed my appointment. I informed them my appointment was on Friday the 25th of November. They said oh yeah it is on Friday the 25th. I drove 1 1/2 hrs. On Friday 11/25/22 to find a note on their door stating they were closed until Monday. On Monday 11/28/22 they text me that I missed my appointment on Friday 11/25/22. Does not seem like a legit company. Their office is in a strip mall. Seems like a scam.
Marcus Tillery: 160 driving academy was awesome they reall prepared me and help me better understand how to operate and be confident behind the wheel of a tractor trailer I really enjoyed my time and experience there.
Mike B: The Whole 160 StaffThank you so much for your very valuable training. I really enjoyed and appreciate the time spent. I feel better prepared to deal with uncomfortable issues as they occur while driving. Thank you for your wisdom, experience and personable presentation. Thanks to 160 I’ve now began a new career. Words can’t explain how grateful I am. Thank you Thank you Thank you! Blessings to you all.
E Bri: Want an excellent experience to learn how to drive a Semi-Truck? Look no further! This is the place you want your education and on-hands truck driving training!!My wife is posting this review for me as I am technically challenged.Everything anybody has said about how good this school is, it is true! From Kristi (the office lady), to the on-line instructors, to the instructors in the yard. They get you ready to pass the written test AND the driving test.I was 62 years old going through the training in 2021, and I passed both tests the first time around!! I'm not the sharpest knife in the cupboard, so if I can do it, so can you. Very happy I chose 160 Driving Academy.
M Fix: Great office and yard team to give you all the skills needed to obtain your CDL.. would suggest anyone looking for a top school for driving to check them out ... keep up the good work 160 academy👍
Jeff Bennett: This school is amazing! I shopped around for a school through the entire southeast Michigan and came across 160 and I’m glad I did. Kristi, thank you for making it all an easy process and being so accommodating! Utivia, Nakita, Kelly, Will, Tracy, Brandon are the best instructors in the country, I can’t express the amount I’ve learned from them and this school. Truly a career changer. Thank you all for everything! ONE AND DONE 2022! ☝🏻
Alonzo Brown: Everyone was very professional and a pleasure to be around, I learned a lot and they was also very helpful.
Theroin Gregory: Nice School, they make the changes and make the effort to see you succeed
Greatness Personified: The best truck driving school around! They were friendly, caring, and great teachers, and everyone was great at their jobs. From the office manager to the yard manager, to all the instructors at the yard. Wonderful atmosphere and helped me get my CDL!
Artur Zukowski: I strongly recommend 160 Driving Academy to everyone looking for a commercial driver license. The expertise of the instructors is outstanding. They give you personal and priceless tips that really help with motivation, self-guidance and focus on the goal. If you want to drive a truck, 160 Driving Academy’s instruction system is your answer. 160 hours is enough to grasp all crucial knowledge, perfect your skills, and get inside information from professionals that spent years in transportation industry. The program is demanding and fun at the same time. All you need is the right attitude, because sponsorships are available. Go there for “One and Done” when it comes to state exam.
Tyler Jenkins: At the beginning of August I enrolled with 160 Driving Academy to get my Class A CDL. Out of all of the schools that I contacted they gave me the most information. 160 is the most professional, had the highest passing rate, and had the best equipment of all the schools in the area. The entire course is about 1 month long with 1 week of classroom training and 3 weeks of yard training. Kristi and Theresa in the office were the nicest ladies and helped me get through the application process and all the paperwork with ease. The classroom instructor James was very thorough and had a good sense of humor. The yard instructors Utivia, Nakita, Kelly, Tracy, Brendun, and Adrian were extremely helpful with all of the tips from their many years of truck driving experience. I highly recommend that anyone looking to get their CDL give 160 a call and all of the wonderful people there will help you get your test done the first time.
Haroun Jaber: Really good school Im happy because I worked with them
Chonci Kidd: Great place to earn your CDL. Fast paced so come motivated to learn. Instructors are patient and very knowledgeable. Shout out to instructor Will for getting me road ready.See you ladies and gentlemen on the road.
Derek Vojinov: 160 is awesome! I liked all their instructors, their all very patient and all have their own unique way of teaching! They have lots of trucks on the yard to give you plenty of time for practice! I have nothing but good things to say about 160!!!

Fatlum Bajramaj: This is not a good school. As soon as you pay the money, you see the real face. They never put me in a truck. After you pay the money, there is no service at all. I had to go to a different school to get my license. Just see the receipt you get when you pay.

Salar Alabadi: Less than one star , good attitude until pay full money then you will see the real face , a lot of problems in trucks and documents when u learning, the push you to take the exam without drive on Highway one time even , they will tell u need 3 weeks to get the license but u will take 7 weeks.
Jeffery Mayes: This school has changed my life and giving me a real opportunity to bring meaning and purpose back to my life after it has eluded me for so many years. The instructor's are wonderful and committed to helping you learn skills needed to remain successful in the trucking industry.I felt like family and still do and this experience will always play a significant role in my life and I will continue to remain available day or night just in case I'm needed to assist them in any way.The school is unique because there are so many ethnic backgrounds and different cultures which allowed me to make new friends from all walks of life. The school is a family business and everyone is treated with respect and that's how every business should be ran I'm on to my next chapter of my life and I owe it all to the almighty God and GTR Truck driving school.

I am very proud to represent GTR and one day I intend to go back and instruct future students.

marios najib: Very good school
Zaid Saad: Fun class and very good school
MT Luttenberger: I have little driving experience as an adult and I went to All Cities to gain more driving skills and they did not disappoint! No.1, they have the most reasonable price for their driving lessons; no.2, Mr. Hany, my instructor, was really great in teaching me the rules of the road and some driving techniques. He motivated me to take my road test after our last session, based off of his assessment on my driving. I did my road test that day and met Mr. Anas who is very encouraging and super nice! I passed on my first try!!! I’m glad I went to All Cities for my driving lessons and I highly recommend them!

John Ghanem: This is the best driving school u could go to the teacher over there makes you learn everything and if u fail the first test they give you another try
Sujita Pandey: Had a wonderful experience behind the wheels.
lydia mero: amazing, very good at teaching
Rima Horne: Annas is amazing. My son had taken classes with courtesy and after his segment 2 completion, I did not think he was ready. Annas took him out driving for 2 hours. My son was more comfortable and confident. He gave him more instruction in the 2 hours than the entire time he spent with Courtesy. Annas also scheduled his road test the same week. My son passed the test and he is very comfortable driving on his own. I definitely recommend this school to any new teen driver. I will sign my youngest for all of the segments with this school. Thank you for the great experience.
Jobiwon Kenobi: Learned everything need and passed my test in less than 20 minutes
Imari Woodson: Excellent school excellent teacher the best experience
Stephen Seeman: They don't offer road test period. Just called!
Juju Jiad: Annas is an amazing teacher. He explains very well and also shows us videos for visual people like me.
ward zora: Anas is an amazing instructor. He makes sure you understand what you’re learning and will make his best effort to help students understand. Had a fun experience !
thomas Yousef: BEST DRIVING SCHOOL IN THE WORLD
Reem Salem: I’m so thankful I came across this place. Anas is so patient and makes you feel very comfortable.

Suburban Truck Driver Training: what do users think?
Aaron Burns: Currently going to the school now. I love everything about the school and will be testing out soon. The instructors are great! Skip, Tom with the glasses that’s always playing his music lol tall Tom Karl, Andre, Chico MISS E!!! They all want to see you win. Like anything else nothing great comes easy! Just apply yourself!! After talking with Vern about 6-7 weeks ago I knew this opportunity was going to change my life and I still know it is. I’m in the middle of my 6th week and I’m at the tail end of having a promising career. If you’re going to get your class A CDL this is the school to go to! 100%
Martezz davis: Let me start with this is a dream come true first and foremost I’m thankful for everyone from the front office to the actual training yards Ms.Laura welcomed me with open arms and direct care for any needs I had to be successful as well as Ashley my counselor Vern a tremendous guy guy will go out of his way to make sure your getting what you need to make it to school coaching and motivating you through you can see his passion to help the students be successful I appreciate him ms ester wow I can speak the entire time about her she the teacher that I wish i had in school 😂 but she knows her stuff caring and attentive to your style of learning she picks it up so quick with her heighten awareness to help with what you may struggle with and the yard instructors are amazing no matter the weather or not Chico, skip,Andre,Marcus,Tom and are there helping the students master the maneuvers these guys along with my driving instructor Eric are truly gems the amount of work and dedication they put in for each student is amazing thank you all and for anyone I didn’t mention I appreciate you all as thank you suburban for creating a successful career for me and my family
Paul Z: Terrible school. Rude. They're a bunch of a holes. They just want to get you passed, not teach you how to be a truck driver.
Notable Zero: The CDL road tester gets to live in the truck the school provides him to test you with. Conflict of interest.
Patrice Langston: Words can't express how I feel about Suburban Truck Driving School! Just say it was one of the best choices I made when I decided to change my career. I wasn't prepared for what was coming ahead of me. Noone could have prepared me to climb up in an 18-wheeler truck and double clutch and shift 10 gears all at the same time. But guess what Suburban Truck Driving School did.I want to give big shout out to all the office staff the best.Laura, Ms. Esther, Ashley, Brittany, Mike, Julia, Verne thank you!Big shout out to all my yard instructors: Carl, Skip, Tom, Tom, Chico, Marcus the best ever!Big shout out to my road instructors: Eric, Smitty, James, Randy, Butch. And last but not least my mechanic lol Dale so funny!State Examiner Dave thank you for being you takes a lot.I will forever be grateful to all of you and most of all the valuable time that you invested in me to finish the first part of this forever journey. You gave us the tools to work with we just had to show up and show out. One thing I learned when I walked that yard every day was that if you came ready you didn't have to get ready,So, to all the young men and women that I met out in the yard I was Ms. Patrice to some Auntie to others stay focused don't give up I promise it will pay off in the end. #CDLA # TRUCKERTHANK YOU SUBURBAN TRUCK DRIVING SCHOOL!!!SEE YOU ON THE ROAD!!
Caroline Grant-Ballez: If you are looking to go to truck driver training school, this is the place to go. They give you all of the tools you need to successfully pass the state exam. Carl and Skip will go out of the way to make sure you feel confident and comfortable enough to drive a truck. Marcus, Chico, and both Toms are great instructors, very patient and understanding, they’ll never rush you through. . I started never even had been in a semi truck before in my life. If I can do it, you can do it. You won’t get babied or taught differently just because you’re a female either. If you need to learn to shift (up or down) Erik is the best road instructor there if for that!! Overall just a great experience/journey. I would recommend this place to anyone.
India Manning: Do not recommend going during the cold season. It's only semi closed tents with kerosene heaters that burn ppl eyes.If you do have to suffer through the cold here, attempt to sign up for the B lot (off site lot). There you can sit in your warm car and watch for your turn to come up, oppose to standing in the cold or burning your eyes or missing your turn when you go in to warm up. I suggested if they could just take one person's tuition they could produce something greater than what they have as far as the heating system. Also recommended possibly getting a small intercom that can tell ppl in the break room/lunch room that their turn is up.They have some dope ppl that work there... Shout out to Mrs E ❣️, Smitty, Chico, Marcus, James, Tom x2 and I'm sure I'm missing someone. Other instructors belittled the man and I can tell gave me the benefit of the doubt more, cause I am a woman. Anywho I did feel comfortable attending as a woman.
Sedarius Evans: Good instructors they very helpful
Austyn Mexicotte: Uk a lot of people complain about this school but let me Say this u have to utilize ur time wisely. U do have a lot of down time where ur not in a truck but use it to practice ur pretrip ur straightBacks anything that u don’t need an instructor Over ur head telling u what to do take initiative. Laura was great she always has a big smile On her face and is always willing to talk to u about any thing u need Brittany is also very helpful as well she will get u where u need to go don’t over stress urself. I have nothing bad to say about the school as a whole and beleive me I’ve been frustrated with an instructor but I did it and u have to understand there under just as much stress as us the deal with alot of different people and personalities it was awesome for me at least. Don’t beleive everything U hear judge for urself.
Dennard Harris: My journey started with the excellent help of the staff! First we have Miss Esther, Tom, Skip, Karl, Smitty, Chico, Marcus, and last but not least my wonderful counselor Julie. I appreciate all the work you guys have done for me. Excellent school to attend.
Chrissy Ladukey: One of the Best CDL Training Programs In Michigan! I would recommend Suburban to anyone who wants to receive their CDL LICENSE!
Patrick Wynne: Short version 5 stars all around.Where's the fun in the short version. It's hard to describe how transformative my experience at Suburban was, from dispelling myths I had about truck driving to how I felt getting behind the wheel for the 1st time.Firstly, the staff, these are professionals with years of experience and expertise. In my weeks at school, I've had the distinct pleasure of working with many of them, and I've always found them to be willing to share, guide, help and yes, critique and criticize when needed. Something to remember you're training for a career that can be as rewarding as it is challenging and if you're coming into the industry expecting to be pampered and catered to this industry it's probably not a good fit.My return on my investment was based on how much I was willing to put into it, these instructors know their stuff, listen and apply what they say while working within the structure of the school and you will succeed. The office staff was and is 5 star also with a vested interest in me as a student and future driver. They were always and constantly available for everything I needed. They were the 1st encounter I had with the school and definitely did right by me on all accounts.I would be remiss if I didn't take a moment and thank Carl, Tom and Tom, Skip, Eric, Butch thanks for the tour of Detroit and the eating insights, Marcus the few short days we worked together you were a great help and I'm confident you'll nail it, Chico we didn't get the chance but everyone had great things to say about 'ya, Julie &Vern thanks for everything, Vern I'm gonna revel in that "Peace" you mentioned.Laura never doubt that seeing you on the yard talking with students and staff checking on us didn't go unnoticed or unappreciated thank you.Last but definitely not least, Mrs E.... you're a beautiful person helpful, knowledgeable and also the 1st instructor I had the pleasure to work with thank you so much for everything.I made some friends, got my CDL and am ready to embark on the next chapter... Suburban was worth every penny and I wholeheartedly recommend the school if you're looking to be trained by professionals that care about you and your potential..
Allen K: Overcrowded ,bunch of racist hillbilly’s that work there ,please consider before going there .
Barbra W: I recently graduated from this school... what a positive experience, starting with my counselor Deb, very down to earth and helpful, the office staff Danielle found me a great career. The teachers in the classroom & yard Skip, Karl, Joe & Smitty were fun & very helpful and took their time teaching you the maneuvers, also answering any questions. The road crew Jason, Rich & Eric driving with them was a great time they are fun, knowledgeable and make learning to drive very relaxing environment. The state instructor did a fantastic job and was very cool and professional. The environment they have laid out for training is like your second family, you will like the atmosphere, don't just sit there reading give them a call and GET STARTED you won't regret it!
Myles W: Great school james Bob and Both Tom's are the best instructors you will catch on fast
Lamont Tucker: Was very overcrowded when I was there, not enough time practicing maneuvers in a 10 hr day. They did not give me a certificate when I graduated, and I haven't received it in the mail either. It's been over a month. Ok I received my certificate October 8th,graduated August 29th.
mostafa almahasneh: Starting with mr VernHelped me enroll in the classFive weeks of dedication and successMy offset was done through me james who was very smart letting people learn from their mistakeThen he instructs the student if he has hard timeFor my 90Was mr Tom and CarlBoth are amazingWhen you think about truckingAlways suburban is the bestThanks for all of you instructors and office team and ms estThanks for your dedication
Blake Hyde: Mike and Vern are GREAT! This is a school that wants you to better yourself and your career! I would recommend Suburban to anyone looking for an outstanding support and training staff!
Robert Stein: Great school changed my life
S. Dot: This company is terrible. Although I graduated, they’d have over 200 people waiting in lines to get in the vehicles once in the morning and once in the evening (DRIVE UP THERE, IF YOU THINK I’M LYING). They used to say that they graduated 99% of their students, because they would pass people even if they did terrible on the road test.I wonder if they ever got audited???TERRIBLE TERRIBLE and did I forget to say TERRIBLE COMPANY.I wish the NEWS would go up there and see how it’s being ran.If you ever notice the people that say “this is a great place” are the people who graduated that don’t have to ever step foot on their turf ever again. They only get one star because, I couldn’t give them zero stars.
Lee Madera: Amazing staff and instructors. Stuck by me and made sure I graduated.
