Michael: I give them a 5 star on every thing they did. The boss is very nice, two mechanics are super knowledgeable. They help me a lot by giving me a free quick check on my car, and point out the real problem instead of me saying what's the problem is and save me the money. Very very nice place to recommend if your car has some issue and let them fix it.

Pennelope Blakely: Packard Auto repair has always been kind, explained issues without talking down to me (as a woman, I've found many other places do this), always have fair prices, and do a great job with repairs. I've never found them to be recommending repairs I don't need, and they always provide guidance if a repair is immediately necessary or could wait. I highly recommend them.

Shadow Prince: They will steal your car parts... take a picture of your engine and battery mark your alternator because if it's genuine they will steal it. I paid for survice and parts and got my parts stolen/replaced.

Today I pulled in for an oil change and they noticed some unsafe issue and suggested me to repair it asap.. I am grateful for them because I could have been injured or killed riding the way I was riding.. And the cost is always less than what I am thinking in my head.. I appreciate them and will continue to be a loyal customer..

Nathan Truchan: I have been taking my vehicles to Packard Auto for the past 8 years. They are always friendly and helpful. They do excellent work at a fair price. On a number of occasions they have said this is what you need to get done to make the car safe to drive and said they are other things you can do but aren't necessary. I really appreciate that type of service because it lets me choose what I want to get done and how much I need to spend. I can't recommend Packard Auto enough.
Molly Stamos: Buyers beware! I got the following quote from PAR and because it was a very expensive quote of $3849.41 I decided to save some $ and take it to my brother’s auto shop in Farmington Hills. This is really inconvenient for me but given the price was well worth th drive in. He is a very reputable and has had a garage for 30 + years. He charges me 200.84. You can see the attached quotes and exactly what my brothers recommendations were to stop the noise my car was making. I went back into PAR to show them my car was fixed for $200 saving me a grand total of $3826.57. They stood by their original quote. Wow! Take what you will from this. Peace.

Nate Berent-Spillson: AC wasn’t working. The did a systematic troubleshooting and communicated all along the way. It ended up being the compressor, so not cheap to fix but the air is icy cold now!

After having a horrible experience at another shop which led to part why I needed these repairs they made sure I got back out on the road and told me to come back if anything acted up! Marissa Martinelli: I cannot say enough good things about Abe and his team!! It's like having a close family friend down the street who can help me. I initially came here to get the bumper on my roommate's car replaced. He offered to do it for 25% less than an estimate I had from another shop. He was patient with me and transparent through the whole process! They did great work and had it done quickly. But that's not all... I recently bought my own used car and somehow accidentally engaged the parking brake. I spent a long time and several Google searches trying to figure out how to fix it, but the "parking brake" light and beeping would not stop. I drove over to the shop, and Abe immediately fixed it for me and taught me how to disengage the brake on my own if it happens again. And THEN when he saw on my dashboard that my tire pressure was low, he had someone fill all my tires for me! Didn't charge me anything; was just happy to help. They treat their customers like family! I'll definitely go back to Broadway Auto when I need anything else for my car.

Bob Johnson: Read code for "check engine light"... reset code and reported "catalytic converter insufficiency." Added BG to fuel. Hope it will be a while before the converter signal returns. But return it will with 126K on this 2010 Volvo S80.

Patrick Cleary: An HONEST and fair mechanic shop with great and timely customer service. Priceless.I took my car to get an oil change at a local Ford dealership in Ann Arbor with a coupon. Of course they did their free inspection and found that I had a "severe oil leak." That my oil pan would need to be replaced. And that the repair would cost $1,800. I thought it strange as I'd never seen any oil on the floor or my garage or had any other issues with how the car had been runningAs I thought this odd, I called Colonial (as the shop was highly recommended by a friend) and spoke with Anthony regarding the potential issue. After discussion with him I felt comfortable with my initial decision leaving Ford w/o getting the repair. Anthony advised of red flags to look out for, and to bring it into the shop if needed so that he could give it a lookA few weeks later (unrelated to above), I needed to get my battery replaced, having a newer car I was unable to do it myself. So I brought it to the shop. The battery was replaced and the car put up on a lift so they could look at the oil pan issue as listed above. Anthony advised me that he could not detect any "severe oil leak," but only a minor issue that did not even need to be attended too. I've had my car nearly a week since and no issues. All is well. Kim Wehrmeister: Hoover St diagnosed my headlights not working as a corroded relay in the battery junction box. The repair was done within a week, delayed only due to obtaining a part on a 10-year old car from out of state. They also reconnected a loose heat shield on the underside of the car. Shortly after the repair, I receive a notification from Ford Motor that there was a national recall on the battery junction box for the exact repair I'd just had completed with Hoover. The recall stated that they would refund any previous repairs provided a detailed receipt was provided. I contacted Hoover St and told them about the recall, and asked if they could add additional details, just to be sure Ford would cover it. They added a lot of very detailed notes to the invoice and emailed it to me so I wouldn't have to pick it up. They didn't have to do that for me, but they went above and beyond. This was my first visit to Hoover St, also, so it's not like I was a consistent customer. Anas Alsabbah: Long story short, I purchased a used 2017 Lexus RX350. Had it inspected by Lexus dealership before purchasing and they told me it needed rear shocks and a timing cover reseal. so I called shopping around for quotes and between the four different mechanics that I called all rated 4+ in the ann arbor area, this was the only shop that took 10 minutes explaining the timing cover reseal problem and kindly told me he didn’t have enough staff to perform that kind of work. As for the rear shocks some gave me quotes more than what the dealers prices were and other slightly below. This shop quote was the most fair, affordable and cheapest amongst the bunch. BTW non of the other shops agreed to take on the timing reseal job for whatever reason. To top it off this was the only shop that gave me a call back with a quote within an hour. I had to call the other shops again next day to get my quote. To the person I spoke to (believe it was Joe) thank you!

Our car suddenly could not start - several garage I called started to bring us astronomical cost to tow the car and change many pieces. Our interaction with them made a lasting impact on me:Joe asked me over the phone "hey did you try the spare key? If this work - it is just the battery in the key! This will just cost you a few bucks to buy one at the grocery store".He was right. I called back and said I wanted to pay and he told me "are you kidding? I am just glad we could help you".Are they inexpensive? Or expensive? When I talk with friend everybody agree that they are fair priced mechanics for the Ann Arbor area. They are extremely serviceable and honest and helpful.Once we dropped the car while we were overseas for vaccay - Joe texted me all the informations and cost. We discussed by text message. He had to adapt to me and so he did. We came back to a perfectly running car.Outside of many repairs, on two different cars and many from our friends and family... A repair failed a few months later (a year to be fair) - they abide in their warranted work without a question or any problem. This happens, this is part of the game - glad I could count on them.

Addison Smith: I was told by Firestone that my radiator had a leak after paying $70 for an inspection. Then after seeking a second opinion, I got referred by Japanese Auto to Select Auto Service. Select Auto employees were friendly, very honest, and upfront with what needed to be done to my van. They found that my radiator didn't have a leak and that instead I needed my water cooler needed to be replaced and my radiator fan relay needed to be replaced. Not only did they properly diagnose the problem, but they quoted me $675 instead of the $1000 Firestone would've charged be to fix a wrongly diagnosed issue! My van is now working great and it's all thanks to the great people at Select Auto Service!

Eric Osborn: Convenience Auto SAVED MY CAR. The dealership told us we needed a new head gasket for my 2005 Toyota Corolla. Cost? Almost $4,000. We were not going to pay that for an 18-year-old car so we immediately began car shopping. Still, something nagged at me. The dealership had seemed sketchy and my experience thus far hadn’t been the best. Was it worth getting a second quote?I decided to give it a try. I found Convenience Auto and read their great reviews. I called them to ask for a quote on a new head gasket. Surprisingly, they told me that often the dealer misdiagnoses the oil leak and they’d rather take a look first. They did look, TWICE, and confirmed that is was not the head gasket that was leaking oil, but a different part that the dealership had “repaired” months earlier! If I hadn't call them, our car would be gone!Throughout the process Justin and Garrett were outstanding. Answering my thousand questions patiently, shuttling me back and forth from home while they repaired the car, and generally being amazing! Everything they did was to steer us towards less expensive options that were better for the car and better for us.This is customer service at its finest and the car has run great ever since. If I had followed the dealership, our car would probably be gone forever but instead, we’re driving it every day and loving not having a monthly auto loan. Thank you guys! For me, this wasn't an issue but could be for someone with a tight schedule. They maintain several means of contact so there's no issue getting a hold of anyone for anything you need.They diagnosed and performed the work, even held the vehicle for me so I could get a proper window to pick up my car. My only gripe is the cost of the work and I'm not even showing how much they would've charged for brakes and rotors.Most often, inspections are included with services performed when all repairs are made on a vehicle. That has been my experience in the past but the inspection charges here were not waved which elevated the final cost.Great people and great service but if you can get it done for cheaper, I advise you take that route with your vehicle.

Akshay Bhardwaj: The owner was rude and unprofessional. I asked for a price quote on a simple repair which apparently he could not do for several reasons. Instead of simply saying 'NO', he started talking about how I needed to go somewhere else since doing this repair could "make him look bad" as it could affect other parts of the car.
