Sur La Table: what do users think?
Amy: I only come here to look at the pricey items I don’t really need for my kitchen but want anyways. It’s fun to pop in when I’m in the shopping area and see what cool gadgets I could implement in my cooking.
Devin Hamlin: I emailed the store several times, as instructed by customer service, to inform them of a food allergy for a cooking class. They never responded, and did not tell us until right before that they would be unwilling to accommodate the allergy, despite customer service reassuring me otherwise via the phone.Manager was to follow up on classes that could be taken with the food allergy and did not.
Jessi Colling: I guess I should be happy I got a refund. I got an email saying my refund was being processed for my cooking class I had booked for my MILs birthday even though I didn't ask for one. I had to call customer service to find out it was canceled. If you can tell your system to email people when they get a refund you can also tell your system to email people automatically when a class is canceled. Guess I should be happy I found out before we drove out there.
Jean R: Meg at Arbor Hills did a super job taking care of a gift card situation.
Christopher Clemmons: Excellent store. I just bought my espresso machine. It was shown as out of stock, but the staff went the extra mile to find it for me and was able to get it in-store.
Chester Lee: Excellent staff and service!
Taco: It's the not the best place, the staff weren't the friendliest people and it took way to long to check out, it's also rather expensive and there's always a problem everytime I went in here about the cash registers, and the staff don't remind you that u don't put ur pin number in because it will say decline.
Courtney Spencer: My family and I (8 of us) booked a cooking class and we’re really looking forward to it! We drove from Battle Creek and Grand Rapids (275 miles round trip, 4 hours driving) only to find out upon arrival that the class has been canceled, noting we should have received an email and a refund. All 8 of us in our group checked for said email and/or refund which none of us had received. Another group of 4 came in shortly after us and we’re told the same thing. 12 people arriving for the same class indicates this was a system failure on Sur la Table and the fact that we were told to reach out to customer service on our own, for a refund is baffling to me. For a store marketing they have the finest cookware and exquisite dining experiences, one would think they should have the customer service to match. In reading these online reviews, it’s apparent we aren’t the first individuals this has happened to, indicating this method of canceling class has failed before. The waste of time, money, and minimal effort on the brand to help make this right is incredibly disappointing.
Jeff Layman: Our family loves Sur La Table, so for our holiday get-together we booked a cooking class. We all drove in to Ann Arbor from Grand Rapids and Battle Creek, only to find out the class had been cancelled. No phone call, no email, no refund (as of this writing) and hours of wasted time. We were given a polite apology and a phone number to call Customer Service - that’s it. We couldn’t be more upset.
Patricia Deldin: We were scheduled for a class this morning and they didnt show up. Plus their customer service was totally unhelpful and in the Philippines. With how much they charge, they should have u.s. workers and better service.
Lisa Oconnell: Arrived at 7:10 p.m. to see two workers inside near cash register ignoring all the people (12-15) at the door for a store that is supposed to close at 8 p.m. Really? Monday before Christmas - no reason given. I drove 25 minutes to get there! They just don't care!?! I hope the other 12 people write a review too.
Giselle Stitt: Got myself a new Cuisinart Coffee Maker and a really good Knife. Happy Birthday to Me!!!
William Young: Wonderful dishes! I typically have gotten the Shashuka breakfast which is really good but this time I went outside my bubble and ordered the cold smoked salmon omelet which was delicious; next time I'm definitely getting Alan's Mishmash! A friend of mine ordered that & it looked and smelled amazing!
Lindsey Mott: The staff here is incredible! Will definitely be back!
Aylin Jerkins: Took a cooking class here. It was such an amazing time! Our instructor went at the right pace for us to keep up and was very patient. The food was fun to make and delicious. We learned a lot of new tips and tricks. The instructor was not pushy at all to buy their products after and was very straightforward on what was needed. Would definitely recommend for a fun night out with anyone.
Elizabeth Lombard: Their baking/cooking classes are INCREDIBLE. I’ve taken two now, and the instructors are so knowledgeable and skilled, but also adept at explaining complex techniques to inexperienced bakers like myself. I always end up buying some of their products in the store, and the staff always have fantastic recommendations and really know their stuff.
Shawna Gerry: Received a date night cooking class from my daughter for Xmas! We had a blast! We had booked two more classes, but they were canceled because of a kitchen emergency. We were refunded for them.
Marjory Luther: Unable to reach by phone
Skylar Ross: If there was a cliff, I would have jumped.By far the biggest disappointment of the holidays. Started off with walking around the store with my wife waiting for the date night “cooking class”. Not a single employee said anything until we brought up we were there for a cooking class. That was about 15-20 min after entering. Once the class started Phil the “chef” lead off with slander towards my profession. Great first impression. My wife and I figured we would brush it off and move on. As the class went on, we soon learned this was not a date night cooking class, more like a commune cooking class. Combined all the potatoes everyone cut into one pan. Instead of duck fat, we used olive oil. We were assigned to cut a shallot, apparently the shallot we chopped wasn’t needed…. So why did we cut and waste food?!? About 45 minutes in we begin with the steak…. Our cooking partners next to us were going to cook our steak because there wasn’t enough cooking stations…… we were floored. I walked out and spoke with the manager and was in total disbelief at what we had just gone through. We left and went to shake shack across the street. Phenomenal!Chef Phil was very unprepared, now you know why he has bounced around from job to job and state to state. To bad he doesn’t have my profession….
Tayler Swinson: BY FAR the best store attitude & customer service! Dory was extremely patient with me as I asked her 1,000,001 questions about their Jura specialty coffee makers. She was even so kind to me that she walked my purchase out to my car. Talk about customer service! If you want anything for your kitchen this is the store to go to
Carol Parent: Very fun Macaron class

Faramarz F: Best bread..... highest quality ingredients.... worth every penny!!!
Brandon LaVictor: This place is a icon in Ann Arbor and known by all those who are not a local due to their incredible offerings. If there is a line, it moves fast, and goodness this place does not disappoint in taste, texture and satisfaction.

Eddie Smith: Delicious breads, pastries, and baked goods, with staff who are always down to earth and truly care about the customer experience. We've shopped here dozens of times since moving up here to Ann Arbor, and every experience had been great. Some of our favorite breads include the Roadhouse, Farmhouse, Onion Rye, and Dinkelbrot.

Penny Zee: Zingermans businesses are truly a staple in Ann Arbor. I admire the business owners ability to leverage the unique city and culture to maintain the momentum of what's become a unique, long-standing business.I don't eat a lot of sweets but highly recommend any lovers of sweets and baked goods make the trek here. Great job Zingermans!
The Pazyamors: Very creative and delicious offerings. Very cognizant of food and health safety. A favorite is the farm loaf-perfect crust with soft inside, great chew-versatile for sandwiches, toast or just tearing away pieces to snack on or as a side to a meal.. Other baked goods enjoyed include cupcakes, cakes, bagels, pastries and pies. All ingredients chosen thoughtfully for the best flavor, supporting local farms and artisans.
Delaney Fedewa: They do not have any sandwiches made with gluten-free bread, unfortunately. Although, I did see they had gluten-free bread on their menu.
Craig Pfeifer: Delicious baked goods, hot coffee, ready made sandwiches and salads. Plenty of seating indoors/outdoors, and friendly staff.

Baker's Nook LLC: what do users think?
Stacia Zellner: Love the employees and the fact that you can get a sweet treat as well as something to eat while you are there.
katrina durr: When I walked in, the workers behind the counter seen me, didn't speak, or asked if I needed help. Even when I walked out they look at me and continued their conversation. Very disappointing, because I heard great things about this place from a few friends of mine.
sulalita chaki: We recently had a sheet cake for our daughter's birthday party - we chose whipped cream topping on a half and half strawberry and chocolate cake and it was a big hit. I am picky about when it comes to dessert and do not like too sweet icing on the cakes and thus went with whipped cream option. We were doubtful how it would turn out since it was our first venture with Baker's nook - they fulfilled our expectations more than we expected for. It was truly amazingly nice and everybody including the birthday gild, loved it. The cake was soft, moist, optimally sweet and the cream was soft and delicious. The decoration was nice as we chose for. People in the store taking orders and assisting us were very polite and knew what they were offering to us. The sheet cake was so big that we were able to offer takeaways, took portion home even after feeding 50 people. And it was not sky mounting expensive too as you get to find in the named brands. The Class and quality excelled. Baker's nook is our staple "sweet" place for sure.
Jim Vitek: Quality makes this place worth a drive. Donuts are the best in the greater Ann Arbor area.
Michael St.John: Excellent doughnuts! Highly recommend!
Chris Green: First time coming here, I've always past this place so many times, I googled this place, do I had to come check it out, glad I did, I was looking for red velvet color flavoring, which was a bonus, your place had it, and thank you for having it, looking forward to using it for Christmas when I make funnel cakes for dessert, looking forward coming back again,
Katherine Morris: Our son’s birthday party was today, and the cake was the highlight! Baker’s Nook made a large cake that looked exactly like a cheese burger, absolutely beautiful, and the taste was incredible! Thank you for making his birthday extra special!
Remy Rincher: We ordered a cake from Baker's Nook for my kiddos birthday this past Saturday and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff listened to all of our requests and put together a beautiful and tasty cake! It was also affordable. Thank you, thank you!
J B Moore: Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, awesome foods and amazing selection of supplies. Awesome shoppe!
Chris Lavery: Fantastic crew here. Stopped in for donuts and wow what a selection. Will start making this a regular weekend spot!
Shawn S: Cool little place, good donuts, and the portioned meals are excellent.
christine stockwell: Great variety of baking/bakery supplies, have not once been impressed with customer service.
Melissa Tippens: Staff at Baker's Nook is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, consistently over years of visits. Their selection on candy making, icing, desert decorating and baking is the best anywhere in this area.Baker's Nook food offerings make them a dangerous place to visit. Fantastic donuts, cookies and croissants. I got a ham and cheddar croissant today that was superb. Haven't tried their cakes because I like my delusions about the quality of my own, but the decorating I've seen is gorgeous.
wick in time: Always a great small business- expensive but great.
Jeff March: Good donuts Good people friendly service
Dawn Escott: I love ❤ this place. So helpful, and such a great selection.
Angela Hoops-Cossey: Great place! Just sent suggestion to Google maps to update hours. I stopped here on a Monday because Google maps had the hours as open and they are closed on Mondays, Sundays too.
Allyssa Allor: I'm so excited to live near a cake decorating supply store! Everyone in the shop was super friendly, and I can't wait to go back. 🙂
Geneva Langeland: Baker's Nook did a fabulous job with the sheet cake for my colleague's recent retirement party! It was easy to place the order over the phone, and they created a fabulous beach/scuba-diving scene on the top (complete with air tanks and a shark fin). I'd definitely recommend them for any future cake needs!
Keri Norris: Incredible food and wonderful people, always.
Mindy Delbo: Lots of sauce good cheese.very good pizza! Friendly service! Fast too..!

The Kitchen Loft: what do users think?
Kevin Miller: Friendly staff, variety of items
Jess Liang: I was thrilled about the variety of items, especially the cute aprons. It felt like a Williams-Sonoma, but more approachable. One star off because I had a Visa rewards card with $20 and for whatever reason, the shop's system would not take it (the clerk was kind enough to tell me, "it's not your card, it's us"). I was told that management is aware of the problem but hadn't been getting to it, which is disappointing. I hope that gets rectified sooner rather than later. I'd really been hoping to use it for this shop.EDIT: I've noted the response from the shop below, and FWIW, my card had been activated and I knew the balance. I don't know whether or not that's a good data point, but it might help when troubleshooting.
Madeline Dahl: I am so thrilled Ann Arbor has a locally owned small business like this! We needed a good kitchen store and this absolutely fits the bill. I’m impressed with how much they fit into their small space. All of the essentials for the dedicated home cook and some delightful non-essentials too. This will be my go-to from now on.
Donna Lahiff: The Kitchen Loft is a very fun place to shop. The variety is awesome. I was pleased to find exactly what I was looking for, too - clear ramekins. I have looked high and low in big box stores with no luck so kudos to The Kitchen Loft. I happened to drop in the weekend before Christmas and the sales associates were very calm, helpful, efficient and so personable, too. I will return.
Bridget Vis: This is a great new store in Kerrytown! I found almost all of my holiday gifts here. The staff was super helpful and very friendly (I'm in a boot and they went above and beyond to make sure I didn't have to walk or carry too much around the store). I was able to find a lot of unique items and many made locally or in Michigan. I would highly recommend checking them out and supporting the new shop!

Bakehouse 46: what do users think?
Gayle Fick: This was the perfect break after Literati bookstore. The cupcakes were beautiful and delicious. They even gave my daughter one of their adorable mini ones for it being her birthday
Diana: Great carrots cake cupcakes and cheese cake bars. Definitely recommend!
Katelynn Gorsuch: Great variety!
Ivy Wei: Bakehouse 46 is incredible. For gender reveal they quickly churned out 4 cupcakes for us. When our cat tore into the last one they gave us another for free. Thank you Bakehouse 46 for making our celebration so fun and for being such great supporters of our party.
Kiel VanTiem: Every time I have been at this location, it has been an absolute delight.
JJ McGillicutty: Perfect Cupcakes! My dog also loves their 'pupcakes' :)
Glenn Carlson: Awesome bakery
Deb Gru: Not for us. Banana pudding is made with cool whip- no pudding. Cupcakes are not fresh but there is a great variety. Cream cheese frosting on the carrot cake cupcake was awesome! Cheesecake bar was not what was expected- didn’t finish it. Place was busy. There is a bench seat with 3 sm tables and a few chairs and a small bar against the the front window. Quality wasn’t worth the money in our opinion. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Amy Courtney: One of the best cake donuts I’ve ever had. Sooo good.
Kaia H: Yess, their cupcakes and bagel sandwiches are delicious, but their customer service is terrible! This is the third time I've walked in at noon on a Wednesday to get cupcakes for my afternoon team meeting, and the staff doesn't acknowledge you or say, " I'll be there." They continued doing other tasks while I stood there for five minutes, and once again, I walked out and when to Cinnaholic.
Maddy K.: I come here often, but I was so disappointed today by the bad hygiene. I ordered a bagel, and the man who toasted my bagel was literally cleaning/sweeping the floor and without washing his hands or changing his gloves after cleaning, he touched my bagel with the same gloves and put cream cheese on it. I was so lost for words that I came out without saying anything, but I had to throw out the bagel. I’ve ordered bagels or bagel sammies often here (as well as cupcakes and donuts), but never paid that close attention to the kitchen until today. Please train the employees properly about hygiene practices and not touching anything dirty while preparing food. I probably won’t be returning anytime soon after this experience.
Ashwin Vivekanandan: Great cupcakes and donuts
Jane Haun: Delicious baked goods, excellent service. Highly recommend
Zach Wilkinson: Item value is less apparent when gotten to-go. So, in-shoppe experience might help satisfy.
Janalee Robinson: Welcoming atmosphere, you’ll never walk out grumpy!
Denny S: Save yourself go any where but here almost $5.00 for a plan cupcakes.
Blake Webb: Sandwiches were great, cupcakes were wonderful our kids love them.
Aremmy Di: I loved the apple cider (cutting down on caffeine), but tasted a sip of the coffee and has great taste. The donuts are addictive, so glad it’s quite a drive to get there.
David Goodman: Price point high on cupcake: too much frosting but quality cake portion.
Holly Burks: Really disappointed with the Ann Arbor location. I got a BLT on a hard and stale bagel with floppy bacon. Won’t be back. At least the cider is still pretty good
