JEAN England: You need to hire people that look professional not made up like a clown. Where you don't even want to shop or look at them.
Jes Giuseppe: The girl with red chin length hair was rude and dismissive. Seemed stoned and was cussing like she was one of my buddies and she didn't help with anything. She left me in the middle of helping to ring up a customer and ended up talking with her about nothing for 15 minutes while I waited and then she came back and asked if I needed help and said oh yeah, I don't think you should do anything to your hair as if she were a licensed hair dresser,which im sure she is not as she seemed to be about 17 and didn't know any products. And was off in lala Land. Need to hire people that know what they are talking about. If I could give a zero I would. Boo👎

Amelia Chapman: For a small store it has a wide range of products! There was a very sweet young person working when I went in. They were checking out another customer and it was just me and one other customer in the store. The employee asked both of us if we needed anything on their way to the back room to grab a drink of water. The other customer in the store called the employee up to check her out and then proceeded to rip into the employee for charging her for a bag (store policy) and for not asking her specifically if she needed help. No excuse for being a bully! If the employee sees this, I hope you had a great rest of your day!

Lexie Rautenberg: I’ve been to a bunch of different Sally’s and it’s pretty much the same everywhere you go but this was the first one I didn’t feel surrounded by pretentious workers. They greeted me when I came in, they weren’t overbearing when the one with the blonde ish space buns checked on me she got the point I didn’t really wanna talk to anyone and politely walked away and I cannot tell you how obnoxious it is, as I’m sure most people know, to be followed and constantly “checked on” by employees so I was pleasantly surprised how relaxed the atmosphere was. The lady at the check out stand was the nicest person I’ve ever met at a Sally’s and I’ve been a customer for a little over a decade now and she was really knowledgeable and came off very genuine in her demeanor. Not insulting the other Sally’s, yknow if you need salon stuff it’s still a solid place to go but this Sally’s in particular was definitely the best experience I’ve had around fellow hair people. Patrice (super sorry if I spelled the name wrong) was who checked me out, just wanted to call her out in particular. She didn’t have to be as nice as she was but she still did it and I really appreciate it.If other people had bad experiences here they were more than likely just in a bad mood because I have nothing negative to say. abla shami: Friends and family do not patronize this beauty supply shop at 4864 Washtenaw in Ann Arbor. I was in for the first time and the guy behind the counter was so rude to a customer. He yelled at her when she said she couldn't find the product. He said " It's right there in front of your eyes". She came to the counter and told him "You didn't have to be so rude. Could have walked out and helped me find it, and didn't have to be rude." He answered "I don't care. You have me attitude so I gave it back. Go shop some where else. I don't care if you are black. I ain't scared." She threw the product on the counter and gave him some choice words before leaving. It's obvious this business could care less about It's customers. I won't be back.

Douglas Stewart: I am a hairdresser of 37 years and frequent many Cosmoprof stores all over Michigan and Ohio. ( Also Armstrong McCall in Florida and Alabama ) Yesterday, about an hour before closing, I entered the Carpenter road Ypsilanti, Michigan store and had the best service I can remember. Granted, I have rarely had anything BUT exceptional service at BSG stores throughout the years, but CONNIE ~ apparently a newer employee ~ hit the mark big time. Informative, passionate, and very patient for this being the final hour of the business day on a Friday. ( Or any other time!) I cannot say enough. It was the highlight of my week to talk to a fellow stylist and a kind, smart, and engaging one at that. Listening in public service is a rarity, but this lovely woman has it down. What an absolute treat. I would love to have contact information for her district manager or otherwise. I hope they know what a treasure of an employee they have.Thank you.~ Doug Stewart

I live in Howell so I would prefer to go to Ann Arbor because that’s only 22 miles away, but it looks like I’ll be taking a drive to Livonia. When I worked in Plymouth, going to the Livonia store was easy, it was on my way to work. Now that I only work in Brighton, Ann Arbor is the closest. But, I need the A2 store to, enlarge and carry more products before I return.Staff was friendly, no problems for me. When I did go, (1 time). In November 2017.
Victoria Dennis: I go to salon centric with my hairdresser so I can pick the colors with my own eyes to know what I'm getting. This location is always helpful and very accommodating. They give good alternatives if a certain color is out of stock for a brand. And they have no problem calling another store to hold product if they are out. I've seen some 1 stars here complaining about how small the store is. They cant help that. It's in a strip mall and they do the best with the space they have. The least you could do is give 3 stars if that's your only complaint. The staff is helpful and ready to answer questions.

They take waaayyy to long with their FAVORITE customers at check out and never consider telling the others in line that are waiting forever, that they'll be right with them. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE..Another thing I learned today while standing in line for 23 minutes and only two ppl in front of me who were actually together, was that you ONLY get a certain spending limit in here. The woman in front of me did had that problem so she began to return items only Madison the cashier, didn't know how to do this process. So she proceeded to call her manager for help.😡🔥😳

Joseph Vega: Honestly I have been to many ultas. I’ve never felt uncomfortable until I came to this one. There was an older lady working today. There is a difference between asking if a customer needs help and then asking so that you can remind me/the customer that you are watching. She asked if we needed help with such an irritated way. I said “no we are just looking around.” She then continued to stand about 5 feet from us and did not move. If her goal was to make us feel uncomfortable so that we would leave it did work. There were multiple other people there that she could ask but she only pointed us out. Instead of asking others she stood there making us uncomfortable. She then left to talk to another employee and did not ask or attempt to ask other customers. I very much know that this was a problem and I have never had this happen in any other ulta. I hope that the store makes the workers aware of there negative actions. From what I see I am not the only one who has experienced this from the reviews.

Jessica Spencer: This is my go-to Ulta because they have the best stylist ever, Cara! She has been cutting and styling our families hair for years. She is just as good at mens and women's hair. She can replicate any picture you give her. Cara is also the nicest person ever! As for the store it is a good store they are usually well stocked for the most part. When they do run out they are pretty quick at getting it back in.

Ashonte Pryor: Had an appointment at 3:00 pm because I wanted to get my eyebrows waxed, however when I arrived the lady told me that I needed to wait 20 minutes until she was finished with another lady hair. I said no problem as long as it’s not longer than 20 minutes because I have another appointment next door at four. Then she proceeded to say well I’m not sure, but you can come back after your appointment as if my time isn’t valuable. Remind you the first appointment I scheduled with these people they canceled the day of, so I was trying to give them another chance, however they failed again. Also, the lady that was to be doing my eyebrows never greeted me. Very unprofessional and will not be shopping at Ultra beauty nor will I be getting any other services at that location, Sephora would never.

Madyson Weaver: I usually love this store and location but it seems like they’ve been hiring rude people. I regularly buy Truly Beauty products and know the difficulties scanning, so I take note of the price to show the cashier. Her name started with a B (Basmah? Bana?) and maybe she was of another ethnicity but she kept cutting me off when I was talking, threw my receipts at me twice and didn’t appear to want my assistance with the Truly Beauty product. I work in customer service but I don’t need to be subjected to rudeness and unprofessional Jen. Poor quality service and treatment of customers, so my visits here will be limited.
Lisa Edwards: Alesia was exceptional and I and my niece enjoyed our time with her. My niece told me of her wonderful experience there at Ulta and highly recommended the store. Alesia was so very patient and kind and to me, she is everything that is right about customer service. However, the other employee, not so much. She came over grabbed up the stuff I was going to buy and wanted to take the items up to the checkout counter as though to rush us along and out of the store. So rude and so ignorant. My niece and I ended not purchasing anything because of the poor treatment. I spoke to the Manager and she seemed heartbroken over the situation. I have worked in Customer service for years. Marieta Petkova: Had an appointment booked at the Ulta salon for a haircut. Called to reschedule. After 3 days of trying to reach someone at the salon, I spoke with a cashier. She transferred the call to the salon where someone finally picked up the phone and helped me move my appointment for a later time. At the day of my appointment, SURPRISE, I am not on the schedule. They can't do anything to help me. I have schedule professional photo shot for a business profile but who cares? Obviously no one at Ulta.
Jennifer Smalenberg: It’s an ok Ulta. Staff can be rude and snippy at times. I don’t think they realize they don’t communicate in a respectful manner. I was helped by Kristen, she did find solutions to my sought out question. Though she came off as fairly rude during one of our interactions. Overall, I do not appreciate the snippy comments made by the staff. If you want adequate customer service I suggest supporting another Ulta.

Asking and offering customers reward cards or credit cards are apparently not enough anymore. Now big corporations, including Ulta of course, are asking for email addresses to send you a receipt, a phone number for exchanges, an address just in case if they need to ship you an item when they don't have it in store, date of birth for whatever reason and of course your full name. The only thing that lady at the counter didn't ask me for was my social security number. This is horrible. The only reason I came in was to buy some foundation but I felt like I was being interegated. I understand that sales people are pressured to do that, so it is not their falt. I am just tired of this whole game of desperate attemps to keep customers.

Stefanie Spivak-Birndorf: I started having trouble with acne a few years ago (I’m 37 😏). I’ve been to a dermatologist and have tried numerous products (wasting so much money) and my skin had not improved. I finally decided to go to Lily Grace and try the Darphin Deep Soothing Facial. It was my first facial ever - although I am not new to spa treatments in general - and Zachary went above and beyond. It hasn’t even been a week and already the products he suggested (and the ones he suggested I STOP using) have just about smoothed out the redness and acne problems I’ve lived with for years now. Highly recommend. I’ll be going back next month. Thank you Zachary! See you soon!

Dana Czekaj: I had the Tata Harper Brightening facial done by Erica and it was fabulous. She is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to skin types and tailoring the facial to meet your needs. It was very relaxing and I left with a glowing complexion. Now three days later, I can see a difference in the texture of my skin as well as its clarity. Highly recommend if in the Ann Arbor area!

Linda Anton Olshefsky: Was in town on game day and went a little nuts in this store! Really lovely place, very well curated items and the owner is hands on and so nice. Her staff is just as knowledgeable as she is. I am really enjoying the products I bought. One thing I love is this Silver finishing mist for my hair. I think it is from Spain, and it comes in Gold too. Really ads luster to my silver hair! I could have bought lots more, but I stopped myself.
Jack Lorraine: Cindy and her team are lovely people. They really get to know you and your needs and it’s a convenient location on Main Street in Downtown Ann Arbor. Great place for skin products, and if you need help picking something out for your significant other they will find you exactly what’s necessary!

Carolyn Harvey: I cannot say enough wonderful things about Lily Grace! Jena did my wedding hair and Heidi my wedding make-up and they far exceeded my expectations! I called Lily Grace last minute and they were able to accommodate my on-site wedding needs. Jena walked me through the hair extensions process, found me a PERFECT color match, and did a practice run right before my rehearsal dinner, so that I could enjoy the extensions at the Rehearsal AND the wedding. Heidi did my make-up and my mom's make-up and it stayed on all day (even in 90 degree weather).I've never had make-up look that good before! It was light and didn't feel like I was wearing anything on my face. They were such a joy to work with and be around - EVERYONE talked about how beautiful my make-up and hair was! Jena's hair style was PERFECT and stayed in place as I actively danced the night away! Both Jena and Heidi were focused on giving me what I want and need, were so calm and accommodating, and honestly, so fun to have with me as I got ready for my wedding. I would highly recommend these two!

Cindy and her staff were very welcoming, helpful and extremely knowledgeable of their product lines. There's a spa in the basement that I will look forward to sending my wife to. The service here was just fantastic. There was no pushing toward products and we were given a number of free samples. There was genuine concern for our needs and that went a long way.

Alexandra 1111: PLEASE DON’T SHOP HERE!!! If I could give no stars I would. I went in with my daughters to get braiding supplies and a few other hair products. After being trailed around the store from a distance the entire time. While I was up front my 13 year old was looking at key chains the owner runs over and gets up close to her and stands arms folded to watch her as if she is going to be stealing. I’m not giving my money to anyone that treats my children or myself with disrespect. I will not be followed throughout the store or have my child harassed over Alibaba trinkets. This was definitely race related as she didn’t bother to follow the white woman shopping or fold her arms and intently stare at her while she looked at small items. There are other beauty supplies in the area that treat black customers with respect, I encourage you patronize ANY of them. Don’t spend your hard earned money here.

justice: Horrible, depressing experience. I bought a wig from this shop and was told it was a 360 wig. When i got home and tried to apply it, i quickly realized it was NOT. I was so so sad because I have alopecia and really need these for protection from sun, society, and my own insecurities. The owner acted like she knew what she was doing and even helped me "cut the lace." yay.

Angamazin m: I was so happy to find this place today. They have a little bit of everything supply related. They have an amazing supply of wigs, from bottom end cheap wigs to top of the line human hair. The owner does follow you around, which is expected in the area. (Even walmart had to close right there, that says something.) I found it helpful because any time I had a question she was close by to answer it, which is how I realized there were so many diff types of wigs. Also, anyone upset there are no public restrooms..probably should of stopped somewhere on the way in. Lack of planning on a customers part should not negate a stores reviews. Trying on wigs? Yuck! If you want a wig that fits perfect go to a true wig boutique that makes them for you.
Cindy neblett: Drove a long way, and they sent me to Duncan Doughnuts to use the restroom. I couldn’t try on any of the wigs, so you have a 50/50 chance that when you get home and try it on it will look good on you. Mine did not.

MsE: Didn't like my experience there so I never went back. I walked in and something told me to turn around and the black guy was leaning against the counter watching me. It's sad how they have the token black to watch their black customers just get cameras if you're that worried. I refuse to spend my money with them and I made sure to tell my family and friends not to spend their money with them.

Johsai: my friend had an extremely poor experience. an asian woman and a black man followed them around the store bc apparently they were “taking too long” when in reality they were simply browsing. which is what most people do in stores.. they spoke to each other asking what was taking me so long and what my problem was. after a while they simply left bc there was no reason for them to be treated that way. next time say there’s a time limit to be in your store of you don’t want people to spend their money in your establishment. don’t ask for black dollars if you’re going to treat black people this way.
renee evans: I purchased a wig from them on March 20, The wig that was on the mannequin was beautiful...The store attendant went to the back and got me a wig that was in a packaged she said she couldn’t open it and I couldn’t try it on...I understand that because of Covid : however when I got the wig home it look like a Birdsnest it was matted and shedding ...I wasn’t able to wear it to the event that I was going to that night...I had to go to another store and purchase a different wig....I Thought I could return it :but I looked at the receipt it said no refunds these people are cheating us out of our money and they don’t deserve our business.
