Ann Arbor Bed & Breakfast Inn @ Rackham Gardens: what do users think?
Clarke Wells: Really great place to stay! Comfortable and very accommodating!
Savannah Schuring: Pros: Cute building, close to downtown, safe door-locking featuresCons: No responses during stay from owners after calling and texting for help, air conditioning didn't work well so room was quite warm, bed caved in and was uncomfortable, breakfast was bagels granola and cereal - different from traditional breakfasts at other bed and breakfasts I've stayed at before. Anytime I mentioned any of these things to the owner she said "No one's ever said that before" and "That shouldn't happen I'm sure it's fine" with no additional follow up or help. We won't stay here again.
Ahmed: Not worth the stay-Stay elsewhere.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Top Reviewer: There is a fine line between eclectic and cluttered design. I found all areas very cluttered and didn't feel roomy or comfortable. This clutter is also hard to keep clean and it shows.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Denise Hanna: Great location - interesting place to visit.
Laurena Lacroix: high prices for overnight stay
Christie Schulz: Cute, cozy, and eclectic. Loved our overnight stay here! Pat and the staff were so nice, and we were close to everything.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Sunil Lall: Wonderful alternative from the mainstream. Homely and clean.
Donald Montgomery: so much love this inn
Juan Alberto Estrada García: An excellent service and place! The location could not be better and the hosts are just wonderful. A must visit place in town.
Eric: The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious, with great amenities (fridge, microwave, snacks, tea, etc). Morning breakfast was plentiful. And the scenery/decor both inside and out makes it such an interesting place to stay.Pat was such a gracious host and made sure that we had everything we needed. She was very accommodating to us and made our stay as smooth as we could have wanted it to be. She is so genuine and we learned a lot abut the history of the building - She has a book for sale that she wrote about her experiences running the B&B, which we ended up buying as well.Overall, if you want a central location with great comfort and, most importantly, great people running the show, I highly encourage Ann Arbor Bed & Breakfast. We will definitely try to be back in the future.
Holden Ranz: This B&B is excellent, eclectic, fun, and very accommodating!! 5 stars doesn't cut it, the owner went above and beyond make sure we had a great stay. I stayed here with my fiancee and friend and thoroughly enjoyed talking with Pat and her other guests and meeting her adorable pup Russ. Definitely look forward to staying here again the next time we return to Ann Arbor!
Furious George: Great B&B!
Amanda Williams: This place doesn't even deserve one start. Booked a reservation online 2 days in advance. I get sent confirmation on how to obtain keys and when to enter building. No key in mailbox as it stated. The woman rented out my loft room that I reserved online days ago. Said she didn't pay attention to the name and gave the room to some other young lady. Went to another room and said "well, here is your room. It isn't the loft size, it is smaller but it will do. I'll give it to you for a discount". A discount? It was not even a quarter of the size as the one I booked online, the room that they took their money out of my bank account Did nothing to solve the problem. Said they refunded my money but I still don't see it. I didn't even have the money to book another room because it was booked through 3rd party. Woman smelt like alcohol. Worst experiance ever.
mark saputo: This place doesn't deserve any stars. Booked a reservation online. Went to check-in and the woman rented that room to someone else. It was a loft, a full sized kitchen private balcony. She then tried to give me a super tiny room after a mistake she made and said " well here is your room, it's not a loft, well, it's a bit smaller and I'll give it to you at a discount."A discount, no. The room was small as hell. They did nothing to try to correct the issue.
Liane Pyper: I absolutely adored this place! Pat was very kind, and great to work with regarding accommodations. Bummed my trip didn't allow me to stay for breakfast, but I look forward to it next time!
Ace steensma: It was so amazing and the rooms and the view were so nice. I felt right at home. Ps. I do belong to the lgbtqia+ community and they were very friendly to me if anyone was worried about thatRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Willow Armstrong: Upon arrival was refused entry and then charged for the night regardless. Unable to contact them.Does not seem like a real business. Very uncomfortable and creepy. Many of the other reviews seem to be fake. I'd legitimately watch out on this one, something doesn't seem safe.If they took advantage of you and charged you, dispute it with your bank, you never received services, Dont let them scam you too!
Rodrigo García de Loera: Un excelente lugar , el cuarto súper cómodo , el host súper amable y el desayuno de 10 . Recomendable

Stone Chalet Bed and Breakfast Inn and Event Center: what do users think?
Kathy Ryan: The Stone Chalet has become our newest FABULOUS spot to stay while visiting Ann Arbor! The owners and staff are so attentive and kind. Fast responses, delicious breakfast prepared and served on time, room immaculate with a fire awaiting our arrival, the comforts of home, all served up with kindness and care. Stone Chalet is only six minutes away from University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center, which is extremely convenient during our weekly visits. We highly recommend using Stone Chalet as your #1 go-to place to stay when visiting Ann Arbor!Rooms: The rooms are wonderfully decorated in themes that are not cheesy. They bring back memories of the wonderful books we read in our youth, so sweet. We prefer the Ada (Hobbit), Courtyard (Alice in Wonderland) and Ramparts (Peter Pan).
Pauline Jones: Other guests were inconsiderate and let their children run up and down the stairs after 10 making lots of noise. Otherwise I had a wonderful stay!Rooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Jay Johnson: We were in Ann Arbor for a grandson's high school graduation. The location was perfect, just a few blocks from his home. Service was top-notch. We stayed in the Hobbit Hole room, which was richly appointed with a comfortable bed and bath and all sorts of Tolkien memorabilia. The owners, Vincent and Daisy greeted us when we arrived and made sure we were comfortable.

Diane Aurelius: Rooms: I stayed in the kings, grand room, otherwise known as the Game of Thrones room, and found it to be large, luxurious, and the furnishings were beautifulSafety: We were there with family, and often times left our rooms unlocked and felt completely safe doing so.Walkability: One can walk into town in just a few minutes. Their walking path, the whole way and along the way lovely homes, trees, and parts of the campus housing to view.

Ina: Great great location, clean, interesting room themes and decorations, amazing patio. Great friendly people in all services. Very laid back atmosphere and very relaxingWe had our 2 years old daughter with us and everything was so accommodating.Rooms: Clean and beautiful roomsNearby activities: Playgrounds 15 min away -Walkability: 15 min walk to shops and downtown Ann Harbor
David Hutton: Stayed in the Lord of the Rings themed room (Aba’s room), great breakfast, got a tour of all the other themed rooms, great hosts!
Steve Stockford: I surprised my wife on a Tuesday night for our anniversary and couldn’t have picked a better location. Close to downtown where we met friends for dinner, elegant themed room, and a breakfast that was fantastic!Communication was great, I received numerous texts and emails to make sure our stay was nothing less than excellent.Bringing your significant other? Definitely go for the romance package. I’d recommend the chocolate cake and cheesecake combo. The flower arrangement was superb and my wife actually thinks I had something to do with it. What could be better?Weather was terrible when we were there so we didn’t explore much of the grounds but what we saw was well maintained, and being a bit of a horticulturist myself, I was impressed with what I saw in our short time.I highly recommend a stay, I wish we would have had more time here.
Susanne Oakley: Wonderful venue-we had a VERY enjoyable stay, and breakfast was OUT OF THE BALLPARK DELICIOUS!!!Noteworthy details: The rooms were AWESOME!!!!!
Adam Lesnick: We stayed here for Graduation weekend and had a wonderful stay. Our room was the courtyard / Alice In wonderland suite. It was a nice size room, very comfortable and had a king bed and a twin for my Daughter. We loved the decor as well. My 11 year old Daughter enjoyed looking around at all the “enchanted “ decor throughout the inn. It’s a new concept and a great idea. We can’t wait to do a scavenger hunt out next visit. Maybe we will stay in the Potter suite next time !The Breakfast was really great and so tasty. They went above and beyond. I recommend this great located inn.
Tom Kohut: Rooms: All unique and interesting and nice sizeNearby activities: Walk or quick drive to UMich, including the sports venuesFood & drinks: Excellent breakfast quality, selection and service
Lan Trinh: This is my 2nd visit - Stone Chalet will be my go-to B&B when visiting Ann Arbor.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Angela Hunter: This was the first time I stayed at a Bed and Breakfast and it was a lovely experience. I wanted to do something nice for my anniversary with my fiance and instead of going for a plain old hotel I wanted to do something we have never done before, so we chose the Stone Chalet. It's a super cute property and it was nice and quiet while we were there. We stayed in the Parsonage building in the Provincial room, which was Encanto themed. I enjoyed the atmosphere and all of the cute little knick-knacks. The bed and pillows were super comfy. The bathroom was very clean and I appreciated that they had everything we needed for toiletries, including shampoos and conditioners. The breakfast was delicious and the service was great. They had so many options to choose from. They brought me a whole box of tea to choose from when I ordered hot tea with my food. I had the French toast with cinnamon apples, bacon, mushroom and spinach saute, and some cottage cheese. I have no idea how they made the French toast but it was AMAZING. It was so moist and fluffy. I had to have it again for the next day's breakfast. Same goes for the mushroom and spinach saute, it was so yummy. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I hope to come back sometime soon!
Sharie Kellner: Rooms: Nice size, with beautiful window and very comfortable bed!Walkability: We were able to walk everywhere we wanted.Food & drinks: We were running a 5k so didn’t get to have the full breakfast, but the items we had were really good (wonderful fresh fruit and good yogurt and granola, unique juices). They also served us early to accommodate our schedule!

Baxter House Bed and Breakfast: what do users think?
Wendy Liu: My mom stayed here for 5 days to celebrate my graduation. She absolutely loved loved loved the experience, and preferred it vastly over hotels. It was a beautiful home with cozy rooms and a very deep bathtub. The breakfast was absolutely to die for and we had many things that I would like to make again myself.Kathleen herself is a lovely, friendly and welcoming host who knew Ann Arbor inside out. I 100% recommend her bed and breakfast to anyone visiting Ann Arbor, it’s a fantastic experience.
Mary Jankowski: Each and every five star review here is so very true! Kathleen goes above and beyond. She is so incredibly intelligent and interesting, and an amazing cook! Her home is unique and delightful! I highly recommend Baxter House B And B for your stay in Ann Arbor!!!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Ilene Beninson: Baxter house is a Perfect Location! It's a 3-5 minute walk to Kerrytown, Farmers Market, Zingermans Grocery/Deli, Hands on Museum, Hill Auditorium, movie theaters, and more. Kathleen is an extraordinarily amazing cook! The home is clean, with a 'cozy' feel to it, despite its size. I highly recommend Baxter House to anyone needing a place to stay in Ann Arbor!
Andrea Kaji: My partner and I rang in the new year with Kathleen and we had the best time! We were so happy to have a wonderful host and had such a comfortable stay while in Ann Arbor. The food was EXCELLENT and were greeted with the upmost hospitality. I hope to stay here again. Five stars all the way!!
Sarah Montross: I was in Ann Arbor for a weekend, traveling solo. I had to be up early for the event I was in town for both Saturday and Sunday. Before I arrived, Kathleen was so helpful with travel details and information about Ann Arbor. Once I arrived, I knew we would be fast friends. My room was quiet and tucked upstairs. I slept so well! The location is perfect, near Kerrytown restaurants and the farmer's market, but an easy walk to downtown too. The best part of Baxter House is certainly Kathleen. She is charming, friendly, accommodating, and an EXCELLENT cook. My breakfasts were so delicious, and we chatted the whole time about our love of cooking and baking. She's also available for any advice about your visit, whenever you need it. Kathleen even got up early to make me breakfast before anyone else. I highly recommend Baxter House if you are looking for a home away from home and want to feel cosy and well looked-after.
Ran Gazit: Great experience at Baxter house. Beautifullly renovated, very clean and comfortable. Few minutes walk from nature (cascades) and downtown (farmers market, restaurants). Kathleen was sweet and caring, giving home-away-from-home feeling, with specially made breakfasts. Attic room had great canopy view from private balcony.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jamie Jones: I had a lovely stay at the Baxter House. The Sunset Room was very clean with a comfortable bed and great bathroom/shower. Kathleen's breakfasts were healthy and hearty. The house is a short walk to a trail along the river and Kerrytown, where I enjoyed Zingerman's Deli.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Benji Sinclair: Our four night stay at Baxter House in mid-April was outstanding. Kathleen is so thoughtful, thorough, and generous; we were treated like royalty. Still on our honeymoon, we repeatedly showed up for breakfast 2 hours after the other guests, but Kathleen cheerfully accommodated us every time, and she is a great conversationalist! Her breakfasts were heavenly, and she would've made us lunch if we'd needed it. It was immaculate, cozy, and bright. For hikers or naturalists, the location of this B & B is exceptional. There are 26 wooded Community Natural Areas with established trails within 2.5 miles, and 3 of them are within a mile. Great for birders! Having historic Kerrytown in the heart of Ann Arbor just a few blocks away is another bonus. We cannot recommend the Baxter House highly enough; we'll be back!Benji and LizaJackson, WYApril, 2022
Stephen Osborn: Kathleen is a fantastic host and the house is a wonderful spot to stay within walking distance of downtown Ann Arbor! Kathleen makes a delicious, healthy breakfast that is tailored to your needs and sets you up for a fulfilling stay. She recommends fun events happening each day and helps you find the perfect lunch and dinner spot. I'll definitely be returning on my next visit to Ann Arbor
Erin J. Schwab: Beautiful house, wonderfully helpful and friendly host, outstanding food, quiet and safe neighborhood, and walking distance to downtown Ann Arbor. Would definitely recommend this to a friend and hope to return!
John P.: The Baxter House is our home away from home when we’re visiting family in Ann Arbor. Kathleen is the most thoughtful and accommodating innkeeper and creates breakfasts that are equal parts unique and delicious. The house features an architecturally inspired exterior that opens to interior rooms that are warm, welcoming and contemporary. The location is a short walk from Kerrytown and all great food, shops and festivals that make Ann Arbor a great place to visit.
Joan Kauffman: I hosted a 70th Birthday Brunch in the apartment at Baxter House Bed & Breakfast (BHB&B). It was a delightful, comfortable environment! There is easily enough room for 12 adults to have a sit down meal. A buffet or Happy Hour gathering could comfortably host 20-25 people!Kathleen is easy to work with! She’s gracious, flexible, and creative. The apartment has a full kitchen and a nice serving area. A fireplace and comfortable furnishing add to the ambience. I’m planning my next party at BHB&B when we can use the deck!
Caroline: The apartment space at Baxter House was the perfect place to have my graduation party. On top of being an incredibly cozy and inviting space, it's truly beautiful and so well kept. My friends and I wanted to move in! Kathleen and Matthew are such delights, too. If you have the chance to talk to them over breakfast, you're in for a wonderful time. They're kind, full of great stories, and so pleasant to share a meal with. Ask Kathleen about the ukulele band she's a part of - it's awesome! Oh, and if you have dietary restrictions, have no fear, for Kathleen is a phenomenal cook who can accommodate your needs. Whether you need a special event space or a place to sleep for the night, Baxter House is above and beyond my family's new favorite place to recommend in Ann Arbor!
Benjamin Lechlitner: Great breakfasts and genuine care from the host. Beds are comfy, clean rooms, great location. There is a park nearby with close restaurants in walking distance. Street parking is convenient.
Kathleen Maddox: Wow! what a wonderful place to stay ,this place stands out with its beautiful architecture and sits on one of the best little magical neighborhood streets just a short walk to ann arbours best restaurants and shops .location location ..my husband and i booked the charming sunset room with a lovely little balcony ,super comfy bed , soft linens , amazing private bathroom big soaker tub/shower. with all organic products to use. Everything is immaculate and fresh . All the attention to detail. Kathleen is the best hostess , not only did she make the best breakfast ever ,a poached egg potato pancake dish , fresh fruit and cream, artisanal breads and homemade jam she even frothed the cream to put in our coffee. Then shared with us her favorite places that we ended up going to for dinner and another for drinks and listen to some live jazz . both really delivered and were super cool spots . We will without a doubt be back and this is where we will always stay!
Karen Gfroehrer: This is my second stay at the Baxter House. The rooms are impeccable. The breakfasts are delicious. I’m looking forward to returning next spring. I highly recommend staying here for your next visit to Ann Arbor.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Token Conde: Cathy and Matthew were amazing inn keepers, it was a slow time of the year for the bed and breakfast so cathy gave us a upgrade for free! She was a very polite and hospitable host! My wife and I were celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary, and we would definitely come back again. The breakfast was amazing a huge variety of food and Cathy added her own tasty touch to the food! Definitely recommend 5 stars plus!
chad Jenkins: Kathleen is a great host with some great breakfast options
Melanie B: I have never given a negtive review on a Bed and Breakfast before but I felt I had to say something this time. My siblings and I bought my parents a gift certificate to stay at the Baxter house for Christmas last year. They went on this trip recently (August) and were so excited to stay here based on the reviews. I was so dissapointed to hear that they had a very negative experience. We have purchased gift certificates for bed and breakfast stays for the past few years in different states and cities and they have loved them all, but this time, my siblings and I ended up feeling terrible for choosing. The hostess turned the air conditioner off at night (it was in the high 80's outside) and when my father went to turn it back on, she turned it off again! My parents, who both have health issues, spent 3 nights sweating and uncomfortable, getting little to no sleep. Even after requesting the air conditioner to be turned back on, they were refused. Additionally, there were no locks on the doors. They could not lock the door when they left the room to venture out into the city. I have never heard of a bed and breakfast, or any accommadation for that matter, not allowing guests to lock their doors! My parents had to take all their valuables with them every time they went out and were extremely uncomfortable leaving their rooms unattended. Lastly, the hostess apparently likes to talk politics A LOT and spent every breakfast attempting to discuss and engage in this topic with guests (not just my parents) and it did not lend to a relaxing breakfast in the morning. It wasn't the viewpoint necessarily, it was just uuncomfortable and not a calm atmosphere. On the plus side, the food was delicious according to my parents and the house was well kept and very close to everything they wanted to see. I hope the hostess makes some neccessary changes to make the guests more comfortable and quite frankly I am very suprised no one else has mentioned these things. My parents are very easy going and never complain about any accommodation we have gotten for them. They love to travel and explore cities together and I am just very sorry that their trip wasn't as pleasant as it should have been.

Bell Tower Hotel: what do users think?

Deborah Matlovsky: The Bell Tower Hotel is a real jewel---cozy and stylish without being too stuffy. The service here is terrific. We had a couple of hiccups upon arrival, but the manager, Tyler, addressed them quickly and could not have been more understanding or helpful. The other front desk staff, from Ann to Martin to Joseph---were equally wonderful. Housekeeping, headed by the Betty, was amazingly well-run and very accomodating. The rooms, while small, are very comfortable and stylish with beds that are so comfy-- it makes getting out of them quite challenging and pillows that are so soft and fluffy that you’re certain you’re floating on air. Our stay at the Bell Tower was stellar in all respects, save, perhaps, that it was too short. We can’t wait to return.PS: I should also mention that the hotel is perfectly located---within walking distance to everything on campus.
Dylan French: My family stayed here from 10/1-3/22 and 10/6-9/2, and I'm pretty sure 2-3 other times before Covid, but I don't remember those visits as well. Our experience at the Bell Tower Hotel last October was fantastic! Most of the staff members were extremely friendly, and the views were great too! Each room has a small dish of candies, and the lobby sometimes has cookies out on a plate. Also, it's within five minutes (walking distance) of the Diag, the M Den, Nickels Arcade, and lots of restaurants. The hotel has valet because there aren't many parking spots. It's the best hotel in the city!Rooms: The rooms were spacious, all with a TV or two, a bathroom, a mini fridge, and a candy dish. There was a queen bed and a sofabed.Nearby activities: You can walk to the Diag, the M Den, Nickels Arcade, and much more!Walkability: The Bell Tower Hotel is a great place to stay if you want to walk around the central campus. Very walkable!
Valerie Daggett: This hotels best asset is it's central location to downtown. King suite is very small but the balcony & bar area is a bonus. Kim Miller: The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, that we had everything that we needed. We rented a room to celebrate our graduate from U of M - and they helped get everything set up. The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable - and we had guests from 20 to 80 year olds. Everyone walked away saying if we come back - we will stay here again!
S. Nelson: This is not a Hilton so temper your expectations. It is a 75 year old hotel so the room was not huge. But, it was clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was good and the service was on point. We have not been in a small room like that since we stayed in a hotel in Bisbee AZ that was over 100 years old. If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay in the heart of town this is a great place with many places near enough to get entertained or to eat. We will be going back.
John Grover: I've stayed here twice because it's close to the UofM hospital. The staff us super nice and the rooms are very comfortable. I thought the real room keys (not cards) were a cool throwbackRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
P & M Eastman: Just ok ✅. Room was $215 and included a very small bathroom and sleeping area. Small window facing west into an adjacent wall - so room was dark. Close to downtown vibe.

German Riano: In this hotel you will feel right at home: you arrive in the evening and nobody made the bed if you didn't.Response to owner comments below: The first day the room was clean, of course. But the next day after a hard day of work I arrive to find the room in the shape I left it. I called reception and was informed that no housekeeping personnel would be available at that time and that rooms would be cleaned only if I had requested it in advance (but nobody told me this in advance: in fact there was a card to hang on the knob if I wanted to opt-OUT of cleaning). It was also impossible to get a coffee pod for the machine at that time. The next day I did requested the room to be made and that was accepted but only reluctantly and in bad manner and after giving lame excuses about Covid. Covid crisis finished long ago!
LF Brooks: Wouldn't allow a late checkout after a marathon. Only hotel I've ever stayed at that wouldn't allow me to shower after a marathon. Will refer people to stay at other hotels when visiting Ann Arbor.Service: 1/5 …More

Graduate Ann Arbor: what do users think?
Michelle Erikson: DO NOT STAY HERE. Terrible/non-existent customer service. Loud rooms. Low quality rooms. This past weekend my husband and I stayed Saturday night. Our room on the third floor seemed fine at first, albeit dark. I soon noticed the floors were dirty and there was hair all over the two small area rugs next to the bed. The bathroom is also oddly designed in such a way that you cannot close the “salon style” doors from the inside of the bathroom (how dumb).I was looking forward to getting a good nights sleep in the comfy bed, however the room has absolutely ZERO sound proofing or insulation and there was a TV on and blasting sound LITERALLY all night long. I never really got to sleep. The TV was still blasting when housekeeping woke us up the next morning to ask when we were checking out (more on that later). We finally called down to the front desk in the middle of the night to complain about the TV noise and while they said they would contact the room, they never did. We never heard them come to the room nor the phone ring in the adjacent room. And the TV noise never stopped. To make matters worse, the next morning around 9:30am, housekeeping knocks to ask what time we are checking out. I was confused and asked to confirm that checkout was 11am and we were planning to check out by 11am and she confirmed yes, check out was 11 or 12. A 4-star hotel should not bother guests before the checkout time! When checking out I very nicely (when asked how my stay was) shared the part about the bathroom doors and loud tv with the woman and the front desk and she didn’t even apologize.I was looking forward to this iconic Ann Arbor hotel, but I certainly won’t ever be returning and I don’t recommend you stay here either.
Sheila Ritchie: Great people to work with :)
Josh Goodman: A nice hotel styled after the UM Law Library that is a short walk to campus/downtown. My room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Wifi signal was strong in my room and conference rooms. Parking is limited to valet for $30 a day.Walkability: Very walkable to downtown and campus.

Rebekah Duhaime: Pros: beautiful aesthetics, absolutely wonderful valets, and nice front desk staff.Cons: elevators shake and make loud sounds like they’re about to break, you aren’t made aware at check-in where to park if not using the valet, marks, scuffs, and stains on the walls, cheap looking plastic drop ceiling in the bathroom, dirty windows, no microwave, and scratchy sheets and blankets.
Maura S: I loved the vibe of this hotel when I looked at it online and was not disappointed. visually beautiful, and the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Their restaurant suggestion was fabulous and we had a beautiful night. I had an issue and Lexi the front desk manager took excellent care of us, truly outstanding customer service. Beautiful place, excellent location. The coffee shop was excellent and the bar was just stunning and such a great place to relax. overall a major treat and great location.

Gino Gisondo: Room was nice. Location is great. You can basically walk anywhere in downtown Ann Arbor. It was insanely dry, but most hotels are. Main pitfall was that the shower didn't drain. Very common problem in hotels, but it always sucks and makes the stay way less enjoyable.Rooms: Very spacious. Beds not yet ruined by years of use or over weight guests. Clean.Walkability: Extremely walkable
Patrick Martin: Parking here is a pain to fine and then the parking lot is $28 a night which gets really expensive when you want to spend a weekend hereRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 2/5 …More

DY Lin: This hotel is ideally situated to explore downtown Ann Arbor & access the university. Everywhere we needed to go was within walking distance. The property was extremely clean and well maintained (one of my pet peeves is slow drains in hotels, but that was not a problem here). One small improvement would be the lighting in the rooms - overall, the lighting is quite dim & cast an unpleasant institutional glow in the rooms. The building is kept at a comfortable temperature, so there was no need to use the in-room heater (i.e., made for a quieter night & better sleep). The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and quick to award the benefits associated with membership status. (Thank you, Walter!) Would definitely stay here again.
Edward Zamora: Great experience, Love to stay here again...

Janna Zielke: We love this hotel! The staff are very friendly, the rooms are comfortable for any length of stay, and the fitness room is great. We always stay here when in town - location is AMAZING and you can walk anywhere downtown Ann Arbor. I wish it was less expensive but due to size of room and location, it is still worth it. We tried a cheaper airbnb apartment nearby and it was just not the same, and of course you can stay somewhere not downtown for much cheaper but then you have to uber. Definitely recommend this place!
Bill Bickel: Extremely happy with my arrival and the service of the front desk. I needed extra blankets due to special circumstances and I had them in 60 seconds. I hsd some additional requests out of the ordinary and Steve at the front desk treated me like he knew me my whole life. He was authentic and helpful and efficient and after the long 24 hours I had, this was very much a welcome atmosphere.
Mary Lemmer: I’ve stayed here several times and always had a good experience! Great customer service and high quality rooms!
Cindy Warber: We went to Ann Arbor for a girl's weekend with shopping and a comedy show. Everything was within walking distance. The suite was perfect, and breakfast was very delicious and had a great variety.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

KenDor Amano: The Residence Inn @ Ann Arbor Downtown, is walking distance to great restaurants, bars and shops & close proximity to U-Mich. Rooms are comfortable and clean but a bit dated. What pushes this location to the top is the service we received from Walter @ the front desk;. warm and friendly hospitality and always helpful. We’ve been back multiple times and other staff members were just as accommodating. 5 stars for the complimentary mid day donuts and Insomnia cookies. The mostly pre packaged breakfast was on par with similar hotel offerings. The price of the room can vary significantly. The rate was $259 in April and $420 in August and September.
Michael A. Spielmaker (SPIEL): Very clean rooms, lobby, front desk Manager and staff extremely helpful and friendly. Good location to downtown stores and restaurants. Casa Del Sol Bed & Breakfast: what do users think?
Christian Murphy: Amazing b&b! Would recommend it to anyone
Todd Cameron: A friend and I stayed there last fall while in town from RI for a MU football game. We had a great time. She made us feel at home. We loved the place. Comfortable accommodations, good food and conversation. Hope to visit again.
Nancy Meadow: Great location, sweet host and oh so comfortable rooms.
John LeBlanc: I had a lovely stay for several days. There are 2 large comfortable rooms upstairs although I did find the bed more supportive for my back in one room versus the other. Marta is a great hostess and an avid cyclist. She lent me a bicycle and she and I went out one evening to explore a beautiful park in nearby Dexter. Definitely more than one would expect at a B&B!
Evan Arthur: Great place to relax, talk about traveling, chill, and watch a pretty back yard. Marta was an excellent hostess during the couple months I stayed there, and she was more than helpful in making the time between my leases delightful. The place is a little off the beaten track, has free parking, and is very safe. It is right by one of the main bus lines, so getting around without a car is quite easy, and a 15-minute bike ride (she has bikes!) can take you downtown. She is very respectful and is a seasoned traveler. We had a lot of fun comparing notes! Highly recommended!
Oliver Dyma: I stayed at the Casa during a visit to the University of Michigan for two weeks. I enjoyed the stay a lot, Marta is great host. She was very helpful even before booking and all the time I was there. The rooms are clean and nice, the bathroom is a little bit small but sufficient and all supplies are provided. The choice for breakfast was healthy and varied. Marta had asked about my breakfast preferences beforehand.Marta is well acquainted with the needs and peculiarities of foreign travelers. The guests during my stay were from all over the world (me included). We had a delicious dinner twice together with an also helpful neighbor and her guests which was a great experience.A bus stop is nearby but you can easily walk downtown which I enjoyed most of the days.It was a great experience and I definitely will stay here again if and when I come back to Ann Arbor.
John C: beautiful home, delightful colors, lots of windows, pretty garden, sweet energy, warm and caring welcome from Marta, I enjoyed staying here very much!
Sara Card: We had a great time at the Casa Del Sol B & B. Our host, Marta, was very hospitable and made us feel as we never left our own home. We will definitely stay at the CDS B&B every time that we stay in the Ann Arbor area. We suggest that you also stay "at home" at the CDS B&B. Enjoy.

Library Bed & Breakfast: what do users think?
Alan Grabill: I love this place. The food was great and they had service to match.
SANJAY MITRA: Simply wonderful. Joan is an amazing host . Enjoyed a great stay in October 2017.
Aaron Aeschliman: We have stayed with Joan several times and have absolutely loved every second of it. The food is out of this world.
Lucy Echeri: I'd go back any time!
Ivy Jenkins: My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay with Joan. There were 3 other people staying there the same weekend and they were all very pleasant and nice to converse with. Joan had the guest fridge stocked with juice, and a few candy/chocolate dishes scattered about, plus coffee, tea and various condiments. There is a full kitchen for guest use so you can easily cook lunch/dinner, etc instead of eating out.The room we stayed in was pretty small, and the bed was a bit smaller than we're used to sleeping on. The two smaller rooms also have a shared bathroom and common space, but it is comfy and cozy. The other couple showed us their suite and I would definitely opt for that space in the future. The largest room has its own sitting area and private bathroom and a much more elegant feel in general.I like that the house is right downtown. We walked to Jolly pumpkin for lunch and beer as recommended by Joan, and it was very nice! Lots to do in the immediate area. Food and drink options galore. In the morning, Joan cooked a killer breakfast which started with fruit, scones, orange juice and coffee... and then came the main event - eggs with havarti, brie, slivered almonds, edemame, and little pops of sweetness from grapes and cranberries. The whole experience feels very homey, like having breakfast with family, even a couple of cute kitty's hanging around the lower level.
Lilia Cardenas: So cozy!
Kevin Oickle: We had a fantastic stay at the Library Bed and Breakfast. Joan was incredibly helpful. The location for the University of Michigan is perfect!
shawn harper: Joan was a marvelous hostess. The accomodations were very clean and comfortable. The food was great. And the location is perfect. Also, if you appreciate books and vintage celerey dishes you're in for quite a surprise!
Dave Pinkawa: Joan was a wonderful host, providing great historical information as well as helping guide us around town to see all of the book stores and libraries we wanted to visit. Will definitely be staying here in the future if we find ourselves in the area. The rooms and common areas are decorated with many books, as well as local area history.
Robin Walters: The hostess Joan is very very nice. This is a real bed and breakfast. The room is cozy (small) and the bed isn't brand new, but Joan will make you feel like family. She loves to make breakfast for her guests to help you with local suggestions to chat about Ann Arbor. She always remembers us and is happy to pick us up at the train station.
Vic Miller: My wife and I make a point of stopping at least annually at the Library on our way from the east coast to Lake Charlevoix. Can't do better. Joan is your maiden aunt married to her music and love of books and her beliefs. You may not agree with her 100%; you will love her for having them.We have taken annually to donating to one of her causes, music for Ann Arbor children. It is not her only work toward making her community a better place. It is unclear whether the primary draw of the Library is Joan or her breakfasts. Probably both.
bella Aeschliman: I almost hate to write a glowing review for fear that when I want to book again she will be full. My husband and I have spent our anniversary with Joan for the past several years. We live about 30 minutes from Ann Arbor so it is the perfect easy get away. Her breakfasts are to die for, and the conversation is just as entertaining as the food is tasty.
Emily D: Joan is extremely sweet and helpful while staying in Ann Arbor. She is very knowledgeable about the University and what is going on in the city. Her breakfasts are tasty and filling! She will ask you if you have any food allergies or food you don't prefer and will make a breakfast around your tastes. The room I stayed in was clean and had a closet to hang up my clothes. The pictures below are of my bedroom, the upstairs kitchen, and common area.
Tsubasa Morioka: I had the most amazing, quintessential breakfast here! Joan is so knowledgeable about Michigan and is a wonderful owner of this B&B! It's on campus so if you're a prospective student, it's a great place to start out and explore the school.

Stephen De Las Heras: We really enjoyed our stay here this summer! The master suite was spacious and had a wonderful feel to it, with many beautiful decor details and a fabulous tub. Abigail Seiple: We stayed at the Burnt Toast Inn last fall on a weekend trip to Ann Arbor and had a lovely time. The Master Suite was beautiful and the giant soaking tub was perfect for a rainy night in (we sadly didn't luck out with weather that weekend). Sarah's hospitality is unmatched and breakfast was always amazing. The Inn is also a convenient walking distance from everything downtown. If you're looking to experience Ann Arbor from a home base with charm, don't hesitate to book here!

Cute furniture, a writing desk, huge bed and no television! Perfect! Great breakfast too. Please stay here when you roll through Ann Arbor, I certainly will again.
Lise Anderson: Delightful short stay in Ann Arbor. Such a convenient and comfortable spot, and a great breakfast. Thanks!
Theresa Walsh: The hospitality was so prevalent at this b&b…from the initial greeting, to the setup of each unique room, Sarah knocked it out of the park. Don’t even get me started on breakfast (so delicious!!). This place is made to feel like a home away from home(with some unique artifacts and paintings) but with the bonus of a kind hostess.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Sally R: This was my first time visiting Ann Arbor, and I'm here for work so I needed to set up wifi and everything before the check-in time. Sarah has been so wonderful with accommodating my time and needs, and she is very responsive and thoughtful in communication with me before and after I arrived. The place is just fantastic. I could not resist but show it off to my friends the moment I walked in. The house has the best decor and style, and it's very clean and quiet. It is only 2 minutes away from where I work, and a short walking distance away from all the actions downtown. The bedrooms are color-themed which I love so much! The bed is very comfortable, and the layout and wall decorations made a wonderful zoom background during my online meetings :)I really enjoyed staying here, and will definitely come back in the future!
Gary Trowbridge: Amazing stay! Hospitality at it's finest. Rooms and whole home is gorgeous. Breakfast this morning was great. Birds singing in the morning giving you that away feeling even though you are a few short blocks from main st. Will definitely stay again. Sarah it was splendid. Thank you so much for everything!
Abbey Tomashik: Nothing but wonderful things to say about Sarah and her charming, historic B&B. She was so welcoming, I instantly felt comfortable and at home. On top of the cozy night stay, she made a delicious home-cooked breakfast that could not be replicated! The location is fantastic too, just a short walk into downtown. We are sure to be back this summer! Thank you for hosting us.

Ayana Rowe: My partner and I had the pleasure of staying with Sarah and Gus on our way to Charlevoix, MI, and back home to Ohio. For both stays, Sarah made a delicious breakfast and was incredibly hospitable, offering places to visit and eat in town. The inn is a short walk to town, the porch made for an excellent place to unwind and watch a storm roll in (that we were grateful not to be driving through). We brought our own dog along, also named Gus, and he got along with her Gus just fine. This was my first time in Ann Arbor, but definitely not my last. And I hope to stay here whenever I return.
Tovah Klein: This was our second stay at the Burnt Toast Inn and we will go back next time we are in Ann Arbor. A beautiful well kept house, well appointed rooms, clean and safe. Ample wipes and hand sanitizer available. The host is personable and accommodating, breakfast divine. We could sit outside as well. Highly recommend and coming from NYC, felt safe during COVID19.
