The entire staff was kind, knowledgeable, and put me at ease. I only wish other repair shops operated like these guys!

Evan Ingmire: When my car broke down I was relieved I was right near a service station, but worried because I just spent $7 for baking soda across the street so I was preparing to be ripped off. BUT!! Colonial BP explained all of my options and came up with a cost effective way to get me back on the road. They were great throughout the process and TRUSTWORTHY. I work in the area and I am sure to be back-even just to thank them for being AWESOME!

Wenbo Du: I used to like this gas station. It's conveniently located and was a reliable option. Unfortunately in recent years their prices have gone up faster than other stations, to the point where it's one of the most expensive stations in Ann Arbor. Don't pay attention to the canned response from BP, it means nothing. Oil prices are high for everyone, everywhere. Other gas stations are forced to increase their prices but not as much as this one.
A Bar: Make-specific car problem, but they knew exactly what to do! Ask for (An)Tony, he knows this stuff and can explain anything you have a question for. Well managed, well run!

Even with a holiday weekend ahead, he got my car in and took care of my 2004 Honda's brake caliper issues ahead of schedule.I knew the cost of my parts ahead of time so I knew that the cost of the job was fair. He gave me a heads up about a future repair, but didn't pressure me. Also, the shop itself is one of the coolest I've ever seen. So convenient to have the BP attendant to take my keys after hours.

Hope Koch: We came over to this gas station Monday 12/04/21 for a trip to Ann Arbor. Now I’m back home and my car isn’t working properly, there’s water in my gas tank from their fuel. I haven’t gotten gas since this place either. I wouldn’t come back here again.
Kelly Jean Passage: Anthony is honest, direct, and helpful. I really valued his expertise in diagnosing and treating my car's oil issue. Anthony helped with this problem, patiently and consistently, for weeks until we had a solution figured out. During that time, I watched some of his customers check in with him or ask him questions, on a pretty regular basis; people just like talking to him. He always treated everyone kindly, professionally, and helpfully. It became clear that I am not the only person who is psyched to have found Anthony!
Joel Schoenhals: I had a rattle on my Lexus CT. I wanted to make sure it was save before my parents in-law took for a trip. They were super busy, but Tony said to come in and he would do his best. Tony fit me in and took care of the rattle - only charged me $20 and was very kind about the whole thing. This would have cost me $500 at the dealership. Thanks!
Susan KM: Have been taking cars to Anthony at Colonial BP for 30 years on and off. Recent experience was beyond expectations. Air conditioner failed on a 90 degree day and we had a road trip in the offing. Anthony and team went the extra mile - getting us squeezed in for diagnostics and got a part from out of town all on the same day! HOORAY! Honest, quality, affordable car service. Highly recommend.
King Tyrant: So the regular gas is kind of high but they let you use their air pump for free which has been a godsend to me in the past and big props to Tim I don’t know him personally but he’s always got a smile and he’s always very helpful and if your having a bad day that dude will bring you right out of it

GNS: This has been my go-to gas station for nearly two years. It can be crowded and somewhat messy, but the prices are good.Today though, I was overcharged. My car has a 23-gallon tank and I pulled in with 6-7 gallons in the tank. The pump was exceptionally slow (took app. 10 minutes to fill) and claims to have dispensed 21.7 gallons. I know my car well and this is simply not possible. I have contacted BP customer service and am awaiting their response.

Matt Postiff: This station is often busy. I like to give it my business not only because it is near where I work but also because they often had good prices the last two years. Sometimes I wish the car wash was still operational.One tip...if you pull in from Washtenaw and end up facing north when you pump gas, you can drive straight out the back of the gas station. Just go around the right side of the building like you are going to the car wash and continue past the car wash and make a quick left to get out to Washtenaw via the old Arby's, or go straight and it will take you to Glenwood where you can turn left and get to the light at Washtenaw.

I see a lot of people are upset there isn't a public bathroom. But I've never been to a gas station that does have a public bathroom unless its a truck stop.

Water and ice is a EBT approved product and these people refuse to follow the law to just make more profit it is sickening that there are people out there who want to take advantage of the most in need. Erin: I stopped here in desperate need of a restroom on my way home from surgery. I was told there was no public restroom, so I quickly explained that it was a medical emergency and I was about to pee myself. The man at the counter retorted that it was company policy and there was nothing he could do. It would seem company policy is more important than human decency in this day and age.

Clerk was giving attitude because he had no clue how to figure out the winnings. He actually pushed the tickets back at my husband and told him to scratch off the bar code himself. Being stupid is no reason to treat others badly. Will never return to that place.

Melissa Bucholz: I've been to hundreds of gas stations in the US and NEVER had a gas station charge a $100 hold fee. The charge didn't settle out off my card at completion of the transaction. Now I seriously regret not getting a receipt. I've never in 20 years had to worry about it at any gas station, including other BPs. Also, I saw NO warning on my pump that a "hold fee of up to X dollars" would be charged like some other places have. I would absolutely not have filled up here if I saw that the hold fee was $100. And I will definitely never stop here again.

David Winter: I used to go here all the time, because of their free air, even though their prices were a little higher than down the road. But their air hose broke a month or two ago, and they have shown no interest at all in replacing it. So ... I no longer go here for gas.
Alex Hood: What a wonderful little oasis to visit. A lot of gas stations in Ann Arbor are kind of uptight and snobby but when you walk into this store, you are immediately welcomed in to what feels like a slice of home. The employees are helpful and kind, always go out of their way to help me and other customers find what we are looking for. (as for the other reviews regarding the traffic, there is a street on the side to turn onto which helps you get back to the main road, BP is on the corner of Plymouth and Upland). Sad they do not have their repair shop anymore but the place seems to be flourishing regardless.

Get to the couter was charged 1.59 or 1.89 Was told by the clerk it was placed in the wrong area & that lots of merchandise is located in the wrong area. He said the vendors place the products. So since it was placed wrong give me the price as mark. Very fraustrating having merchanise mis labeled & having to pay extra when clearly it was placed at 1.19 area. I'll never come back here again & advise everyone to ne very CAUTIOUS.

Ryan Bajema: I've had my truck towed once (selected by AAA) and serviced twice by these guys. Thankfully I had a very good experience with their mechanic Aaron. I usually have a former mechanic buddy do work on my truck, but he was unavailable both times that Brewer's worked on it. I had him review the bills afterward and he said they were more than fair. That's why I took it back the second time. I hope to never need to, but I would take it there again even after reading the poor guy's story below.
Joey Ostrander: I had a truck repaired here. I needed a water pump replaced after it broke on the freeway and my truck had overheated. I informed the mechanic in detail of this scenario including the fact that I knew my water pump was broken.As I was in a time crunch due to a heavy workload, I could not replace the pump myself - typically an uncomplicated task for someone who has done this before.Rather than diagnose the true extent of the damage, and recommend what should actually be done with the truck, he simply replaced the pump for $600+, an outrageous charge for such repair. My truck was returned 3 days later in a barely driveable condition as the engine made horrible internal noise and lacked the consistency and power that it used to.My truck engine blew 2 weeks later destroying any possibility of repair. I had to sell an otherwise $4000 truck for $900.When I had a friend, a trained professional working for Ford, re-examine the truck before selling, he informed me that the problem - a broken piston - should have been plain as day to a mechanic. The right and honest thing for this station's mechanic to have done would have been recommending further repair or salvage of the truck, and advice against driving it until further repair.It was a shame. I expected more from a business that otherwise appeared honest.

Marlon Anderson: 2 hours ago, the "owner" put his hands on me and shoved me out of the store while i was simply trying to pay for gas and having a conversation with a friend on the phone. I had to come back because i didnt get a chance to retrieve my debit card since i was maliciously grabbed and manhandled out of the store for asking my friend "did you come to America to sell MnMs for somebody else or for youself?" The clerk or "owner," took this so offensively for some crazy reason he even put his hands on the next customer (who fleed). The "owner" told me he didn't have my card until police arrived on the scene and somehow got my card back from "the lost and found." This business owner clearly has anger issues and took out his anger on me. No corporation has the right put their hands on a customer. I didn't even get a chance to grab my debit card and leave I was thrown out in the most disrespectful way for having a personal conversation while trying to pump gas to get home. Shame on all of BP gas stations for allowing their franchise owners to treat their customers like this. Violence is completely uncalled for in a place of business. It's all on camera. The police officer even threatened to take me jail if I was lying and I told him I couldn't make this up. I stood my ground AND here I am, posting a review, from home, an honest opinion to all consumers out there that violence is not okay in our communities. WE ARE ENTITLED TO OUR OPINIONS BUT IT IS NOT OKAY TO PHYSICALLY ABUSE ANY PERSON FOR ANY REASON, BACK GROUND, RELIGION, POLITICAL VIEWS, RACE, GENDER.... ETC!!!!

Employee was vacuuming in front of the door as I was entering, did not even look up or move out of the way, I had to stand in the doorway til he moved. Restroom was not very clean, a dirty plunger with toilet paper stuck on it was in the corner. As I was leaving after I had used the restroom, I heard him say “didn’t even buy anything but used the bathroom”. My husband then went in and even tho he had locked the door this same employee UNLOCKED THE DOOR AND WALKED IN!! He got a handcart/dolly that was in the bathroom and walked out again without saying a word! Obviously nothing has been done in the past about issues at this location. It’s convenient off I-94 but definitely should be avoided. Would give zero stars if possible

Megan Minner: Avoid if possible! We stopped to grab gas and a quick breakfast. I took my little girl in for a bathroom break and the bathroom is absolutely disgusting. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. To top it off there's a "knock before entering" sign on the door because the door doesn't even lock, so someone could easily walk in on us. We knocked before entering, but accidentally walked in on a poor gentleman who didn't know the lock didn't work and hadn't said anything. When my husband told the attendant the bathroom was disgusting, his only response was that is wasn't "that bad". I'd hate to know what they consider "dirty".

brandon sutton: Probably the most expensive gas station within 50 miles, and as a previous worker at the Tim Hortons, I can say none of the food is actually fresh it is all from Frozen including Donuts, and the donuts are made all by 10 A.M. at the latest and set out for the rest of the day. And of course the management is just as bad as the food as I'm fighting with my old boss to get my check, I which I was told “lol calm down man" and "go get a lawyer" for wages I worked for!

I talk to the cashier make small talk i guess. I replied does that matter and he got aggressive and went on ranting about irrelevant matters when i wasnt even talking to him. I told him multiple times im not going to argue with him and i just want to pay for my items and leave. He would not stop arguing for no reason and i have never felt uncomfortable for no damn reason. UWZerokool X: Other than their gas prices, which is usually higher off the freeway, the store inside is really neat and tidy, as well as the restrooms. I'll give an A for cleanliness.I noticed that they do sell alcohol here, as well and they have a dunkin donuts attached.I can clearly see that many have given a 1 star review in the past for price gouging. My review is not based on gas prices or whether or not the owner is honest or dishonest in his prices, its based on the overall facilities.
Christina Haworth: Went here to buy an item that I need ID for. I have a valid Arizona ID and they wouldn’t take it because it has no expiration date. Maybe people should leave the state and travel and know about other states IDs as well as people should be trained in this it is a VALID GOVERMENT ISSUED ID.
Brett Kirkland: Do not get gas here. The owner is a price gauger. Gas is always at least 50 cents higher than normal prices. There are plenty of other options within 5 minutes of I-275 if you are just passing through the area.

Scott Petsuch: So I'll give an honest review, is BP gas good? Yes, is it any better than the BP 3 miles up the road selling it 40 cents cheaper? No. It is the best fuel? No, shell has better quality than BP. This is for the owner, you know you're price gouging, you've been doing it for years. If you barely make money off this gas you need to get it delivered by another company or just stop selling gas all together and become a convince store. If you are intentionally price gouging you should be ashamed of yourself. There's a reason I won't get gas from you, and won't purchase anything inside your gas station and that's in the hopes you go out of business. The only times I've gotten gas from you was to put 5 dollars in the tank to get to another gas station.
Wenbo Du: $5.39 for premium. Even considering gas prices have increased recently overall, this is absurdly priced. Other gas stations in Metro Detroit are 50-80 cents cheaper.

Mark Durocher: The lady behind the counter is rude, I simply asked if I could use the microwave to warm up my lunch she told me NO! She’s always playing on her phone making customers wait a few minutes when you are obviously ready to pay. I usually get my gas here in the morning because it’s right on the way but I will go elsewhere from here on out. I would recommend everyone do the same.

Jourdan Tobin: I was just here with my boyfriend and the woman behind the counter was incredibly rude and disrespectful to him when he was trying to pay for his gas. He stuck his card in the machine inside and it reset for whatever reason and she accused him of “breaking her machine” he was double charged after she made him switch pumps, he went back inside and all she says is “I did what you told me to do” which was completely incorrect. Terrible service. I’d give 0 stars if it were an option. This gas station is right up the street from home but I’d rather drive the extra minutes up the road to go to a store that doesn’t want to rob me.
