They do a dusting at best inside. So do yourself a favor and get an $8 dollar wash somewhere else and do the interior yourself.

Jim Henderson: This is just a really expensive exterior car wash now. I haven’t been here in a couple years, and it sure has changed. $28 bucks for a basic interior vacuum and half a$$ wipe down. The bottom of the car is rarely cleaned and tire shine doesn't ever work. I complain and they'll do it manually. Is it worth $20+ to have your car washed? No, not any more. I'm going to try just a basic and do the rest myself since that's about what happens anyway. What a sad end to what used to be a great car wash.

Christine McBride: This car wash has one of the worst car wash experience I’ve ever had. Starting off the guy working there was trying tell me to pull forward I guess and I couldn’t see what he was doing with his hands if it was stop or pull forward which caused him to start cussing at me which is extremely unprofessional. Then the layout of the car wash/vacuuming area makes it to where if it’s full the time of day you go there are no spots to wait since they’re right when you come out of the car wash and there are only 6 vacuums. The only reason I’m giving this two-stars is that at least I got a good car wash but I won’t be going there again.

Omeid: Would give this place 5 stars but they almost NEVER clean underneath my SUV’s spoiler (except for one employee named Wyatt). What’s the point of their employees with the power washers that spray your car before the car wash? They can literally just spray beneath the spoiler but never do. I have actually called and complained about this before but still no training for their employees. I have a fast pass and come here multiple times a week. Wyatt (seems like a newer employee) is the ONLY employee I’ve had spray beneath the spoiler after over a year of coming here. Downgrading my membership this month because it doesn’t make sense to pay for their most premium tier membership just to be annoyed every time you leave the car wash. So much disappointment, time and time again.Update: just went again and had the same issue.

xavier gonzales: Terrible customer service, i used to be a member a year ago, decided to rejoin, at the kiosk I booked the monthly plan, gave my card info and got my wash, when I tried to go back my sticker didn’t work, I stopped in and asked for a new one (at this point I had been charged for another month) and they couldn’t find my old account so they couldn’t give me a sticker, couldn’t make me a new account, couldn’t offer a refund, couldn’t stop the charges completely useless! Her advice was take it up with the owner. I’m left with no choice but to dispute charges for a service I can’t use. What a shame and huge waste of time.
Brandi: Definitely a great deal on memberships for a car wash! I love that Larry always has a smile on his face. It's nice to see a friendly smile everyday. The only "complaint" I have is that I wish the dryers would dry my side mirrors a little better, but it's so minor.

Matthew Laurin: **Update May 2023**Lighthouse has done some major upgrades to the parking lot and vacuums.Vacuums are free between 8am and 5pm. There are now dual hoses on them with the traditional flat extension and also a crevice tool. There is also a place to clamp your floor mats.I should also add that when you go through this wash, there are always two people spraying off the car. They spray with power washers then wipe the front and back of vehicles with big brushes before you go into the machine.This is a well-established car wash that's great for auto-washing or DIY.They have 5 bays in back of the property where you can spray off your car yourself. It's covered and costs about 2 bucks to start. They maintain their equipment pretty well so everything works great. In the bays they also have brushes and clamps to hold your floor mats.If you want to do the auto wash, this one is a little better than the other auto washes in the area. Some of the employees have been there for years and they do a great job.Hint: if you slip them a tip when you drive into the auto wash, they will usually spray your car off a little better.

Bill Niester: I drive a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it has this little overhang off the back of the car over the liftgate that almost never gets washed by other establishments. This place literally got it sparkling clean. Not to mention a very generous drying time that gives the car a chance at staying clean for more than 30 minutes after you drive away. Prices are neither high nor low. Very fair
Jeanie Smith: The person collecting money was nice and cheerful. However when I was going threw the car wash, they sprayed down the front, back, and right side of the car only. The left side (driver side) did not come out clean it still had residue from the tree I park under. Had they sprayed down the left side as well, I believe it would have been a good results. My daughter noticed all the gunk still there right after we took off. I know I only got the $10 wash, but I felt like I payed for a $5 wash. I usually pay less for a way better result. So that was pretty devastating due to this being my second attempt at a car wash company in Ann Arbor trying to find one that can actually clean a car. I also drive down a dirt rode so it was able to get the dust off just not residue apparently.
John Laich: No line on a sunny Black Friday after a messy rain shower last night. Location is convenient. Employees very pleasant and helpful. Used to come here frequently when I lived in the area. Tunnel is safe and efficient. Only problem - still had streaks of soap left on hood and trunklid after running through. There's a newer wash nearby I might try next time.

James Smith: A Complete Waste of Money: Automated Car Wash That Failed to DeliverI recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting this car wash that left me feeling completely ripped off and utterly disappointed. Despite putting in a 5 dollar bill into the machine (Bay 4) and expecting a nice and easy car wash, the entire ordeal turned out to be an absolute disaster.First and foremost, the most infuriating aspect of this car wash was the fact that it didn't even operate. As soon as I pulled up, I eagerly inserted my hard-earned $5 bill, expecting a seamless and efficient process. To my disbelief, nothing happened. No brushes, no jets of water, no soap—absolutely nothing. It was as if I had just thrown my money into a black hole, never to be seen again. This complete lack of functionality is utterly unacceptable, especially considering the prices they charge.Moreover, the customer service contacts were not labelled nor could I find anything on the many warning labels put inside the bay.Furthermore, the lack of maintenance and upkeep was glaringly obvious. After wasting 5 on bay number 4, I pulled into bay number 2. There the machine did operate after putting in more cash, but the sprayer had a cut in it and was spraying water at high pressure all over the place. So I had to hold the hose at a certain angle to avoid getting sprayed in the face with the water.The whole place looked neglected and rundown, with broken signage, faded paint, and malfunctioning equipment. It was evident that this car wash had seen better days and had long abandoned any notion of providing a quality service. It's a shame that they still felt justified charging customers for a service that clearly did not meet even the most basic standards.In conclusion, this car wash was an utter disgrace. Not only did it fail to operate, but the complete lack of customer service and the appalling state of the facilities only compounded my dissatisfaction. I would strongly advise anyone considering using this car wash to stay far away and save their hard-earned money for a reputable and reliable alternative. This experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth, and I certainly won't be returning to this establishment any time in the future.

I went through the car wash and checked with the gentleman who’s car I backed into. Thankfully both our cars were fine. When I went to talk to the supervisor, the person who waved us in came and started yelling at me again.Apparently this is the second time this has happened to the gentleman who’s car I bumped into. Accidentally switching into reverse should not result in an accident. And forget about customer service. Steer clear of this place!
John DeBaeke: This particular location needs serious help. All of the other complaints that everyone else has noted... Not clean, car getting barely sprayed off. The one person working here has zero clue and zero training. Yesterday I got rear ended because the half wit is trying to squeeze the cars in on top of each other. Put some room between them, your obviously not going to fix the problem of getting good help that will pre-spray the vehicles on both sides so at least give the machines enough room to get around the vehicles to do their job. Please don't reply a generic BS response like drive around again or go in and waste time trying to talk to someone about the terrible service....Fix the problems!!....I have a monthly pass that is not cheap, I expect a clean vehicle in one pass through.. and for God sakes I don't expect to be in an accident in the car wash because someone is incompetent at the controls.

Sahli: This Business delivers Quality and a great wash service, changing the Car wash game across Michigan, great, fast and very practical, a quick in and Out and your car is all washed, and now they re adding air pressured cleaners and strong free vacuums so you can clean your car in and out, make sure you drop at their Carpenter location and check the new vacuums they have too, you can even clean your engine block.

Liz Boff: Used to be great... nice new equipment, but they cut down on how many employees they have so they no longer spray both sides of the vehicle. Only the driver's side. I was paying $36 a month for the wash pass and my truck still comes out with mud on the step bar. When I asked for the other side to be sprayed I was rudely told I don't have time for that there is a line. You will have to go through it again. Not sure why my time is less important... I already waited in line and I already knew there would be an issue with the mud and what the solution was. Going through twice would not have fixed that, I have already done that in the past.

I payed with card, had no idea where to put cash. Two cars were behind me waiting for me to pay and go. I get up to the wash and a lady did two useless swipes with the weakest power wash in the front of my car that’s all, and then I had to go forward into the wash. Well the dust was gone, but all the gunk on the windshield, headlights, and grill was still there. The main reason I payed to get a car wash was to get the gunk off. So I payed over $10 to get my car rinsed off. Pretty disappointing.

Rob Holo-Source: I just picked up my car from having Ceramic Pro protective coatings applied to my new MATTE GREY Kia EV6. The quality of the result and the service was exceptional!This was a very challenging task as Joel found there were hard dried water spots on the car from the original shipment to the dealer. These spots were hard to see but his concern was if they were to apply the ceramic coating then these spots would become very apparent. He spent many hours researching, procuring chemicals and devising techniques to solve this problem-- and it worked!In addition to the Ceramic Pro coating specially engineered for matte paint, he found and where possible remedied issues with other spots on the black gloss plastic exterior trim and with the windows. He also found defects which will need to be addressed by the dealer and spent time providing advice and suggestions on how to maintain the appearance of a matte painted vehicle. I will be gladly returning for the annual check ups required to maintain Ceramic Pro's 5 year guarantee and for other cars we own.Joel is a true professional. He is very thorough, creative and has communication skills necessary for both detailing and providing excellent customer service. Obviously, I highly recommend both him and his team at Carsmetology!

Javier Samayoa: I came in for a detailing wash and clay bar service after setting up an appointment over the phone, at which time I was told that my wait time would be about 2 hours, so I could just wait around and not have to drop it off during the detailing. When I got there, I was informed that they never stated that and that was my own impression and that it would take all day. The gentleman at the counter brought over the manager who said it could be done in two hours, but the counter person seemed annoyed and was talking to the manager like I was not standing in front of him. I would say their customer service needs a bit of work because it should have been me the one annoyed, not them.
Matthew Schaller: I brought my car into this place for a clean up after a road trip in May. It had bugs all over the outside, salt stains on the floor mats from winter driving, sand and dog hair everywhere. It came back looking like a new car. No pet hair, no sand, and all the fries I had dropped where I couldn't reach them were gone. Worth every penny of the money spent
Michael K: They were excellent, but not cheap (worth the money, though). I got their "Premier" package, both inside and out, and they did not take shortcuts (got all the nooks and crannies, and little compartments). My car looked fantastic. Their shuttle service was drama free, on time, and service was polite and professional.The best thing to note is that they were honest- I left some cash in the glove compartment and center console (One of the tests I do to see if I will go back to the place), and sure enough, it was safely put into a cardboard box with all the other stuff. Spare change that got stuck in the seats and under the rugs- all put into the box. Nice.
Kyle: Bought a used car and the previous owner had a dog. I don't have any pets and wanted to start the car clean. All the hair was gone, interior vacuumed, and smell was gone as much as you could hope for. They also cleaned the exterior which was a bonus. Would definitely go back with other vehicles for detailing or cleaning in Ann Arbor.
