Racquet Club of Ann Arbor: what do users think?
Cole Heys: I liked it so much that I am going there this summer every day. The food is great and you can feel at home. The lifeguards are all very nice and the tennis courts and grounds are just gorgeous. I could be there all day. The only thing is that the pricing of the food is high. For example, a twisted Ruben sandwich is $14. But other then that, a very beautiful place overall
Oscar Larson: You can drink by the pool.
Eileen Kernaghan: Lovely place
Michael Kman: Buetiful place
Caden Che: Great Pool. Friendly staff, and food was great. This is the place you should be if you want to have fun.
thepurplemage: So good. The staff is so friendly and the pool is so nice; the food is delicious! The only problem is the communal shower.
Lisa DiPonio: This is a great place to feel comfortable and at home. The pool is large, staff is friendly. Kids can be kids, and adults can interact with other adults in an environment that's both safe and fun. There is something for everyone, from toddlers to teens. The snack bar has lots of options, or you can bring your own food or have food delivered. I would go there every day.

Ann Arbor YMCA: what do users think?
Jason Moore: One of my favorite places in Ann Arbor. Great for families.
Kyra Wallace: i love it the kids have fun the pools are great and we have fun!
Daniel Wirth: Sauna?
William Bryan: I really want to like the A2 Y. I have tried so hard. My son really needs the family pool, but we'll probably migrate to Liberty Athletic Club at some point soon. The facility is fairly new but starting to show its age, and the location can be a pro or con depending on where you live in town. It's relatively cheap, but not even the cheapest game in town. As a nonprofit that still carries relatively moderate membership fees, you'd expect a bit more than surface-level goodwill toward the community. But as other posters have alluded to, the staff has serious gaps with training, skills and abilities. Some are really nice, but for many others there's just such a gap with training and skills. I've tried to set up a meeting with the membership manager about this, to no avail.Again, a lot of staff are really nice or giving it their best go and I don't fault the frontline folks when things go south there, but it can be a pretty shambolic place so shop around before signing up.
Virginia June: I want to join BUT, the pool needs to be thoroughly cleaned (shocked, scrubbed thoroughly). It is in awful condition! I am surprised no one has gotten sick yet! NO SAUNA STILL!! What would I be paying for exactly??
Maurice Winston: This gym isn’t meant for ppl who are serious about gains.
somaiya rahman: the pool was a different color
Butter Potatoes: If having the right tool for the job is important, then these guys are set, because the pool manager is the ultimate tool.
Chelsea Bozzo: Nice clean facility and the staff are nice. But when it comes to a gym atmosphere something is missing. They don’t play any music, they don’t have a lot of weightlifting equipment or machines. They do have an indoor track and pools, but compared to other Y facilities it’s not the best one.
Mario Sanchez Gumiel: Somehow disappointed since I came back after the Covid-19 lockdown. The price is more or less the same, and although I understand times are complicated, sometimes it is not worth of it. Very difficult to find lanes to swim if you are not in a swim lesson, team, etc. I also think the place should be open in the evenings during the weekends. Not everybody wakes up at 5:30am.
itsjadeice: very good
Tyler Sabo: Always busy, can't find parking that you don't have to pay for. I pay enough for a membership.
Rob Crozier: My wife was kicked by a lifeguard.
Kristina Elkins: Rrally great price for a gym. Some classes are included in the basic package but not all. The staff are friendly and the facility is always clean. A very welcoming gym environment for anyone!
Alex Lee: So I go here for the gym for like a month while I am here but my home base is Austin, and I have to say I am very impressed with the YMCA of Ann Arbor. It's very clean, has pretty much everything you cam think of.I still would prefer the WCC gym though
Liz Weamer: I love the Ann Arbor YMCA. My primary reason for going there is Child Watch. If you have young kids and don’t know about it, you need to. I have a baby and a preschooler and Child Watch is the only reason that I can get any reasonable amount of exercise. They hire fantastic, loving staff and my kids always have a happy time there. I want to thank whomever came up with the idea. If it weren’t for them I’d have an aching back and clogged blood vessels. It’s like having a babysitter included in the price of your membership. Yes, please. Also: the place is beautiful and spotless. Nice people go there, and nice people work there.
Xiaomeng Wei: The summer camp is the worst! I have witnessed the staffs were shouting at the children, loud whistling to get the kids in line. My 6 years old son have been to 5 different camps so far, he said this is “ the worst one! They were treated like dogs.”The worst thing is that when I wanted to contact someone to talk about it, left numbers of voice mail, no one response or nobody there! I called by the end of August when the camp still running, The person in charged of the camps is not coming back until October!!!
Blair Buckley: My review is mostly from the point of view of the fitness classes so keep in mind I haven't had much experience with other aspects of this Y. The facility is quite nice and the pool is great. The staff is nice and mostly friendly (mostly college students it seems), although they often don't seem to know what's going on, especially with fitness classes. I've been pretty impressed by the fitnesses instructors they have found--this was better than I expected. The communication about fitness classes is really poor, overall...not just to students but I've seen poor communication from the Y to teachers as well...not telling them when the Y is closed for construction, when there's break in classes. So then teachers don't know either, and the Y often doesn't communicate with people by email about class cancellations, etc. Class updates aren't part of the standard text updates either..I can't figure what those are for...it seems like they only update about the pool and the bathroom. In addition, the web site (which is clunky overall) isn't always accurate for which classes are actually happening and which ones aren't, so you really have to call the front desk and sometimes they don't even know. They really don't seem to have much of a system checking people into classes, either--sometimes they check your punch card or online registration, sometimes they don't. You have to pay a lot extra in top of a membership for most of the fitness classes at this Y (maybe that's true of others Y's as well) so it's pretty frustrating to have to deal with the communication issues and mis-management of these when you're paying so much for them. On the plus side, they do have a pretty variety of class offerings, including several different types of dance classes, which I've appreciated.
Krista S: Awesome facility and extraordinarily accommodating and friendly staff. The childcare team goes above and beyond any gym I have belonged to previously. They snuggle the babies and have the older kids running, creating art, and laughing. The kids are not just being watched, they are getting a fun experience! There are many things that make the Y great (clean facility, great workout equipment, warm zero entry pool, indoor track...) but the friendly atmosphere is what really makes it my favorite gym!
Arman: I personally love the staff. The programs dedicated to the community are amazing, and to top that, the building is also a extremely new, high quality, modern building. The membership prices are high but definitely worth the pay!
Tom B: Really nice people, great equipment. Locker rooms need a little work though.

Community Day Care: what do users think?
Rachel Ufer: CDC is one of Ann Arbor’s top preschools. The teachers and faculty are incredible, the programs are creative and inspiring yet still provide my daughter with structure. She has learned so much socially, physically, emotionally and intellectually and we are so grateful to have them in our lives and be a part of the CDC community.
