Hillary Vandenberg: I had my wedding here on 10/1/22 and words cannot accurately describe how happy I am with how it all turned out. The best thing about this venue is it is all inclusive. You don’t have to hire a wedding planner who keeps track of several different vendors and worry about them all showing up. The venue takes care of the food, alcohol, tables, chairs, and linens and gives you a place to get ready the day of. It was so nice not having to worry about the small details so I could focus on the more important things.What makes this place really stand out among the other venues is the general manager, Greg. He really did go above and beyond in every way possible to give us the wedding of our dreams. When we were touring venues, we spoke to a few different managers and they all paled in comparison to Greg. When talking to him you could tell he genuinely enjoyed what he did and cared about each wedding he facilitated. He was so attentive and helpful throughout the entire process. He also responds to emails and inquiries quickly, which was helpful during the last few months of planning.After the wedding we received many compliments and the thing that really stood out to a lot of our guests was the food. Many people commented that the food was much better than your average wedding food and they could not believe how great the appetizers were. I think the most talked about wedding topic has been the appetizers. The best choice I made regarding the wedding was ordering the honey and goat cheese fried phyllo puffs. They were amazing!I really can’t recommend the Ann Arbor City Club enough! Choosing this venue to host my wedding was the best choice I’ve ever made

We booked the city club during Covid from a virtual tour, with our fingers crossed that it was as nice as it looked over FaceTime - it was beyond our expectations! The venue/grounds are gorgeous, the food is great, and Greg is the BEST! He is so easy to work with and is great with communication. We had a wonderful time, and all of our guests raved about the place! Hands down the best wedding decision we made. (June 2022)

Staff was professional and great, special shout out to Jonny who seemed genuinely interested in everybody being happy. The person tending bar was fine but didn't seem too happy. Not sure if they did the catering but the samosas were great, the other appetizers could use some work. At dinner the beef was perfectly cooked and I was pretty amazed that everyone I spoke with also had great beef. I'll assume the fish/chicken/vegetarian were also good though I didn't really talk about food that wasn't in my immediate vicinity.Overall a very well run place to have an event.

wtfryer: We had our wedding here on 4/23/22 and were so incredibly happy that we chose this venue! We had the entire house, grounds, and ballroom to ourselves for the entire day which made it so much easier to get ready there and to set everything up. Greg, the venue coordinator/manager was AMAZING to work with. He was very accommodating and responsive with any/all questions that we had. He made sure that our wedding went smoothly on the day of and acted as a day of coordinator which was super helpful! The food was amazing and we had so many compliments on it. Our guests were so impressed with the venue and we couldn't have found a more perfect place! Would highly recommend!

Phillip Hayes: The staff here for the most part did an excellent job. The food was good. I just can't give them five stars because of a few small hiccups. I do many weddings and I can honestly say I've never been told that someone was ready for something when they clearly were not and had no clue it was time. It was more like the venue was ready not the party. We made it work and got it done though. The other takeaway I had was during the indoor ceremony the venue wanted to use their house system for the mic which unfortunately had static and feedback. I personally test and check all my gear prior to letting anybody do anything on it to prevent just this from happening. Outside of this overall it was a great event and a nice little venue. With a few minor changes I could definitely give this a 5 star review.

trish dagle: Lovely place. Lots of quiet areas to get away from the DJ if you need a break. Smallish, but great staff. HOWEVER..do NOT get the Shepard's pie. Absolutely horrible.

I signed up with a friend and we have had the most exciting fun you can imagine. Learning to row is very technical and very fun at the same time. Guarantee you will have a great time we’re learning something new. I highly recommend this activity as a family event. Sign up soon as the spots fill up fast!
