Isn’t the first rule of ironing clothes not having double lines?I understand that if you have double lines, it’s not easy to make them disappear completely at once. Since I got double lines from their pressing, I asked whether they can improve it by making the second line lighter so that it is not as obvious and outwards, but I was told that their employee (who worked for 40 years) can’t fix it after trying a few times. AD: This business is wonderful. I do not have a need to come often, but when I do, I always feel very well taken care of. Yes, as others have said, they are on the high end with prices. However, their work is impeccable. They stitched a blazer for me, and it was done with so much care and skill, the price was well worth it.Also, this place is 100% non toxic dry cleaner. That is not common. More work and money goes into that process. Be mindful of that the next time you complain about the price.To the guy complaining about his kilt; you could have just called the place and explained what you needed, instead of writing a bad review. Not everyone knows what a kilt is, let alone how to properly press one. That was your responsibility to either tell them, or assure they knew to press your kilt.I have been coming here for years, every piece of clothing has been perfect, skillfully done, and giving back timely.This business is incredible. Dennis Carmichael: Disappointed. Went to them with an unusual item due to the good reviews. They did fine with the normal things - jackets & slacks - but the kilt & fly plaid have to be redone. For the $60 or so it cost, I expected them to spend a minute or two just lining up the stitched pleats before pressing. Instead I got it back with a multiple bad creases & pressed-in wrinkles. It wouldn't have taken much care to do it right.

After they nearly ruined my husbands suit in a past visit and then argued and refused to give a refund for about 10 minutes, I decided it wasn't worth my going back to complain and be treated poorly over their mistake again. I got lazy and took my coat here even after the fight over the suit because its by my house, so that was my mistake. Don't take anything you value here.

They're always fast, do a great job, the gentleman that is usually working there is very polite, and I'm always surprised at how cheap it is. But on a recent phone call to find out if I forgotten 2 shirts, a women was extremely rude, she talked over me and when I said Iwanted to talk to the owner she claimed I was threatening her. Gregory Eschenauer: I sent them a very expensive jacket and asked them to protect it during cleaning (I have extensive experience working in a dry cleaner and aware of the process). I was very upset that the stitching was ruined and a button was ripped off the jacket. This was not cleaned as I asked. I am very upset and will not come back.

Rollin Bellfi: Stopped going there after they 'lost' my entire load of cleaning. Had some rare expensive irreplaceable flannel shirts and tailored dress pants. I returned on pickup day but without my pickup receipt. After giving them phone number and ID they said there was no such dry cleaning there. I went back the next day and asked them to check again. They were rude and gave same answer. About 6 months later I received a phone call that they recovered my receipt, but my clothes were given away for failure to claim. I lost $450 dollars from this cleaners and got a weak sorry and after visit to see about remedy they said there's nothing they can or would do.They have only one advantage - location. I do not recommend this cleaners they have problems. Go somewhere else.

Alexander Weiss: The best way I could describe Iris Cleaners: they treat each customer as if their life depends on making the customer happy. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. If you need your dry cleaning done by a certain time, they initiate that offer and have always been able to fulfill it for me. They fixed a torn sleeve on my shirt for no extra charge. Honestly, every time I walk out of the cleaners, I feel as if I was undercharged considering the level of great service I received. I highly recommend this business to everyone and have always had a positive experience.

Aaron Vrolijk: I was unimpressed by their cleaning services, but I would give them 3 stars. However, I continue to get appointment reminders since I had them clean my apt. I did not make these appointments. The phone number on the reminders doesn’t work. I’ve emailed multiple times with no response. And the phone number on their website doesn’t work. Very frustrating. At least they have not charged me thus far. Just be careful if you chose to give them your credit card information.

Chris Kleindorfer: I tried and tried to like this company. Everything started well (except for the price. Roughly double what I was paying in Cincinnati) about 2 years ago. The first crew I got was good and usually showed up on time but after 8-12 months the people cleaning changed about every 2 months with varying degrees of work quality and dependability or even showing up. I think I went close to 2 months without a cleaning service and absolutely no call from House in Order. I finally gave up the week before thanksgiving and notified them I no longer needed their services. No response at all. Don’t waste your money with this nonsense. Chris K

Ian Gold: I purposely allowed time to pass prior to writing this review so my emotions would not get in the way of the facts.My fiancé and I recently purchased a home in A2, and opted to hire House and Order to do a "move-in cleaning" - worst experience I have ever had with a cleaning agency! 1) We asked them NOT to bring any cleaning materials, as we did not want them bringing rags, vaccum cleaners, and brooms that had been used in other peoples homes to avoid cross contamination. Well, at some point Amanda and Rebecca took the large stack of rags that they initially left by our front door, and integrated them with the NEW rags we purchased. Thanks to their inability to do as we requested, we now have to purchase a new set of rags. 2) You would think a move-in cleaning involves cleaning inside of cabinets throughout an entire house, cleaning inside of the refrigerator, washing floorboards and walls where needed, but NO! To our shock, we were told at the end of their day that we had to request / specify all of those things before hand - only for the owner to later state that the inside of the cabinets and refrigerator should, in fact, have been included in "move-in cleaning". 3) Upon expressing our displeasure with Kandi (the manager/house cleaning trainer) via telephone, she refused to take accountability for the poor quality of service - which is a direct reflection on the training they received from her - and instead responded, "Sir, we are NOT a window cleaning company!"At this point I lost my cool. Instead of acknowledging, or giving us any reason as to why her cleaners did NOT clean inside cabinets, the refrigerator, or wash walls and floor boards, she opted to focus in on "cleaning windows"?! To clarify, we never stated that the workers did not "clean the windows", rather we stated that the cleaners did NOT clean out cob webs that were inside of the window sill. Sensing my frustration, she passed the phone to the owner, who also refused to take accountability for, in essence, the poor job Kandi did training the cleaners. After hearing him also attempt to deflect responsiblility by stating, "Sir, we are not a window cleaning company" (that must be their go-to line of defense), I demanded a full-refund! It's important to note that, despite hiring the services of several cleaning agencies throughout the course of my lifetime, I have NEVER demanded a full refund. In the end, we agreed on a refund amount that would enable us to recoup our fee, less the cleaners hourly wage.To have people come into our new home, and 1) blatantly diregard / ignore our request, 2) do a poor job of cleaning, and 3) for ownership and management to refuse to take responsibility for poor quality of service, made my fiance and I feel like House and Order were attempting to take advantage of us. Being born and raised in Ann Arbor, this was NOT the welcome home I expected.To House and Order's owner and staff: though we will not be hiring your services again, my hope is that you all realize that people opening the doors to their homes is not an invitation to take advantage of them, rather it should be considered as a privilege / honor to serve your customers to the very best of your ability - which you failed to do in our case.DO BETTER.Despite our disatisfaction, we still gave each of the cleaners a tip. We are not heartless people, rather we simply expect the best service for the price.
