Jason Jones: We had an inspection done on a house we were going to purchase. From everything we had looked at the house seemed a go, and a good fit. Thankfully for us Patrick at IIG did our inspection and helped reveal issues with the roof, foundation, water damage, etc that would have cost us more money than I'd like to think about. Patrick was very thorough and also very patient and informative as he would show and explain each thing he had found. I would recommend IIG (especially Patrick) to anyone buying a house in the area, and make sure to be there for the inspection, you'll learn a ton! We did not end up purchasing, yet the cost of the inspection was the best money we've spent, as it saved us many thousands in the long run!

I can tell that this must be a wonderful place to work by all the positive attitudes.We were lucky enough to have 2 experienced men come to our new home on inspection day - Kyle Burmis and Jeff Peterson. Both were incredibly professional and approachable and did not mind that I followed them around with a notebook and flashlight. Alexander Johnson: Kyle came out to a property we made an offer on, and as first time buyers we really had no idea what to expect. Fortunately he was patient and thorough with the inspection helping us understand what he was looking at so we could ask questions about future maintenance. Kyle was very friendly and kind also which made the whole situation much more comfortable. I would definitely recommend Fletcher Inspections, and Kyle in particular for any other first-time buyers that want to know their investment is sound.
Puga: I recently needed a Pest Inspection for VA Loan and was referred to Fletcher's for the service. They were very quick to get out to my house, very polite and professional. They sent Thomas out to do the inspection and he was great. He did a very thorough job and recommended treatments, he went above and beyond with the information and help he gave us to get our issues resolved. Asiyeh Golabchi: I invested in a home inspection, pest inspection, and radon test when considering a property to purchase. The home inspection conducted by Dan was satisfactory as he identified several issues that made me decide to withdraw from the deal. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication between the administrative desk and Dan that caused a delay in the radon test. Furthermore, the pest inspection did not provide comprehensive information and seemed like a waste of money.

Matt Jensen: It was very easy to award Alex 5 stars for this review. I have dealt with a decent amount of housing inspections when buying or selling property and while they are rarely awful, they often seem almost random in what the inspector finds or doesn't.In Alex's case, he could have earned the 5 stars several times over. He was super knowledgeable, and having come from a contracting background, he knows a lot about the actual building and repair of the things he sees that need to be fixed.He was also very thorough. He left us feeling like he had seen every accessible inch of the house and knew what was right or wrong or MIGHT be an issue for us.He was super friendly, warm, and accommodating. The first day he came to do the inspection, we had a very frustrating power outage due to wind in the area. It would have been understanding for him to be annoyed by this, or perhaps there would have been a service charge associated with the drive out to see us. But no such issue came up. He looked at what he could, commented on what he saw, and rescheduled for the rest with a smile that put me, my wife, and my Mom at ease with the whole deal.And somehow, while being warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough, he is also very fast! He was on time and done well within the allotted time frame he quoted us.I think we would give him 10 stars if we could. This is my first house inspection in the Ann Arbor, MI area, and I hope I won't need too many more! But I will absolutely call Alex Santos every time I need one from now on.UPDATE 11/22We hired Alex again :) It was absolutely the best decision we could have made AGAIN. His inspection report literally saved us tens of thousands of dollars. I can't put it more succinctly than that. He's the best and you should absolutely hire him.

I'm currently renting the home I'm buying so all of my stuff is in the house and he was respectful and careful of my things. He contacted separated inspectors for radon and sewer for me so I didn't have to find them myself, which I really appreciated. I had an electrician come in later who praised Alex for doing a good job identifying the electrical concerns. Overall I would highly recommend.
Nolan Halliday: Alex @ MI Home and Business Inspections performed 2 inspections on our newly built Pulte home. One pre-drywall and the other pre-closing. He was prompt, thorough, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He found a few items that the city inspector missed (and still passed) that the builder was willing to correct. On the final inspection, he noted a few "nice to have" items that improved the fit and finish and made our home more efficient, such as "sparse" attic insulation in a few areas. Tonja L: Patrick was pivotal in credibly identifying safety, code, workmanship, quality, and structural issues on our home addition and garage project done by a Mason, Michigan builder who, despite being verified as licensed and insured with a 5 star review rating , proved to be a failure on all levels of home building. Until the inspection with Patrick of The Buyer’s Inspector, we had no idea how grossly misplaced our trust was in this builder.When COVID-19 shutdown our project we began noticing quality problems. This led us to hire Patrick from The Buyer’s Inspector. He was thorough, detailed, and spot on for the major problems as well as minor issues he identified during his inspection, including the multiple structural deficiencies. He recommended we hire a structural engineer to investigate these deficiencies in detail and the engineer verified all of Patrick's findings.It has been a very trying time legally fighting for our project to be done right but we thank Patrick for identifying all the problems using his extensive knowledge, experience, and understanding of Michigan's Building Construction Codes and industry standard building practices. Without his help we would have likely been stuck with this horrible build project that is riddled with safety, structural, workmanship, quality, and code issues. Jennifer Thomas: My experience with Patrick can be summarized as thorough, detailed, and honest from start to finish. From my first phone call with him, it was clear that Patrick truly had my best interest at heart. He explained the entire inspection process, including how long we would be at the home and what he would and would not review during the inspection. Patrick even took the time to pull up the property online while we were on the phone to advise me on his concerns and some additional services to consider before buying the home; no other inspector we called put forth this effort.Upon arriving at the home, Patrick quickly set up shop. On the kitchen counter, he immediately laid out his tools, radon detector, and the snacks he was kind enough to bring for us. From there, we systematically began inspecting each room of the home with Patrick narrating his thoughts aloud. Blake Girardot: Patrick provided the most detailed, thorough home inspection I or any of my friends have ever seen. His experience and expertise across the full range of systems in a house was incredibly valuable. He does not gloss over things that other home inspectors typically do. As others have said, expect to spend several hours with him in the home, much more than a typical home inspector and the seller/real estate agent might tell you that is not possible. Insist on Patrick's time frame, it is not up to the seller to limit your inspector's time, but they might try when they hear it is Patrick doing the inspection :)
Karl: Patrick is certainly a detail-loving inspection analyst: be prepared to spend 7 hours with him for the inspection of a single family home; including waiting times of up to 25 min., where he accepts and answers phone calls. I feel like his charges reflect this enormous time effort, that's partially due to the advice he is including, how he personally would handle things. If you were not aware to clean the gutters from debris at least annually or remove lint from your dryers hot air exhaust: then he is your guy!
Sarah: Patrick is amazing! He actually cares about you and is concerned about the home you are purchasing so he is very detailed. He will show you how to do some minor repairs and suggests things you might want to fix for minimal cost. He takes his time and is very diligent. I have used Patrick twice now as he is unbelievable. Would highly recommend to anyone.
