Oz's Music: what do users think?
Jacqui Blue: I called a few weeks ago asking about oboe lessons for my son and was told someone would give me call back with information. That never happened. I call today to inquire about renting an oboe and getting lessons and Chris tells me there are none available (instruments or teachers) which is fine, but I then ask "could you possibly point me in the right direction for where else I could look" and I get a flat "No." I feel like this customer service experience was extremely subpar and most of that was to do with how the conversation was handled and the obviously dismissive tone I received from this person. I grew up within walking distance to Oz's and always thought highly of them. Very disappointing. I miss Carty's.
Jim Zemina: The crew at Oz's Music is very receptive, and will give advice as needed for your music experience. If you want to step out and try something new they will encourage and offer options for lessons. From a Sitar (remember George Harrison - The Beatles) to a Ukulele (Jake Shimabukuro - Uke man! and Taylor Swift..many more). 💜🧡💜
Donald Adiska: Nice local music shop with friendly staff willing to help. They do special orders when they don't have what you want.
Erik: I sent my guitar here to be repaired and setup. When I got it back it was nigh unplayable. I had to take it somewhere else to get it fixed up, which was cheaper than the initial flawed setup to boot.It seems like other people have had good experiences which is why I chose here initially. I won't do so again.
Isabella Ingendahl: Extremely nice and helpful people here, very glad I stopped in! I ADORE my new guitar, it’s exactly what I needed and I even stayed within budget lol
Charles Saadiq: I’ve visited this cool shop a couple times over the last month. Chris has been extremely helpful in assisting with my interest in learning the guitar. He did a professional set-up on my guitar which greatly enhanced its playability. I plan to start lessons with Chris soon and will continue shopping here. I highly recommend!
Leland Myllari: Most well organized music shop I've ever been to.
Samuel Allen: Very friendly service. Had a great experience purchasing a Godin hollow body
Amber Music: They made me feel really comfortable here. Only good vibes!
Austin Liu: Very knowledgeable and helpful staff, offered to let me try out a wah pedal (thanks Sean!)
Quinn Smith: Best music store in the area by a longshot, staff actually cares
Mierman A2 (MiermanA2): Oz's music is a awesome place. Been there twice and both times the people where friendly and helpful.
Doug Mourer: Guy was great i know nothing about music and he walked a noob like me through everything will spend money there again
Zack Wujcik: Excellent service and support, not just for your guitar but for your amp too. I’d recommend for experienced player and absolute noob alike will find refuge in the caring hands of “Oz’s Music”.
Valerie Brighid Snowdon AKA Eartha Sundance: Ann Arbor's historic and wonderful music store. Buy LOCAL and support an institution that provides musicians young and old with the basics and the best.
James Skornicka: The gentleman sold me an awesome Ibanez guitar, a blackstar amp and all the essentials for cheaper than guitar center plus friendlier service.
Anthony Marchese: liked them at first but they sold me a lemon and have a no return policy. waste of $150
Rick Risley: Very cool place and even cooler staff. We brought the kids there for an event where they got to play many different instruments. The instructor was excellent working with them and has a ton of knowledge about education and music.
eric wade: A wonderful place to shop and very helpful. They allowed me an opportunityto fulfill something that I've always wanted to do. I'm writing this during a time of quarantine and they were insightful and helpful with their curbside pickup. They were super clean and respected the rules of social distancing.
Yosuke Kanii: Picked up a nice ukulele for a great price.
Jeff Teucke: Needed my Peavey Amp fixed and Stephanie triaged it in a day and I had it back within 3 days, good as new. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend these guys!

School of Rock: what do users think?
Joy Meadows: Both of my kids have been going to School of Rock for over a year and absolutely love it! There has never been a day when they don't want to go. The instructors do a great job making it fun yet educational and my kids love being able to choose the songs they want to learn. I've recommended School of Rock to close friends (that have also loved it) and I will continue to recommend them to anyone looking for a great music school.
Tara McKnight: School Of Rock on Jackson is an amazing establishment. You will be greeted by a warm smile every time and you will have professional instructors. Your lesson will be tailored to your needs and interests. I love School of Rock!
Joshua Carson: Lame and bad business practices. :(
Brian Riggs: Great place learn to play music. Very nice and helpful staff and owners.

Guitar Center: what do users think?
CASEY HOFF: Lots of acoustic and electric guitars to be had here.
Ray Yang: Went in to sell my old banjo and trade up. Alec the manager was the kindest and most helpful guitar center staff I’ve ever met and he runs his crew incredibly well. I will definitely be coming around to get future gear as long as Alec is around!
Zack K: Guitar Center has lost its flavor over the years. This is not the best GC in the region… I’d opt for the Southfield location over this one
J Pete: What happened to Guitar Center in Canton?!?! You go in every employee was standing around laughing while people need help. The store got leaks coming from the ceiling, buckets are kind the store catching water. Go to check out a floor model piece of equipment wanting to spend money and it’s broken not working properly. Why would you want to spend money on when the display there for you to use is making the product look bad. Come on Guitar center you got to do better. The only solution I got was to go to another store, they may have floor display items to try out in better condition. Smh 🤦🏽‍♂️
Christina: Martin went out of his way to help me make my son's birthday gift extra special! Superb customer service. We knew what we wanted to get our little guy and Martin ran and grabbed it and made sure it was all there. Great customer service, I love that all kindness is not dead.
beav909: Poor customer service. Walked in with the intention of spending 3k+ on a new keyboard and couldn't get the attention of anyone in the place. I think I saw 4 employees and not a one even looked at me let alone asked if they could help. I stood at the pro audio/keyboard register for 5 minutes trying to be patient. Still, no one came over. Fine. You don't want my business, I'll go elsewhere.
Brent Wellman: This place surprises me. I bought my first guitar online to pick up instore. When I picked it up the gentleman opened it up to show me and the guitar had no pick guard where there was supposed to be one. He sent me home with it anyway. It’s my first guitar (Martin D-10) so I thought maybe the guard was in the box still. Then I signed up for four lessons. The instructor I had spent almost a whole 30 minute session texting on his phone. I quit the lessons after my third to go to Northville Guitar. Then I had a string break while I was tuning the guitar (because I’m brand new to guitar). I called up to Canton Guitar Center that I bought this 1000.00 guitar from and asked if they could help me change one string and they said I had to wait two weeks for there tech to get back from vacation and that it would cost 30.00 to change one string. I’m giving them 2 stars because the gentleman that schedules and runs the lessons was a great guy. Guitar Center in Canton showed me exactly why brick and mortar stores are going the way of the dodo. Hey guitar center, it literally took me five minutes to change the one string from a YouTube video. When you have a chance to service a customer (especially one that just spent over 1000.00 on a guitar with you) take it.
Jay Macarus: Got everything you need and more including friendly and helpful staff!
John Shook: Absolutely horrible customer service. I would not recommend going to this location.
D. “D. Boogie” Washington: Pretty good, actually no one in the store on a Wed afternoon.
Mark Dunham: Exceptional staff. That location has everything needed 🎵 🎶 🎵 🎶 🎵 🎶 🎵 🎶 🎵.
Carlyle Carvalho: Great store. No pressure to buy while browsing
Bob A: I recently bought a used Heritage 150 electric guitar at this location and the whole experience couldn’t have been better. The store is well stocked with everything from low priced beginners gear all the way up to anything a touring pro could need. The staff, Milton and Alec were great and the store manager took the time to make sure I was happy with my purchase. I’m a very happy customer!
Fred Crandal: Did not find what I needed but the staff was knowledgable and friendly. A good experience.
Jack miller: Been a regular here for a very long time. Selection is plentiful and staff is always helpful!
Pamela Mitchell: Nice place for instruments
Sherrie Miner: Helpful staff, quality merchandise
Christina Fisher: They have everything!!
Gerardo Pavone: I was at Guitar Center in Canton Michigan on December 12, 2022, to return two Remo synthetic djembe drums and exchange them with an authentic rope-tuned African djembe. I got first rate customer service, the two sales representative I dealt with were friendly, professional and the transaction went very smooth. Thank you.
Carol Konesko: Great place to shop for your musician !
Jesse Jennings: Nice place, and the employees are super knowledgeable and helpful.
