Crunch Fitness - Ann Arbor: what do users think?
Brittany W: I joined the gym specifically for the classes. They have two levels of membership which offer access to classes — one which includes some classes($$)and another which includes all ($$$). I have the level that includes some classes. When I joined, they had a wide variety of classes at Ann Arbor at this level. The mix and supplemental availability at the Ypsilanti location made me a happy customer. Even if I couldn’t find a class at Ann Arbor, I could do a class somewhat near by. Since May, they have cancelled more than half the classes. I used to be able to find classes to go to 6 days of the week, now I am lucky if I can find a class at my home location in my plan 3 days. Seems like they restructured with only the highest paying membership class in mind. When I asked a member of staff about it, they told me to simply upgrade. Definitely considering not renewing my contract.Update: I did not renew. The changes kept getting worse.TLDR—: Staff is nice otherwise and the gym is will kept, i just cannot believe how they have handled the group training classes, if this is a priority for you, give it some more thought.
John Buchner: Great gym! Professional staff, equipment is always cleaned, and broken items are fixed as soon as possible.Shout out to Austin Lamb for excellent personal training !
Max Douthit: Great
SaintB: Employees at the front are nice and they have plenty of free weights important, however the place is generally pretty dirty outside of the machines and the tanning beds almost never get wiped down after use. The free weights are the most important thing powerhouse may be a better option, cheap tanning is a draw you're better off checking out planet fitness. This sucks too because I really do like this location and it has a lot of potential. This is not an employee issue this is a management issue. Hope this helps anyone who's making a decision right now.
Mitch Hoyt: I really hate giving bad reviews. The staff are friendly for sure. But, they don’t maintain the equipment.
Frank S: This Crunch Fitness is well maintained, clean, and overall a healthy and motivating environment to reach your fitness goals. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for a drop in workout or full time membership!
Jay Richards: I really enjoy Crunch in Ann Arbor. The staff is friendly. They take cleanliness to a whole new level. I like that I can go in and get right on a treadmill without waiting. I remember having to pay quite a bit of money at a local gym I use to use. At $10 for the local membership and $20 for the multi-gym. No brainer!
Nick Ten Brink: Good gym, great sauna. I'm not much of a machine user, would be nice to have more flat benches - there's only two. Gets very busy 4-6 pm on weekdays
Hamza Baccouche: Clean, well run operation with friendly staff and a good selection of equipment. The manager, Ianna, went above and beyond to help with transferring my membership when moving out of town. Will definitely be coming back here.
Brian: Tldr: Great gym, people friendly/great community, has sauna and punching bags, not the most clean and equipment needs maintenance, can get crowded after work, cancelling memberships suck.Overall great gym. With that in mind, the best parts of of the gym are the people/community. Have yet to meet anyone I don't like! There's a sauna and punching bags which is nice because most gyms don't have those. I don't get personal training but the personal trainers I have met are friendly. There's only a few things keeping this from being a 5 star gym. The cleanliness isn't the best and the gym equipment needs more regular maintenance and more equipment (especially handles for cable machines). It does get pretty crowded around 3pm when people start getting off work during the week, so be mindful of that. There's 2 different types of Crunch Fitnesses, corporate and franchise. Your membership will not transfer between certain Crunch's and you have to start a new profile at certain ones. It sucks to cancel the memberships and they definitely don't make it easy on you.
Wood Mama: It's kind of like an elevated Planet Fitness. I like that the machines have instructions on how to properly use them. I also like that they have an app you can link your membership to and use to coordinate the class schedules.I am not a big fan of their locker room (women's). I was spoiled by the rec center locker room at WCC... They need to clean the locker room more than they do though for sure. The showers and floors are not very well maintained.I bought a year membership and am not mad about it. I paid for the membership that gets me classes and lets me go to any location. I have yet to take a class, but I have watched some while I do my normal routine and it seems good enough.
Kyle Chute: Pretty clean and not super busy most of the time. Lost many things and always had them given to the front.
Eric Zander: Great staff, plenty of space and equipment
Rachelle W: I’ve been attending this gym for a little over 2 years. Recently, it’s become too packed to work out efficiently (have to wait 20 minutes sometimes to use machines). So, I requested to cancel my membership, but I was four days too late to avoid the annual fee ($65 on top of monthly fees). I requested that they refund me this fee, which they obstinately denied. Despite being a corporation supposedly built on the value of working out, I found their inflexibility incredulous. If you’re looking for a cheap gym, this will do just fine. Just make sure you read the fine print and remember you’re just a tiny line of profit in the end. When requesting a bit of stretch, you’ll be sent a screenshot of your contract terms like a piece of capital instead of being met as a human who doesn’t keep a once-a-year charge in the front of their mind.
Bryan Caragay: Edit: it’s been over a month and the overhead lights above the benches are still flashing, making it almost unusable to actually use the benches without a headacheIt’s a fine gym, but things are ALWAYS broken, it’s wild. There’s been an overhead light blinking quickly for about 2 weeks now, 3 of the stair masters have been out of order for about the same time. It took them 2 months to fix a single bolt in the calf raise machine.Overall, you’ll get a good workout and feel fine, but the fine details of a gym are definitely not there.
Dark Knight: The gym is small, often super packed, they don't enforce their rules for using a dead lift pad/squat rack. The staff are so so, don't recommend coming here. Switch to the ypsi location and so much happier there.
Rick Sutton: All and all, good friendly environment. Cancellation process needs some work.
Adam Holman: Its nice to see that instead of listening to their userbase and getting another bench ( of which there are two, and their next closet crunch has atleast 5) they're now just limiting peoples time on benches. Clearly customers here want to lift weights over using cardio machines, but instead of adapting atall to the actual use of the facility, nothing is changing. Its sad to see, especially when other gyms I frequent are constantly getting new equipment.Edit in response to the comment from management:Hi! Glad I can do my part! I took down my initial review to give a new perspective, even though I'm not sure much has changed and my initial gripes are most definitely still valid. I'm not sure what policies would possibly limit the amount of flat benches that could be installed at crunch ann arbor, but it doesn't affect my review and is not a valid response to lack of equipment for members to use.I also don't understand why you're implying that you're doing clientele a favor by making the time limit 20 minutes instead of 15, but its laughable that you think people wouldn't discontinue membership with this sort of thing being enforced. It's not uncommon for strength training sets to have anywhere from3-4 minutes of rest in between sets on a bench or deadlift platform baked into programming, and with 5 working sets, that comes up to 15-20 minutes of REST per exercise. Factor in around a minute for actual movement of weight per set, thats another 5, comming in at 25 minutes with NO warmup. Its not uncommon and frequently taught to be warming up to your working weight with 3, sometimes 4 sets depending on how much weight you lift, so I'm confused as to how this would take less than 20 minutes. Sure, some people can use a bench for 20 minutes, but this is clearly not the ceiling for what is appropriate at a GYM. a place DEDICATED (or seemingly appearing to be until you pay for a membership and realize there's abismal customer service, even compared to cheaper gyms in the area) to an efficient and effective workout experience.
Jes K: I mean it's fine, way too small though. This is the 3rd week I've attempted to use one of the 2 benches they have and they're always being used. There's a fluorescent light above the Smith machine that is constantly blinking. So there's a health risk for photosensitive folks. There is a staff member who likes to leave the counter to flirt for close to an hour with a few of the guys who come in. It's a fine gym, but it's so small that it feels packed even in the slow times. Not a fan.
Sunir Majilya: Love this gym, the membership is very very reasonable, the people at the desks, the trainers and even other members are friendly. It’s one of the best gyms if not the best gym around for sure.
Jake K: The general manager, Dan Sherman, would rather bribe people for fake reviews than put in real effort to make customers happy and improve the gym. Take care of your customers instead of scamming them. This gym needs a GM that actually cares about the gym and the day to day experiences, and spends time wisely and proactively to build satisfied clients. Cheating will not get you far.

Anytime Fitness: what do users think?
Malik Browne: After visiting for 4 days the key fob I was given would not let me enter the gym. I was told they froze the account in order to charge me in May instead of charging me halfway through April as agreed. They charged me $200 and would not issue a refund for an account they froze and didn't give me access to for 3 weeks. Trash gym. Trash people.
Brian Klingenberg: Good little spot, some spots are a little tight but it's never too busy.
Bird Bird: 🖕
Jessika Dixon: Serious health risks on here. I nearly had heat stroke due to the unbearable temperature
Michael Heard: I absolutely love this gym. Best place I've had a membership yet. Always open, clean, and a great selection of weights and machines. Don't utilize them myself, but the trainers are knowledgeable and friendly.
Marshall Hayes: I would highly recommend going to another gym. Anytime Fitness will quickly rush you into signing an unbreakable year long contract without sending you a confirmation email detailing what you just signed up for. That is not the end of the world as their rate is not terrible, but once you use their "free" first time training session they will have you sign a binding contract to once a week, biweekly, or whatever you sign for a year without being able to change it. And once again they will not send you a confirmation email. Each training session is pretty expensive at $58 for 30 minutes and you must pay that weekly (or whatever you signed up for) even if you do not receive a training session. I like the trainer there, however they have their own gym at home that they do training out of and would recommend just working with them directly if you want a trainer. Unless things change with their contract policy I recommend you go to another gym that offers more amenities and does not rush you into signing year long contracts you are forced to pay (even if you cannot afford it).
Jacob Gorzinski: There's a trainer there, no idea his name but he's an older guy with the top of his right ear pierced, that is going to get someone seriously injured someday.Saw him, with 2 people straight , encouraging them to lift way over what they should be attempting. He loaded a bar for squats up to 315, the lifter got down 6 inches and couldn't get it back up AND THE TRAINER TOLD HIM TO TRY IT AGAIN. The lifter instantly failed and the trainer, trying to spot him, couldn't even get it up - they luckily had safety arms setup. Can't believe this guy is at a gym giving advice to novice lifters.
KIMBERLY FLAHERTY: Management was excellent. Very friendly and welcoming. Enjoy the vibes
J Cav: Love it! Open 24/7
Peter Hedlesky: Visiting from out of town, I had found this Anytime Fitness to have a great selection of equipment and I got in a very satisfying workout. The space is about half the size of the one I usually go to, but it’s well utilized. It’s also clean and appears well maintained. The only negative I can think of is that the music is a little too loud.
Joshua Cheng: They have a good amount of equipment and the staff are friendly. Haven't had much problem with the equipment I want being in use. 24 hours is nice to fit my schedule, as well as finding times when people aren't there (when covid was a large concern)
A Touch of Class: My favorite gym by farrrrrr! Love working out here because of the cleanliness and just all around fun atmosphere. The manager is very kind and full of jokes! Wouldn’t go anywhere else!
Drew McLaughlin: Absolutely the best gym in the Ann Arbor area! Extremely clean and very well maintained! Mitch the manager, goes above and beyond to help you with whatever you need while visiting the gym!!!
Emily McLaughlin: Great staff and great atmosphere. Highly recommend
Quetez Holmes: Its a great gym, very well maintained and has everything you need. They have very good personal trainers and management is always solid. Mitch, especially, has been very helpful.
David Corcoran: I love this gym. The employees are very friendly and welcoming. They also encourage and assist anyone with any fitness questions no charge. The membership cost is a little more than average but it is well worth it. The gym never is busy enough to where you will have to wait for machines or equipment to start your work out. And it’s one of the few gyms nowadays that is still 24/7 so you can enter whenever. Overall I would and do recommend this gym to family, friends and anyone who wants to take their physical fitness seriously.
Jennifer DiPaola: Probably the best gym I’ve ever been a member of. Management can make or break your experience bc they set the tone for the whole place, and that is definitely true here. Truly kind people run this place, and they want you to be a part of something good here. Gym itself is clean, neat, personal.
Gabrielle Toreja: The Manager Mitchell is super friendly and brought life to this gym. He is the light at the end of the tunnel. Everyone is very respectful. They have all of the equipment you could want and the facilities are very clean. As a pretty knowledgeable gym-goer I'm positive everything you need, including Mitchell, is here. Also, Craig has the mile time to beat so come run. Best gym in Ann Arbor :)
darek krolczyk: Positive:Professionalism,QualityGreat place to work out. Mitch is very professional and helpful
Cassidy Wood: Positive:QualityClean, everyone’s nice, open all the time very convenient for people with busy schedules. Would highly recommend!
Eric: Cool

Anytime Fitness: what do users think?
James Springer: Clean faculty with all the necessary equipment. Kind and competent staff. On the small side so I choose times that avoid a crowd.
W: In response to the reply: yes I was at this location
Isaac Hurley: Great equipment (especially the Precor cardio equipment). Great staff. Friendly, welcoming, responsive. The layout is great, lots of options for exercises, but it never feels crowded. Always clean. I've really enjoyed being a member here.
sumanth veda: Very well maintained
John Jourden: I have been coming for a number of years, great place for a workout. Owners and staff always nice and friendly.
Max Francisco: Rusty, dusty, and out of order equipment. Monthly fees are meant to fix these problems, or why am I even paying for something that doesn’t work. Do better.
Rose Shamoon: Edit: Management still can't be honest! Seriously, take your business somewhere else.Awful customer service and poor business practices on behalf of management. Poor communication from all of the staff. I bought 4 training sessions in Jan 2022 and used 3/4 of them. I was unable to complete the last one because of moving around and some health concerns - which my trainer was aware of. I was never once told that the sessions have an expiration date; I was not kept in contact with the staff about this. The trainer I had was not helpful in this regard and didn't bother to help me even when I expressed interest in furthering my sessions with her. The gym is overpriced, and the staff clearly does not have enough integrity or respect for their clients - take your business elsewhere, which I am glad to have done even before trying to give the place a second chance.
Manal Alrawashdeh: I was disappointed with the service that the staff who I saw to get information about the membership. I called last week to set up an appointment to see the gym and get some information and I set up an appointment to come this week but it happened that I couldn’t make it and called again to reschedule it.I talked to a lady who I told her that I have an appointment and need to reschedule but she was saying that she can’t see my name on the schedule at all and she had to add me on the schedule that I can come the next day. On the next day I went to the gym on the time that i was suppose to be there and the lady was confused and had to tell her that I have an appointment but she sounds doesn’t know what’s going on. She started to show me the gym and at the same time another lady walked in wants to see the gym but she doesn’t have any appointment and the lady who works there tried to finish with me as soon as possible without even providing me any information that I need to know about the membership because she wants to go and help the other lady who doesn’t have an appointment at all that day. Also, I was telling her that the guy who I spoke to before told me that because I work with UoM that I get 7 days trial to come and try the gym and when I was telling her that she said we can give you one day and we collect a deposit which this is not what the guy said to me.I was so excited before I go to see the gym and get a membership there but after the unprofessional way that lady did, I don’t consider anymore to get a membership there.
matt engelbert: Vic is fantastic! The facility is always clean. Been here many years, and never had a problem with the equipment (great variety, always clean) or other members. Highly recommend!
Nick Blackburn: Very clean gym. Friendly staff and gym members. Lots of cardio and weight equipment. Great place to workout.
Richard Levenberg: This is a wonderful gym. I have been to more than 200 gyms in the last 20 months because I travel a great deal.I had a stroke 23 months ago and I am trying to work out for 2130 consecutive days. Today was my 657th consecutive day working out. This Plymouth Road Ann Arbor, Michigan Anytime Fitness gym is one of my 2 favorite gyms in the entire country. Here are my reasons for loving this small Ann Arbor gym. 1) along with an Anytime Fitness gym in Wilton, CT and Chelsea, Michigan, this Plymouth Road Ann Arbor gym has the best and cleanest gym bathrooms of any gym in the country. The bathrooms (toilets) are very clean and are private and spacious. The showers are good quality as well and the water is nice and hot. 2) 3 of the elliptical machines (the older ones) have a great range of motion unlike most elliptical machines. 3) The upright stationary bike is awesome and has a working TV attached to it and I can watch Metv shows from the 1960s on it while biking 4) the calf machine is the best one I have ever used. 5) it is open 365 days a year 24 hours a day. 6) they don't play the music too loudly unlike most of the ATF gyms. If you would like to work out without music playing, they try their best to accommodate your request 7) they have a good situps board. 8) they are located two doors down from a great Sweetwaters coffee and tea shop. 9) The owner Sue and the employees Vic, Allen and Aruba work very hard to make this a great gym.
Rosalia G: Great gym! It's a small space, but has all that's needed for a thorough workout. The staff and other members are friendly and the place is clean, even during the busy times.
James Rees: Love the fact it's close and open 247. Staff are great. Never had any issues.
Steven Oliver: I just joined ATF and was not sure what to expect. I have never been in a gym. I stayed active year round, and also my work was very demanding on the body. Now life threw me a curve ball. I'm in Physical Therapy for a few weeks, but I will need to add a workout schedule beyond that. When I walked in I was greeted by Vic. He was great. Met me with a smile asked how he could help. I explained my situation and he made me feel at ease and welcomed. Took me on a tour, discussed how things work, explained what they offer above the membership. I was extremely excited to get started.I first thought it best to speak to my physical therapist (Lauren) first. While waiting for that to happen Alan (personal trainer) called and discussed training sessions with me. We talked about everything and he listened and understood. We decided on a date for the day after my visit with Laureen. It was great to see him reach out. (especially for free sessions)Jump to a month ahead to today. Alan is now working with me and Lauren's recommendations for best results. Alan is very knowledgeable in what he does. He is far above and beyond any trainers from those "drive thru" gyms. He's has the degrees to prove it or just sit and talk with him, he's good at what he does! The gym itself is PERFECT for me. Everything was clean and looked new. Shower rooms were roomy and nice. Has lockers to store items. I keep odd hours so at 2am on a any given day I can go workout. I really enjoy that the members there are very nice and are of all ages. It's a fun atmosphere and relaxed environment. No pick up joint, no "gym buddies" fluttering around, and no pressure. Everyone works at there own pace. I do small low impact moves to target certain muscles. I look like a dying fish on the mat. 😅 Then a much bigger guy can be benching twice my weight few feet away. 🏋‍♂️Or someone taking a bike ride to unwind.🚴‍♂️There is no intimidation. I feel everyone has the same mindset. Everyone there to be a better version of themselves. 😃
August Decz: This gym is wonderful. Great community, wonderful trainers, and lots of variability in the machines. Not to mention they have stiff AND deadlift bars so I can actually pull slack properly. 10/10 will be back next summer
Angela Richards: The skilled coaches helped me figure out how to adjust some of the movements so that every workout was a challenge-but totally possible. The community is genuinely supportive to all, no matter where you are in your fitness journey.
Richard Sheets: Inquired about a membership, Vic called me within minutes to set up a personal tour, We agreed on a date and time, I show up, the owner greets me, has no idea who I am, and instructs me that Vic is not in today, nor is he usually. Place seems nice, equipment seems sufficient, some staff behaves rather disrespectfully.
Phil Polderdyke: Nice gym, very clean.
Kaiwen: Very friendly place! Everything I needed was all here.
Shashank Chandrasekaran: Gym is practically empty always. Equipments are always clean and the playlist is always gas 🔥
Todd Newman: Very nice gym. The owners and staff are very friendly and accommodating. The place is quite clean and the staff is constantly vacuuming, scrubbing, wiping etc. Like any gym, peak times should be avoided, but even at that you rarely have to wait for a specific piece of equipment. There are almost always treadmills, bikes and ellipticals open.

Orangetheory Fitness: what do users think?
Ryan Koeller: Wonderful coaches and staff! Everyone there is so supportive, motivating and positive 💪 The equipment and music are also top notch😎
Lindsay O'Rourke: The staff and instructors are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. It is a one of a kind workout that is unlike anything I’ve seen. It is all about progress and competing against yourself. I can get strength and endurance instead of just one or the other. You are constantly shifting between exercises, which insures you will never get bored. :) :) :)
Andres Calvachi: This is a great place to get your workout. Not the typical gym where you walk around without no clue what to do. The classes at OT are designed to help you use all the muscles in your body. The coaches are great and always helpful.
Nancy Worrell: I absolutely love this place! I know I would never work this hard on my own and I'm seeing good results.
Julie Calboutin: Friendly and fun always, even at 6am when most needed

Rebecca Pinard: Orange Theory Ann Arbor Main is a great place to workout! It’s an incredibly motivating atmosphere with excellent coaches. Alicia is my favorite. Would prefer to go more than 2x a week without paying for “unlimited” but LOVE the quality of the workouts.
David Crout: Love Orangetheory!
Anna Dutton: I work way harder at Orange Theory than I ever did working out in my basement. Signing up for classes holds me responsible and the coaches and the music are all very encouraging. I always go in thinking I’ll just take it easy and then I never do!
Logan Corey: If you haven't tried OTF yet, just do it -- you will not regret it :)
Janna Motan: Love how it’s oranged focused!
Nasim Malakoti: This was my first time at orange theory. Staff was extremely welcoming! I’ll be back next week with a friend.
Anne Garcia: I am happy that I can get a challenging but doable workout, and adjust as I need to, each and every time.
Ryan Casey: I took my first class with Geoff two weeks ago, it was a great experience! JD at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly while I filled out my paperwork and the class was great! Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to switch up their regular fitness routine!
Chaithanya Sivakumar: There are multiple things that I enjoy, working out with OTF.1. The curated exercises are well balanced between stations row/treads/floor and the type of workouts Endurance/Strength/Power.2. It is very motivating to be surrounded by people who share a similar goal/mindset.3. The coaches and the SAs are welcoming and engaging which makes the interactions seamless and delightful.4. The music.
Todd J. Hendricks: Results, community, staff and coaches. The frontline staff are welcoming, upbeat and get me energized for the workout. The coaches are phenomenal--positive, encouraging, personable. Love the clean facility. Most of all, love the community. Every day is a different, yet powerful workout. Great results.
Alex Smalley: Incredible staff and coaches. Greg really challenges his students in a fun way while also showing proper form and advice for all skill levels.

LA Fitness: what do users think?
Kailea Neubig: This is the most amazing club, all staff is super friendly and club itself is always clean. Very uplifting and positive environment which is really helps motivate me to workout. I would recommend this gym to anyone who wants to be surrounded by genuine people with a common goal of bettering themselves.
Andre Calhoun: Literally most disgusting gym ive ever been to. Bathrooms literally go unclean for weeks.
Kristopher Lussenden: Nice amenities but place is in dire need of cleaning. Garbage is all over the floor in the locker and pool areas. Last few months seen a steady decline in cleanliness. Other LA fitness I have been much nicer and clean.
Brian Thomas: Extremely cold and not a good atmosphere.
GBarr-Ann Arbor: Terrific doing training sessions with Faith - she’s conscientious, listens & designed a good workout for all round fitness. She also explains, answers questions and is very personable.
Jaqueline Vaz Vanini: Really recommend doing personal training with Joe!
Avery: I have been to other locations all over the state and to hear people say this club is dirty is crazy! This location is by far the nicest club I've been to, the staff there is so hardworking and they don’t get enough credit for their work. Belle is a great addition as well, seems like she's really done a lot to improve the place. If you're looking for a good gym, this is definitely one you should look into.
Renata Hann: Joe is very helpful and informative. He explained the process of achieving my lean fitness goals that was understandable and clear. Very pleasant to work out with!
theukrainianguy (VM): One of the cleanest LA’s I’ve been to! and I drive a truck all over the country so I’ve been to quite a few of them so this says a lot!
Jeff Flynn: I appreciate my LA Fitness. It has maintained cleanliness which makes my workout time all the better. I am a swimmer and this pool is exceptional, The Yoga and Pilate classes have served me well. The best part of this LA Fitness is the camaraderie of fellow clients, I appreciate Joe, our personal trainer, for his smile and encouragement. You can't go wrong with this facility.
Ted Roby: IT'd be a cold day in HE.L.L before I'd say this...but just choose the purple gym. LA fitness is certainly not what it used to be.Upkeep has been terrible. Turn over is high. They clearly don't pay their employees enough, but have no problem charging premium prices for sub par services.Update: 3/28/24-Still no direct update from staff on status.Went to gym today and all 5 main soap dispensers were completely empty. when notifying front desk staff, they just shrugged it off. Turn over rate on cleaning staff has seeemed to be very high. sad they ask for high fees but pay their staff poorly.Update: 3/21/24-Made several points of contact about this to front desk, “messages” through the app and even one to corporate. Not one response. Will update once corrected!3/7/2023- MENS SAUNA IS BROKEN, CANT SEEM TO REPAIR!I have been a member since opening day. At the time it was a wonderful place. However, post covid, it has seem to really gone down hill.from general cleanliness, machine maintenance upkeep to broken amenities. The Sauna has been limping along for well over a year.approximately half of the heating elements are out.(cool to the touch)Infrared sauna is stated to be around 145 degrees, despite warning sign saying 185.Thermometer barely breaks 110 & is below 100 when people are in and out.Only the upper seating elements work. and only one unit is above 500degrees.There have been several "work orders" completed on it to which they say resolved, but this clearly is not accurate.I cannot get a clear answer as to any new work orders or willingness to repair it other than "it is very expensive."I suppose the rates are too cheap to justify repairs.
Noah Peterson: As the owner of a gym, it is important to maintain a high level of professionalism and quality in order to retain customers and build a positive reputation in the fitness industry. However, if the owner is not running a proper gym and lacks the necessary skills and knowledge to do so, it can lead to embarrassment and negative consequences. Here in lies LA FITNESS ANN ARBOR:Some of the ways in which a lack of proper gym management can lead to embarrassment include:Poor equipment maintenance: If gym equipment is not properly maintained, it can become rusty, broken, or dangerous to use. This can lead to injuries and lawsuits, and can also make the gym appear unprofessional and unappealing to potential customers. CASE IN POINT, Many of LA FITNESS machinery is clearly falling apart.Lack of cleanliness: A dirty gym with equipment covered in sweat and grime can be a major turnoff for customers. It can also lead to health and safety issues, and may result in negative reviews and loss of business.CASE IN POINT: LA FITNESS TO THE Forefront! good luck washing your hands with over 8 sinks, yet not soap in the dispensers. And fat chance looking at yourself in the mirror beyond all the dirt speckling. its as if they havent washed them in years.Inadequate staff training: If gym staff are not properly trained in customer service, safety procedures, and equipment usage, it can lead to confusion and frustration among customers. This can result in negative feedback and a loss of business.ONCE AGAIN, LA FITNESS FOR THE WIN!Try telling the staff of an issue. theyll look at your with a dumb look and just smirk it off.Overall, running a proper gym requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and a willingness to invest in the necessary resources and training. If an owner is not able to provide these things, it can lead to embarrassment and a damaged reputation in the fitness industry.Talk about embarrassment-The purple gym has a much higher rating, cleaner facility, up to date equipment and a friendly staff.Keep at it LA, you may make a come back.... lol
Patrick Crane: one major issue with LA Fitness is the poor quality and maintenance of their gym equipment. Many clients that I know have reported encountering broken or worn-out machines and weights, which can be frustrating and even dangerous. This lack of maintenance can result in injuries, especially if gym-goers are not able to properly adjust equipment or use it safely.Furthermore, LA Fitness is slow to respond to equipment repair requests or that the repairs are not completed satisfactorily. This lack of attention to equipment maintenance and repair can create an uncomfortable environment and lead to sub-par workouts.Overall, the poor state of equipment and lack of proper maintenance at LA Fitness may make it a less than ideal choice for individuals looking for a high-quality gym experience. It's unfortunate to realize that LA Fitness seems to be overcharging for their services, providing subpar service, and possibly paying their employees below a fair wage. These factors can contribute to a negative gym experience for customers and a challenging work environment for employees.Overcharging for gym services can be frustrating for any and all customers who expect a certain level of quality and may feel like they are not getting their money's worth. Similarly, if employees are being paid below a fair wage, it can lead to high turnover rates, which can impact the quality of service provided by the gym.Furthermore, if LA Fitness is not investing in its employees or providing adequate training, it can lead to employees who are not properly equipped to handle customer needs or perform their jobs effectively. This can further contribute to a negative gym experience for customers.Overall, these factors can all contribute to a less than ideal gym experience for customers at LA Fitness. It's important that you carefully consider these factors when deciding whether or not to join a gym and to conduct thorough research before making any decisions. While I am the absolute last person to say the purple gym is any good, I’d much rather go there then here.
Chris Golen: Clean with polite workers, let me try it. I was thinking about adding (Signature). But to be honest they cost more and always have less amenities. This place was nice, and pretty quiet during the day.
David Luckas: I've been a member at LA fitness for 5+ years. I was unaware that they were charging me "LATE FEES" for no reason without telling me! Beth or Bell whatever she calls her self the "operations manager" was extremely rude and condescending to me over the phone.Make sure your LA fitness monthly charges line up with your membership cost every month because she will not give you your money back and they will not tell you about "LATE FEES". In fact she told me that I'm lucky that it's not more. It's nice to see another Ann Arbor business supporting Fee-FlaitionWhat a scam
Eileen Canfield: Locker rooms are always dirty. Lockers always have hair, dirt etc.
B: Ann Arbor was decent until things started falling. Machines/cushion pad’s broken and not fixed for weeks. Equipments down for maintenance for months. Club is randomly closed in the morning hours, unannounced because responsible team wont show up to open the club. This used to be a decent workout place, now its a downfall!
Peter Kober: The staff frequently doesn't show when it opens in the morning making it impossible to get a workout in before work. Go someplace else.
Finnbarr Conroy-Martin: It's got about everything I need
Gloria Galan: I'm glad felt different light weight from working out in Gym with everything and kicking jerk and Soda causing of The Doctors and Hositpal Billings
Justin: Mehhh

Katie Bryant: I joined this gym almost 3 years ago hoping for a sustainable gym environment. Needless to say, sustainable it was. This gym is very inviting and welcoming. Classes are intimate. The instructors have the time to get to know you and keep track of your progress. I have grown and continue to find ways to push myself and take care of myself in many different ways. The owners are really special people who truly care about people getting healthier.

Carol Gagliardi: Positive:QualityWonderful teachers and a friendly atmosphere.
Linda Cohen Greene: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityGreat teacher, lovely yoga room, friendly warm welcoming ambiance.
Sandra Garges: Imagine Fitness has been my exercise home for the past year. I highly recommend it! Jackie is welcoming and will support you to meet your goals. Another reviewer referred to Imagine as a Community Wellness Center, I agree. I appreciate that the offerings at Imagine can be tailored to each person's individual needs and goals. The best bet is to simply give it a try!
Phoebe Martell: I love Imagine Fitness! It is always super clean and the staff is so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
Carmela Brown: I have just started at Imagine Fitness and believe I have finally found a fitness home. They host early morning classes so that I can get to work by 8am. The community of people are friendly and highly knowledgeable. They support all aspects of fitness and challenge you to improve. I look forward to continuing with them.
Gretchen Farah: I love Imagine! The instructors are excellent and it has a very friendly vibe! You will feel right at home immediately!😊
Bonnie Wang: I agree with a prior review that this place is more like a community wellness center. There are a variety of classes at all-levels and a friendly and encouraging group of people who have helped me make exercising regularly very do-able and fun. The best part is definitely the lovely coffee and snacks and conversations that follow.
Harry Poppick: My girlfriend and I tried a lot of different gyms in the area and have really found a home with this one.John and Jackie are very friendly and active owners of the gym and have worked hard to make it a real community. They both teach classes and are very receptive to feedback. There are a wide range of different classes for people of all different levels of fitness.Overall a great, judgement-free gym with a friendly staff.
Jasmine Powell: Imagine is a fantastic gym. There are a wide variety of great classes, and everyone there is so friendly, helpful, and encouraging. The supportive community vibe there makes me look forward to working out!
Jim Ceely: I've been a member since just after IFY opened and it's fantastic place to get in shape. The owners John and Jackie are very active in the business, and can be seen almost daily teaching classes or working out. This is a small, intimate community, where everyone says hello, and it's easy to strike up a conversation. The facility includes massage rooms, two yoga rooms (heated floors) and a workout and spinning area. There's a small comfortable lounge where you can chill out, have some tea or coffee and enjoy some organic veggie's from John and Jackies garden!Holiday parties, birthday parties, fun circuit classes, variety of yoga, meditation, Tai Chi, and spinning classes and great staff, make Imaging Fitness and Yoga a great place to improve your heath and well being.
Corinne R.: This is the best fitness experience I have ever had. I love coming here- working out is suddenly fun! The people are wonderful to be around and incredibly motivating. It's always super clean, the equipment is high quality, the locker room is very modern, and the classes are great. I recommend this gym.
Lauren Michalak: I really like Imagine Fitness. Its always very clean, and the staff is friendly. I like the variety of equipment as well. I would recommend this gym to anyone.
Zoe Psarouthakis: It is not just a work out facility but a wonderful community to go to and take a large variety of work out classes! The staff become friends not just teachers!
Kelly Brown: Imagine is a great place to work out. The spinning, circuit and yoga classes are my favorites, but there are many more offered. The facility is beautiful and always clean from the locker rooms to the lounging area, the staff is very friendly, and there is always good coffee and a snack waiting for you when you are done.
NICHOLAS STANKO: Imagine Fitness & Yoga is by far one of the best fitness facilities that I have ever used. It is much more than a gym... maybe a good way to describe it is a community wellness center. When you are at Imagine everyone is very friendly and the facility is first class. HIGLY RECOMMENDED!

3N1 Fitness Revolution: what do users think?
Dev Kunjadia: Just got a membership here 2 days ago.The good: squat racks, enough machines for almost every body part, sleds (big plus), cable machines, the machines are good quality too, some specialty bars, has bumper plates. It also has filtered water and showers which is awesome. The bad: Almost every bar in this gym has no knurling. This makes it really hard to hold the bar, and there is no chalk (which is understandable). The lack of knurling in this gym kind of kills it from being a great great gym. The pull-up bars are slippery, the barbells are slippery. This gym is definitely not for powerlifters, strongmen, or weightlifters but does well for its target population (normal people looking to be fit), and is probably good enough for body builders too if they bring their own straps along. There are also no specialty machines like belt squat, or glute hyper extension machines. But you can’t really expect that out of a gym with this price point.Summary: Solid gym, and am looking forward to having a membership here, but will def have to bring my straps every time. Lack of knurling also may cause injury.Update: Lack of knurling on barbells is definitely an injury risk. It is very easier for your grip to slip up when benching or doing shoulder press. Knurling definitely kills this from being a great gym but it’s still the best in the area disregarding the umich rec centers. Honest opinion from someone watching the trainers for a long portion of time: they are not knowledgeable in training. It seems no one who gets trained follows a structured program, but it is alright if you are not doing anything in the first place, but not worth the money.
Eric Oesterling: This is an absolutely top notch gym! Have been a member for 2 years and will be sad to say goodbye to the 3N1 fam. If you're looking for a gym in AA definitely come check it out!
Francine Romine: I have been working out with a trainer at 3N1 Fitness Revolution for over a year and and am thrill to have found a gym where I feel comfortable, encouraged and supported. Whether you are a serious lifter or, like me, you just want to be as strong and healthy as your are able, 3N1 is for you. The staff is attentive, the classes challenging, and the facilities (two shower rooms, an ice/cold tub, and a new infrared sauna) are fantastic! Parking is also a plus!! Love working out at 3N1 Fitness Revolution!!
Michelle Pava: I’ve been a member of 3n1 for almost 2 years now. Having moved from Miami, I didn’t know anyone and wanted to be part of a gym that feels like a community. 3n1 delivers not only in cleanliness, equipment, top notch group classes, but its a place that welcomes everyone regardless of where you are in your fitness journey. They also have an infrared sauna and personal training options. Im always happy walking through the door!
Rob smiley: As a new member to 3N1, I have welcomed into this community, like I am family. The trainers, classes, and amenities are too notch. I've never been part of a gym that motivates me like 3N1. I highly recommend checking them out!!
Mariah Smiley: 3n1 fitness has been my community from day 1. The quality of the space and the trainers is a 10/10. Cleanliness and kindness do not go unnoticed. Even if I’m having a bad day, when I leave 3n1 I’ve been guaranteed to have had a few laughs, a smile on my face, and a good sweat sesh!
Karen Hawley: Best gym ever!! If your looking for group fitness …personal training…or a place to run or lift weights this is your place to be…very clean great location with amazing trainers that will get you to your fitness and health goals…the classes are my favorite I can attend one everyday of the week if want..and let me tell you it’s a great workout for building muscle and burning fat! It’s more then a gym..it’s a family !!!
Sarah Watkins: 3N1 is a fantastic gym! All of the staff are amazing and I love the variety of classes and open gym time. I recommend it to friends and neighbors all of the time, 10/10!
RishiRex: Been working out here for 2 years now. Great gym with a great atmosphere and people. Super clean and never too busy so you can always actually do or get on whatever machine you want to. All the trainers are also super knowledgeable, helpful and positive!
Meredith Olson: Joining 3N1 is the best decision that I have ever made. Not being from the area, everyone has been so welcoming and felt like family right when I stepped foot into the gym. The instructors are great, and the classes make me keeping wanting to come back. Whether you are looking for group fitness classes or a gym for your daily workout, this is the place to be!
Neha Sheth: If you're interested to get-on and stay-on the journey to good health, 3n1 is the place for you! The classes accommodate all levels and the encouragement from the owners, staff and even other members has created a community environment with 'no-judgement'. Equipment is state-of-the-art, the gym is extremely clean and the cold tubs as well as infrared sauna are definitely added bonuses!!!Joining this gym has enabled me to form relationships that celebrate each other’s successes and have also offered each other support, when needed. This is truly a special place that is not just a gym, but a family!
Elizabeth Fichera: I'm so glad I found 3n1! The facility has quality equipment for any type of workout, and I love the fitness classes they offer. Best part, the staff is so friendly and cares about the health and wellbeing of their members. I would recommend this gym to anyone.
Annalise Trenkamp: Huge fan of this gym!I was looking for a smaller gym with a more personal feeling/not as crazy busy. I have had memberships at Lifetime Fitness and Edge Fitness. I would personally say 3N1 trumps them both due to 3N1’s friendly attitude and genuine care for their members.I joined with the group classes in mind as I was looking for good full body and spin classes. Michelle is a group instructor who truly pushes members in her class in the best way possible.Erin is a spin instructor who makes spin fun with a goal of personal growth verse lots of movement in other spin classes. So happy with my choice to join!
Brendan Vorobiev: All of the equipment and coaching you’ll ever need. Very clean environment combined with a knowledgeable/professional staff.
Abid Ali: Best gym in Ann Arbor! It has everything you need plus the community that every gym goes desires. My favorite class is on Monday evenings with Pedro!!!! He is the man!
Chris Kaschalk: Great staff of personal trainers in a facility that is absolutely top notch. If you are new to the gym or have been lifting for years, 3N1 is the spot for you.
Kathy Waugh: The staff and trainers here really CARE. Everyone is so welcoming and the workouts are fantastic!UPDATE:Five years later and it's still the same! Don't be intimidated... the trainers and the community are SO nice....even while your butt is being kicked. Highly recommend!
Brittany Gutermuth: Awesome classes, experienced trainers, super great community atmosphere! Owners are constantly working on improving the facilities/making updates to the equipment and building. Highly recommend.
Marci Ammerman: I have worked out at many different places over the years and always felt like something was missing until I found 3N1. This gym is a great size, classmates have become friends, absolutely love the instructors and the variety of workouts is fantastic. Motivation is not a problem because you don't want to miss classes. I also used the treadmills to run on snowy and cold days and have participated in the 10 week challenge classes- mix of outdoor workouts all over Ann Arbor. You won't be disappointed when you check out 3N1.
Mykenzie Olson: Best gym I have been to in the area. 3N1 is very clean, organized, and has everything you could need. The staff and members were so welcoming when I first joined and continue to be. I love the variety of workout classes that they have to offer throughout the week. I’m so glad I made the decision to join 3N1!
Dawn R. Wolfe: I've been a member now for three years, and my fitness has progressed measurably. Beyond the great trainers and well-stocked facility, this is one gym that takes cleanliness extremely seriously. Even though I've moved across town, 3N1 is worth the trip; more local gyms just don't measure up to my needs.

Blue Lion Fitness: what do users think?
David Waldron: Everyone of all levels will feel right at home and make huge advances.
Robert Byars: A number of recognizable local athletes frequent the gym, but everyone of all levels will feel right at home and make huge advances.
Xavier Blevins: Hey do you guys happen to have like a day pass type thing? In Ann Arbor away from my gym for the night would love to drop into your location if so.
Michael Hess: Smart people who know their stuff.
noahshurwitz: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityYou can train like a professional athlete in this boutique fitness center run by local Ann Arborites. A number of recognizable local athletes frequent the gym, but everyone of all levels will feel right at home and make huge advances in their fitness goals!
Romelo Tuner: This is a awesome place to Train, The Trainer's are excellent and the Sessions are always exciting.👍🏿🙏🏾
Melissah Lang: I've been coming to Blue Lion since the first day it opened and think it's hands-down the best gym in Ann Arbor. The target audience for the gym used to be the younger, more Crossfit-oriented athlete, but they have expanded to include all types of athletes, so it's truly a gym for everyone. For example, in addition to me, my high school brother that's recovering from an ACL injury exercises at BLF, and my 59 year-old mother does private training with Ryan and adores her weekly session. I'm still working on convincing my dad to go, too!Dan and Ryan, the owners, are absolutely fantastic - if you can find time with them for a personal session, do it - and the other trainers are fantastic coaches and can provide any modifications you need.1000% recommend working out at this gym!
Katie Helmuth: Positive:Quality
Lindsey Johnson: I attended my first Blue Lion outdoor group class this week and I had a blast! I was nervous about how I would do since I've been staying in due to COVID and I'm out of shape. But my instructor, Adam was incredibly motivating, welcoming and attentive to form. Adam even introduced me to his sister, Christine whom was in class and cheered me on when I was struggling on the run. The facility and equipment is spotless and organized. The music is upbeat and clear. I highly recommend Blue Lion to both experienced or new fitness goers and out-of-towners looking for a gym with a sense of community!
Omar S: Awesome gym- challenging workouts and a caring, welcoming community.I joined Blue Lion a few weeks ago after moving to Ann Arbor. I've strength-trained the past few years in small class settings and was looking for something similar- a place where I could show up, pay attention, and work hard for 60 minutes knowing that my coaches had the knowledge and experience to plan workouts and to ensure I maintained the proper form.Blue Lion has met and surpassed these expectations. I've joined a welcoming, hard-working group of people and have made great strength and cardio gains despite a few months off due to COVID. They're constantly pushing me and I leave exhausted, but with a smile on my face. Thanks Ryan, Danny, Kristy, Adam, and more!
Jeanne Geskes: Outdoor WOD was awesome. Great to get back to BLF
Seth Klapman: If you're looking for a gym that will push you to get a great workout while creating a welcoming environment for individuals of all fitness levels, you've found it in Blue Lion. The staff cares deeply about the individual members and I feel very fortunate to have discovered this gym. Special shout out to Adam for taking the time to help me with my form and technique in the larger class settings.
Carla William: I never thought I could be an athletically inclined person until I found Blue Lion. The coaches and other gym members are SO helpful and encouraging. If you’re looking for a great workout with great people, this is your place.
KT Maviglia: I have tried many gyms in the Ann Arbor area and I love attending class at Blue Lion Fitness. If your'e looking for a fun class with friendly clientele and qualified coaches this is the place for you.
Victoria C: Love this gym! Great coaches and knowledgeable staff. The classes give a well balanced workout for all levels of fitness. 10/10 recommend!
Melanie Askari: Amazing coaches and very good workout! Best gym in Ann Arbor- hands down!
Katherine Womack: I was a member of the gym for over three years and only left because I moved out of state. It was a sad day when I left! Blue lion was definitely my most favorite gym!
Paige Myers: Came in from out of town and I couldn’t be happier with the workout I got. The coaches were awesome and beyond helpful. When I come back to Ann Arbor for work I will definitely be coming here!!
Anders Barzdukas: Called and asked when I could work out on my own. I was given a block of time and once I came in asked if it was the “open gym” period soon. Lady looked at me as if I killed her favorite pet and said, “not during yoga!”
Guy M: I am saddened that this fitness studio which values community is not able to shovel the snow from its sidewalk on Stadium.
Ann Arbor Massage & Bodywork: After years of working out without many results, I am so glad I have found BLF. All of the workouts are planned for you, and the trainers are all so knowledgeable. Once you go BLF, you never go back.

Bruce Geffen: A GREAT space for working out and getting fit with all the amenities one needs all in one space!
Brian: Brian (the owner) is a great guy and we shared great conversation. He seems to have a pure and kind heart, so definitely someone that you should work with in business or as collaborator. I'm a business owner and he was very easy to connect with. Not to mention the facility is pristine. The equipment is all clean and look new. Definitely recommend this place.
King Amar'e: Great staff! Great Facility! Great Workout!
Nancy Y: Unlike any other facility in this area, beautiful space with excellent equipment. The only business concept that offers other fitness professionals a place to come together and collaborate, sharing resources. A space like this one offers clients the ability to have a one stop shop.Over 3,000 square feet of indoor space sitting on 2 acres of outdoor space.
