Pita Kabob Grill: what do users think?
Theo: Best restaurant I’ve ever eaten at
Noah Walker: The reason why I give this place high props is because what used to be called the Rhyz b harr and is now the Eggplant B-Harr is an excellent combination of garlicky, spicy, and cinnamony in the best way possible! Just note that this place is small with limited seating.
Rudraj Koppikar: Best Lamb Shawarma and Pistachio Baklava in A2Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Cajun Fries …More
Laura: I had a little indigestion with the beef… otherwise it is fine

Deleted Xan: As a Lebanese person, this food is absolutely amazing and makes me feel like I’m home. Everything is authentic and made correctly. Tastes like my mothers food. Even the fries in the shawarma! Amazing.
Tyler B: Recommended dishes Chicken Shawarma PitaMore
Brooke Halak: The food here is amazing and there is a lot of variety!! My favorite is the lamb kabob pita and it never misses especially with the garlic sauce. I’m always craving this and it’s always ready quickly for pickup. My go-to for sure!
Ehsan Zarshenas: I am surprised this food got a lot of good reviews! I ordered a meat platter online. Both chicken and beef were super dried out. I think the food was sitting on the counter for the whole day before they shipped it to me at the end of the day!!
Ibrahim El Halabi: Ordered dinner including yogurt drink (ayran). It came expired since October.Recommended dishes Chicken Shawarma Sandwich …More
Isaiah Singer: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Deborah “Destinykids” Abodunrin: Wasn’t open when multiple days when it was stated to be open but overall good food but overpriced tho
Amaya Hall: The best Middle Eastern food in Ann Arbor!! It’s reasonably priced, and so so good. I get the eggplant b-harr pita every time and it’s always wonderful. One of the best things I’ve had in my life!
Jeffrey Micale: Eat here for lunch once a week. Consistently good, love the flavors and the staff are friendly.
Joe Xu: Nothing to write home about, there are much better options around town.
Antriksh Mutha: Got the Falafel Sandwich and Mujaddara. Sandwich was huge, taste was good but was a little dry. Would recommend adding some sauce in the sandwich. Mujaddara was mediocre and had no fried onions. Felt like I was having Indian Khichri. The restaurant doesn’t have a standard dine in. They have chairs and table outside to sit and enjoy the food.4 stars just because it’s open late at night.
Fischer: they forgot the pickles in both of my shawarmas… how do you do that?!?!?
Grace Su Ming: Many vegan and vegetarian options and always delicious and well seasoned. So many options and good size portions. Staff are awesome!
Martin P: Germ of middle eastern food
Noel French: Long ago, as a vegetarian undergraduate, I ate here at least once a week. It's been over a decade since I've been in, but I'm spending a lot of time in Ann Arbor recently while my wife receives care at Mott, and what can I say? It still hits the spot just like it did way back when. I'm no longer a vegetarian, but Meghan's falafel pita still satisfies as an omnivore. Just delicious. I definitely won't wait another decade to go back.
KARUTURI: It was recommended by a friendIt was okay not that greatOkay for evening snack

Baba Dari Mediterranean Grill: what do users think?
Denishia Holmon: The food is Amazing, I suggest a Mediterranean chicken schwarma and a hummus bowl. The compliment each other perfectly and the portion size leaves room to share. The two brothers that work in there are very warm and inviting, they are half the reason I can’t stop going in. Taste the food it says it all!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Fey Fishy: -Expensive-Tasty wraps-Abysmal, tiny portions-Disinterested, distracted employeesFood was good, but as you can see very little food for $91. Small baba ganoush costs $4 and literally was just a sauce cup worth. Rice was $5 and wasn't impressive size wise and wasn't even garnished. The largest portion of food was the fattoush salad.I ordered my food over 2 hours early for pickup at 4:15, I had to wait 17 minutes for it to be ready with only two other customers eating in the store. I'm all for employees to be comfortable at work(they had earbuds in), but they were talking with family/off the clock employee behind the counter. Didn't apologize for my wait, and if I hadn't checked through my order then they would have let me walk out without two $6 drinks. They were pretty uninterested and distracted. Upgraded my drinks for free($1 value) but didn't apologize for forgetting them in the first place. This place is best for takeout-lunch, look somewhere else if you want decent service, or fair food portions for money. Inside of the restaurant is pretty boring looking and undecorated, wouldn't suggest dining in.Parking: Few parking spaces in front of restaurant, in a very awkward spot.

Manish Shiwlani: Long wait… okay foodWent back again and food was salty like someone threw a tub of salt in the chicken… terrible!!!
Jeneen Dari: best food and fresh
Daryl Johnson: I ordered the chicken shawarma with extra garlic sauce and it was extremely delicious. I was very appreciative for God letting me have taste buds. Good job Baba Dari! 🙌
Viv N: I ordered a lg baba Ganoush. They basically dumped the small into the large, added a colorful spice, and charged me for the large. It is a little bit out of the way and absolutely not worth itFood: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Ruth Ann Buntin: I love their service and the atmosphere. However, I felt the food, in particular the chicken, wasn't as well seasoned as in times past.I was a little disappointed, but their service made the experience worth it.
Jason Makonehan: Hungry for iftar, 20 dollar bowl maybe gets you three strands of chicken and beef. Complete robbery. Not even good food either. do not wase your money here.
stephanie peck: The best lentil soup!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Shawarma, Baklava, Garlic, Greek Salad, Tabouli, Chicken Shawarma Bowl …More
Vic Bullard: The food tasted good but the portion was not worth the $14.81 I paid. I ordered a shawarma bowl and when I finished I was no where near full. Drinks were $3.75 which is really expensive.
Arjo Mukherjee: Amazing food! I have lived in the Middle East for a very long time and Baba Dari reminds of my childhood and has a unique taste to its food. It's a must try!
Fareha Mir: We stopped for a quick bite while driving through the town and got 3 beef shawarma wraps and 1 falafel wrap and 1 tabbouli salad. My kids who are very picky, loved the beef shawarma wraps. Salad was awesome. Food was fresh. Would love to go again.Recommended dishes Shawarma, Falafel Wrap …More

Mohd Saif: Original Arabic Shawarma 🏼🔥Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jami A: This 1-star review is based purely on the taste of my chicken shawarma sandwich... it was abysmal. Even my toddler refused to eat it, and chicken shawarma is one of his favorite treats. This sandwich’s chicken tasted like dead animal. There was only a smidge of garlic to hide the taste. Absolutely nauseating. Two other quick observations: 1) I was told my order would take 10 minutes, but it took 30, and 2) only one sandwich was made; I’d ordered two.
Trupti Khade: Fresh food, great place! What is even amazing is the service. I got something in my order that I didnt ask for and I told the server about it. He politely replaced my order, no questions asked! Truly an amazing place.

Julia Norton: I walk by this place daily to get my coffee decided to stop in and eat cause I was going to ha e lunch anyways and let me tell you it was sooo good .this is going to be a regular place for me thank you for the lovely food and for your courtesy ....
Erin: Place is absolutely amazing, still and always. Everything is super fresh and just has the top-notch flavor/quality to it. Love the felafels, soups, anything meat they do is incredible, all of the different pickled veggies... Just YUM
Kaylyn Campos: You cannot skip the falafel here, it's in the name, and they certainly live up to it. The best falafel I've ever had. Their portion sizes are huge, one wrap can easily be two meals. Their fries are heavily seasoned, crispy, and not greasy. They don't skimp on the veggies in their wraps so it feels very fresh, with plenty of sauce so it's not dry. An important note, they have their allergen information right on the front counter. My husband has celiac disease and they specifically note what items contain gluten. They also have tons of vegetarian options. Very accessible and absolutely delicious! The staff is always very kind as well. Don't miss out on this place!
Patricia Palazzolo: Fattoush salad was not like normally get and i have eaten at many restaurants. Hardly no lettuce. My co workers tried to put order in online wouldn't let them workout credit card. When i picked up order cashier disregarded that and said u can order online then pay. So i had to wait and it took awhile i shouldn't of put tip on card when i ordered there. And sandwich wants that great for lambkafta hardly no flavor. I want in phone. Used phone to show cashier what my co worker was ordering. He didn't understand my English from menu.... no phone conversation going on not rude like this restaurant.

Koreen Miller: Tonight was my first time at Haifa Falafel. It used to be my husbands go to place until we met and I insisted Dearborn Kitchen and Palm Palace were the best, then Covid came, and we basically stopped ordering out.Tonight, after I said I’d like to go to Palm Palace, but the last couple of times we went, we hardly touched the food and ended up throwing it out(once is a fluke, twice is unacceptable, three times, shame on me for going) he suggested Haifa Falafel. I called ahead to order(which was nice that it’s not just by app)Not only was it ready when I arrived for pick up(I live across the street)the owner was VERY nice, greeted me with a smile, the food was still warm when I got it home. There were plenty of sauces and extra pita. My Husband ordered the Lamb Kafta, I ordered the Shawafel, and we also bought a small side of falafel, garlic sauce and baklava. These were hands down, the largest and most delicious wraps I have EVER had, and I drive all over the state for a living and have tried many! We didn’t get the Mega Wraps, just the normal size! The spice was perfect on the meat, it was packed with veggies, and the sauce was divine! The grill he does at the end to seal the sandwich makes it so much easier to eat, as well. The side of garlic was nice and big and filled to the top(unlike Palm Palace, anymore) neither of us could get through the first half of the sandwich, but am already looking forward to lunch tomorrow.I call BS on the negative reviews. Food was wonderful, atmosphere and employee were great and because of one of the negative reviews, I did take a good look around and everything was very clean! I am now bummed over the time and money I wasted all these years at Palm Palace, and now I will never go back!Thank you SO much for a wonderful dinner! I cannot say enough good things! Forget 5/5..it was 10/10!Vegetarian options: They offered many vegetarian dishes and regular dishes that could be made vegetarian per request.Kid-friendliness: The place had plenty of room, tables and chairs for dining and is nice and bright.Parking: There is plenty of parking upfront and they also have dedicated handicapped parking.Wheelchair accessibility: They have wheelchair accessDietary restrictions: They have several vegetarian options. They also said they have gluten free dishes availability, but not sure if it’s in a dedicated GF area.
Daniel Harvey: The best Middle Eastern food hands down in Ann Arbor and the surrounding area! Truly authentic food with impeccable service.
Michael Kuentz: Ali and his chefs are phenomenal. This place is always busy. Of course, the food is outstanding.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Sunnee Thao: Being right next to the U of M, its a nice location to be. Parking is on the street so can be hard to find if it is a busy time. Went at 12 on a Wednesday and there was enough space for us. We dined in and got seated right away with our food being delivered very quickly after placing orders. I got the chicken shawarma with 2 sides, the salad and hummus and 2 falafel patties. The chicken shawarma was soooo good. It came with a yogurt almost tzatziki like sauce and was cool and refreshing to match the amazing seasoned chicken. It was served with some brown rice that was amazingly done (4/5). The salad was refreshing and had some toasted pita bread on it for a crunch and was perfect for the summer heat (4/5). The hummus was one of the best hummus I've ever had, perfect in its taste (5/5). Lastly, the falafel patties, they were a bit crunchy and done on the outside but it was still so good when you get to he flavor in the middle (3.5/5). Lastly, couldn't leave without the dessert, pistachio baklava. This was so delicious and flaky. The amount of sweetness matched with the pistachio saltyness, one if the best baklava I've had (4.5/5). The atmosphere matches the food perfectly and service was friendly, would def visit again!
Kelsey M: The food here is absolutely delicious, and the prices are reasonable. You order your food and pay at the register and they bring it out to you, so you're not dealing with a server. The rice pudding is wonderful here, along with everything else!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
C C: Staple of the community. The quality is consistent. It’s never too greasy and always delicious! You can eat pretty healthy for a decent price. I usually do the falafel, hummus and veggies and some fries to balance it out. ;)

Stephanie O'Callaghan: Used to go here in college when it was around the block in a tiny space and loved it. First time coming here in its newer space and really enjoyed it! You order at the front counter for take out or dine in and then they give you a number to place on your table. The food came out pretty fast and all the staff was very nice. Was lucky to have nice weather to enjoy the patio! Loved everything I got! Great falafel with hummus and baba ghanoush. Also really enjoyed the lentil soup.
K R: How on Earth is this place rated so high? Totally inauthentic Mediterranean food by far!!! The the fattoush salad and tabbouleh appetizer were exactly the same thing and who puts romaine lettuce in a chicken shawarma? Not to mention you order at the counter and then the rude girls working there expect a tip!!! They better be thankful we even gave them five bucks I wanted to leave 0!!!
Ella Pace: Made an online order, went in to pick it up and was told the order was never made. Showed the staff the charge on my card and the order receipt and was told it wasn’t their problem. They refused to give me the order and told me to place the same order again (and pay for it again) if I wanted the food. The staff was very rude and dismissive without provocation.
Max Monegan: Their system for seating and ordering is.... Interesting. However, the food was fantastic.Vegetarian options: Lots of good choices
Elif Saglik: Love Jerusalem Garden! If you’re looking for a new restaurant to try, this is the place! Their food is extremely delicious and clearly well-prepped with clean ingredients. Their service is also one of the best I’ve experienced. Their staff is extremely kind, caring, and helpful and after a couple of dinners there, they recognized us easily. 10/10 would recommend. Hasn’t failed me ever.
Grace Su Ming: Food was yummy, the con is the portions are a little small for the price. The fattoush salad was decent, hummus is yummy! I wish the hummus came with more bread, it came with maybe 2 pieces of bread. Staff very kind. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Vikram Bala: It's a decent place. I like the food and I'd certainly say it's above average. The chicken shawarma is delicious and the rice goes hard. Barry Ryder: Nice new discoveryExcellent food in generalThe best Lentil soupAnd what more can I say butTahini Hot Chocolate with whipped creamOh and gelato (ie tiramisù)Something about birthday flavor
Kaila Greatness Price: I went to El Harissa with my cousins today and we loved the dinner entrees and the gelato flavors! I LOVE the Rosewater Baklava and Mango sorbetto flavors! I will be back to try other flavors!
Michael Tullis: I’m a huge fan of their flavors. The Carthage Salad includes some yummies like fig, pomegranate seeds, olives, and what I expect is a balsamic vinaigrette. Their lasagna bolognese is a go to for me. Yum yum yum…
cat cat: Amazing spot!!! the staff is super nice and more than happy to tell you about the dishes, the restaurant itself, and make recommendations. you can tell they really love the food they make! all the items are premade daily and packaged in deli containers but they will heat and plate items for dining in. We had the merguez meatballs with couscous, roasted cauliflower, the fish pie, toum (garlic spread) with the softest fresh pita, rice pudding and Turkish coffee and mint tea. literally everything is fantastic and I wish I was local to go back and try other things soon!the market is also super cute, selling spices, oils, canned fish etc and the store is full of beautiful well cared for plants. 🤗
Elizabeth Shafto: To all of you who live in Ann Arbor, I am SO jealous. If you are a local and you haven’t visited El Harissa yet…you must!!! Everything is made from scratch, with all the love that comes from a small family business. The market and restaurant is simple and charming. The food was absolutely amazing. The hummus and whipped feta blanco was smooth and flavorful. We had the lasagna verde, Merguez meatballs and the Maghrebi Harissa Chili. All three were fantastic, but the chili just made my night! My husband couldn’t stop talking about the meatballs. The black tea and saffron rice pudding was a fun twist from the your usual rice pudding, loved it. The baklava rose gelato was incredible. We also had their mint tea and tahini hot chocolate. Pita bread is soft and fluffy, made from scratch. At the end of the meal we purchased several hard to find spices and ingredients from their market. El Harissa will certainly become a permanent stop on our trips through Michigan.

The little market is really fun to browse through. Be aware that this is deli counter service only but they will heat your food up for you if you request it. No indoor seating. Gelato is probably the best I've ever had with really unique flavor options! Counter service was really great, staff was super helpful and nice.
Jamie Gallupe: Food is delicious and it’s so nice to have very quick meals available when you’re on the go. They’re so nice here and the food feels so comforting. Get the garlic dip, it’s bonkers.

Su Liu: Great restaurant with delicious dishes!
Caroline Plotner: There’s nothing seriously wrong with this restaurant—the staff are normal and it’s clean and all—but the food just isn’t all that good. The falafel was a little soggy and slightly grey. The hummus and tabbouli didn’t taste like much. The rice was oily and artificially yellow.I have to wonder whether the people posting reviews have ever eaten Mediterranean food before. Or maybe I just went on a really, really off day…?I don’t like writing negative reviews, but I simply can’t recommend it. It’s mediocre.I wouldn’t go out of your way, and recommend Palm Palace, Casablanca, or even Jerusalem Garden instead. Or if you’re up for a drive, go to La Fresh in Plymouth (superb) or all the way to Dearborn (biggest Middle Eastern community in the US).
