It was greasy or too saucy which made the pita too soggyplus the only other thing besides the dark meat chicken on it were a few “very”slim pickle spears and it didn’t come with any garlic yogurt that would cost extra he said. She is such a wonderful, courteous, and tough lady(MAKE SURE YOU DONT WASTE FOOD!) that we genuinely enjoy coming just for our experiences with her. We have little ones and she is great with them. I swear if those food serving robots force her to leave we wouldn't be back on principle alone. Sunnee Thao: Being right next to the U of M, its a nice location to be. Parking is on the street so can be hard to find if it is a busy time. Went at 12 on a Wednesday and there was enough space for us. We dined in and got seated right away with our food being delivered very quickly after placing orders. I got the chicken shawarma with 2 sides, the salad and hummus and 2 falafel patties. The chicken shawarma was soooo good. It came with a yogurt almost tzatziki like sauce and was cool and refreshing to match the amazing seasoned chicken. It was served with some brown rice that was amazingly done (4/5). The salad was refreshing and had some toasted pita bread on it for a crunch and was perfect for the summer heat (4/5). The hummus was one of the best hummus I've ever had, perfect in its taste (5/5). Lastly, the falafel patties, they were a bit crunchy and done on the outside but it was still so good when you get to he flavor in the middle (3.5/5). Lastly, couldn't leave without the dessert, pistachio baklava. This was so delicious and flaky. The amount of sweetness matched with the pistachio saltyness, one if the best baklava I've had (4.5/5). The atmosphere matches the food perfectly and service was friendly, would def visit again!

Stephanie O'Callaghan: Used to go here in college when it was around the block in a tiny space and loved it. First time coming here in its newer space and really enjoyed it! You order at the front counter for take out or dine in and then they give you a number to place on your table. The food came out pretty fast and all the staff was very nice. Was lucky to have nice weather to enjoy the patio! Loved everything I got! Great falafel with hummus and baba ghanoush. Also really enjoyed the lentil soup.

Ella Pace: Made an online order, went in to pick it up and was told the order was never made. Showed the staff the charge on my card and the order receipt and was told it wasn’t their problem. They refused to give me the order and told me to place the same order again (and pay for it again) if I wanted the food. The staff was very rude and dismissive without provocation.

Elif Saglik: Love Jerusalem Garden! If you’re looking for a new restaurant to try, this is the place! Their food is extremely delicious and clearly well-prepped with clean ingredients. Their service is also one of the best I’ve experienced. Their staff is extremely kind, caring, and helpful and after a couple of dinners there, they recognized us easily. 10/10 would recommend. Hasn’t failed me ever.

Xochi Sanchez: I came to this city to get a degree, but commuted for most of it because I couldn’t afford the rent. I finally was able to move to Ann Arbor a few months ago and realized most of the food (not all) in this city is very expensive for the lack of flavor. I got the degree but am still going to be here for at least a few more years if not longer and I don’t always have the ability to cook. Given the situation, I was a little sad about it but figured I could just eat bland food once in a while when I had to get takeout.But THEN! I went into Pita King. I have to tell you, their food was my savior. Literally finally something worth eating out for, everything is great. The Kareemo is my favorite, it’s worth the expense, it is literally the only “sandwich” in the area I will pay money for. And everybody is so chill! Once I went in and there was a lil guy, clearly somebody’s kid ringing us up and that brought me BACK. Kids in my family all the time used to help out at the restaurant or just come to work with their parents. It let me know this is the kind of business I wanna support. (Also seemingly queer/trans femme friendly, as I am one, I’ve never had a problem 3)

Thank you Pita King!My coworker and I placed online orders for Pita King. I called them after I realized I somehow placed an order for 2 chicken Shawarmas, and asked if they could cancel the second order. They said sure that’s no problem, and I then told them as an aside, that my co worker was picking up the food for me. I get a call from them after her pickup that they accidentally gave her a wrong order and need us to come back. No offer for a discount or free sandwich for their blunder, but okay. At this point we won’t be able to have our work meeting at the office because of these delays. When she finally got that sorted and got back to the office, she gave me two chicken shawarmas. I called the Restaurant and asked, they claimed they thought I was telling them I was gifting the second sandwich to my co worker. What the heck, I understand work can be busy but that is just incompetent. Paul Adam Mayer: Everything I ate was basically the best I'd ever had of that dish. I thoroughly enjoyed every single thing we got (and we ate about half the menu in our large party). The service was excellent, the atmosphere was nice, and the food was phenomenal. Highly recommend stopping here to eat.

The Koobideh kabob was freshly made and seasoned well.We ordered saffron and cinnamon tea, both were good but the cinnamon one became my favorite.The place is nice and cozy and the staff is friendly.Overall it was a really good experience and will definitely come back.I highly recommend Zamaan Cafe.

Eli Yon: I had a Chicken Shawarma wrap, lentil soup, and a fattoush salad. Everything was fresh tasting and delicious! It did not take very long either. Had a great conversation with the owner and he made me feel like family! Will be back soon!
Sulaf Al-Tamimi: Zamaan cafe is a must try for authentic Persian/middle eastern food. The food is a 10/10 and the ambience is very relaxing and cozy. Perfect little lunch escape from a busy day at work. Customer service is also exceptional!

Kris R: Upon leaving Briarwood mall I googled “Mediterranean food near me.” This restaurant popped up, amongst others. I decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did!! The staff were, beyond friendly, and the food was superb!! I ordered a salad and lentil soup; simply delicious. I plan on returning soon!

Erin: Place is absolutely amazing, still and always. Everything is super fresh and just has the top-notch flavor/quality to it. Love the felafels, soups, anything meat they do is incredible, all of the different pickled veggies... Just YUM
Kaylyn Campos: You cannot skip the falafel here, it's in the name, and they certainly live up to it. The best falafel I've ever had. Their portion sizes are huge, one wrap can easily be two meals. Their fries are heavily seasoned, crispy, and not greasy. They don't skimp on the veggies in their wraps so it feels very fresh, with plenty of sauce so it's not dry. An important note, they have their allergen information right on the front counter. My husband has celiac disease and they specifically note what items contain gluten. They also have tons of vegetarian options. Very accessible and absolutely delicious! The staff is always very kind as well. Don't miss out on this place!
Patricia Palazzolo: Fattoush salad was not like normally get and i have eaten at many restaurants. Hardly no lettuce. My co workers tried to put order in online wouldn't let them workout credit card. When i picked up order cashier disregarded that and said u can order online then pay. So i had to wait and it took awhile i shouldn't of put tip on card when i ordered there. And sandwich wants that great for lambkafta hardly no flavor. I want in phone. Used phone to show cashier what my co worker was ordering. He didn't understand my English from menu.... no phone conversation going on not rude like this restaurant.

It used to be my husbands go to place until we met and I insisted Dearborn Kitchen and Palm Palace were the best, then Covid came, and we basically stopped ordering out.Tonight, after I said I’d like to go to Palm Palace, but the last couple of times we went, we hardly touched the food and ended up throwing it out(once is a fluke, twice is unacceptable, three times, shame on me for going) he suggested Haifa Falafel. I called ahead to order(which was nice that it’s not just by app)Not only was it ready when I arrived for pick up(I live across the street)the owner was VERY nice, greeted me with a smile, the food was still warm when I got it home. There were plenty of sauces and extra pita. My Husband ordered the Lamb Kafta, I ordered the Shawafel, and we also bought a small side of falafel, garlic sauce and baklava.These were hands down, the largest and most delicious wraps I have EVER had, and I drive all over the state for a living and have tried many! We didn’t get the Mega Wraps, just the normal size! The spice was perfect on the meat, it was packed with veggies, and the sauce was divine! The grill he does at the end to seal the sandwich makes it so much easier to eat, as well.The side of garlic was nice and big and filled to the top(unlike Palm Palace, anymore) neither of us could get through the first half of the sandwich, but am already looking forward to lunch tomorrow.I call BS on the negative reviews. Food was wonderful, atmosphere and employee were great and because of one of the negative reviews, I did take a good look around and everything was very clean! I am now bummed over the time and money I wasted all these years at Palm Palace, and now I will never go back!Thank you SO much for a wonderful dinner! I cannot say enough good things!
