Elise Griffiths: A hidden gem off of Plymouth Road! Great vegetarian options, the food is delightfully homemade, and the ownership is about as friendly as it can possibly get. I love being tempted by the handwritten menu they regularly post on their facebook page. If you like, Ayse herself will cheerfully help you with a recommendation. I'm only mad I ate my food before I could get a photo!

Kim Batchelor: I'm pretty picky when it comes to Mediterranean food because I grew up eating that type of food homemade so I'm always a little wary going into a new place but WOW 10/10 tastes just like my aunt made it. The bubba was nice and smokey and the wrap had a nice crunch and was well seasoned. Also a good deal amount of food for a reasonable price. If you dont go for the side then you can easily get out for under 10 dollars and still be full. As it is I now have leftovers (exciting!) I think this place just became my new comfort food place for whenever I'm missing the taste of home. Also, the gentleman at the register was very nice and the food came out very promptly! :)Vegetarian options: Got the eggplant wrap and it was so good. Also they have a whole section on the menu labeled with veggie options.

Heather Tobias I: Hands down the best falafel around!Recommendation for vegetarians Highly recommend …More
Sarah Canlas: Felt like I should review this place because I come in decently regularly. Super fast service and tasty food. I usually get a moe’s pita and fattoush. The staff is super friendly too!
Erika G.S.: Falafel plate was really tasty!!!Spinach pies we order on the side was not as good.
Brianna Clifton: Tried eggplant pita. It was DELICIOUS!!
Shea Martin: This is a great spot. The people working there were very friendly and polite and the falafel pita I ordered was delicious! Definitely recommend.
Brittany: Chicken schwarmas are pretty good! Quick service!Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Big G: Very good food. Very fresh. Great people
Bak Lava: !!Attention Please!!This place has the BEST Baklava I’ve had!and plus the employees are super friendly.
VOID: This place is cool but they cannot compare to others for the price. Pita pita is way better. Off of Washtenaw in Ypsilanti. That's my personal opinion. Also you'll get out of there for less money. At pita pita 8 bucks can get you a 10/10 sandwich. 10 bucks here at pita king gets you a 6/10 at best.
Danielle Gilbert: Went for lunch, it was delicious!!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Xochi Sanchez: I came to this city to get a degree, but commuted for most of it because I couldn’t afford the rent. I finally was able to move to Ann Arbor a few months ago and realized most of the food (not all) in this city is very expensive for the lack of flavor. I got the degree but am still going to be here for at least a few more years if not longer and I don’t always have the ability to cook. Given the situation, I was a little sad about it but figured I could just eat bland food once in a while when I had to get takeout. But THEN! I went into Pita King. I have to tell you, their food was my savior. Literally finally something worth eating out for, everything is great. The Kareemo is my favorite, it’s worth the expense, it is literally the only “sandwich” in the area I will pay money for. And everybody is so chill! Once I went in and there was a lil guy, clearly somebody’s kid ringing us up and that brought me BACK. Kids in my family all the time used to help out at the restaurant or just come to work with their parents. It let me know this is the kind of business I wanna support. (Also seemingly queer/trans femme friendly, as I am one, I’ve never had a problem 3)
Rachel Allman: Amazing food and very nice staff!Recommended dishes Gyro Sandwich, Fries …More
Christopher Demetriou: Delicious. Thank you.
Naresh Luthria: Great food with great attitude !!Eaten at many places and this is def in the top 5 …. The food is fresh and has plenty of flavour.Tried the chicken shawarma sandwich and the falafel sandwich.
Samantha Riga: Food is fresh, very tasty, and responsibility priced!
Hunter Mellinger: Spicy chicken is amazing.
N G: UPDATE: the store reached back out to me and made things right. They reimbursed my order and offered apologies for my experience today and the misunderstanding. Now THAT is the Pita King i know. Thank you Pita King!My coworker and I placed online orders for Pita King. I called them after I realized I somehow placed an order for 2 chicken Shawarmas, and asked if they could cancel the second order. They said sure that’s no problem, and I then told them as an aside, that my co worker was picking up the food for me. I get a call from them after her pickup that they accidentally gave her a wrong order and need us to come back. No offer for a discount or free sandwich for their blunder, but okay. At this point we won’t be able to have our work meeting at the office because of these delays. When she finally got that sorted and got back to the office, she gave me two chicken shawarmas. I called the Restaurant and asked, they claimed they thought I was telling them I was gifting the second sandwich to my co worker. What the heck, I understand work can be busy but that is just incompetent. Charged for both, for what’s now a cold meal.now sure I understand it was my fault for placing the double order, but then don’t tell me it’s taken care of when I call about it.
Rayan Kaakati, MD: It was good. I got the Ameero sandwich. A little pricey— I think it should come with the fries/drink (would be more reasonable). It was prepared fast for pick up.Takeout: Yes Delivery: Yes Curbside pickup: Yes …More
nguyentv05: These positive reviews are either a joke or fake reviews. This is the worst chicken shawarma. This shouldn’t even be allowed to be called chicken shawarma. But hey i used to live in dearborn so i dont know what i was expecting. Came because of the reviews after shopping at trader joes, but never again. Also, the WORST customer service ever. Chicken shawarma isn’t worth the hype. Overpriced and gross tasting 🤢Free gross sandwich? No thanks. I’ll drive the 45m to dearborn for real shawarma
Shane W: Ordered first time using Door Dash, food was tasty and of likewise quality. I will be back.
ok ready: Always quality food and great service. Reasonable priced

Erin: Place is absolutely amazing, still and always. Everything is super fresh and just has the top-notch flavor/quality to it. Love the felafels, soups, anything meat they do is incredible, all of the different pickled veggies... Just YUM
Kaylyn Campos: You cannot skip the falafel here, it's in the name, and they certainly live up to it. The best falafel I've ever had. Their portion sizes are huge, one wrap can easily be two meals. Their fries are heavily seasoned, crispy, and not greasy. They don't skimp on the veggies in their wraps so it feels very fresh, with plenty of sauce so it's not dry. An important note, they have their allergen information right on the front counter. My husband has celiac disease and they specifically note what items contain gluten. They also have tons of vegetarian options. Very accessible and absolutely delicious! The staff is always very kind as well. Don't miss out on this place!
Patricia Palazzolo: Fattoush salad was not like normally get and i have eaten at many restaurants. Hardly no lettuce. My co workers tried to put order in online wouldn't let them workout credit card. When i picked up order cashier disregarded that and said u can order online then pay. So i had to wait and it took awhile i shouldn't of put tip on card when i ordered there. And sandwich wants that great for lambkafta hardly no flavor. I want in phone. Used phone to show cashier what my co worker was ordering. He didn't understand my English from menu.... no phone conversation going on not rude like this restaurant.

Koreen Miller: Tonight was my first time at Haifa Falafel. It used to be my husbands go to place until we met and I insisted Dearborn Kitchen and Palm Palace were the best, then Covid came, and we basically stopped ordering out.Tonight, after I said I’d like to go to Palm Palace, but the last couple of times we went, we hardly touched the food and ended up throwing it out(once is a fluke, twice is unacceptable, three times, shame on me for going) he suggested Haifa Falafel. I called ahead to order(which was nice that it’s not just by app)Not only was it ready when I arrived for pick up(I live across the street)the owner was VERY nice, greeted me with a smile, the food was still warm when I got it home. There were plenty of sauces and extra pita. My Husband ordered the Lamb Kafta, I ordered the Shawafel, and we also bought a small side of falafel, garlic sauce and baklava. These were hands down, the largest and most delicious wraps I have EVER had, and I drive all over the state for a living and have tried many! We didn’t get the Mega Wraps, just the normal size! The spice was perfect on the meat, it was packed with veggies, and the sauce was divine! The grill he does at the end to seal the sandwich makes it so much easier to eat, as well. The side of garlic was nice and big and filled to the top(unlike Palm Palace, anymore) neither of us could get through the first half of the sandwich, but am already looking forward to lunch tomorrow.I call BS on the negative reviews. Food was wonderful, atmosphere and employee were great and because of one of the negative reviews, I did take a good look around and everything was very clean! I am now bummed over the time and money I wasted all these years at Palm Palace, and now I will never go back!Thank you SO much for a wonderful dinner! I cannot say enough good things! Forget 5/5..it was 10/10!Vegetarian options: They offered many vegetarian dishes and regular dishes that could be made vegetarian per request.Kid-friendliness: The place had plenty of room, tables and chairs for dining and is nice and bright.Parking: There is plenty of parking upfront and they also have dedicated handicapped parking.Wheelchair accessibility: They have wheelchair accessDietary restrictions: They have several vegetarian options. They also said they have gluten free dishes availability, but not sure if it’s in a dedicated GF area.
Daniel Harvey: The best Middle Eastern food hands down in Ann Arbor and the surrounding area! Truly authentic food with impeccable service.
Michael Kuentz: Ali and his chefs are phenomenal. This place is always busy. Of course, the food is outstanding.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Baba Dari Mediterranean Grill: what do users think?
Fey Fishy: -Expensive-Tasty wraps-Abysmal, tiny portions-Disinterested, distracted employeesFood was good, but as you can see very little food for $91. Small baba ganoush costs $4 and literally was just a sauce cup worth. Rice was $5 and wasn't impressive size wise and wasn't even garnished. The largest portion of food was the fattoush salad.I ordered my food over 2 hours early for pickup at 4:15, I had to wait 17 minutes for it to be ready with only two other customers eating in the store. I'm all for employees to be comfortable at work(they had earbuds in), but they were talking with family/off the clock employee behind the counter. Didn't apologize for my wait, and if I hadn't checked through my order then they would have let me walk out without two $6 drinks. They were pretty uninterested and distracted. Upgraded my drinks for free($1 value) but didn't apologize for forgetting them in the first place. This place is best for takeout-lunch, look somewhere else if you want decent service, or fair food portions for money. Inside of the restaurant is pretty boring looking and undecorated, wouldn't suggest dining in.Parking: Few parking spaces in front of restaurant, in a very awkward spot.

Ruth Ann Buntin: I love their service and the atmosphere. However, I felt the food, in particular the chicken, wasn't as well seasoned as in times past.I was a little disappointed, but their service made the experience worth it.
Jason Makonehan: Hungry for iftar, 20 dollar bowl maybe gets you three strands of chicken and beef. Complete robbery. Not even good food either. do not wase your money here.

Arjo Mukherjee: Amazing food! I have lived in the Middle East for a very long time and Baba Dari reminds of my childhood and has a unique taste to its food. It's a must try!
Fareha Mir: We stopped for a quick bite while driving through the town and got 3 beef shawarma wraps and 1 falafel wrap and 1 tabbouli salad. Jami A: This 1-star review is based purely on the taste of my chicken shawarma sandwich... it was abysmal. Even my toddler refused to eat it, and chicken shawarma is one of his favorite treats. This sandwich’s chicken tasted like dead animal. There was only a smidge of garlic to hide the taste. Absolutely nauseating. Two other quick observations: 1) I was told my order would take 10 minutes, but it took 30, and 2) only one sandwich was made; I’d ordered two.
Trupti Khade: Fresh food, great place! What is even amazing is the service. I got something in my order that I didnt ask for and I told the server about it. He politely replaced my order, no questions asked! Truly an amazing place.

Su Liu: Great restaurant with delicious dishes!
Caroline Plotner: There’s nothing seriously wrong with this restaurant—the staff are normal and it’s clean and all—but the food just isn’t all that good. The falafel was a little soggy and slightly grey. The hummus and tabbouli didn’t taste like much. The rice was oily and artificially yellow.I have to wonder whether the people posting reviews have ever eaten Mediterranean food before. Or maybe I just went on a really, really off day…?I don’t like writing negative reviews, but I simply can’t recommend it. It’s mediocre.I wouldn’t go out of your way, and recommend Palm Palace, Casablanca, or even Jerusalem Garden instead. Or if you’re up for a drive, go to La Fresh in Plymouth (superb) or all the way to Dearborn (biggest Middle Eastern community in the US).

Robert K: Very good Mediterranean food in Northside Ann Arbor
Madison Schweikhart: We love Mediterranean food and have tried many of the restaurants in Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Livonia. Zamaan is our favorite. The lentil soup is amazing and the rice and salads are also so delicious. Employees are always so nice too. Highly recommend.
زاد: طعام لذيذ متنوع ، مكان هادئ ، خدمة جيدة ، المكان يحتاج مزيد من النظافة تحت الطاولة
Tammy Keskimaki: Recommended dishes Chicken ShawarmaMore
Sean Rice: Zamaan is a nice little cafe with good food and a friendly staff. I have stopped in a few times and each time the food was fast, hot and fresh. It looks like they took over another food location and have expanded. This section of the restaurant definitely needs improvement but the dining experience is nice.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Omar Shahrior: Excellent Halal Dining option.Good food, good prices, friendly staff.Best fries I've had in the area for half the price of the second best fries I've had in the area.Unbelievable

Ahmo's Gyros & Deli: what do users think?
Tony Hessenthaler: Stone School St. location has equal food, with better service, and is cleaner inside.I like the Ahmo's gyro (was skimpy on gyro meat today). The attached donut place is overall good.BOTH counters seemed less-than-thrilled to help customers though.
Nathan McDonald: What kind of a Mediterranean place doesn't have rice. Or were they just saying that?
theresa w: one of my go to places to eat, so good!! you HAVE to try their mediterranean fries 3Recommended dishes French Fries, Chicken Shawarma …More
L R: -10 stars. I ordered a greek salad from the cashier who was kind. However, the food preparer who was sitting in dining room (no big deal) got up to make my food. He did NOT wash his hands or put gloves on, and actually used HIS hands to put my ingredients in the container. I was beyond disgusted and immediately ask for a refund. I am so shocked that he thought that was ok..restaurant food service 101.

kash jais: The quality has gone down. The Gyro's are super dry now. They used to be juicy in the past. I hope they fix it. Gyros taste horrible

Erin Walker: It was good until I found hair in my food. Cook needs a hairnet. Otherwise cashier was pleasant!Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Gyro Plate with Rice, Chicken Shawarma …More
Cyber Desman: I had high hopes for this location based on the good reviews I heard about the other location in Ann Arbor.Even though the staff is very nice, the service was slow and unprofessional, making it clear that customer satisfaction is not their priority. It was frustrating to wait for an unreasonable amount of time for my order to arrive, especially considering that the quality of the food was not worth the wait. The hygiene standards left a lot to be desired, with a general sense of disorder and uncleanliness throughout the premises.I strongly advise against visiting this establishment. The subpar service, lackluster food quality, and hygiene standards make it a place you should avoid at all costs. Save yourself disappointment and frustration by choosing a more reliable dining option.
ξriη ξlaiηε Ꭶ •—YouΘɴlyLɨveΘɴce—•: Parking: The parking lot is as big as the building itself. Lots of room to manage a space, but none too far from the door.
Matt Dietrich: The donuts were freshly made before your eyes and the ladies quickly iced them to your preference. Price was decent for Ann Arbor. They were delicious and I would definitely come back again if in the area. The delightful staff was the highlight. They even gave out sample donuts for first time visitors.
Cyle Lowe: Gyros fries soda meal really good hereFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Tim White: Very fun mini donut shop. You pick your donuts custom flavors and toppings and they make them fresh.Great for a quick sweet bite or especially with kids.
Qu David: Absolute trash.

Reed Wolf (Reed): Only got fries and a Pepsi and the fries weren't even good, The guy up front was literally bragging about how this location made the most money and honestly really didn't have great customer service, 1 starFood: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
V A (Vince): Being from Chicago I could immediately taste Kronos gyro meat. Very good
Aldair Pacheco: Very good place to eat
Eric McGlohon: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Brenna Boyd: The last three orders that I have placed with this establishment has either gotten cancelled right before it was supposed to be delivered, or my card has gotten charged and the order never showed up. They apparently close over an hour early than their scheduled hours often or cannot deliver because they are slow and seemingly send someone home. How about don't offer delivery if you can't accommodate, and maybe update your hours instead of just closing at whatever time you prefer.
