Chia Shiang Restaurant: what do users think?
Kamran Diba: Previously this is was an excellent restaurant. However the ownership changed and the quality dropped significantly. The food is not bad, but not quite the authentic Szechuan perfectly spiced dishes as before. They also forgot to give us any rice in our take-out order, so not very good attention to detail.
DD Chen: They have some authentic Shanghai food, which are not on the menu, your have ask for itFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Vegan Orange Beef, Sizzling Tofu Vegan, Shrimp Lo Mein, Chicken Lo Mein …More
Aidar Utiamishev: Worst place to goUpdate: the owner replied that I’m a scam, but I’m not 😄 their dining area is still closed, I had a puck up and food was awful 😣Recommended dishes Pot, Fried Rice, Spicy Chicken, Orange Chicken …More
Jae Eun: Amazing food! Best chinese I had in Ann Arbor. I had the pork intestine hot pot
Kim Kim: The owner of the restaurant claimed that he is going to kill/abandon his dog. Do not come here!!!!
Jennifer Blacke: Chia Shiang did an amazing job with our large catering order yesterday. They were super helpful when I placed the order a couple weeks ago, taking the time to help me select dishes and figure out how much to get for our crowd of ten. All the food was ready on time and they helped me load it into the car. And it was so good! Truly delicious. Everyone loved it, especially the zucchini stir fry with egg.
Zhen Zhang: Very tasty and I will be back
Wild style Lin: It’s very sad that he claimed the previous owner(Mr. Pang) learned cooking on YouTube, but cooked way better than the “pro cooking school” current chef. And the owner doesn’t want to believe it even though everyone said “the old Chia Shiang” is gone. If you cannot carry the name and reputation of Chia Shiang, please just change the name you are insulting it, which an “you-called amateur” chef have built.
Dean Kung: Take out only so far. Tufu with crab was excellent as always.
Vincent Chang: Delicious, I usually order for delivery, sometimes Chowbus is busy and I pick up the food instead. Always good and will be back.
thomas ganley: Best chinese restaurant in Ann Arbor, by far.
Dan Negrin: This used to be a good restaurant. Alas, no longer. Out of the three dishes in our take out order, one was barely edible and two were just nasty. Especially disappointed with the Sichuan boiled beef which was truly foul.Never. Going. Back.
Yawei Chen: 椒麻鸡不错,老板也很nice
Wendy Tang: My always go-to place for spicy Chinese food!! Very authentic
T Brown: Customer service was excellent food was so delicious and fresh I ordered the. Chicken Lo mein I will definitely order from this restaurant again!!
Jarred Howard: Vegetarians or vegans stay clear. They don't know and don't care about meat broth in their sauces (typical for a lot of recipes); seems to be a don't ask, don't tell policy for that.EDIT: There you have it, straight from the owner. Small businesses can't cater to everyone so there are other options if you don't wanna eat animals in Ann Arbor. I'm sure the menu is lovely if you don't care about that.
Nicky Ja: Food was very greasy and staff was very rude, bad experience.
Robin: Trop de huile! Il n’y a pas de carrots dans la 鱼香肉丝 .
Edward Yao: Very very real and delicious Chinese food. The Food makes me emotional
Shirley Chen: If you enjoy spicy food, I highly recommend the Xinjiang style spicy chicken and spicy shrimp in hot pot. Yum.The portions are more than generous. I ordered 4 dishes and they can easily feed 8 adults. This is not the typical Americanized Chinese restaurant. People recognize that and celebrate the uniqueness. That’s something I love about Ann Arbor.
Xiu Zhou: Had take out last night, food is delicious.

King Shing: what do users think?
Chase Morantz: Absolutely terrible. The maim issue os the food ks bland. Not flavor at all. The sauces were horrible. Even the fried items were bad. On top of that, we ordered $120 worth of food. We’re visiting so we don’t have any condiments. They literally provided us 3 packets of soy sauce and 1 packet of sweet and sour sauce which absolutely needed for the bland food. The residents of Ann Arbor are giving away their money paying $15-$18/per entree.
Eric: The food was good!Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Dan Edwards: King Shing is a typical stripmall takeout. The place appeared busy. A plastic bag packed with my of food was ready when I got there 15 min. Almond chicken OK, Fried rice OK. Egg rolls Meh. 2 fortune cookies. No sauce packets with the egg rolls.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Roon: This is my favorite Chinese takeout place in the area. They are so quick you can order and immediately drive over to pick it up if you live like 15-20 minutes away. They handle large group orders like pros and never forget my food. I always order the Mongolian beef, pork lo mein, almond cookies, and crab rangoons. The portions are pretty big so the regular size is like a large and the large is family style. I can't believe this place doesn't have like 5/5 stars. The haters in these comments do not know what they want
Hunter Charvat: Best Chinese take-out place in town imo. Eaten here dozens of times and never been disappointed or had an even slightly bad experience. The food is consistently delicious and has honestly spoiled me a little, I am always comparing other take-out places to here and wishing I was having King Shing. Great prices, delicious food, most options are balanced meals with veggies, just love this place.Vegetarian options: Tons of veggie options, and they're great.Parking: right in front and always spaces available
Chris Lao: Quick, attentive to detail, and consistently deliver on the Garlic Chicken dish. I can't speak to the rest of the menu but I love the garlic chicken and fried jumbo shrimp!
Eddie Gruber: Best food on carpenter road, and always fast, I really recommend this place.
R. Hibbard: I will not longer do business with thia establishment, as they do not understand their customers. The only reason I ever went there was because the sold two liters. So... good luck with that.
Elizabeth Berenter: The fried rice was neon yellow (?) and tasteless. I took one bite of the egg roll and threw it out. A couple pieces of the almond boneless chicken were tender, but the rest was dry and overcooked, so gave the majority of it to my dog. The almond cookie (I only ate one, threw the others away) was very dry and had a bad after-taste. I used to be a server in a Chinese restaurant so I know what good fried rice, egg rolls, almond boneless chicken, and almond cookies taste like. This wasn't.
Alex Wisniewski: The chicken was stringy and hard to chew. Tasted like I was eating chicken bubble gum. Never thought imitation Chinese food existed.
Elizabeth Baca: Our absolute favorite place for takeout! Every dish we've tried is fresh and delicious and they have very generous portions. Super fast and friendly service tooFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5Recommended dishes General TSO's Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, Mongolian Beef, Chicken Lo Mein, Singapore Rice Noodle …More
The Pazyamors: Crab rangoon was good.
Regina Duncan: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Andrea Bradley: Best Chinese food in the area!!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Kate Holness: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Vegetable Fried Rice, Pad Thai, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Sesame ChickenMore
sergio mdk: Best Orange Chicken and Mongolian Chicken in TOWN!! PERIODFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef …More
Kenton Priestley: This is my go to for take out. I have been making an effort to try different menu items lately and I am glad I did. Everything is good and the people who run it are very fine folks. I feel lucky to have them in my neighborhood. New flavors areto be had if you dare adventure
Monique Noelle: I order Egg drop soup from here all the time, and I love it. But today, it was tasteless, like drinking warm water with eggs in it.
Eddie Smith: We have ordered food here more than 50 times. The food is consistently great and the service is always top notch. King Shing does not use MSG in any of their food, which is important for us, and what led us to try their food initially. And we have been happy and satisfied ever since. The steamed pork dumplings are exceptional, and the Mongolian beef, orange chicken, and chicken lo mein are all great entrées.Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options available.Parking: King Shing is located in a small plaza that has a free parking lot. During the dinner hour, the lot gets busy, and because it is relatively small, there is sometimes a wait for vehicles to pull in and out of their parking spaces.Wheelchair accessibility: Except for opening the outer door, this restaurant should be wheelchair accessible.Dietary restrictions: King Shing does not use MSG in any of their food, which is great for those who are sensitive to MSG.
Desi Garland: This restaurant has good customer service, andprovide good solution options if they mess up something.I usually order beef lo-main extra beef spicy and chicken fried rice with extra eggs and onions and an order of crab ragoon!I feel that the CRAB RAGOON ONLY has its cream filling and NO crab. The front counter workers tell me that it's in there, but you dont taste it... why is it called CRAB ragoon?!....Im allergic to seafood, so I know the taste of imitation crab meat when I taste it.. and it was not present!! This is the ONLY issue that I have at this store, and I've converted to making my own at home.

Lan City Noodle Bar (Ann Arbor): what do users think?
Ray Tabor: clean area, friendly helpful staff, had some really good general tso tofuFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jennifer Miller: Food was delicious, but the meat was not the best. I got the No. 1 beef soup on the menu, and the beef was tasty but it had an odd green tint to it and had alot of fat! I would definitely go back, but for safety sake, I will stick to the vegetarian options. Price was okay.
Richi: Good variety of asian food. And quick service. Malaysia goreng with shrimp, $16, is well balanced of not too spicy but a contains a good kick.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Danielle Clark-Ramsey: We drove 2 hours for these noodles and they nailed it! Worth the trip and we will be back 😍
Chulwon Lee: Best noodle shop in town. If you compare this with any noodle bar in China or Singapore or Taiwan or HongKong, you may be disappointed, but this place is at least authentic in many aspects. Brisket noodle soup and the Peking or DanDan noodle are recommended. What I order at this place is, a DanDan or Peking noodle with extra tripe on it. Put some chili oil and Chinese vinegar and mix it thoroughly, and Voila! You might want to add a side of rice for the leftover sauce too.
Leanne Shashlo: Truly the best asian food in the area, extremely authentic. LOVE the samosas, ramen, and dumplings. The pickup window makes take out easy and efficient.
Xiaopeng Wang: The hand pulled noodle is absolutely tasty. We ordered the signature beef noodle soup and the brisket noodle soup. Bothare good. And the portion of meet is satisfying. The place seems quite popular. But the line mived fast; We did not have to wait much. It is clean and the staff are friendly. It is interesting to see the chef pulling noodle, quite an art.
Daniel Winnick: Service was fine, food was so-so. Laksa looked great but very oily and pretty bland. (I’m not an expert on the dish, though, just my first impression.) Pork buns were disappointing—flavor reminiscent of Jimmy Dean. Also, please serve noodle soups HOT.
Some Guy: Took a party of 20 here from work. They were very accommodating. Food is good, quick and service is phenomenal.Music is nice and upbeat. A lot of traffic for this place and I can’t see why. Best restaurant in the neighborhood.Recommended dishes Dandan Noodles, Soup, Korean Fried Wings …More
Joggo: Quick, tasty, and filling. This is a great spot to bring your friends out for lunch.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Korean Fried Wings …More
Vazir Fatehi: Had a fun meal at Lan City, the soups are awesome. We tried the Lamb Noodle Soup and the Beef brisket and Tendon Noodle soup. The portions are healthy and adequate for one hungry person per bowl.Parking: A2 has free parking after 6pm and on Sundays, so the spots fill up fast although there plenty of parking within walking distance.
Jeff Withington: Chili oil noodles are my go to.
Doreen Bradley: Good food! Basic decore but a great place for lunch.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Elizabeth Rusanchin: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Noodle SoupMore
Chin-Hsuan Cheng: Food is good and price is reasonable.
Andi Budiwarman: It was great food, a nice atmosphere would come again for the Laksa seafood noodles.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes House Special Lo Mein Noodles, Laksa w Seafood …More
Bak Lava: 5 stars for the food and 3 star for the serviceRecommended dishes Noodle Soup …More
Ingrid Fichtenberg: I liked the noodles and everything tasted good. However I ordered soup dumplings and what I got was absolutely not soup dumplings. They were bone dry.
Chawoong Koo: I LOVE LAN CITY ANN ARBOR!!!!!!!
Kathy Elsner: Food: 2/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
CocutFX: Not the most flavored broth. Noodles are definitely hand pulled. But the price is steep for what it is. These go for $5-9 in Brooklyn and NYC, and are way more flavorful.
