Reggie Rodrigues: Heard about this place from friends and always wanted to try it. When I heard it is closing towards the end of the year I decided it was time to go. Food is very good with generous portions and reasonably priced and the staff is very nice. I will definitely return.I went at lunch time on a Friday so it was busy and noisy. The place is very popular.Be advised parking can be a challenge on weekdays but on weekends the parking structures nearby are free.Parking: The parking behind he restaurant can only hold about 12-15 cars, I think. But there is plenty of free parking on weekends.
Shawn Gillikin: Really good breakfast. Sad it closed
Joshua Polaczyk: Just an amazing local restaurant. Has been here for decades and it will be gone in December. We went on a Sunday morning at 9ish and there was no line. So go and don’t be scared of a crowd. The meals come out quick. Coffee is great. Make sure to get raisin bread.Recommended dishes Raisin Bread, Eggs Benedict Florentine, Deep-Fried French Toast …More
Madeline: genuinely heartbroken to hear this is closing. definitely visit while you still have the opportunity
Winnie Jung: Unfortunate that this place is closing down, but I had quite a bad experience dining in here on a Thursday morning. Oatmeal was too thick and gummy that it was difficult to swallow; when I asked for warm milk I received the response “I can get you milk but I’m not gonna heat it up for you,” which was not only snarky but resulted in the oatmeal being lukewarm, soggy, and overall unpleasant to eat. While there must be a lot of media frenzy around the restaurant closing, the waitress SCREAMED at me to stop taking photos in front of her, even when my phone was clearly directed at the food and not her face. Please chill out. That ruined the vibes and the meal for my entire family; it was especially disappointing because I had come in with my parents, and it was the last meal I would be having with them for months (I told the waitress that within minutes of coming in too). After that frightening interaction, I was severely uncomfortable with talking to the waitress for the rest of my time there, which is bad because she seemed to be the only person serving all customers and I didn't really have anyone else to talk to. Because of how crowded the place is, requests also take forever to deliver and the food is okay but nothing near extraordinary. I would suggest taking your wallet elsewhere.
Bryan Apple: Food: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Chris Gomez: Pros: Friendly staff. Coffee is good.Cons: Food is grotesque. For the huevos rancheros, the refried beans were clearly from a can, tasted foul. The salsa tasted like the store bought Pace salsa you use for dipping chips. Our french toast tasted like the bread was a week old, super dry, no flavor at all other than the syrup you pour on it.
Becca Cobb: Great place, great food, energetic atmosphere and friendly, hard working staff. Highly recommend but note that they are crazy busy so expect to wait.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Eggs Benedict Florentine …More
Heather Morelli: Half order of deep fried French toast with a glass of whole milk. Doesn't get better than that. Minus one star on atmosphere as the booth cushions are loosing steam now that I'm no longer a young kid eating here. A tad uncomfortable, so perhaps seek out a chair instead of you have a choice?Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Deep-Fried French Toast …More
K. S.: Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Erik Keup: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Jimmy Frye: Parking lot will swallow a regular car, be careful. Food was horrible. No hash browns available. No sausage links available. Toast was burnt when I asked for lighty toasted. Asked for over medium eggs, got them and they were over easy. It's not that hard to make a breakfast. Then I go to pay and because I used a CC , I have to pay extra. I will never return and I'd never recommend this place. The only good thing I can say is the waitresses were very nice.

Nick's Original House Of Pancakes: what do users think?
Krystal Grames: Staff is friendly but I got grossed out when I looked at some of the items placed on our table. Example is the creamer. It was so dirty! In little 1/2 1/2 cups but they were so dirty. She said because it was stored near the coffee but still yuck! Then my kids chocolate milk had something green in it! Last straw was the small hair in my salad. SerVer was amazing but I just couldn't eat there.
David Underwood: As a senior citizen, the portions were too big, but for younger people or anyone with a healthy appetite, it is awesome. The mixture of shredded & regular hash browns is unique. I would definitely recommend Nick's to anyone.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Sunny: Pray an older woman will not give you attitude for just existing, and this place will be okay. I get we all have bad days and it doesn't help when it's super busy, but that doesn't mean we should be plainly disrespectful to customers. I was uncomfortable and anxious during my entire meal and felt relieved to leave. Been here multiple times though, unsure if we'll be back. Maybe when it's less busy..

Michael Taillard: Servers can't be bothered to write down your order, resulting in lots of errors (missing items, incorrectly cooked, etc). Never checked on our waters once. Food was mediocre and bland (corned beef hash was mostly shredded potato, tomatoes were deeply refrigerated and flavorless, cheese was cheap and subpar). Jagged Fork: what do users think?
hussam al: You need to tell people that 18% gratuity is mandatory and included in the bill. The waitress brought me the credit card machine to pay without showing the bill and the machine asked for a tip so I included a tip and after I left I realized that the tip was already included and I ended paying tips twice! That’s deceiving!Note: if the service was good I won’t be that much upset but to be honest it is still deceiving
Mai N: The food was good. The waitress was kinda rude to us. They ask us for the payment without showing the receipt I paid and I didn't realize that 18% tip was auto included so I tipped her (although the service was bad) So now I tipped someone almost 32% for a bad serviceFood: 4/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Cheryl Stafford: The service was phenomenal. We had a 3 hr wait before my grandson basketball at the coliseu. One of the coaches decide we could walk and get breakfast since they had driven in from GrandRapids that morning and played earlier at 11. We more met by one of the employees who cheerfully asked where we coming there. When we said yes, they found space for the team and parents. The food was exceptional and the service was terrific. Not everyone is warm and welcoming when they see a large crowd, not here. Thank you all for a great time and superb food.
karmen johnson: Kid-friendliness: We brought our aau team in between games because we had a 3 hr gap and they had the best hospitality! They greeted us at the door and was glad to have us even as a big group with kids and took excellent care of us.
A Lew: Our server was great but the food was just ok. Nothing really stood out…
Anja Fossheim: Server was outstanding! the rest was "Meh.."Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Ryan Atkins: The service was phenomenal and the food was good but the owner? I think it was (Angelo is his name) was the issue with the day. I needed to do a bridal shower brunch for my soon to be wife and called multiple places 2 months prior to make reservations. Jagged Fork stated they don't do reservations but assured us they could accommodate our party as long as someone shows up roughly an hour early. We did have 3 of the 20 there an hour early and waited at the bar. As soon as the rest of the party arrived Angelo was very pushy and NOT accommodating like previously told. Right after we received our food he was talking to my wife and I trying to rush us out. Now I grew up in the service industry, so I understand flipping tables, BUT there were 2 open tables and no one at the door waiting, so they had seating if someone needed it. Still being rushed out by Angelo until we left. Definitely don't recommend this Jagged Fork, especially if you're not a regular, Angelo seemed to cater to a few guests, which seemed to be regulars.
Kevin B: Food: 4/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
H F: Our daughter brought us. The food was excellent. Decent portions. The service was very good. Angelo (owner) was friendly. I enjoyed chatting with him.My complaint: need better coffee beans and drop the 18% mandatory tips.In summary, this is my new breakfast place.Definitely, no more Zola Cafe
Yuhui Lai: The attitude do their staff was bad af. I was trying to ask some questions on the phone, and they just hang up without even finish listening to my questions. Terrible service, definitely wouldn’t go there.
Jay Roberts: They force a take out fee
Che Foster: Mediocre overpriced food, rushed service and constant reminders to refill beverages. Oh and the added 18% gratuity to the bill prior to me knowing I might add brought my total bill to $62.78. As a party of 2 we had an omelet, coffee, mimosa, sprite and a cheese hamburger?? Adding injury too insult, when I paid I had the option to leave ANOTHER tip on top of the mandatory 18%. Really?? The best thing about the visit was the cream cheese on top of the wife's red velvet pancakes(not fluffy) and my French fries which says enough unto itself. I've been in the hospitality industry at a high level for over 25 years, there's nothing worse than feeling you've gotten gouged especially for mediocre food. Will not be back, which is sad because this was our first time. I also noticed there aren't ANY replies from ownership/management addressing the many similar complaints in these reviews. That should tell you enough about this scam of a restaurant and the people running it.
Kvaujin: Service was good, food tasted good... hygiene was questionable. No one cleaned or steamed out the steaming wand on the espresso machine or the steaming pitchers, ice bin was uncovered, and I saw a server do something on his phone and then, without washing his hands, reach into a glass to take ice out of an iced latte. Since this was in plain sight, makes me wonder what hygiene is like in the kitchen where we can't see.
Irene Yoon: I stopped in for Saturday morning brunch with my cousin today and was looking forward to my first meal in Ann Arbor. It was packed with a wait about 35 minutes at around 10:45am.The positives: The hostess couldn’t have been nicer even with the morning rush. I got the Voodoo Benedict which was delish and had a spicy kick which I loved. My cousin ordered the corned beef hash skillet which she thought was pretty good. Big portions so she was able to take half of it as leftovers. The not-so-positives: We were seated, ordering food took a few minutes, but again it was busy so it was no big deal. However, when our food was taking longer than the other tables around us that had been seated after us, I checked in with our waiter, Daniel, by asking if he would check in on our order. He promptly and condescendingly responded that he had just seen the food “with his own eyes” and that it was coming as though I didn’t believe him. I thought his condescending tone was weird but moved past it. I completely understand that he can’t control how fast the kitchen works. A simple “It’ll be out in just a second, thanks so much for your patience!” would’ve sufficed. Then, when he delivered my plate, he slid it across the table like a frisbee, no eye contact, no comment about the wait and sashayed away. I was overall pretty disappointed with this experience. If I was back in town, I would give the Jagged Fork another shot for the food and the super sweet owner, but unfortunately, not for Daniel.
Joggo: I was not informed about the gratuity fee that was placed into my bill. The food was alright and the service was sufficient. Great for brunch, but wouldn't come back often.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes …More
Josh: Foods great, but just make sure to check your bags for carryout(like most places)Food: 5/5|Service: 3/5 …More
Chris Gomez: Pros: quality food, well prepared, big portions, friendly staff.Cons: forced 18% gratuity for dine-in customers was a surprise. When cashing out, the server has a handheld device where you pay with credit card. As you follow the prompts, it asks for tip %, which we happily left 20%. However, upon inspecting the receipt, we realized there was an additional 18% gratuity added for dining in. Felt deceived, there were no signs that I could see that warned of this. Also, food took over 25 minutes.
Khurram Rehman: The omelets, hash browns, and pancakes are amazing! The red velvet pancakes are great and they give plenty of hash browns.Parking: There are parking structures nearby and you can park on the roads west and east of the restaurant.
Yiqi Li: Great portion. You can upgrade the side pancakes to special pancakes for only $2 (I upgraded mine to fruit explosion pancakes and loved them). The only problem is this place is too popular and you need to get here early in the morning to get a table.

Noah Zimmerman: What a great place! I have been here countless times throughout my time at UM, from friend brunches, bringing my family, and even a first (and recurring) date. It’s a criminally underrated brunch place and if you have the pleasure of having Senna as your waitress, you will be well taken care of.I recommend getting the pancakes. They’re big and fluffy and the toppings are delicious. Plus, you can get a side of eggs and hash browns (which I think are the best in Ann Arbor) for pretty cheap too.So, to summarize, cheap food, great service, perfect location, what isn’t to like!? Thus, five stars.
Saad Qureshi: Nice location and ambiance but slow service and poor food quality. QR code online menu hides prices. Attached is a photo showing a bug found in our food (questionable kitchen cleanliness), no compensation was provided, the item was just remade. Many better options in Ann Arbor especially considering the cost
Buttons n Rubbish (ButtonsnRubbish): Mediocre food. Ordered Eggs Benedict with salmon and a decaf coffee. My eggs came without the capers and when I asked the waitress I was then told that they were out. The bechmel sauce still tasted of uncooked flour and was gritty. The waitress only refilled my partner and I's coffees after asking several times, and even then it was only half a cup. The ceiling pieces were dusty and the overall place is pretty slapdash. I'd rather spend my money at a local diner.
Cecelia Pyszora: This is my granddaughters favorite breakfast restaurant. She invited us there after the graduation ceremony at the Big House. We absolutely loved it! I had a hard time deciding what to order because Everything sounded so good! We all had something different and we all loved it!Vegetarian options: I ordered the vegetarian option. Glad it was a choice. 😊Kid-friendliness: It was awesome! My grandson kept an eye on the football game on the television.
Maddie C.: We went here for brunch on a Saturday (around 11 am) and were seated with no wait, which was nice. I ordered the Italian grilled cheese and it was delicious. It came with waffle fries that were tasty as well. The food came quickly but we had some issues cashing out. To pay, you're supposed to scan a QR code on the receipt but it wasn't working for either myself or my friend. We had to flag someone down to pay with card but it took a while for anyone to notice us. It was busy though, so I understand that. We left a little after noon and there was a wait then. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant.

Rose Sproat: update: even at 8:30 a.m. while the restaurant was empty, with a party of 15, they wouldn’t seat us unless all 15 were there.don’t visit on a weekend unless your entire party is willing to wait 30+ minutes. even when 3/4 people in our party were there, we were skipped over when tables were ready. An extra fifth person joined our party while we were waiting, and the host was so unfriendly and cold that I was wondering if she would make our party leave after already having seated us. i was charged for a side when my order’s description said it included a side and wasn’t told this until it showed up on the bill. food was bland but the servers were friendly and the food was plated well. spare yourself the wait and overpriced food and go to franks instead
David Silver: Kid-friendliness: Brought my 3 kids, wife and mother in law for lunch. Very kid friendly. Carly O'Neill: Love this place! Came in to study and grabbed food & coffee. Service was amazing and food was great. Will definitely be coming back.
Ingrid Rothschild: I just had lunch at aMa this afternoon and had such an incredible experience. It is very cute, cozy, and aesthetic inside. Not only did my food look good, but it tasted amazing and came out pretty quick for being busy. They have a big menu & it catered to our whole party (especially those with a sweet tooth!). You should expect Ann Arbor prices for their food & a virtual menu. Waitstaff was attentive and enthusiastic, we’ll definitely be back!
Gino Gisondo: Food great. Staff is nice. Plenty of varietyFood: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Toast Parking options Parking is unavailable …More
Rebecca Denenberg: I came here twice. Both times it was bad. Worst brunch place on campus. Not sure why people keep coming back. Everyone I know agrees. They also don’t have prices on their menu so u have no idea how much you’re paying.
E Zietlow: Food: 2/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Emily Rouse: You need all of your party present to put your name down which is quite annoying but I understand. The food was so good and cheaper than expected. They have a qr code menu which is nice. They didn't split our bill or ask if it needed to be split which was a little hassle between our group.Love the decor and the staff was very friendly!Vegetarian options: Very accommodating for vegetarian options. They were happy to substitute non dairy milk as well.
Alexander Hsu: great food
Agnieszka Knych: Do yourself a favor and eat literally anywhere else. The lady who runs the host table is extremely rude and off-putting. The food here used to be good but during the pandemic the quality really went down and never got back to pre-pandemic since. Produce isn't fresh, the order was messed up, food was bland, and it was served cold. The last time I stopped by, I waited to be seated for 30 minutes. When I finally inquired about the wait, a young male server told me they skipped my name and had seated 4 parties past mine (after host told me to wait in the corridor to be called in)… I will not be coming back here. Do better.
Deborah “Destinykids” Abodunrin: Only thing good was the French toast, very slow service, order was messed up, don’t have accurate prices on their menu, not rlly seasoned but nice vibe overall

Jeffrey Duart-Digon: Sold me a near expired flank steak
Victoria Aquilino: Grass fed, grass finished, well-marbled, fresh meats with great customer service! Best butcher in Michigan!
Kristin James: I came here specifically for ground duck meat. The gentleman at the counter was very warm and accommodating. I've been here once before, and was very pleased to find that they had ground duck. So glad they still do! It's hard to find! This market has some interesting finds with lots of variety. Give this place a try, especially, if you're already there for the farmer's market!
Dung Le: Quality ingredients to help start most meals, unparalleled land protien counter.
Somnath Roy: Lively grocery store in Ann Arbor downtown. Have some good options of food.
Ryan Zink: Place has amazing meats along with many other small items.
Dan Gunter: Awesome place! We were really focused on the butcher counter so I can't say a lot about the rest of the place, tho there did seem to be a very good range of items and my wife found a spice that she had looked for for some time. But the meat counter was astounding! From thick bacon thar was easily 3 times thicker than I've ever seen before thru sausages and huge steaks and racks of lamb. Very helpful and attentive staff, quite reasonable prices. A great find.
Bruce C: There is a lot of expired product on the shelves. Not impressive and there are better options.
Michael Alexander: Great store
Mijeong Kwon: In 2016 summer, for some reason, this place had the MOST delicious OJ I have ever had in my life. It was beyond orange... it was something else. Since then I have been coming back to this place from time to time to try their OJ, which has not been that extraordinary but still great. They also have very affordable mix of beef/lamb. My cats love it when I cook it and give it as treat.
jmzcolton: I ate the best ribeye steak I've ever had in my life, and I bought it here. They also had dried, wild-foraged morels, which elevated the steak to ridiculous levels of deliciousness.Did it cost $77 for the raw ingredients? Yeah.Worth it, though.
Allen Karpiak: Great little market
Ken Delor: Really good meats to pick from and seafood
Sharon Beckett: Best place inAnn Arbor to buy meat. Great quality, wide variety and competitive prices.
paul k: They have good prices for produce for downtown a2
Andrew Chang: Even with the bustle of farmers market, the meat counter and checkout staff are attentive and friendly
Stephen Smith: Love this place, such high quality, never gone wrong here. Always variety seafood you didn't think of.
Charles Carlson: Great service, selection and staff
John T: I visit this place at least twice a week and pay a visit to the meat counter. Very reasonable prices, very high quality meat! Also, I love that Bob Sparrow hires women to be the butchers!I also get a good laugh because sometimes the crowd that gathers is so Ann Arbor, with people asking if the meat is organic, not understanding that it's the same quality, and the sort.I'm leaving Ann Arbor in July and this will be one of the places I miss the most!
Heather Schlorff: Love the variety of products! I make sure I bring a cooler so I can stop whenever I'm in Ann Arbor! Meats are the best!
Karen Barbu: Nice place

The texture of the bread left a lot to be desired and the canned sliced peaches were just that.Overall, between atmosphere and food, I would return again for more grits and to try other menu items.

It has beautiful murals on the wall and the bar area is gorgeous. You will not be disappointed with any entree that you order, as the restaurant was very busy when I visited and was able to view a lot of other plates that people had ordered. There wasn't an empty table for more than 5 minutes. The presentation and portion sizes are great. My waitress was Megan, she was great and very attentive. Our cups were never empty and, she made sure at all times that we had everything we needed. The kitchen staff got our order out correctly and beautifully plated and in a very timely manner, even though the restaurant was full the entire time of our visit. This restaurant is a great new find and is our new favorite. Thank you French Toast Bistro of Plymouth for your great food and attention to detail in our order. Liz H: We tried this place on a whim and have found a new favorite! Every food item we've tried has been amazing (best biscuits and gravy I've ever had!) and the service is wonderful. The wait is honestly worth it. Weekends are busy but we never waited the full time quoted when we put our names on the list. Overall I highly recommend this place.
Angel Kuhn: The guy at the front that does the seating was a little confused about which tables were available, so he'd take us in one direction the back pedal to another direction before finally finding us a table. However, the server, Megan, was really nice! And the food was good.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Baked French Toast, White Cheddar Grits …More
JT Pedersen: Good service, good and attractively prepared food. Cosmetically appealing interior. Only downside is when busy it is incredibly noisy and makes conversation difficult. Some sound deadening tile would help a lot.

Elaine Bell: EVERYTHING about this place was extremely PLEASING! Our Waitress Maisah A. was so pleasant & knowledgeable about all questions I asked. Service is excellent! The food was indescribably DELICIOUS! I never eat all my food when eating out, I left not 1 crumb. My husband & I can't wait to go back because we want to try a little bit of EVERYTHING! We've adopted this as our new spot! I will definitely suggest this place to any & everyone! Thanks for the great Dining Experience!
Tina Buckner: Great place to eat
Cherise Parker: Our server/bartender Mike B. Was a 10 out of 10, I highly recommend. My gumbo was unsatisfactory and he immediately resolved the issue with a smile. He was personable and a pleasure to dine with. His Espresso Tini's were top tier! I'll be back!Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Keeley D: French toast canton is my absolute favorite brunch spot. I go as often as possible lol… I’ve had a wide variety of things on their menu and I have to say everything is delicious. It’s so hard to choose what I want when I go because it’s all so good. I went yesterday with my mom and kids and had the Lobster omelette (for the first time and didn’t get a pic), grits and biscuits and I added grilled shrimp… yummy!!! I had the tropical mimosa which is my fav… I always upgrade to a manmosa (bigger sized mimosa). If you are considering eating at French toast bistro I definitely recommend you should! You won’t regret it! Everyone is so polite and the restaurant is always clean and a good vibe. I definitely recommend the shrimp and grits… I’ve had it with added blackened salmon before as well as with the fried catfish (when they had it as a special). Also the peach cobbler French toast is amazing. Also their grits are unmatched!

T Bis: Our food was delicious. I think our server forgot about us. There was a another person taking care of the tables around us and we could see our server on the other side of the restaurant. I think we were an out of sight out of mind table.Food: 5/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Kristin Roberts: Summary:I enjoyed the fried shrimp, cheddar grits, greens, chicken and waffle, biscuits, and drinks. The spicy food is not spicy, but is still good so that don't be afraid to order!Details:This bistro offered outdoor and indoor seating. The outdoor was a little cramped, but the short wait time made up for it. Pop music for the French bistro was a little off-putting.Staff was exceptional! We were told a quick history of the restaurant while we received our menu. Our waiter was very kind and attentive. The drinks were delicious, strong, and reasonably priced. We had the French 77 and the I believe the French toast dessert cocktail. The food was good but a few tweaks would make it better. In total we had the gumbo, chicken and waffle, fried Cajun board, and the lobster omelette. I will start by saying the level of heat for this Cajun bistro was nowhere to be found. The gumbo, Cajun aioli, and chicken and waffle with the hot honey were not spicy (this is coming from someone who doesn't do well with spice to begin with). Just a dash of Frank's to these would have really elevated the food! The lobster omelette tasted slightly muted. Lastly, I would love if the waffle was a little thicker! In all, I would come back knowing exactly what to order.

Mohamad Baqer Nasser: The bartender (the one without hair) is very very rude and doesn’t has customer service, he is non host guy, and extremely racist.
Josh Theisen: Gotta love a boozy brunch ;) good bloody mary, I recommend the shrimp with it. I really liked the hot honey with the chicken and waffles. Service was good and prices seemed ok.Parking: Plenty of parking
