Red Roof Inn Ann Arbor - University of Michigan South: what do users think?
Klono: Great place to stay for the price. They allow 1 pet to stay with you!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
Michael Viger: Absolute worst experience ever. Staff was unbelievably rude, invasive, paid for 2 nights and was going to stay a 3rd but we got delayed 30 mins past check out (during which time they had 3 different staff members aggressively pounding on the door 3 different times, and told them each time we were renewing our stay) due to them not accepting over the phone payments (it’s 2023!!!). When we got cash to take to the desk, they belittled us and said they were within their rights to call the police since we weren’t out at 11. They didn’t offer a prorated extension like other establishments with good service, they threatened to call the police….then refused to renew our stay for a 3rd night. When we went to collect our $40 deposit after getting our belongings out, it had mysteriously disappeared and they told us we didn’t leave a deposit (we did). And we just found ourselves covered in bed bug bites!
Jack Miller: Comfy little spot and easy to get to shops and the mall but that bathrooms are a little cramped and the bathroom fan is crazy loudRooms: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
David Paladino: Check-in was quick. Booked online. Stated online there would be an additional 50$ convenience/service fee of some sort paid in cash at check-in. Never happened so that was a plus. At the counter, the king room appeared to have a fridge and coffee maker of which there was noneFood & drinks: There was a hooters in front with in walking distance and many other choices a quick drive up the street.
jamal ibrahim: I was asked to put 40$ security deposit and when i left I wasn’t refunded ( a different lady was at the reception who knew nothing) anyway i was advised to call later. I called and when i asked for the deposit the lady hung up on me and when i called back she said she wasn’t gonna argue with me and hung up again! Big thieves. Not recommended.
Angela M: Got a room here while my power was out from the recent ice storm. While I wasn't expecting much from a red Roof inn, the pictures online were definitely nicer than the actual room I stayed in. Also, the price of the room was doubled because of the power outages.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Matt Dietrich: You get what you pay for. Close to University of Michigan campus (less than 2 miles). The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. We will leave it at that.
Miriam McGrath: Great location. Staff were very helpful. Love the fact they take dogs. Great value for the money. Shipping, restaurants close by. Will stay againRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Clean Champs: Roaches everywhere would not recommend front desk is no help and inconsiderate
Stephanie Avellino: Horrible horrible place mean evil stall
Courtney Hladish: Room: dirtyAroma: pinesol/mold/smokeVibe: bed bugsThe room was decrepit there were some sort of bugs. The curtains were ripped. There were stains everywhere, bed, chairs countertops. It smelled like moldy smoke with layered in pinesol. Tried to deal with the situation via corporate but was playing phone tag calls back and forth for weeks. No one could help or give a refund after paying for 5 nights and leaving after 10 minutes. The people that work there were extremely inappropriate and rude. It almost seemed like they wanted to escalate an already horrible situation. I would rather lose the money than have to sleep there.I recommend staying at the Sonesta next door. It’s more affordable, clean, and spacious.
Laura Turner: VERY GOOD PPL GOING BAC THIZ WEEK:)Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Pramit Das: Customer service isn't efficient. The place doesn't give basic stuff like toothpaste and brushes in their rooms.

Days Inn by Wyndham Ann Arbor: what do users think?
Corey Amison: I love the manger Eric. He’s turn this place around completely. Helping people who truly don’t have . Y’all are a blessing from god things that y’all do for people and I’m honored to call you a friend.
Theresa Heichel: Rooms: Under renovations, However the new rooms are nice, welcoming colorfully chosen decor matches the Day's Inn color scheme 👍Safety: Cameras 📸 everywhereSo safety is NO ISSUEWalkability: Across the street from Bob Evans, KFC Red lobster, White Castle a Mediterranean restaurant right next door.
prathik shirolkar: Had my family stay at Days Inn. The staff spoke rudely with my family. The hotel cleans ur room once in a week. The bed sheets and comforter weren't clean when we moved in.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Joseph Liptak: This place is good for a cheap hotel, nothing fancy. Utilitarian! On the add on the third party website the exterior color was unique, we got there and they had repainted it. Kind of a bummer!!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
Rex Jiang: The wifi is terrible. It's slow and unstable, and connection gets lost very frequently.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Nicole Parsons: We booked a room with 2 queen beds through priceline. When we got there we were but in a room with 2 twin beds, the lights, fridge and tv were all unplugged. When we got everything plugged in, there was no cable in our room. They put us in another room with 2 twin beds, there was a busted mirror in the room in which we told the front desk it was fine since we had been on the road all day and had another long day ahead of us. Room was clean just didn't get what we booked and it's very uncomfortable for 2 adults to sleep on a twin size bed
John Perdue: I’d have to say this has to be the worst hotel I’ve ever tried to stay at. My wife and I drove almost 9 hours and after having some car problems and getting there late was told they don’t allow for people to check in after 12am.Awful customer service truly appalling.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Anthony: No power to tv, fridge & microwave and how am I supposed to figure that out? Second day juice was not working or turned on. The rooms were decent but hallways smell of BO! I guess this is why it’s the cheapest around!
AstroGummi: Breakfast and service was pretty good, but rooms felt pretty sketchy and had no soaps. location was convenient thoughNearby activities: Convention center 10 minutes away
veronica kashaka: I really don't like leave bad reviews, but this hotel was the worst I ever stayed in,the first room we were given was on the ground floor, the hallway smell like weed, the toilet backed and the water spilled on the floor, the tub did not drain, the fridge need a crowbar to open. No coffee, as most hotels provide, they move us to an upstairs, thing got alittle better, I spend 8 days there, My room was cleaned once, I had to provide my own blankets, the tub again wouldn't drain on my last night , Theres no elevators. My sister and I are seniors, and walking up stairs is very difficult for us. The breakfast the hotel provides, is simply nothing, toast, waffles, bagals and some sort sweet, its was a very nasty experience.I am not sure if they employs a cleaning staff, and I ask front desk repeatedly to have my room clean, it was done on the night last night of my stay. Most of the desk clerk were nice and friendly, in particular a young man named Imani, who was very helpful in getting me some blankets. There were times when the front desk not manned, and guests had wait around. I suggest, anyone wanting to stay there, think twice about it. I hope this helps.
Joseph Walton: WORST HOTEL EVER! I asked for a room with two beds and one of the beds did not have it's blanket and the staff couldn't fix it till our third day of being there we had to buy a blanket from the store. If you run out of toilet paper in your room you will need to go to the store and buy it yourself. I will never come back to this place again.
Calyn Favise: The room was so dirty. Dried blood stains on the carpet and in the bathroom, whole place reeked of cigarettes, dirty bathroom. One roll of toilet paper and two towels, when we asked for more the worker was very rude. Both beds didn’t have blankets, when we asked for more toilet paper, towels and blankets he said “can I do anything more? Do you guys want a cocktail too” very passive aggressive and rude. Don’t stay here y’all.
Coleen Nichols: Rooms: Room was very nice clean. Bed was very comfortable. Hardly any TV channels TV was very fuzzy. No Internet connection.Walkability: Can walk to restaurants very close.Noteworthy details: Not many TV channels No internet connection.
Hugo Cinco: Worst place to stay. First room stank, clearly smoked in. The second room had an open slider door with no Latch or lock. Third room had huge blood stains on the floor between the beds. Fourth room had a wide open slider door as well. I don't feel safe here. We opted just to stay in the first room, but we're not getting any sleep. My 6 year old son with autism was crying for a few hours about having seen all that blood, crying to go home. Looks like they don't even check the rooms between rentals. Stay literally anywhere else.Safety: UNSAFE. doors with no locks and blood stains all over one of the rooms. We are literally unable to sleep in here. We are just sitting here until the morning. My kids can't sleep. Wife can't sleep.

anita adkins-travis: Pictures must be from 20 years ago on their website.... . things were old, outdated and not very clean...
Jan Baer: We were here for 3 nights, attending our nephew's graduation from University of Michigan. We felt the rooms were overpriced $420 per night for a basic hotel room. The included breakfast was very average and the elevator was out for a day. None of the fitness equipment worked in the gym, every piece of equipment was broken except for one which was the 50 lb dumbbell 🙄 The only good thing for the bar where we were able to order a pizza which was delicious! The kids staying at the hotel seem to be enjoying the pool.We are loyal Hilton members so next time we'll stay with them.
Liz: Horrible! I feel bugs crawling on me, I itch every second after pillows suck and I’m red right after, light switches are so hard to find everyone is so loud. Never coming her again.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More

Amy Ko: I came for a week long visit to the University of Michigan. The room had a bed and was quiet, and the Wi-Fi was solid, but those were the only upsides. There were many downsides:- The bus line that stops nearby only comes every 30-60 minutes. There were no side walks to get to the bus, no shelter during rain. The Spin scooters don’t make it this far out.- The shower wouldn’t drain and the staff wouldn’t fix it- Housekeeping sometimes wouldn’t come, or wouldn’t restock basic things like toilet paper- When checking out, they’re computers didn’t work. It took 10 minutes while I was trying to leave for the airport.- People are rarely at the front desk, so you have to shout to some back room to get their attention.- My key card stopped working twice during the week.- The room was moldy, aggravating my allergies- The lights were dim- There was no makeup mirrorI wouldn’t recommend it unless you need a very cheap stay and have a car.
John McQue: I just happened to grow up less than a mile from here, it used to be a Holiday Inn, and was in such old and used shape they were going to renew it entire place but decided to just sell it rather than put the money to renew the place. Make this place the last resort if you have to stay here during game season's.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Carl Idler: We were there for an event and we're so busy taking care of things. The night we came back into our hotel room. We found mold exposed wires paint coming off the ceiling and when we went to the desk they said well you can leave or get a new room and the Hotel was booked so we couldn't get another room so they basically told us we had to leave. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in we were there from April 17th to 19th Our event was ruined by this hotel and it's staff You would think working for Hotel chain they would have more respect And not treat you like trash my Recommendation for anybody that stays there not to stay They don't Care about their guests nor care about their health
randy weldon: From the time we checked in until we checked out, this place was a disappointment. They said they were overbooked and had to put us in the tower rooms. This resulted in a $40 per night upcharge. I was able to talk with management and get the upcharge removed. The air in the room didn't work. We had a dinner with a group. The ribs were so tough you couldn't eat them. The pool closes at 10pm. They come in a 9pm and turn off the heater for the whirlpool. Several locations had bugs and we found bugs swimming in the apple juice at breakfast. The breakfast eggs and sausage were cold. Although we saw maids, our room was not serviced, but it was obvious that eating breakfast was more important to the maid staff as 10am every morning you could find them at the breakfast area.I will nor stay here again and recommend the same to anyone considering this establishment.Rooms: Rooms were being remodeled and they were still putting people in these rooms. Plaster was falling off ceilings, no hot water in several rooms, and outdated look everywhere.Food & drinks: Ribs were so tough, you couldn't eat them. We were supposed to have tea, water, and coffee which none were offered. Had to use the cash bar instead. Breakfast buffet was poor. Hot food cold and bugs in food and apple juice.

The University Inn Ann Arbor: what do users think?
Eric: Good location, the room was nice, price is reasonable, Only thing is I feel they could have put more effort into the breakfast. I will be back though!Rooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More

Steve Butterfield: This is an old, tired, motel that has seen it's better days. It is definitely a very basic place to spend the night while you are visiting Ann Arbor. It's okay, nothing more. It's location is great.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Amber K: Close to stores, quiet location, friendly staff, large rooms, 11 check out. Nice😎Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Madison VanCleave: I don’t even know where to start with my experience at this “hotel”. This is a motel, even though it is advertised as a hotel. Now onto the problems with our first room, it was not clean it looked like there was dried blood on the sheets. You could see outside from the ac system, as well as under the door. Shower was dirty, and hair still on the drain. And nail next to the microwave. We asked for a different room due to the first being unclean and there was no apology or urgency, took us to the second room and the employee admitted that this one wasn’t the cleanest either. As you can see in the last 5 pictures there looked to be bodily fluids still on the carpet, when we looked under the sink there were dirty bags as well as a pop can still there. The sheets were cleaner but they were still very questionable spots. And you can’t forgot about the lovely bug that crawled out of the sink in the morning. This place is not worth your money, go somewhere, you deserve it. I wish I had gone to a different hotel.
Bryan Parson: Stayed there a while back and my wife ended up getting bit by bedbugs multiple times. Not one returned email or phone call. They initially told me that they would refund the last couple days of our stay, then immediately change their story to “not our problem, take it up with the booking agency.” The last couple reviews we tried to leave never ended up showing on Google. I will honestly be shocked if this one does. Long story short, spend your money elsewhere.
Chris Matthew Porter: Review coming soon.
Jessi Kate Roeters-Chapman: Clean and basic. Exactly what we needed and a great priceRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Daniel Obiagbaoso: It is really nice, but the location was not really a big for meRooms: 2/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Quentin Ikuta: 2 star review for 2 star hotel. You can get what you pay for. The walls and doors are not well insulated or sealed meaning you can easily hear people outside. Had to request fresh sheets and towels due to stains. Stains on everything. Dial pad on microwave was coming off. However, for the cheap price ($75/night after taxes) the location is very good and convenient, heat worked well, beds are of acceptable comfort, shower water was hot, and staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast room was also handy.
Vikram Kulkarni: Location is great. The prices are affordable. The property is old, but gives decent value for your money.Staff was helpful. We had to extend our stay due to flights cancellations caused by winter storm Elliot. The staff was accommodating and allowed us to stay for two more nights at the same rate. We ended up leaving after one day in the extended period and the management refunded the remaining money.
Karen Garvey: You get what you pay for. The room was in need of a good, deep cleaning. Carpet had lots of stains. Comforter on bed was extremely grey and thin. Cobwebs along floorboards. Mini blind in bathroom did not completely cover the window, which overlooks Stadium Blvd. The worst part, however, was the door to the outside. The frame had obviously been broken in the past and patch job was unsightly and looked unsafe. The deadbolt was in dire need of some maintenance and I had a difficult time unlocking it. I chose this motel because it had a good Expedia rating and the room photos were nice, but extremely misleading. I travel to Ann Arbor often but I will not stay here again.
Annette Belonga: The hitel is old and is in need of repair but the room was clean and comfortable. The loction was easily accessible to both Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti. Pulling on to the main room took a bit of time and patience. Staff was curtious and informative.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Tammy Ebbert: No elevator n stairwell railing to short an steps somewhat narrow not a good option for the disabled
Teresa Orozco: This place is not even get a star from me- but I have to put one cause it won’t let me post… literally got bit up from bed bugs…… went to go tell the lady in the front desk and she did not believe, I had to take her back up to the room I was in and show her all the bugs on the bed……. I left the same night I got thereRooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Barbara Greco: I was surprised for the price of the hotel it was very clean & nice. Including the nice guy that checked us in.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More

Jenny Zaruba: I generally like Hamptons but this facility was fairly run down. The good: pretty quiet, decent staff, nice breakfast area. The bad: this place really needs a reno. Everything is old, outdated, and dirty. Lots of creaks, weird stains, and holes in the hallway ceilings. Most notably, the shower did not have hot water which is what drove me to write this review. Overpriced for the value given. Find another place to stay.
Dennis Douglas: Rooms are always clean, breakfast is good and services with a smileRooms: Clean and the beds are comfortable everything you need for a good stayFood & drinks: Breakfast is good and they have plenty of juices and coffee and etc.
Katie Berhent: Checked in to an untouched room- soda cans blankets towels on the floor. Only one elevator works but is a little sketchy. Ice machine broken on our floor, and they charge 5 bucks a night for parking.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 4/5 …More

Mandi Horning: Rooms were nice and clean, the shower pressure for being at a hotel was really good! All the workers were very nice. A very special shout out to Laura though, she was so friendly and helpful!Good breakfast in the morning as well. If there was any area that could be improved it would be the gym area.
Jeff Raymond: Showed up with confirmation number, and proof that I had paid for the room. They did not give me my room and forced me to do a bunch of digging around online. They also made me negotiate with the booking website. Unprofessional and a bunch of hassle. I do not recommend this hotel for business or any other type of travel.
Rahul Deshmukh: Broken place, rooms and surroundings are in a dilapidated condition. They don't even offer you water, if not diamond or gold member. Micro sized toiletries, not even sufficient for one person. Will not be staying here in the future.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Elsie Chappell: Breakfast was fine (I didn't know they could slide bacon so thin, but you can take as much as you want)
kim sarver: Our room was run down which is fine but way overpriced and extremely dirty. It was disgusting. There were other people's things left behind on the floor and they were there when we checked in. If the room was cleaned, these items would have been found. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. We would not even shower there.Rooms: Run down and dirty.
