Syd: I honestly love this place but I’m really disappointed with this visit. I sent my sister go get us some cups of pineapple soft serve and a few other things. To my surprise I get a call from my sister stating that someone is telling her that for over a year now they stopped selling cups of soft serve and it only comes in cones. My sister informs her that she was just here for a week ago and received it that way. The lady behind the counter proceeds to tell her something along the line of “that’s the rule, and I would know because I'm a manager”. Which seems a bit unnecessary and snarky to me. She proceeded to try and sell my sister a cone of soft serve that we have specifically stated we didn’t want because it would just be thrown away and she can’t walk with a cone and the the other items. There’s more but I won’t get into that on here. Like I stated I love this place. I have to stop myself from coming multiple times a week but after today I probably won’t be back for a while.

Amy DiGangi: We visited for the first time today on a whim and we were happy with the service, but underwhelmed with the products we purchased given the price. We tried three flavors of water ice (peach, blue raspberry and pineapple.) The peach was really the only one with any flavor, unfortunately. My husband also tried the pineapple soft serve, which he said was pretty close to Dole Whip (which is a good thing!) We would definitely give this place another try due to the good service (they had so many other snacks and treats for us to try out next time.)

Frank Rawetzki: This little shop on Woodward Avenue is the perfect example that excessive ice cream consumption CAN make this World a better place.Over the past weekend we visited the Detroit Water Ice Factory in downtown Detroit.The combination of ice, ice cream and flavorings were absolutely delicious, and we can only highly recommend this place.More importantly, however, is that this business is not for profit. All profits go to local charities that support our neediest fellow citizens.The supervisor, Jeremiah, was amazing, too. He was working by himself over the busiest shopping weekend of the year, assisting every customer with a smile and a kind word.Spending a little time inside a store, he told us about the store, the products and mission. Jeremiah is just a wonderful human being, and he makes all the water ice himself. Clearly, his attire alone should point to the fact that he’s alright right from the start.If you’re doing nothing else in Detroit, go and visit the Detroit Water Ice Factory! Enjoy a great treat and help people!

Nancy quinby: Really good water ice. Bordeaux Cherry had large chunks of real cherries mixed throughout. Lots of cherry flavor. I had it as a Motown Twist with vanilla, a very nice combination.
Christian: This was a first for me. I've never had Italian ice and so buying a nice big cup was fun! I had the orange creamsicle, blue raspberry and strawberry flavour. It was enjoyable. The texture was new for me but it was nice. Very sweet and the flavours we're pretty accurate. Also I really enjoyed the outside seating as well. 4 stars outta 5. Would definitely enjoy again.

So we stopped here for the strawberry lemonade Italian ice & watermelon Italian ice.I've been here plenty of times but it was my kiddo's first times. It was really cool to see how amazed at how delicious it was.We sat out front in their patio area and people watched. The patio area was clean. The staff was really nice.We had a great experience.

Aaron Amos: Didn’t have shakes when we visited. May have possibly had them, but from the energy and attitude of the woman helping us - didn’t seem as through she wanted our business. Had to go across the street to Royale with cheese, and the shake was bomb! So everything happens for a reason.

Yet, they each had a sweet creamy flavor.After visiting 3 times, I'm a fan of Treat Dreams and I would recommend anyone to try it!

They allowed me a sample taste of all 4 flavors and I settled on a coffee/cream & peppermint double scoop in a cone. It was positively divine! I don't know why we never tried this place before, but it is on my list for the next time we come to our wonderful downtown... And the time after that, and the time after that.... 😊

I finally saw someone making a mango fruit drink (mangonada I believe it was), and I order that and some ice cream.All in all I’m giving three stars because the fruit drink was flavorful and pretty good and I felt the prices were reasonable.However, consumer service is very poor.

Not the place for timid people, or potential victim types... but from what my friend said, the chicken was good.
