Joshua Ditton: I am very happy with my results! I am a heavy coffee drinker and chose the ‘advanced’ option, which is a longer session. We determined I went about 6 shades lighter. My smile looks much better!I will caution that my teeth hurt quite a bit for the rest of the day, but I’m fine this morning (day after service). I would consider a sensitive teeth toothpaste in the days leading up to your session and possibly some oral numbing gel for after. I was able to manage with some Tylenol and doing warm (not too warm!) saltwater rinses.Next time I may take Tylenol before the session too.Overall it was a great experience with great results and I would recommend. Just be ready to deal with a bit of discomfort for a few hours after!
Jacob Shepherd: When I was young I knocked my two bottom teeth out and they grew back with stains on them. I walked around for over 20 years with stains on my bottom teeth thinking that there was no way to remove the stains but thanks to advance smile I have a new smile 😀 there were times when I was ashamed to show my teeth but after so many years I got used to having stained teeth. Thanks to advanced smile I am no longer ashamed because the stains are gone 🙌🏾 I have a new smile 😃

They charged me for a toothbrush that I didn’t ask for and I still haven’t received this toothbrush that’s been paid for MONTHS AGO! I’ve called and left multiple messages and I haven’t received a call back or my toothbrush. The GHETTO strikes again smh. It’s sad how black ran businesses can’t function properly due to lack of professionalism NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN!!!!

Shaneka Chatman: I’ve never had this type of experience before at a dentist office. I was told 2 of my teeth has to get pulled. I was given X-rays and everything. I told them I have been having pain n sensitivity. They scheduled me 2 months from today just to get them pulled. The cleaning that I got was by far the worst cleaning I’ve ever gotten. The dentist was rude. He’s lucky god has been working on me or things could’ve went south. His assistant was very sweet though and so was the woman that cleaned my teeth. She just didn’t do a good job at all. I think I’m going to try to find somewhere else to go. I already had to wait 2 months to even get an appointment for today, when I told the staff it was an emergency and they was very rude by trying to rush me off the phone when I spoke to someone about coming in because it was an emergency. I Should’ve known not to trust a dentist office on gratiot in the middle of the hood. Smh, I think I’ll be going back to doctor golden.

Rachka Paola: I just left this place. The service does not even deserve a symbolic star, far below mediocre although the people seem nice. My mum and I were there for over 2h. She got an X-ray and I got a cleaning and nobody ever checked on any of us after that. We were supposed to both get exam, X-ray and cleaning. WE BOTH WAITED IN OUR ROOMS FOR OVER AN HOUR AND NOBODY CAME. When we decided to just leave, I saw the doctor at the front desk and told him what happened, and asked to at least have a print out of the results of the X-ray that my mum got. He refused to give it to us saying that he had to conduct the exam first, after the hygienist cleaned her teeth. I asked were we stood on the waitlist and he said he couldn’t tell but he’d recommend rescheduling an appointment for that. You know it’s bad when instead of trying to make things right they ask you to come back another day. I see they’re replying to some reviews, I’d dare them to give me an acceptable explanation.

Sharon Coleman: This location and the grand river location seems to be the worse. I arrived here for my clients first appointment at 1025am. I completed her paperwork and she was then told someone would be calling her shortly. After waiting close to 30-40 minutes i asked the receptionist how much longer, they say it’s one ahead of her. Now my question is how if she had a 1030 appointment and it’s well almost 12pm? So around 1150am she’s called to the back. At 1238pm she comes to let me know that she has only had he e rays done and it’s still one ahead of her for a cleaning. I don’t understand how we’ve been here since this morning and their just telling me their behind because the dentist just arrived at 12. Why schedule someone at 1030am if you knew there would be a wait. I’m deeply disappointed and will not be bringing my client back here.
Savannah Melcher: I have been coming here about a year. At my last appointment, a routine check-up, I was there for 3.5 hours and was never seen by the dentist. I had mentioned what I suspected to be a cavity, and they told me the doctor would see me shortly, but he never came by and they discharged me. They made an appointment for the following month to “have my front teeth filed down.” I never mentioned nor requested that. I arrived at the appointment this morning before any of the receptionists and was told the dentist is not in, and was scheduled out for another 6 weeks from now. I understand emergencies happen, but I’ve has this appointment 5 weeks and at this point need to seek a new dentist. I have no idea where these positive reviews are coming from. There is one younger male hygienist with long locs who is incredibly sweet and professional, but the rest of the staff is unprofessional and seems to not want to be there, including the dentist.

The earliest appointment is at 7:30am and when I say that they get you in and out, they do it super fast without making you feel rushed!!!! Great service!!! Angel Price: I went into Great Expressions today to get a temporary crown put on a tooth in the back of my mouth that I had a root canal on. The ladies that work the front were absolutely wonderful and so nice and helpful. The dentist on the other hand was very rude and unprofessional. As I stated the tooth that was being worked on is in the back of my mouth. I don’t have a very big mouth so as you could imagine, it was extremely uncomfortable and painful for me to have him doing this procedure. As he’s working on the tooth I start to cry because it felt like the corners of my mouth were being ripped open, which they were. The dentist stops and says “I can’t do this is you’re going to cry.” I tell him that it’s painful and that I can’t help that I’m crying. He tells me again that he’s not doing it if I’m going to cry and asked me what we’re going to do. I tell him to just do it. He starts again and again I start to cry so he stops again and he says that basically I’m either going to get comfortable with it or I’m going to have to go somewhere else. So I tell him I’ll take a referral to another dentist. He finishes what he was doing and walks out the room without saying a word. He may be uncomfortable with people crying but I was uncomfortable with his hand in my mouth ripping open the corners of my mouth. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a dentist. I will never go back to this Great Expressions location ever again and I don’t recommend anyone else does either. I have never felt so small for crying because I was in pain. I wasn’t making a scene or anything, tears were just rolling down my face. I don’t see what the big deal was. I was the one with the hand in my mouth.

Amirah Jackson: Reggie is the best!! He cleaned my teeth throughly and it was pain free. I can still eat breakfast because my gums are not on fire. I love this location. Shelby at the front desk is also great! The problem I have is I have been trying to get a crown out on for my implant for months. And the lab or whoever they send the impression to just can’t get it right. I have had several appointments some they canceled some I’ve went to but no success in fitting the crown. I’ve spent a lot of money and time with no results. I’m very disappointed and angry at this point.

After a short time, I was escorted back and was examined and consulted. The staff, Reggie the hygienist and the nurse, were friendly and informative. They all explained the procedures and what to expect. The doctor came in and professionally examined my teeth and talked with me about solutions. Jessica Shorter: Experience was not great. However, I did receive great customer service from the DentalHygienist - Reggie, who did a thorough cleaning of my teeth. As a new patient, Sajid Baqai the doctor did not entreat me and was very rude, I did not feel welcomed. He refused to go over my x -rays and he provided me information with no clarity and vague responses. He did a rushed service and looked only on the right side of my mouth for 30seconds and said “You’re all set”. I responded “Really”. So I was not interested for him to continue because of his unwillingness. He’s not a great representative for the Great Expression Corporation, he needs to be removed. For any new patient, I would not recommend him to anyone.

Huffy Brewster: I went in because I was experiencing tooth pain whenever I chew. The Dr came in and looked at X-rays of my teeth from 6 months ago, tapped on my teeth, and told me to use a medicated toothpaste and different mouthwash. I also questioned the black line on my back tooth(which I just had my cleaning a week prior) she said that was from a silver filling I had and I explained I’ve never had silver fillings before. Overall I’m still feeling the pain and it’s getting worst. I tried this dentist because of convenience, but overall I’m not pleased with my visits or service. It just seems like it’s rushed and my teeth aren’t cleaned to my preference.
