Walnut Hills Family Campground: what do users think?
Amy Given: I am upgrading my review because this is truly a beautiful location. This is a beautiful campground that is run down and does not have enough staff. They advertise self check in as in there is NO staff to help you check in. The young man Brandon that was at the "store" was nice but very clueless. Henry was helpful but had hurt his back. Robert was extremely helpful. My site is a pull forward. I'm still scratching my head on that concept. I pull in but if another RV parks in the shared space then I can't get my truck into my site to move my RV. They tell me Joe can move it for me but he was not there. My site had a picnic table in the middle of it. It had newly laid asphalt which my trucks tires left huge tracks in. Then my rear leveler was stuck in the asphalt. I just sobbed. At this point my experience here has been horrible. No bathroom at the office so travelers that have been driving all day have to wait until they get their RV set up. Or you can use the extremely gross out houses. It took 2.5 hours to level my RV that has auto leveling due to the very soft asphalt. So I got to try out the outhouse. They are making repairs to the park and I hope they hire more people. I highly recommend that you have staff to guide the campers to their site. The owner Matt lives in Colorado and is not on site. Very very disappointing. He didn't listen to me when we spoke on the phone because I told him that I needed a pull thru site. After I got there and found that this was not a real pull thru site I called Matt. He told me he would never have told me this was a pull thru site. However I remember verifying that this was a pull thru site with him. This campground is gated and if you have a big pick up truck to pull your RV you'll struggle to use the gate card from your truck. And you have to swipe to get in and out. Seriously swipe to get out? There is very little cell signal with Verizon there and for them to require you to use a cell phone to fill out forms is ridiculous. And I was told they couldn't get Internet at this remote area of Michigan. However, the office computer looked to be on the Internet. And there are houses and farms all around it so that just doesn't seem right to me.I am very very disappointed in this park. And I prepaid for 6 months. ☹️
David Jarrett: Great Family Oriented Campground!!!We've been camping here for years now, and each year it just gets better.Yes, it's an older campground, and that means that not everything is picture postcard perfect. But for simple family fun, we've never found a better campground to spend our time in over 5 DECADES of camping all across this beautiful country. We're so glad we found a perfect place for our family to make memories that will last a lifetime :-)
James Rin: Absolutely disgusting swimming area playground was okay and the arcade had little very little games and the swim plaything was extremely overpriced
Scott Bennett: Cute place. Family friendly
Amber Antolovich: First timers at Walnut hills this Laborday weekend. Definitley not the worst campground we've been to but not the best either...The positives:1.Good, large sized sites down in the front section with nice tree cover. (Some would say "huge" lol)2. Ample out houses for those without bathrooms or for emergency situations3. Wibit was pretty cool (though pretty expensive)4. Canoe/kayak rental company that will pick you up from the campground and take you up river. You end back at the campground where you started. It is quite an adventure and would highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.5. Beautiful sandy beach with nice beach loungers.6. Family activites, wagon rides, bingo, etc.7. New roads were layed this year. They are very nice. The bad...1. The swimming pond is not something I could bring myself to actually swim in. A minute standing in it waste deep was all I could muster before I had to get out. The kids didnt mind it but it may have been the grossest swimming I have seen yet. The bottom was very mucky and covered in silt, the water looked like a wierd blue-green dye. (Not as depicted in the photos, lol)2. The wibit was extreamly expensive for what it was. I could see charging day pass rates like that but campers should get a bit more than a $4 discount. My son got to go one day only. No one else in our party wanted to spend that much.(also, age 7+, my daughter was heartbroken)3. The playgrounds need some serious updating. This is a large park and we were excited to see multiple playground areas on the map but only one was a "playground" that didnt have much to offer and in poor condition. The others were just a regular swingset. I hear the current owners recently purchased the property so maybe they intend to upgrade this at some point.4. The electical seems like it could use updated. Our site was fine but a box by us was burning hot and kept flipping breakers. The camp staff plugged what was basically a house box fan into the same pole and pointed it at the hot pole... it was a bit sketchy as well. Didnt effect me directly but if one were to book site 131, be careful.5. The "fishing pond" is suuuuper small, as in, some ppl could cast their line clear over it. It was also very nasty looking. There were multiple dead fish on the shore. All in all, we had a good time. We were dissapointed in the playgrounds, the swimming pond and the fishing pond but all of our fellow campers were very nice. The river was great (clear water, sandy, lots of big fish!) The staff seemed nice. We enjoyed our stay and are glad we tried it but it probably wont be one we return to over and over again.
brent boedeker: I don't know about the camp grounds other than it looks nice and well kept. We went there to go kayaking through Chef's rentals. It's one of the best river's that I have been down.
Mark Pipa: Great nice campground easy access to kayak from
Michelle Woolsey: Such a great place for families! Very peaceful with lots of things for the kids to do. The staff is so friendly! I love that there is a great beach and lake, and also a canoe launch on the Shiawasse River!
Alex Shin: New owner needs to be at his campground to see how it's ran. Staff are never in the office, they keep closing it and going back to there camper with sign in the door, OUT To The Bathroom, be back shortly. If you need something you have to call.. I checked back for 2 hours 1 day. That is a long Bathroom break. Bathroom/showers are not cleaned daily. Outhouse are not cleaned just blow out with a leaf blower. Camp sites have trenches that need to be filled to prevent rolling ankles. Bunch of kids running this place. SATURDAY 8 20 22. THIS OFFICE SHOULD BE OPEN ALL DAY.
Becky Ellithorpe: It was tightly packed but we had alot of fun. The kids really enjoyed the wibit inflatable in the water to play on.
Angela Plummer: Excellent place. Lots to do.
Brittany Mathis: Run down and very little up keep. Everywhere you go people are complaining. The camp store is significantly over priced more than normal camp stores like 19.99 for a pair of dollar store goggles, and dollar store beach toys. Staff is trying hard but the girl at the desk is constantly on the phone and makes the staff wait. VERY EXPENSIVE nightly rates for not so good service. Also the Map says check out that to your gate code stops working at one o’clock
Debbie Thompson: We had a great time🙂the lot numbers need to be more better it was alittle confusing on finding or seeing the lot numbers....the store was ok need to be stocked with more stuff🙂
Becky Burnash: Regarding my recent stay, July20-25. This was my first visit to your campground. My family and I were very excited after looking at your website and seeing that this was going to be “beach party weekend”. By 1pm on Saturday there had been nothing resembling a beach party other than the overpriced witbit….By 2pm the dj was starting to set up and he was doing so right on the beach volleyball court, which was by the way the ONLY beach game that you had available the entire weekend (your website mentioned beach games). My kids enjoyed the witbit, however if it costs so much that you need to charge that much for families to use it then why bother? Large families go camping because that is something they can afford. They can’t afford $33 a piece for a kids toy in the water. This is really the only thing for the kids to enjoy. Unless you want to RENT a tube or a pedal bike by the hour. 😕Also, you must be 7 for the witbit and it closes at 630pm even on the weekends! Why??I sat at my campsite and had a wonderful smell of your horrific outhouses my whole visit as well. They are gross as is your ONE bathhouse for the entire campground. That is unacceptable.Friday afternoon our power was surging all day. Not sure what’s happening there but, maybe you need an upgraded circuit breaker? My husband wanted to join our kids on the witbit Saturday afternoon so he walked from the beach to the office in his swim trunks. He was told he needed a waiver, ok….”we have no paper waivers and you need a phone”He didn’t have his phone as he was on the beach and camping. Also, what about people that may not have phones? NO PAPER WAIVERS…?!He was forced to walk back to the campsite get his phone, walk back to the office sign the waiver, walk back to the campsite to put his phone back then go back to the witbit…which is only open until 630 so hurry!!Your ice at the store is melted! Turn the temperature down. You can afford to since you charge $4/bag.I was told Rachel was coming to my site. Haven’t seen her yet 🤷🏻‍♀️
sirena collins: We liked that we easily got in and off the river with our kayaks
trisha Long: Friendly campground. Lots of trees. Beach swimming, fishing, tubing on river. Volleyball, playgrounds, small arcade.Wished the campstore offered more but we love it here.
Amanda: My four year old absolutely loved fishing at the pond. He enjoyed riding his bike around the campground. Our favorite part is being able to get a campsite on the beach. Makes for a longer trip to the showers but worth it with small kids.

Myers Lake Camping and Cabins: what do users think?
Carrie Thompson: Myers Lake in Byron, MI is a picturesque and tranquil camping spot that I would definitely recommend to others. Located in a beautiful wooded area with easy access to the lake, this campground is perfect for nature lovers seeking some peace and quiet. The campsites themselves were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The surrounding trees offered plenty of shade and privacy, and the level ground made it easy to set up camp. There were also fire pits and picnic tables at each site, which added to the overall camping experience. The facilities at Myers Lake were top-notch. The restrooms and showers were always clean and well-stocked, and the water pressure was good. The lake itself was perfect for swimming and fishing, and there were plenty of walking and hiking trails nearby.Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Myers Lake and would definitely return in the future. If you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing camping spot in Michigan, Myers Lake is definitely worth checking out.
Crystal Corey: Great place to stay if you have kids. Staff is friendly and helpful
Chris Allen: Very nice smaller campground. Friendly staff and spacious sites
Stephanie Kruger: Literally fell in love with camping here last Memorial day, booked 3 more trips including Halloween.. came back for labor day with our large group and had the best weekend. Cornhole tournament, wonderful group site for our group of 6 at the end of the campground away from everyone else on the beach, close to home...went to rebook for this labor day and they turned a majority of the sites to seasonal sites and cannot accommodate large groups anymore. Was told that "weekend warriors" and large groups are too much work. Our entire group is so disappointed.Beautiful campground though, great beach. Lots of activities. Halloween weekend was great too, haunted house, hayrides, etc. Sad to not get to go back again.
Jeanette Stefanski: Very nice campground. Restrooms and laundry facilities very clean. Quiet. We were here in July, enjoyed so much came back for fall camping.Scary Barn was good fun!
K Marie: I wanted so badly to love it. Friendly people great location. I would suggest doubling the size of the sites. It was shocking to me how close you are to your neighbors, I've not seen anything like it before. I would've gladly paid a bit more for a larger site.
Bob O: Loved it here. A very picturesque spot. Prior to opening this year they did all new electric water and sewer runs. Play areas for the kids nice dog run, swimming raft. The new owners are very friendly also. I'll definitely be back.
Patrica Lasley: Nice campground. All sites have updated services.
Adam Leinenger: Great camping weekend
Mary Fair Jones: I have visited this plant campground probably since I was 14 years old with my husband and family and also with our Methodist church group and family
Thomas Plewka: Very nice family campground 👍
Karen Anderson: A nice quiet place to unwind. The park featured a small store a little lake and a ton of pride in the whole campground. Full hookup was very convenient.
Kerry Keuvelaar: Clean campground.
F P: First and foremost a big thank you to the new owners Steve and Cindy! You have done an incredible job with saveing this park. After years of the park being run down by the church not is now back to the great place it used to be. Tho we were all happy to see the church selling after years of neglect we were worried it would become a subdivision. The updates are amazing. Steven, Cindy have truly brought the campground into a modern camping experience. The updates are many from the beautiful revitalization of the old barn to the additional camping spaces to what was long long overdue with an upgrade to the electrical service and now even full hookup. They have set the place up for complete success. They're humble and open to ideas and suggestions. For their first year back at it, they are doing a fantastic job. We look forward to many years back at the park and many new memories to come. Thank you again, Steven &Cindy You have truly saved a fantastic place. Great family camping. Clean safe and laid back. Amazing staff! My family has camped here for almost 50 years. Family reunion is getting close to it 75 year at the campground.Playground: Monkey bars swings, old fashioned bikes, a fun boat, basketball court, horseshoes and lots more to keep you entertainedRestrooms: The restrooms are clean, modern and up to date. Fantastic shower facilities for a campground.Dog-friendliness: The installation of a new dog park area is a great addition. Though dogs are welcome on your site, they are kept on a leash at all times, which is very understandable. The addition of the park allows for some freedom for your dog. While it's on vacation with you too.Picnic area: There's a pavilion that can be rented. Please call the campground for more information on this.
Valerie Miller: What a beautiful place.
Martha Lanning: Best place to camp ever, really enjoyed myself there, they have lots of extras other places don't.
Jackie Bogovican: My husband and I along with our dog just got back from spending a long weekend at this campground. We're new to the whole camping thing since recently purchasing a TT. This was our first visit to a family owned campground and WE LOVED IT. The property is beautiful, our neighbors we're great people and the entire campground is so quiet & peaceful. The food truck on Friday was great, especially after a long day of packing up, traveling and unpacking/setting everything up. I think our dog also found this campground to be her favorite as well. Lots of smells & she really enjoyed the fenced in dog area-plus all the squirrels & chipmunks. We can't wait to visit again!
Chris Miller: Love this place very clean very quiet would recommend it for a relaxing weekend
Kristi V: Second my roommates there dog and my fiance were attacked by bees. The third day my roommates and there dog were made to leave.
Eyes On: We've been bringing our family to this campgrounds for 38 years. Our children enjoyed their camping experience every time we came. We now bring our grandchildren to this park and they love it just as much as we do. It is a safe, clean, and friendly environment for children to play in. Love the Safety and Security of the fenced-in campgrounds. Lots of activities for the kids to engage themselves in at the game barn, the playground and on the beach. The park is well-maintained and the restrooms are always clean. Benefits for tent campers include the three-compartment sink in the laundry room where you can do your dishes. Love the fact that there's an on-site laundry as well. Staff is friendly and welcoming and always willing to help you out when you need it. I would recommend this for any family or group that likes to camp. The park is now under new ownership with updated site with full hookups, and more lakefront lots. New Staff is wonderful.

Covenant Hills Camp & Retreat: what do users think?
Samantha Filek: they associate themselves with midcourse correction, therefore I give them the lowest amount of stars.
Leigh Damaske: What a great place for a retreat. Clean, comfortable, and a great atmosphere.
Katherine Cole: Cabins could use some updates. Better lighting throughout campground
Kristamarie Koopman: Halloween weekends are awesome. Finally get trick or treaters.
Sammy Coleman: Absolutely beautiful place. Very Best Campground for a wonderful Women's retreat.
Ray Markey: The facility is beautiful, the people are great. Lots to do and see. The hiking trails were maintained pretty well. I was a little bummed the coolest things to do ( rock wall, high adventure course, blob jump, zip lines, boat rentals ) all had very limited times they were made available throughout the weekend. I get it, staffing sucks right now, but man this place could be something really special if it was fully staffed.
Tracy Harris: Playground: Playground equipment is maitaned nothing broken for the little tots to get hurt on, play ground is clean , no bottles or garbage laying around
Liz Solanki: The retreat center was great (although was raining that weekend)! There's plenty of space to walk, have fellowship. The cabins were very clean and spacious. There are plenty of spots for bonfires as well! The only reason I dropped a star is because I came across a little racism from a lady who DIDN'T work there - It's just that she was permitted in a place where the message of Christ should be the focus. She was in the Cove, with her dog. I went in by myself to get a few scoops of ice cream for my triplets. She was sitting right by the door; her dog snarled and barked soon as I walked in. I was like "Oh my gosh, and laughed" hoping she would laugh and say it's fine. Instead she had a very rude expression, held her dog back a little and said "You may proceed." Then while I was being served by the very sweet girl at the counter, she sent a girl who could've been her grand daughter to get a cup. She interrupted the girl at the counter while she was serving me. But the girl was kind enough to say that she will give the cup once she was done serving the customer. And the same thing, on my way out, the dog started snarling and barking and she barely held it back; and again "You may proceed." I practically ran outta there. LOL. But yeah that definitely hurt. Just wanted to have a nice relaxing time with my family and church. I'm sure there are others who came across this same lady and her dog, since we're an Indian church.
Bethany Lukins: Loved our weekend here
Bill Helm: Great family environment
Dann Vessell: A nice place to get to know your church family and camping.
Shawn Hanselman: Our child enjoyed a week of band camp. They took great care of all the children. Also they fed them very generously!!
Andrew Alkire: Fun campground with a lot of activities.
Justin Marketti: We have been coming here for the last 8 years and it seems like it's going downhill now bathrooms are dirty nothing in their Camp store for sale they took half the stuff out and now they are letting the run down trailers in with junk all around.
Lisa R: First of all, you have to drive half a mile down a gravel road and your entire vehicle(s) and the clean engine bays get all coated, then the entire park is gravel road, makes a lot of work to get your vehicle back to the state it was in before that half a mile! It's not worth the $20 from Passport America. You're crammed in like sardines and the spots are so close, watch out for campfires, the ashes will burn your car or RV! The only positive was that my son was able to play with kids and make a good friend.
Rhonda Allor: Great place to camp for sure😎🙂😁!
Detroit_ii Det: Super upset. Second time here and we enjoy snorkeling. Was told the first time that it is fine to snorkel anywhere so we did. Today my wife was snorkeling and a staff worker yelled from about 50-75 feet away that she can’t snorkel. No where in the rules is there anything about where you can and where you can’t snorkel. Never again will we return here.
Don King: I like every much I to come out again
RF D: We reserved a site for a three month stay. We where placed in a seasonal site and charged the seasonal rate with the verbal understanding that this was less expensive and a refund would be given when we check out, we had to leave earlier than expected and only stayed one month. We where told at that time no refund was going to be issued as verbally promised. VERY UNCHRISTIAN thing to do to customers.
Debbie Parker: Beautiful place. Great friendly staff.
Sandra Christensen: Reasonable camping. Great staff. Clean, level sites, lake, easy access

Clear Water Campgrounds: what do users think?
Drew: Very nice and clean! Fun for our family. Hard to book spots though!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Chris Ponke: This place has some charm but get your visit payment in a clear record some how. I was staying for over 30 days and was supposed to be at one rate. And then it changed and I had to pay for a additional rate. Petting farm was fun. Water is a good size for kayaking.
romont bowman: Beautiful place..
Todd Rzeszut: Cool place. Would go back.
Tracy tabeth96@yahoo.com: What a fun family campground. A nice lake to swim in. They have donkeys, chickens, Scottish Cow, goats and peacocks The restrooms were super clean! We had such an amazing time! Did up know we saw big foot!! 🤣
Mike Hauxwell: Nice place, recommend for fun camping
Cheater Engines: Very nice place. Affordable and they take pride in there establishment.. entertainment is provided!
Jen Ann: Poor customer care. DO NOT RESERVE HERE! Nowhere on the website does it state any cancellation policy. I reserved a cabin back in January. They asked for a deposit 1st month's rent of $200 to be sent in April, which I did. Our stay was supposed to be a weekend middle of August. We ended up having to cancel on July 1 because our dog had to have surgery. I called spoke to Carolyn. She asked how much my deposit was and that she would pass it on to the book keeper. Never received our deposit. After 2 other calls and several emails received a check for only $100 and a note dating that's all her partner would allow for refund. I called they were very rude told me they would not give me anymore of my deposit and that was more than they've ever given. I understand if it was a camping lot which is much cheaper, but $100 is a rip off. I gave plenty of notice for them to rent out the cabin. It's only of 2 cabins. After telling her that the website nowhere says any cancellation policy she stated we will work on that this winter. Which doesn't change the fact that it didn't state that prior to my cancellation. Will never book here again and would Not recommend anyone book here unless thay know for sure they will not have any life changes before they stay!
robin besler: Call to make a reservation to tent camp with electric they will NOT let you camp with tent on a water/electric site. Wow how things change!!!! Will never bring my trailer here again either!!!
Terry Barnes: This place was better than fantastic! Clean, Beautiful and pristine. Walking trails to a lake with canoe and paddle boat rentals. Plenty of things for kids and adults. Will definitely visit again!
N Mh: Friendly helpful staff. Nice bathroom and site was great.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Kevin Reinhout: Great place to fish, swim , relax by a fire or go for a hike. Will be back!
vivian taylor: We found the campground clean, peaceful, quiet, nice lake and the owners were very friendly. Definitely a place we will return to again.
Tori Gianino: Stayed for a month. Location was great to commute to work. Sometimes the staff is very friendly and at other times they seemed to not want to be bothered. We were at the front of the park and had people behind that were living there so their space was just a mess. My lot wasn’t cut but once the whole time we were there so we had our son bring up the weed whacker to tidy up our spot. We thought about going back in August and trying to get a bit further back, but decided against it when we were told our spot isn’t guaranteed. Apparently, if you make a reservation for a certain site and they get a group of people who want to be together, they will move you. No thanks! So, 3-stars due to location and sometimes friendly staff, bu we probably won’t be back.
Sharyl C: Have to be careful. They stated that started booking reservations on January 1 so I book my site through email which they requested, which I still have. They replied back confirming my reservation and the site that I requested, and when I got there it was a different site that I either couldn't have my slide out or my awning out. So just be careful
Amy Shelton: Fun, cozy and plenty of stuff for the kids to do
Laura Span: 2 nights In big cabin. Very cute and roomy. Slept all 8 of us no problem. They really need a bigger refrigerator for those that do bring 8 people to accommodate food storage, for it is only hotel size and didn't keep food at safe storage temp. Also popsicles melted in the freezer compartment. Best kept in coolers with lots of ice.

Wolverine Campground: what do users think?
Jackie Oliveri: Great campground. Quiet peaceful and near the water!
Janna Smith: Quiet. That just says it all.
Charles Keeley: Alot of changes to place nice
Andrew Argue: Been camping here for years but this time was very disappointed the grass was very high there was cars on the road during the trick or treating time where the road was closed supposed to be closed during the time
James Matchett: We haven't been there for over 20 years and what a difference! The staff was awesome and the entire camp ground was immaculate. We hiked, went to the beach as well as went kayaking. What a wonderful mini vacation! Can't wait for next year!
S F: Facilities are good and well cared for, your experience will vary based on who is camping by you.
Becky Allen: We love wolverine campground.
Ted Piotrowski: Good country park. Staff was very friendly.Lots are tight, fishing & kid friendly.
Sandy La mar: We've stayed here quite a lot, always a good time . They need new shower heads in the shower rooms though
Teri Henderson: Had a great time. Camping or just swimming at the beach. Clean bathrooms.
Kaeli Jarrad: perfect place to camp for a cheap price and nice beach. The shower houses sucked or I'd say it's amazingPlayground: Kids love the play groundRestrooms: Not extremely clean water pressure sucks really bad in the shower houseDog-friendliness: Our dog loved it their she wouldn't stop digging holes
Missa Schultz: Very Quiet. Lots of empty lots around. Had a bonfire with family. It was nice and peaceful.
Mike L: Tried to enjoy a campfire but the stink from pot smokers ruined it
Jared Whetstone: Just the coolest little park there is. Lots to do in the surrounding area. The park itself has access to lake and Beach. The restrooms and showers need an update but overall the campsites are clean and wooded areas they have camper hookups for electric and water. And they have the old tent sites rustic as you can get. They have a little store a little shop where you can get ice and firewood and little things here and there but overall just a great campground.
Showme Thewit: Nice area. Was a bit sad the the beach was closed before 830 pm. Campground seemed very well maintained, no trash laying around. Loved the welcoming committee. ( See photos)
Chris Templeton: Awesome place to take your family for a vacation

Auburn Hills / Holly KOA: what do users think?
Brandon Rosebrugh: Amazing place to work at. They are friendly to their staff members. Would recommend coming here.
Brendan Pesola: Not recommended, very dirty and overall just not a nice campground.
Jerry Bracy: This campground is awesome! To begin the staff is amazing! They go above and beyond to make sure your vacation is perfect! The giant bouncing pillow is great for the kids! The negative reviews about the grounds being unkept is ridiculous. They can’t do anything about the weather and the grounds being muddy or wet. It’s called camping for a reason. I would highly recommend this campground!!
Allen C.: Had a family emergency and had to cancel my monthly reservation. After 2 days of my reservation starting, i had a family emergency and had to cancel. I paid $775 for the month. Expecting to only lose 20%, I was surprised they only refund me $275. After getting no where with Lacey on what should be a refund of $620. I can only email her for complaints too.THEY ARE NO LONGER ASSOCIATED WITH K.O.A. she stated.Disappointed and feel like I was taken advantage of!!!
Susan Franz: I feel it is too expensive for full hook-up, and there are no weekly deals, only monthly. The sites are nice size, just too much $$.
Gail McCreight: Fair campground. Sites aren't well marked, no gravel at sites or on roads. Sites are very unlevel. The interstate noise is consistent which can't be helped. The campground owners could do a lot more to improve the grounds and clean up the beer cans sitting around.Playground: The playground was one of the better features of the campground. The miniature golf was very cramped.
SCORPIO PRIDE: It's a beautiful campgrounds in the woods, cabin's are so adorable and plenty to do for a family and kid's..
Jen Reis: I was nervous about staying here after reading some of the older reviews. It seems to me that improvements are being made. Our site had fire ring, picnic table, and was dry. There was a Halloween costume contest for the kids and a spooky hayride, which they loved. The playground and jumping pillow were nice too. The skatepark needs some minor repairs. We went with several other families and all had a great time. The showers were clean. Our site was a little tricky to pull into. All hook-ups worked and the cell service was good. All in all a great, close-by campground to get away. Don't be afraid of the bad reviews. This is a decent campground.
Kelly McDevitt: Great place to stay with family!
mike agee: Staff was awesome! We had the whole corner of the campground to ourselves!
Sharon Chapman: We love staying at KOAs and we've stayed at some really nice ones and some not so great ones and many in between. This one, for the price we were paying($70-80 a night), fell short of what we expected. Pros: Nice pool area, office and camp store, which also has ice cream and pizza, and with a nice patio area. Several nice playgrounds and outdoor activities. If those are important to you, you will be happy. Cons: Internet is limited to 30 minutes Many unlevel sites, most grass or some gravel, muddy sites when wet, no sewer hookups for most sites, bathrooms and laundry rooms were filthy our entire stay, laundry machines did not work well and need updating, dumpsters were overflowing, FULL payment required at reservation (not check-in like other KOAs). Oh, and they bribe you with free ice cream to leave a five star review. 🙄We only stayed here as it was close to family and friends and no other campground had space for our entire stay. Would not stay again.
Mariah Cornell: They charged me $150 cleaning fee stating there was garbage thrown all over and fecal matter smeared all over the cabin floors, bathroom walls and beds. I brought my own cleaning supplies and had to clean the cabin before we ever put our belongings in there and kept it tidy every day we spent there, and spent 45 mins cleaning it top to bottom after removing our belongings before we checked out. Absolutely absurd!!! There is literally no possible way any of that is true! I asked a friend that stayed in another cabin if they also charged them and they did for a broken tv they legit never used because they only had one outlet for the fridge and to charge their cellphones on. They never even plugged the tv in!! Apparently this place is just out for a scam and to get a quick $ . We will never return and a dispute on both of our ends are being done through our bank! They are clearly going under with over half of their attractions closed down, rude staff their cabins that are falling apart!
David Owens: We had a great Labor Day weekend at this KOA! I waited until we were too close to the holiday weekend, and this KOA happened to have some openings left! It was super convenient getting to the campground, as its right off of I-75. All of the staff there are awesome! I'm glad they have a great camp store, as I needed a part for my trailer and they had it. The sites are a little close together, but they were nice and clean. I loved having a pull through spot! The only thing that bugged me was that the dump stations were a little high up compared to my trailer, but that wasn't a huge deal. I will be adding this campground to the list of my local getaways to visit again!
Petunia N: Camping here is fun but definitely not a place for kids. More like a music festival campground without the festival part.People have music and lights going all night, which is great if you're into that sort of thing. There's disco lights that illuminate the trees that stay on all night, giving it a very party-like vibe. People are super friendly and welcoming. It's awesome that people are allowed to let their pets free roam! There were a couple friendly dogs running around and it's so nice to see cats out enjoying nature :) Downside is they use the fire pits as litter boxes, so definitely can't cook anything over those. One caught a baby raccoon right in front of a kid though, the kid didn't seem to appreciate it :/ Definitely not a place to see birds or other small animals though, cats make sure if that. It's really helpful that they do trash pickup, everyone just puts there trash by the road. It sucks when they don't pick it up quickly because then there's just bags and bags of trash lining the road for a day or two. But fortunately the cats keep the racoon and opossum population down so the bags don't get ripped up.Took away two stars because the WiFi never works and the showers are usually backed up with gross shower water.
This Hallowed Home Sasha Doll: Was so much fun. Love renFaire. Always an amazing time

DJ Knapp: Very nice, clean and friendly park. A great indoor pool and kids playground. Our premium site in the newer section was level with good water, sewer and 50A power. I was a bit disappointed, however as for a premium price, we had NO cable or wifi in our section….
Crystal Blevins: Great place to getaway for everyone of all agesRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value …More
Melissa Darby: This is such a great place to stay. There is so much to do for the kids n adults. Frankenmuth has alot to offer on its own. People n services where awesome.Nearby activities: Splashvillage is across the streetSafety: They have speed limits set to 5 miles hr n no bikes after 9pm.Walkability: U can walk to anything in town, n everything in the park is walkable to.Food & drinks: U can walk to many near by restaurants, like zenhders chicken dinners, or slow bones BBQ.Playground: Lots of fun for the kids, playset, gaga ball, and basketball court, out door pool, bikes, in door pool n hot tub.Restrooms: Vary clean, n warm, but only bad is shower heads suck n making the water presser so hard to even rinse under.Dog-friendliness: Everyone has dogs. But as long as everyone leashes, picks up after them. We had no issues at all.
My adventure vids: Just there for a visit nice clean place... Also pretty much all family friendly kids pets adults that act like kids the whole 9 yards nice pool and staff.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Sandra Dregiewicz: Loved it
alts RULE 2: Love everything at this campground. I have been here 3 times last year, they have fun activities and tons of other stuff.Playground: They have a few stuff at the playground, a sandbox, a tire swing, and a few playsets. Also a basketball court nearby.Restrooms: They have good restrooms, except the game room being up front of the bathroom.
Eric Knisley: Jellystone Frankenmuth. Sites are really small and are very expensive for what you get. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I will not be returning to this place. I won’t even go to another Jellystone. Can barely enjoy your site. You are right on top of your neighbors.
John Curd: A fun family owned RV park that is sparking clean and caters to children and the child in all of us. The staff is friendly, efficient, and helpful.
Joseph Pearce: We love the culture and amenities at this park. Being Halloween many folks have decked their RVs out to the 9s and it’s only early October. Our child loved the indoor pool, playground, bounce castle, bounce pad, and tractor. This park was close enough for us to walk to downtown or the insane Christmas store. The spots were a good size. The water and power hookup was a little awkward but we didn’t have any neighbors so it wasn’t a big deal. The staff is rather pleasant and helpful. The spots were somewhat small but that is outweighed by the other positives.
S Drez: Great environment with friendly staff!! Went for a Halloween weekend and the kids said it was their favorite camping trip this year!! Lots of activities for the kids!
