Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center: what do users think?
Dwayne Frankenstein (BgDgg): Everyone at sharp funeral home was outstanding and kind to the sparks family. They even took pictures of the military funeral for us and sent them to us. Jennifer is also outstanding as she has continued to help our family post funeral. If I could give more stars I would. Thank you to everyone at sharp funeral home Fenton rd.
Richard Wassmuth: My experience with Mike Scully and Sharp Funeral Home was outstanding. With a sudden hospital death in the family and no immediate family in the area, he handled everything for us from a single phone call. He and Sharp FH are professional, courteous and responsive. I highly recommend them.
Candice Mulholland: My father passed 5.13.16- I never realized how easy Sharpe’s made everything. Pre-planning, ( Sheryl was very instrumental in the complete process) obituary notices, 3 newspapers and TV ( plus keepsakes of laminated Obituary). Not only posting of obituary, but, actually helped me and my sister-in-law write. The day of funeral was very smooth. They helped arrange all arrangements at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Helpful down to memory cards and thank you notes. Realizing, how wonderful everyone helped the process now that my II had passed. Wish I could say everything for my mom was as smooth. We no longer lived in area so pre-planning and final destination was planned elsewhere..Thank you Sheryl and Sharpe’s for a very stress free final destination for my Father-James J Lyons.Loving Daughter
Tess Rider: There were tons and tons of technical issues with the TVs and sound system. Absolutely none of their technology worked properly. They also messed up the burial processional, and had to circle back around, which was awkward and disappointing. Was not kid friendly at all. They made it seem like having kids at the viewing was an annoyance.I caught one of the workers being extremely rude to my 4 year old, and when she realized I was behind her, she tried to cover it up by saying how cute she thought she was. I saw the same worker mocking someone behind their back. There was a marked difference between the staff from one day to the next, because the next day everyone was very kind. Will not be using or recommending the Fenton Rd location ever again.
Kimberly Cole: I am eternally grateful for Stephanie and the staff at Sharp’s Funeral Home during an incomprehensible time.Stephanie led me through the process with a level of compassion, support, love, prayer; overall service excellence.I am eternally grateful to God for Stephanie and Sharp’s Funeral Home, I could not navigate this process so beautifully without her level of support, compassion, prayer and love during this tragic time.Stephanie is a beautiful blessing and I will forever hold her and her team in my prayers. When one is faced with making a decision to find assistance during a crisis, I highly recommend Sharp’s Funeral Home, exceptional care for you and your family.
Gerald Brannam: They took care of both my parents and did a very nice job. They are very nice and understanding . I would definitely recommend them .
Tiffany's xzmjksksmñ. Power Ranger Cavaness: This place is what you hope for when u lose a loved one . They made the process the best it could be given the situation . The staff was so nice. The man that helped me thru the service was the sweetest .. Always asking if i needed anything .. Making sure everything was Perfect . You really cant ask for better people. They made everything so personal even when i thought i was being picky they understood and made it happen . Jennifer Sharp i dont know how to thank you enough for your patiece and kindness . Your father should be so proud of who u are and how u represent Sharp funeral home .. Ur Amazing !!. I will never go to another funeral home. Theres just no way i could have been treated better anywhere else. Thanks again for everything and for simply being you .Love , Tiffany Cavaness
Annie Heiden: A giant thank you to Steve and everyone involved in the funeral of our mother. You gave much comfort to this emotional time for us. Your professionalism, caring and certainty in helping us complete this leg of our mother’s journey provided us with confidence in knowing details were completed without any worry from us.You all are greatly appreciated.Kindly,Ann Heiden
Donald Palacios: Way TO High Priced For What You Get.Also Was Rushed through process.3 stars it could be worse!!!
Kevin: Very nice
bill davis: When our mom passed unexpectedly we were surprised to find the cemetery plot she paid for wanted several hundreds more to put her there we were devastated. Sharp had already quoted us a price for their part but this staff went above that and found a plot and buried my mom in a beautiful spot for the same price. His bless you to the staff and the help you gave us in our grief. Its been a few years and the thanks yius are late coming but it took time to think of that time.. Thank you so much...

Dodds-Dumanois Funeral Home & Cremation Center: what do users think?
Sandra Patton: Dodds-Dunamis Funeral I love Melissa , Wayne and the entire saffI'm so glad the Lord dircted me to them when I lost my mother and father. They treated me and my family as if they've known us beforehand. They provided expertise preparation and made arrangements an ease. I highly recommend this place. In my eyes you couldn't get better services. So glad I chose Dodds.
Ray Grace: So very kind and professional!
Carmen Batzloff: Melissa was amazing and the gentleman that came to the home to pick up my husband were absolutely the most kind, polite and professional people. Kudos to you all for making the most devastating experience of my life a little bit easier to endure.
Stacey Davis: Melissa and staff my family would like to thank you for your professionalism and all your kindness during this difficult time, such a blessing.
Richard Vyse: Great professional staff in one of Flint's most grand funeral home.
Ms. CD Joslyn: Melissa is the definition of kind and caring. Such a lovely lady. She made an extraordinary difference in the grief process and helping me go on. A wonderful person with a heart of gold.
diana howlett: You have made it so easy for my family thank you .so much
Madison: Very kind people.
pamala cronk: Huge shout out to Wayne. Not only is he engaging, funny, professional, but he is so compassionate and truly made my family feel as,if we were the only ones in the whole world while he took care of us.He drove the limo and he could see that some of the grandchildrenwere struggling, so he purposely hung with them, told them jokes, got their mind of stuff, and had them laughing! What a blessing an asset he is to this wonderful estaishment. The building is old and absolutelystunning in decor while the old architecture remains preserved. This funeral home will make you feel as if you are the only family they serve while you are in their care. They are respectful, sweet, answer any questions, provide friendship, and extremely thoughtful and compassionate. The funeral Director, Melissa Butts has a wealth of knowledge and is very helpful. She thought of things my family had not considered. She is always prepared and will offer you the BEST PRICE for you and your family.Shop around...you will see...no hidden fees and "extras" to pad your bill. This funeral home we have used a few times and will continue. Its professional, makes you feel at ease, comfortable, and beautiful inside.Wayne is a wonderful bonus to this funeral home!! My family loves him.
Tarisha Young: Dodds-Dumanois offered incredible services to my family this past spring for my sister Tina's passing. Melissa the funeral director and all the members of her staff were absolutely a blessing during such a difficult time for myself, siblings and parents. From the initial phone call, to face-to-face meetings, up until the very end of the process; the kindness and thoroughness of these individuals was above and beyond. In addition to the people, the location is gorgeous; an enormous Victorian era building on a quiet street. Add into the equation that they are one of the most reasonably priced in all of Genesee County. Thank you Melissa and staff, keep up the excellence.
Teri C.: Dodds-Dumanois is a beautiful funeral home with victorian decor as well as being the oldest funeral home in Genesee County. The funeral director, Melissa Butts, along with the rest of the staff are very honest and caring individuals. My family has had several funerals through them throughout the years and I would highly recommend them.

Swartz Funeral Home: what do users think?
Ashley King: I honestly cannot say one bad thing about the people who took care of my grandmother Helen Rossetter and our family. So compassionate, caring and above and beyond. My grandmother looked exactly like she did, her make up and hair was exactly how I expected it. The ceremony was beautiful and witty. Thank you Swartz. ❤️
Randy .Cronover: My father in Traverse City had been in failing health since the beginning of this year and sadly passed two weeks ago. My 2Sisters and myself contacted Swartz Funeral Home to make arrangements for his service. As we had preplanned, they immediately transported his body and had everything in place within a few days. My family was extremely grateful that owner/director, Rick Lamb, personally oversaw the service. The care, compassion and cooperation that he and his staff demonstrated to our family and friends was impeccable. Thank you Rick for going above and beyond our expectations.
Mark Wallen: Staff is very wonderful
George G: November 27th, 2021 My Mom Sarah , me and my siblings received the terrible news my Dad George , passed away at the age 56. We reached out to Swartz Funeral Home for help with the arrangements etc. Steve, Cody, and the staff were phenomenal. They treated us with sincere sympathy and were very understanding. Steve was absolutely amazing. He's very polite, understanding, caring, and overall an amazing guy to work with. Thank you so much to all of the staff at Swartz for your help. We greatly appreciate everything you've done for us and for being so very helpful and understanding during this unfortunate time.
Zachary Robinett: Thank you so much to the staff at Swartz funeral home, I remember when my grandmother passed we held her service here and they really helped my mom out with everything, money was tight and they still made it happen for my grandma to have a beautiful service. But what brings me here to state my opinion is that, my mother just passed unexpectedly so naturally me and my brother came here first and it was absolutely THEE right decision, everything happened so unexpected and we had minimal planning for this, they worked with us to make sure me and my brother could take good care of my mother one last time. I can’t express enough how grateful we are for the people here and how much they helped us today.
Tammie Malin: We have used this funeral home since 1994, they have always been very accommodating and considerate to all of our families needs, this is the only place I trust with my loved ones
Albert Welch: Took incredibly good care of my family after my father's passing. Their staff came to collect him from hospice at our home and were very professional and caring. Their staff helped us write a lovely obituary for their website, and gave us an opportunity to see Dad again before he was cremated.
Dennis Pillow: The most beautiful funeral home I've ever been too, the Lamb family are so caring, The staff always is so polite and helpful, thank you,
Derek Jackson: Very nice service, clean facilities, good decor.
Annette Mayner: Just went to a funeral on January 3rd 2019 ... I have been to many funeral viewings here ... my own family was here ... I didn't notice the attention to detail that was with my family ... The premises were clean ... They need more chair in the family refreshment lounge ... Not everyone could sit to have a bite to eat or drink. .. Just didn't have the same feel ... my last family member was in 2013 and they were ultra good then
Bruce Sprague: We were very pleased with the planning and coordinating my dad's funeral. Brian was Amazing. Kimberly was very helpful and knowledgeable. She guided us through everything we needed. Would highly recommend Swartz Funeral Home. They literally took care of every detail before, during and after the funeral.
Matthew Taylor: Continued from Mark Taylor's ReviewFrom the placement of the flower arrangements prior to the start of the visitation and continuing with the placement of memorial gifts that arrived during the visitation, the room was open to walk through with chairs being placed in a manner that allowed interaction between family and friends. Our family’s privacy was respected by Codie and the staff always, especially during the visitation and if required the visits into the visitation room were quick, focused and direct. We especially give special thanks to those personal who worked with Susan in preparation of the body for the incredible work they did to make our loved one look as we remembered her to look throughout her life. We recognize this was a difficult and challenging task and the persons responsible for taking on this task did an outstanding job and from our hearts we give great thanks for being able to put some more difficult mental images of Susan deeper in our memories by bringing us a memory of how Susan looked during the great majority of her lifetime.Again, we as a family were very pleased with Codie and the Personal at Swartz Funeral Home on Hill Road and recommend them highly. We would definitely work with these individuals again, who made a very difficult time so much easier for us and allowed us very warm and pleasing memories of the celebration of Susan’s life.
Blueturk: Swartz Funeral Home on Hill Road is a very beautiful home with historic features integrated into a very modern, spacious and ADA accessible building with all the areas we as a family used being serviced by an easily accessable stairway or elevator. The room used to plan the service was roomy yet comfortable and was placed to provide privacy for the family. The bathrooms are clean and accommodating especially for those who live with physical limitations. The lounge area is large enough to move around in with room for each family present to share space while displaying any food and drink brought to share during visitation. An adjoining room has comfortable tables and padded dining chairs in which to spend time while having a snack or drink.Five stars to Swartz Funeral Home and especially for our Funeral Director, Codie, from initiation to conclusion of the service for Susan Gipson. Codie took considerable time and expended great effort to help us create a memorial service that we were very happy with. Codie, worked with us (Husband to Susan, my wife and myself) for close to three hours to make the hard and necessary decisions for the memorial service in Swartz Funeral Home and in the Chapel area of the Mausoleum at Crestwood Cemetery. Working within a strictly defined budget, Codie, helped us with planning the day, time and size of the room for the visitation. Codie was kind, patient and compassionate throughout the selection of the casket, vault, memorial marker, death notice and all the other accompanying paper work and decisions and selections needed in planning the funeral. Codie’s diligent work to provide us the best experience possible in the memorial service for our loved one started with our first meeting and introductions and followed through to the end of the service. Although being extremely busy during our planning of the service and during the service itself, Codie always asked if we needed anything and if all was going as best as possible for us. All the requests that I am aware of were taken care of by Codie and all the personal at the funeral home with quick personal service and without any sense of being bothered or annoyed. All Personal encountered were quick to fulfill requests and did so without making us feel hesitant to ask. The caring and superior service Codie and all Personal at Swartz Funeral Home provided us allowed us to feel personally respected and cared for.From the large details to smallest details ie., a picture for the obituary notice, which we eventually downloaded from my wife’s phone to the Swartz Funeral Home web site with some difficulty, was accomplished by Codie working diligently through the glitches to make this happen, a small however very important detail for us. The Pastor used by Swartz Funeral Home, Hank, a Hospice Chaplin, took time in delivering a very well prepared non-denominational Christian message for us at the end of the visitation and again saying the right words at the Mausoleum during the conclusion of the service.The remainder of this review is being placed under Matthew Taylor’s name because of the limits google places on characters, which I do not agree with. If they ask for a review, google should post what one writes minus any profanity, here is the important conclusion;
Vickie Scott: Over 4 Months Ago, My Brother, Terry, Passed Away & Rick Lamb & The Staff, Took Very Good Care Of My Brother & Us, The Family, Throughout, The Showing Of My Brother, The Visitation & Funeral Services, Even After The Funeral, They Were Very Kind, To Help My Sister-in-law, To Figure Out Some Things! We All, Couldn't Have Been Anymore, Pleased! The Staff Were Very Attentive, To Our Needs & Very Friendly, To All Of Us! We Would Recommend, "Swartz Funeral Home" To Assist Anyone, In Their Time Of Bereavement❤The Harnetz & The Scott Families❤Thank You, Very Much❤
Nunya: I want to know why it says on the bottom of the obituary that condolances may be made to the family at YOUR funeral home and then once this was done several family members were allowed to verbally attack other family members with foul language, inappropriate comments, extremely rude, vile conduct and the utmost disrespect to the deceased and other guests who were trying to pay their respects? This all took place directly in front of the deceased casket!! Disgraceful!! Not only this, but NO staff from Swartz Funeral Home was visible while this was going on, nor in its aftermath. No attempt was made to quell this behavior, no attempt was made to escort those out who were causing the disturbance and because of this incident, certain family members are afraid to attend Lydia's funeral on Wednesday, February 14th at 1pm. This is totally unacceptable behavior on behalf of any family and should have been dealt with swiftly by you, Swartz Funeral Home. This couldn't have been an isolated case on the part of Swartz Funeral Home if you've been in this business as long as you say you have. I'm sure you've dealt with this sort of situation before. I am appalled by the lack of caring by ALL parties involved. Everyone who participated and did nothing to stop it should be ashamed. May God forgive all those who have no respect for the dead and don't allow those to rest in peace. I did not participate in any part of this horendice fiasco, but I hope and pray that no family ever has to witness what my sister was subjected to yesterday when she tried to pay her respects to her dead mother. I know I will never forget it........THIS IS A TWO PART CONTINUED REVIEW.......I am now reviewing the funeral of Lydia Skaggs. Once again you get a much less than favorable review for your conduct.Today, Wednesday, February 14, 2018 after services for Lydia Skaggs were over there was once again a disturbance caused by some of the family members who can not refrain from and do not seem to know when it is inappropriate to use foul language. These family members were given the "heads up" so to speak via a phone call by a staff member from Swartz Funeral Home that another family member had arrived there early. That enraged these particular family members! I feel Swartz Staff knew delivering this information to these people would set them off and cause them to become angry and it was not Swartz Staff's business to inform these people of ANYTHING PERIOD!! These very same family members were observed by others screaming and yelling obscenities at other family members who were there to pay their respects to the deceased. Onlookers were in shock, while some got up and left in fear or disgust. Only today something else was observed that was different than yesterday's disgusting display and was seven members of the Swartz Funeral Home staff, all standing, watching this circus, some with their hands over their open mouths, could be heard snickering!!!! When one member of your staff was confronted and asked to do something, that person was told, "This happens all the time, we would have to call the police." Ok! Then why didn't you??? Instead you all stood there and laughed? What did you think was so funny???? You are a disgrace. Don't think that I won't tell everyone that I know, exactly what I think of your business practices and how you instigated and participated in this egregious display. I am extremely embarrassed to admit that I am partially related to the people who behaved like trash and disrespected Lydia Skaggs and her family so badly. However, trust me when I say that when the staff at Swartz Funeral Home stands for nothing but trash, then you are every bit their equal.
Miguel Cin: Held funerals for both my in laws and it was wonderfully held here. The services are superb.
Richard Vyse: Outstanding service. My Mom passed away at night and was very pleased that the staff at Swartz wanted to come directly to my home to begin making the funeral arrangements. You just do not find a business willing to do that anymore. As we spoke I decided to wait until morning and they said that was ok and set an appointment time. Thank you for all of your kindness and considerations.
Heidi Smith: I am extremely upset with Swartz Funeral Home right now. My father just passed last night and the EMTs didn't even have him out of the house yet and a man from Swartz called and wanted to schedule a time for my mom to come in this morning to make funeral arrangements. They couldn't even give us that night to mourn before they started selling us on funeral arrangements. I feel that it was very inconsiderate to not even give us the evening. We will never use Swartz again. This is a very difficult time and they clearly do not care about anything but making money.
Jason Stallings: The little man that we dealt with during my brother's funeral was condescending and arrogant the entire time. He some how managed to take the worst day of our family's lives and make it a little worse. He was great...and by great, I mean a huge pile of fecal matter.
Grai like gray: Wonderful. The environment was beautiful, the staff was attentive, and our loved one looked like herself again. Thank you all for taking care of her.
Eugene Luxton: Very helpful & professional. I will only use Swartz in the future

Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center: what do users think?
Media Guru: So I had to lay my mom to rest yesterday. She had me when she was 16. She live a beautiful life from August 31, 1966 -December 16, 2022. 56 years young. Her name was Holly Lee (Kraft) Gill. It was the most horrific experience I have ever had to venture through. I called a few places to try to wrap my mind around how this process works. I got the run around for many. From the first phone call to Sharp Funeral Home in Swartz Creek I received very clear information on what to expect frost m processes to cost and everything in between. The attitude when I asked about buying outside items was “absolutely you can do that”. I eventually called back and requested an appointment to get everything set until. They took care of getting my mom there, I didn’t have to do anything in for that. At the appointment I felt comfortable, cared for and genuinely care about. Myself, my husband and my Step Dad were all there and met with Greg in Swartz Creek. He went through everything and even helped us understand all the ins and outs so we could decide if we were going to cremate or do a burial. he stayed in contact with us the entire time almost on a daily basis until the day of the funeral. The Swarts Creek location is beautiful, my mother looked beautiful, the music was playing and the slideshow was up. We even had an area which was a room behind the main room with tables and a kitchenette for coffee and snakes that we brought for family.Julie and Lynette worked hard to keep my slideshow going because something wasn’t working to keep things moving on my PowerPoint that I put together. I appreciate them so much. As beautiful as a funeral can be… it was. As we ended the ceremony, we worried about how we would get all the flowers and whatnot back home. Greg assured me not to even think about all of that, they would deliver it all the next day and that it was all part of the process and fees. I was blown away. They didn’t go on and on about all the the extra items they included but they did include them out of the goodness of their hearts. They care and it shows. David came ove today with all of the flowers and everything requested from my moms day. He was kind and brought everything in with care. They are lucky to have such a great team. I cant believe I am posting a review about how amazing and considerate a funeral home team is but here I am. If you want to find a place that will take good care of your loved one who passes and hold your broken heart generally with guidance through this difficult process, I can not recommend Greg and his team at Shape Funeral Home Swartz Creek highly enough. God Bless them, they are truly doing Gods work.
Tom Sopko: Our family cannot express how well Sharps staff guided us through the entire process from start to finish. Compassionate and ultimate professionalism.
Will Hosie: Sharp Funeral Home has serviced my and my late wife's family for generations. It would be a real struggle to come up with anything negative. I highly recommend Sharp Funeral Home.
Deborah Halstead: My family and i felt the warmth, compassionate and professional care of Stephanie and her team. They explained all the steps needed and they handled all our questions and concerns. Thank you for being there for us in our time of need.
Adrianne Stoner: Haven't been inside since before the fire and got a full tour with the 3 services we attended last month. Must say it was familiar yet new feeling at the same time. Really love the updated classy style. It's bright airy and peaceful. The staff and services where lovely as always. While the time there is filled with tears it's a very comforting atmosphere.
Sachi Turnbull: Everyone was so wonderful and helpful with planning the service for my mom, and with follow up questions/items needed. Really appreciate it!!!
Trux 3d: Classy and professional The new building is beautiful.
Eulonda Brink: If I could give more then 5 stars I would . My grandmother has been gone 9yrs i just got a policy notification i knew nothing about . They have been absolutely amazing in helping me with this . But then again I wouldn't expect anything less they did a wonderful job with my grandmother , showing respect very helpful and caring will continue to use them
Klaus Swartz: Following the recent passing of my Mom, we turned to Sharp Funeral Home in Linden to help us in the details that attend a death. We are very pleased with the service given, and Stephanie was very attentive and dedicated to helping the family in this new season of life.I commend Sharp Funeral Homes highly, and would offer that you will find them to be as helpful and compassionate as anyone could hope to find.
Queen Jessica: They need a new makeup artist my loved ones makeup was so thick it didn't even look like her
Tim Trebtoske: After the very unexpected and sudden passing of my wife of 44 years, I was completely distraught and overwhelmed. I made the obvious choice to again turn to Sharp’s Funeral Home for closure and compassion and to be assured of their professional care, understanding, and ability to walk me through this very difficult time. I know I will have lasting peace of mind with their continuing support and know that I can turn to them at any time for additional advice. Being a businessman of 51 years, I’ve come to appreciate excellence. The Sharp Family truly has compassion, care, and understanding as their cornerstone.Truly…Timothy R. Trebtoske
Virginia Parker: Blake was very helpful and caring. Went above and beyond for our needs to ensure my husband was taken care of with dignity.
Leah Wood: Blake was accommodating and patient with my family, especially having limitations with covid. We were able to get closure as a family with having an immediate family viewing of my father, amazing work. Thank you for making this difficult time a little easier.
Kathryn Brunell: My husbands funeral was held here in 2018 after a very unexpected passing. The entire staff was so dignified and treated our entire family like we were THEIR family!Held my mother in laws funeral here in Sept 2016. This was the most elegant and well organized, compassionate staff. It made a most difficult time a little more easier to bear. Their break room is on the other side of the building with a fireplace. Was the perfect setting to get away from the sadness and just regroup again!
Lisa Gray: The staff goes above and beyond to take care of the family needs. Makes things less stressful during such a difficult time. I knew my dad was in good hands. I can not thank them enough!
alicia oneil: Craig was very thoughtful under the circumstances. We appreciate everything they done for us.
Paula Hamilton: Probably was one of the worst experiences. Told when we made arrangements limo included during viewing ask was told it wasn't after much discussion with man in office finally said they would take 7 people also they have on there website a florest you can use told flowers were delivered on 7 which werent they had no ideal where they were or even what flourist my father had to have nephew go through emails to find out. I felt at a time like this a family does not need this stress will not go back or recommend to anyone
Randy Haney: Caring and organized
Brian Hemgesberg: They seem to be some of the best at something not many people are willing to do.

Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center: what do users think?
DK Bovee: Sharp Funeral Home was extremely helpful, compassionate and caring to us when our Mother passed away. When you lose a close family member, you need a guiding hand that is very empathetic to your situation. The staff we worked with was all of that and more. They even followed up after a few months to see how we were doing and gave us resources for grief counseling and estate issues, which meant a lot. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone who loses somebody they love.
Richard DeSonia: My wife's passing was truly a horrible thing. Sharp Funeral Home in Linden helped get our whole family through it. Thank you!

chris runnels: Great Funeral Home . The staff is very compassionate and helpful. We saw them go above and beyond for family.
Terry Randall: Received a mailing asking if I would like information on there services. Sent it back with no email or phone number. Was inundated with phone calls under schedule. Finally answered and set up an appointment only to be cancelled a month later. I am on the do not call list but they do not respect your privacy. They want to mail me information, fine. But the next phone call I get I will file a complaint. The next one, a claim for invasion of privacy.

Village Funeral Home & Cremation Service: what do users think?
Jody Hurren: The staff at Village Funeral Home are very helpful, caring and compassionate. They genuinely care about everyone they help.
Karen Kukuk: The Village Funeral Home recently performed the funeral service for my husband and it could not have been more perfect. Every detail was handled so professionally and it was so evident that our family was their main concern. I can not express my gratitude to Roy Langolf and his staff, Michele, Ron, Chris & Robin for everything they did to ease the pain of our loss.
Tala Harden: Roy and his team went above and beyond for the entire process from the beginning and even after everything was finished. They helped support us, make important decisions, and we’re always there for questions. Although I hope I don’t need their services anytime soon, I will go back to them when needed. Thank you for everything! You truly made a difference during a very dark time.
Diana Mac Arthur: Roy Langolf and his team are compassionate, empathetic, caring and understanding. They have a calmness that is soothing while you are making the most difficult of decisions. They have a solution for all your needs. I would not have gotten through the worst day of my life if it were not for them.
Marcie McGrath: I have crossed paths with many funeral directors in different capacities over my 50+ years, and have to say that Mr. Roy Langolf is the most impressive. His thoughtfulness and how detail oriented he and his staff are, make the experience of saying good-bye less stressful. As someone involved in the funeral services industry, there is so much behind the scenes that happens before, during and after the service the public is unaware of. Because of Mr. Langolf's professionalism the service is well organized and runs smoothly. I highly recommend the Village Funeral Home & Cremation Services for all your loved one's needs. They, and you will be in loving supportive hands.
Tom McClerren: Roy Langolf own's this funeral home. We have been cleaning carpets here for twelve years. It is run by a carrying compassionate staff.
Michael Via: Roy and Michele and everyone on the staff of Village Funeral Home made my father's passing so much easier for my family to bear that it is hard to fully put into words. As soon as Roy told my mom that he would bring my father's body back home to Ortonville a huge weight was lifted from her. Walking us through the process, helping us plan his remembrance, especially during the times of COVID-19 went wonderfully. Even spending time to speak with my mother, my sister, and myself about my father, and providing his own experiences, we are truly blessed to have Roy as our funeral director. Michele's guidance to my mother and her own story of loss and remembrance also made my mom's choices of how to remember my father so much easier and fulfilling. Roy and Michele somehow managed to make what should have been some of the hardest days of our lives into a truly enjoyable opportunity to celebrate the life my father had lived, and honored him in a way that he would be so proud of. I would trust Village Family Home with any of my loved ones, and I would suggest that anyone who has their own loved ones in their care to consider themselves blessed, because they're going to have a wonderful experience as well.
Brian Britton: Very caring, professional, compassionate people. Services were over and above our expectations, delivered respectfully at the most difficult of times.
David Pillsbury: Roy and the staff are fantastic. He's made some difficult times over the last few years easy to navigate. And is great to work with. Always goes above and beyond. Can't say enough. Other then I don't I want to see the guy as often as we have.
Linda Brazelton: I can't say enough good about the treatment and care we received while preparing for, and during my father's funeral on January 4, 2020. The arrangements were handled in a very professional and personal manner, with care and attention to details along with consideration of financial details, and my family was not pressured. Caring, compassionate and dignified, Roy, Michelle and his staff were there to help every step of the way. During the funeral, they were always available professionally, yet seemed a part of the family - how they did that, I can't tell you, but they did! For that, my family is grateful.
melony parker: We were met with professionalism and care by the entire staff. I appreciate the fact that we were given many options for our loved one that were affordable and never felt as if we were being sold. The care and attention that was taken with our family was absolutely priceless. Roy made a difficult time much easier and really had my families interest first. I wish we didn't need places like this but when you do there are no better hands to be in than those of Roy and the staff at Village.
Melissa Wilson: I cannot recommend Roy and his staff enough. His assistant called just to let me know when they had my grandfather in their possession because she knew it would give me peace of mind. Roy was wonderful at the planning meeting and we left knowing we were in good hands. We didn't know how good until we got to the cemetery, where incompetence and gross negligence awaited us. That was when we met "Bulldog Roy" who knew how to go to bat for us as a family and tear into those who needed it without making a scene and maintaining professionalism. My sister told me when it was all over, "When I go, make sure Roy handles it."
Shelby Wilson: Roy is absolutely amazing. I can't say enough good things. He was a strong voice for our family when dealing with an extremely negative experience with the cemetery we were using. We will always appreciate how he helped us in our time of need.
Ashley Wilson: Roy took great care of my grandfather. I could not ask for a better experience
Dana Millar: Roy,Michelle and assistant Mike were caring, compassionate and extremely helpful, they went out of their way to make a very difficult time bearable, even setting up a private viewing before cremation. They went the extra mile many times over
Brian Reid: Director Roy Langolf and staff were incredible helping our family through a very difficult time. They took the time for all of our questions and walked us through every detail. They went above and beyond for all of the families requests and wishes. The compassion and caring they showed to our family was remarkable. It was as if our lost loved one was one of their own. Thank You so much.
Marie Ahonen: Could not have imagined going through the funeral of our son without Roy and Michelle's help. They were so kind, caring, and took care of everything
Julie Wilson: Roy and his staff helped us through such a difficult time. They went above and beyond and were so kind and respectful. All services provided were exceptional and they made the entire process as comfortable as it could be. Truly felt the "home town" support and it was really appreciated.

Wendy Van Sipe: What a wonderful experience during one of the worst times of my life. They took care of everything. The staff is awesome. They were all very professional and compassionate, yet they made me feel like I had known them for years. It takes special people to do their job and they were all amazing. I will always be grateful for the way they took care of me. ❤️

Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center: what do users think?
Susan Cason: Shocked when they didn't put immediate families vehicles in front of funeral procession. The son was placed in the back of the line. Disrespectful.
Jennifer Smith: Let face it, nobody wants to deal with death but this place is AMAZING. We lost our dad unexpectedly and they made the entire process so easy. They took care of everything and more. They were patient and very compassionate. My mother was married to Dad for 61 years and they took care of all the paperwork and most importantly, my father. It was one less thing for her to worry about during the hardest time of her life and our family will be forever thankful to Sharp for all that they did.
Mary Ann Whidden: Could not express our appreciation enough for the comfort and professional care that our family received during our loss. Thank you so very much for your help and support.
John Ottney: Sharp Funeral Home was the right choice for our Mother's arrangements. JR and his staff were caring and responsive from start to finish. I highly recommend
Matthew Charles: Nice place for funeral services
Camiron Andrews: Sharp took such good care of my family and me. They made extra accommodations and went out of their way to treat us with love and respect during a very emotional time. I hope others chose to trust them with their arrangements as I feel like they are truly the best around.
Jane Ditri: We were greeted warmly by everyone . The room we were given to share our treats was well furnished and had everything we needed. The decor for the visitation room was beautiful and our flowers were placed in attractive ways. The director was knowledgable and kind. We all felt the transition to the church and after, to the graveyard went smoothly. We all felt well cared for.
Marisa F: Sharp Funeral Home staff are consistently considerate and kind to all, taking time to answer questions and to make sure all needs are met. We've used their services several times, both when making arrangements in advance and when emergencies required immediate need of a funeral home. Thank you for making difficult times a little easier to get through. Recommend.
Tina shephard: Very kind and compassionate people. Went above and beyond to accommodate our family. We had my Dads visitation and funeral at our church and they were there the entire time and were very helpful.
Michelle: My grandparents were taken care of here, and I recently had my grandmother here. As a pastor (in NJ) I work with a lot of funeral homes, and this one is rated very highly in my book.I am beyond grateful for their love and care for those they are tasked with caring for at such sad times.Thank you all so much for your care for my family and especially my grandparents, its helps to know they were in wonderful and caring hands!
Craig Loader: Our dad passed away on Thanksgiving Day. We were amazed that we were able to contact Sharps on a holiday and they went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. We would highly recommend this funeral home. They are very family oriented and even made the call to our church to facilitate the service. RJ in particular was top notch. Steve did a phenomenal job driving our dad to his final resting place all the way Downriver to Michigan Memorial Cemetery. Thank you again for all that you did.The Loader Family
Joy Keeble: I can't thank Roger Sharp and staff enough for being so caring and helpful during such a difficult time of losing my husbandTheir service is first class.
Cynthia Kuzera: Sam was very helpful, answered all my questions quickly and respectfully. Didn’t try to talk me into something I didn’t want, he respected all my wishes, even told me my choice of last song was fine (the song has bad words, I’m trying to find the clean version Sam!).
Katie Monk: During such a sad time, everyone provided so much compassion and care for our family. Thank you.
Boonie: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Ronald Devine: Neat clean outstanding personnel they bend over backwards to help
Michael Gibson: Nice calm place, plenty of room. Space for separate funerals good distance apart. Staff very attentive. Nice show room for caskets, urns, plaques, etc. placed away from funeral parlour. They allowed our Native American traditional ceremony which involves burning sage (leaves a pleasant aroma though) and a pipe ceremony. These created a lot of smoke inside. No issues.
Pam Agelink: I contacted Sharp to review a pre-planned funeral and Holli Gage came to my home and was very informed and very helpful. She made this experience much more pleasant than I thought it could be and I would certainly recommend anyone who would like to make their own arrangements to contact her. She was a pleasure to work with and made this decision so much easier!
James Thompson: Hi mom is everyone is okay
