torrance pelong: After having a rough transaction the employees felt that escalating and even going so far as to crowd me put me into Fight or Flight mode. Normally I have quick and knowledgeable transactions and today I just needed some soil and some fresh pots. After sending someone to confirm they had the DNC Great Lakes Water only and paying for it I got out to find that three of the bags in stock were ripped and soaked so the nutrients were already running away. The employee that seemed in charge said as much then had the guile to over me the three worthless bags of soil in place of the two more I needed. I was noticeably ticked off that he tried to sell me on worthless soil and that after confirming they had it finding out they didn't but they sold it to me. I went inside to get my refund and the employee at the register didn't use the register to process my refund so when I got to my next location and thought he had given me $41 he had actually given me $22 for the two bags of soil that cost $20 each. I called and informed him of the mistake and when I got there he tried to be smug about knowing how much I was supposed to be owed after messing it up in the first place and gave me a very disingenuous "Have a nice day". I tried to tell him not to feel so smug about giving me a run around and almost cheating me out of 22 dollars because he couldn't be bothered to handle a refund properly. At this point the employee that tried to sell me on taking the ripped bags came out and wanted to claim that if I hadn't "Copped a attitude" they would have treated me somehow better or right.... Upon hearing a upset customer one of the employees in the lot came charging towards me which instantly put me in a defensive stance. I have never had a interaction like this at either location with any employee and would greatly appreciate hearing from management if they would like this review to be reviewed.

Jack Macejko: A very good, extraction-centric grow shop. BVV supplier, has fittings, hoses, consumables, can special order more exotic items. If you want to put your hands on a built column and feel it out, great spot to do so. The staff have been accommodating, professional. Also, If your regular shop doesn’t have CO2, these guys probably do. They stock more tanks than grow shops twice their size.

Angela Brown: Walker Farms and Greenhouses is one of the best local fresh produce and nurseries to go to in the Burton area. This farm has been in operation since 1953. The produce is always ripe and tasty. Some items seem more expensive like the mums, but the vegetables seem reasonably priced. Prices have gone up in this current market, but most everything has gone up! I usually purchase sweet corn (4 for $3.99) potatoes, and apples in late summer. I also buy pumpkins and mums in the autumn. Make sure to check the walls for recipes or sign up for their newsletters. The owners are always friendly! I cannot stress this enough. Farms and farmers continue to disappear for various reasons be it climate change, droughts, increasing operational costs, increased prices of fuel, trade wars, dropping commodity prices, decreasing freshwater reserves, etc. If we want to continue to get locally sourced produce, it is imperative that we support our farmers locally. I try to do my part and I hope I can count on you to do the same. If you want to buy fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers grown locally, this is the place to visit!

Mz LadyScorpio: I've been going to Ken's for about 10 yrs and for the first time this year I'm extremely disappointed with the same two pots I get planted every year not only was I upcharged 10-12 dollars because I was told they didn't have any soil to plant my pots.I was told that had to pay more for the soil they were going to get and it wasn't as good as the soil they normally have to leave my pots and come back later and I did so.This year my plants didn't grow like they normally do and I watered them as usual they in fact died almost at least twice. The end of the season I empty my pots and instead being full of soil there were numerous plastic trays that held other plants and or flowers scattered throughout the soilI didn't pay for plastic I paid for soil Ifeel that was an extremelydishonestpracticeand it preventedmy plantsfrom growing. I want a refund on what Ipaid for you don'thave to rob your customersof over a decadeor betterit'sunfortunatebut you'velost a customerpermanentlyand Iwill be contactingyou becauseit'sthe principlenot the price..

Danielle Neiswender: really enjoyed my interaction with Ken when we were there to purchase transplants a few days ago. Our plants needed to wait for in ground planting for a few days (3) while we cleared a bed. Six plants have been cared for in our sunroom for three days, one has developed spotty leaves characteristic of bacterial disease but the other five are fine. unfortunately the greenhouse doesn't accept returns and stated that they should have immediately been planted out. since they would not switch the plant out for an undiseased one, I will of course have to replace it with a purchase elsewhere. and, as a result I probably won't be back. this bums me out as I usually do like to support small and local here in flint. But, I don't want to risk bacterial diseases in my garden

Brian Hobson: If you looked far enough into reviews you would see a review from me for IGS at this exact location about 1 year ago from now. I was just getting into growing indoors at home and this place is literally around the corner from my house. I was hoping they would be somewhere I felt comfortable and appreciated but back then I did not receive that type of welcome on either of my two visits. I always try to remind people to give businesses another chance after a while because we aren't unhappy with the business most of the time, it's just the people who work there who oftentimes make our experiences not so pleasant. Today, I stopped in here hoping I could stand it long enough to get a bag of soil, but instead I was completely blown away by the customer service and expertise I received. Without question I will be coming here for my soil needs in the future because Jimmy, who was working today, knows what customer service is all about! He seemed genuinely interested in helping me and made me feel welcomed as a customer even though I don't have a lot of money to spend. I do have severe social interaction disorders and it's difficult for me in public so when I'm treated so well at a business, I tend to go there until it's not possible to anyone! Excellent staff here now and the best selection I've seen around for soil or grow medium needs

My wife,son and I went in happy as always with smiles when we came in the lady's at the counter turned to look and didn't great us. When I said hello how are you today still no response. Me and my wife looked at each other and laughed then went on with our shopping. When I went up to the counter to pay another customer came in, they greatest that customer with a "Hello how are you doing" and even asked if there was anything they could help them find. My family wasn't greatesthat wy instead it was still faces and silence. I only stopped here because happy harvesters was out of my way. It completed ruined my whole vibe and I didn't want to be in the store anymore. All good though I just know to never come here again and go out of my way to go to Happy Harvesters.

I asked if I could return. He flipped out on me and said “all sales final it’s on your receipt” I said how am I supposed to know when you don’t have a sign at the register, but once I pay you hand me the receipt that say “all sales final” so I’m forced with no knowledge. He threatened to call the cops if I didn’t leave the property.I’m a very calm, humble person with no hate in my heart. I’m just a grower that loves humans. This guy was aggressive and very rude. Didn’t even want to try and work some type of Compromise.
