Lewis Family Athletics: Oh My GOODNESS! The best sushi by far. We are sushi lovers and have been driving to Maru Sushi in East Lansing. This place is as good if not better. We had the Dragon Roll, the Tempura Shrimp Roll and the California Roll. Very fresh. We don't go out to eat often but we had to visit two days in a row because of the quality. Highly recommend.

morbid soaps: The restaurant is basically a shack filled with fake orchids, scratched up tables and chairs. They keep dilapidated furniture in the public restrooms for that raunchy feel. Unfortunately the sushi is much like the ambiance. Dry rice, bland wasabi, over sauced rolls, the whole thing is a mess. Take the drive to sushi zen in Brighton. I promise you it’s a better experience.

Patrick Scanlon: I got the ginger chicken poke bowl and it was simply inedible. The very small portion of chicken/onions was burnt because the owner came in and was talking to the cook while he was supposed to be preparing the meal. There was little to no seasoning and was served with an unnecessary amount of white rice that was rock hard. Very disappointing. I will not be back.

I ordered ramen but I got what seemed like at home ramen noodles in tap water (no seasoning) for a grand total of about 14 dollars. Do not waste your time on food you won't be able to enjoy.

Aside from the fact that they run out of most food items well before 2:30pm, my meal today was absolutely inedible. I ordered the chicken fried rice, in which I’ve had in the past and was edible previously. Today the rice was hard, crunchy, and burnt. There was an excessive amount of ginger placed into the meal without any other flavors. Barely any soy sauce, and they did not even have the decency to chop up the chicken. Just two large chunks slapped on top of undercooked rice that was more than likely left over burnt rice from the bottom of the skillet, that my jaw now needs to recover from. So disappointing. Aside from todays meal, if you truly love sushi, this IS NOT the place for you. It is overpriced and the pieces are cut so THICK you need a fork and knife to even attempt to eat it. Unfortunately, I am completely done spending my money here for mediocre (at best) overpriced meals.

Breanna Allen: If you like sushi and good service this is not the place for you. This was the second time I got sushi here after the first experience was not great ( my tempura roll was an atrocity) and it was not a great experience all around the second time. I asked for a side of eel sauce with my boyfriend and I’s meal and was told they were too busy after she continued to tell us our total which was 30$. I really feel like asking for a side of sauce with a 30$ meal is not a lot to ask. I was then handed a small side of eel sauce and guilt tripped about how the dish washer had to get it and it was usually a dollar, which I was willing to pay but was told they couldn’t get it originally. The sushi is very sloppy. Not rolled tightly and impossible to eat as it is cut way too big. The taste is mediocre as the crab salad is seasoned way too much. My boyfriends poke bowl had a gigantic chunk of cream cheese it was not great. As a frequent person at the market there is far better food you can get for even less money.

Helena Cameron-Simpson: Ok I wanted Chinese food but hubby wanted to check this place out instead! I was on the fence cause I’m thinking these little bowls aren’t going to do the trick! I did as he wished and ordered online… to my surprise there are different sizes for the bowls. Small, medium, and large. The food was great and dispite how busy they were Josh stopped to check on us every time he walked by. JOSH deserves a raise for his great customer service and keeping that beautiful smile on his face dispite the huge rush going on arround him! Danielle Nettleton: Delay in the kitchen as usual. Was not good service, and communication was not attempted in regards to the length of time it was going to take to get our food. When asked how much longer I was given a response that she does not work in the kitchen but seen it was next to come out. When the food did come out, it was ok for some of our party but others had really soggy buns and did not eat their food. We were there over an hour before we got our half fresh food.

Simplii Quonnie: My family came here to eat (drive thru). I ordered a deluxe sandwich but I guess I was misunderstood and got a normal sandwich. It’s no big deal. My husband went in just asking for lettuce and tomatoes put in a box and we’ll pay for it. They said we was “doing too much”. How is asking for lettuce and tomatoes doing too much? Andy W: Ordered online and selected the option for curbside. After waiting 25 minutes they sent out an employee to inform me and a car next to me that they were busy and couldn't send someone out with our orders. We were told to get in line (which now was to the street). Don't know why that particular employee couldn't just bring the orders. They also need to turn off curbside and inside pickup if they aren't going to be offering it at the time.Ordered from her again at night. Definitely avoid. Was served pies that had still by times over 4 hours ago. Then the chicken was too tough to even bite into. The burger also seemed like it was past it's sell by time.
