Dot Weir: Had a no show driver at 6:15 am to GRR. Thankfully the Courtyard front desk gal put me in her own car. I called later in the morning to complain about the no show and the gal said, “yes, we know about the problems at Grand Rapids”. They are the taxi company who’s number is posted in the taxi stand at GRR. DON’T TRUST THEM!

Tatiana P: Wow, I wish I would have been as lucky as other people whose drivers didn't even show up. Absolutely do not use this sketchy cab company. The driver didn't have a meter running and told us on the drive that he was going to charge us $60 each. My coworker and I were sharing the cab and our hotels were only three blocks apart. Then when we said we've never been charged per person like that before he said it's the company rules but he'll be nice and just charge 60 and an additional 25 instead. When we said nevermind just take us to the hotel and one of us would walk. He said no it's raining I'm not gonna be that guy. I'm gonna be nice and just take you both for the $60. Keep in mind the cost of the most expensive Uber, in a fancy car, for the same drive at the same time would be $47. The cheapest option was $18. We've just never been so overpriced before so we took the cab not expecting that. Based on the questions he was asking us, it was pretty obvious he was taking advantage of us because we hadn't been to the city before and were on a work trip. When I said I thought he was overcharging us he said no I'm not look, this is from the company, and pulls out a pamphlet that looks like it was poorly made on Microsoft word. You can print out whatever prices you want it doesn't mean you aren't scamming somebody. He raised his voice, looked angry, and I didn't feel safe riding alone with him so I just got out and got an Uber for less than ten bucks to take me to my hotel- who was also shocked that he would try to charge so much.

Brandon Barkholz: Called a day in advance for a 3:30am pick up the following morning. 3:30am came and went, and around 3:45am I called to follow up. The dispatcher informed me the reservation was not in the system, he had no drivers online, and while apologetic; couldn’t do much to solve my problem leaving me stranded at my hotel. About 15 minutes later, a cab pulled up and we were able to make the ride. No concessions were made, we were still charged the full flat fare of $25 for a 1 mile ride.

They even connected me with a driver that had no idea he suppose to pick me up and get me to destination. I end up never getting to my train, lost money and had to reschedule.

Scheduled a ride through their system to get to the airport for a 6am flight. No one showed up in the morning, and after calling they said that there were no drivers, and their reservation system didn’t know if they had drivers available or not. A very stressful experience. I asked “how much would a car from the airport to X destination cost?” The rep on the phone said “we’re just the answering service”, so I relied “ok, totally get it, it like to schedule a taxi for 4 hours from now”, she then replied just exit via door 5, and find the taxis. Oh wait, we may not have cans running right now anyways” so I replied “ok, that’s why I was trying to schedule, so there’s nothing you can do?” , her “no”. Don’t bother to call these guys for anything, ever.

Wayne Edgar: My son got a Metro One taxi from GRR. Cab driver didn't have a working credit card reader and didn't say anything until already in the cab. Said he could get to the destination for the cash on hand and then ended dropping off halfway saying that's all he could do for the cash.

We had a boarding time of 5:50am. I finally had to call a different company & hope for the best. The other cab co. quoted a half hour arrival & when I shared my panic (@ 5:10am), he promised 9-10 min & took even less than that. Again - do NOT use Metro Cab - ever.

No cab arrived, I called Metro and gave them my confirmation number 1917310. They could not find the driver, and no other cabs were in the area. Needless to say we did not get the needed test, We were offered 3 other numbers to call ! Other cab companies?? We will NEVER use them again. They are not dependable.

The dispatch either does not greet you with "hello" they just slam you on hold and expect you to deal with their rudeness. They are very unprofessional. Cab drivers smell like weed when arriving to home for doctor appointments. Can't locate their drivers most of the time. Very unreliable.

I was originally quoted half an hour wait, then when I explained my situation (needed to get to airport immediately for a flight), the est of arrival quoted was 10 min. Not even FIVE minutes later, dude came down our street ready to get our larger group & got us to the airport! Not only that, when he arrived, he helped with all our luggage & greeted me with a hug! But, had to have someone with me (due to anesthesia). So, called Joel again. He agreed to pick up my wife in Lowell, then pick me up at Butterworth and then take us both home to Lowell. He came thru for us again. To top it off, we were talking about music on the way home and he sang us a song.. a hymn called "Everybody Ought to Know". He's got a great voice!
