The Peoples Cider Co.: what do users think?
Joginder Sahni: great drinks and location. BYOF too!
Paul Boynton: The absolute best ciders! And a cool vibe.
Ben Valk: Very small, but the whole experience was extremely pleasant! I liked most of the ciders, I tend to enjoy the sweeter ones. Purposefully no distractions in the taproom, just enjoyable conversation with the bartender. Outside seating available for the upcoming warmer weather. Would definitely go back!
Michelle Strzyzewski: 5 is not enough stars. 75 stars
Mike Phillips: It's one of the best spots in Grand Rapids for Hard Ciders. They serve no food, but cider is all you need anyway, right? The owner/bar server is super friendly and will chat your ears off if you give him a chance.Definitely a must try
uller101: Great people and fantastic cider!
Brian B: Awesome cider and atmosphere!
Jim Banta: Solid Ciders. Loved the guy behind the bar, incredibly nice to us out of Towners, and had some good recommendations. Those flights of ciders were delicious.
Ashley Marlette: Great variety of semi dry and dry ciders, nothing to sweet.
Andrew Ketchum: One of my favorite spots in Grand Rapids. Always have unique, funky cider on tap. I only make it in once or twice a year usually but I always feel welcomed like a regular. Come and have a glass or 2, but be careful, the cider can sneak up on you! Cheers!
Jessica Thompson: Exceptional service, quality cider, and fun atmosphere! We felt welcomed as soon as we walked in the door and greatly enjoyed the Cherry Adams cider. Would highly recommend!
Tyler Stro: Give Jessie a raise. I'm a salesman for a living, and within 20 minutes of me sitting down at that bar he had sold me an extra cider, a sticker, and a annual month club membership. Given, I had NEVER even heard of the place before. Until then. Stellar service, stellar drinks. Check this place out
Christopher Kemp: Excellent. Always.
Nick Humphrey: Fantastic! 😍
Madi B: I had such a good time!
Ryan Gallagher (Rhino): Great ciders and great people. I had never been here before and as soon as I walked in I was treated like a regular. Ciders were good and they have a good selection of flavors as well as rotating ciders, good mug club deal as well! I will definitely be back!
J. Smith: Finally managed to stop in and try a few ciders and my only regret was waiting so long! Jamie was very welcoming and broke down their current tap list and a little about the business.Of the ciders we tried they were all great, and I appreciate that they have a great balance of sweetness. Not so dry that it's like a champagne but not so sweet that it's like a soda. Not that they're all the same, but none I tried were too sweet or dry. Highly recommend to anyone, whether you're a big cider fan or not. It's not a big space inside, but it's very cozy and there is some outdoor seating as well. Very cool/good vibe to the place!
Alpha Team (Alphateam): Great staff and cozy atmosphere.
Nathan Ver Beek: Great vibe at People's Cider! We tried the flight which included all of the available ciders, every one was great! If you get Dan, you'll be taken care of.
Josh Von Werewolf: The cider was great. The atmosphere was awesome and Jamie was a great host. Will be back.
Ryan Gravelle: Great tasting ciders served by awesome people. Indoor and outdoor venue located on Leonard near Quarry.

Painted Turtle Hard Cider Tasting Room: what do users think?
Kyle E: Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and awesome hard cider flights. I would highly recommend this local spot!
Joy O'Brian: My husband & I went to Painted Turtle on April 14 as something fun to do on a day off work. We had an hour drive from our home in Allegan County. I had fallen in love with 2 of Painted Turtle's ciders (Cranberry Craze & Heartseed Berry) over the last month when we ate at 2 different Holland restaurants. We really enjoyed their primarily dry ciders bursting with fruit flavor (especially Four Medley & Blueberry in addition to the 2 I knew we already liked). The issue with Painted Turtle is their high cost. They only had single cans available which were $7 - 8 EACH & no 4 pack, 6 pack, or cases available! They do fill growlers (64 oz) & half growlers (32 oz), but their glass cost for a new growler was at least $8. They will refill your own 64 oz growler (from anywhere) for about $20. We had forgotten to bring our empty growlers from home so we will need to take a trip back with them sometime we are in NE GR anyway. We did buy just a few cans before we left. Another bummer is that Painted Turtle does not sell their hard cider in any retail places. The person who served us tastings kinda scoffed when I asked her the question & replied, "oh, that's SO expensive!".
Geremy Graig: Good food, good cider
Arryn Uhlenbrauck: Impromptu stop with a friend on the way back from a shower. We had cider tastings and played checkers (terribly) in the back space. The cider was delicious. I would recommend the Apple Crisp or the Michigan Medley.
Angelo Maggio: Great scenery. Great food and drink. The back boardgame room made for nice family fun.
Mike Phillips: Cool place in the middle of nowhere. Ciders are on the sweeter side. Donuts and ice cream for the young ones. Has a small play area outside for your youngsters .
June McMeeken: Amazing fun place for families.
Kirstie Maylor: Outstanding experience. Delicious cider, and a nicely laid-out area to taste and enjoy it in. Store has ice cream, some produce, gift goods, and dairy, like a delightful old-time general store might have. Lovely, intimate, small-town feel that makes you feel like a local. The cider was incredible; I highly recommend all the ones I tried (Traditional, Apple Crisp, Michigan Medley, Cozy Cabin, BlackBerry). I might have to go back soon for more Cozy Cabin (spiced cranberry) because I couldn't stop thinking about that the whole drive home. Looking forward to future visits!
Matt Biek: Great little fall stop, fantastic cider!!! Who knew coffee and vanilla would carry through fermentation!!
Guera711: Great Customer Service Cute Atmosphere Great Cider Definitely will be back
Mark Robinson: Didn't do the cider tasting, but did do everything else that Red Barn Market has to offer. Very nice people and the place is great for families
Richard Holland: Michigan Medley is their best Cider yet.
heather s.: Tasted them all & they're all great
S Rodiguerez: This place is so original I lived itIt's expensive but it's really a cool place unique actually
Kathy Bannister: Very good. Tasted 2flights of ciders and ate some cheese curds, tots, kraut dog and chili cheese dog. Enjoyed our first visit very much. Will be back another time for ice cream!
Scott Miller: Great place, hard cider tasting, ice cream and fresh produce
Mark H. Rosenberger: The Red Barn Market is "THE"go-to location for community produce, fun & entertainment.
Al Lenhart: Great place!
Shane Reister: I'm not really a cider person but they have good flavors and a petting zoo.
Robin Glesmer: Drinks and food was great!
Dakota DK: Great ciders & enjoyed our food. Friendly people! Not very crowded, so a nice place for a relaxed dinner with the family. Plenty of games and toys to keep everyone occupied. We will definitely be back.

Speciation Artisan Ales & Native Species Winery: what do users think?
Aaron LePoire: An amazing little out of the way brewery that has a great selection of unique beers. There is live music on occasion and it's very laid back and less crowded than other spots around the area. It sits back behind another business so it's a little harder to see but that's part of the charm.
COLIN WEDESKY: Great beer with an impressive range from clean beer, world class sours, seltzers, natural wine and wine spritzers!! The best selection west Michigan has to offer in a very chill space. This brewery is a must if you are looking for a good time and a chill space.Support a local food spot and bring something in! Dog friendly on the patio, yo!
Joshua Kingsley: Best true sour brewery in the state
Randi Claybaugh: Perfect for sour beer lovers. Love this place in the summertime.
Mattijs Vormer: This place was fantastic! Before we knew it, we got to taste different wines that were naturally fermented with explanations on the process. Cozy, comfortable place and super nice bar tender, Jane.
Thryn Saxon: This is an incredible brewery with really inventive and delicious brews! Jane was a generous and informative brew manager who educated us on the beers we were drinking and the natural wines. Highly recommend trying both! This feels like a must.
Chase Hasper: This is a relatively small brewery, tucked back off the street. There’s a decent amount of seating for their size and they have a nice little outdoor patio as well. Either in flavor or back story, most of their beer and wines are incredibly unique. They tend to brew things you actually won’t find most other places, which makes them stand out. My guess is you’ll want to grab a flight because you’ll want to try them all!
Leanne Ma: Great beer and really cool atmosphere. All of their merchandise is way too cool, I wanted to buy all of it! The trilobite mural is so awesome!
Crystina: Really cool backyard feel, not too small, amazing variety of wines, beers, and ciders. Clean bathrooms, fast service, friendly staff. Loved the gin barrel aged red wine blend!
Austin Meyer: Pretty cool place, tucked back in their own little area. The inside is pretty rad, good drinks and service. Definitely something to check out.
Alexa Lee: One of the best spots in GR! Appreciate that they are keeping outdoor dining in the winter- an igloo and a couple of benches! The uniqueness of the drinks is so much fun and the service is always great. Absolutely love the Doc Flamingo Peach Neon Smoothie- tastes just like a peach ring!
Renata Cayton: Always a pleasant visit! So many to choose from and recommended, getting a flight to get a taste of all the goodness they have to offer is always a good route to take!
Brittany Grashik: Loved trying the beers and wine here! Lots of sour beers, but they were all so flavorful. Jane was so friendly and gave us a lot of other recommendations to check out around town. Very relaxing atmosphere and fun place to watch the football game.
Hannah Otis: Awesome experience! Great drinks would come here every time we visit.
Kevin Jones: Really cool spot, good sours, RTJ pun named beer, good sours.
Lindsey Barlow: Update: revisiting again a year after my not so great review. Everything we tasted was _phenomenal_. I still don’t understand what went wrong on the first visit. So good!!Previous: My husband and I love sours and wild beers but we did not like 3 out of the 4 beers we sampled (one legit tasted like ammonia). I guess we're in the minority here. /Shrug
Matthew Stoner: I’m not into the sour/saison/farmhouse ale thing personally (clearly their primary styles) but between the wheat ale and lager I drank these folks are clearly competent breweries. If those styles are your thing I can only assume this place should be at the top of your list in MI. I liked the vibe. Open garage door slightly off the beaten path but not way out of the way from a hip little nook of town. Wife enjoyed a gin barrel aged wine as well. All-in-all I’d say it was one of the better brewery options in Grand Rapids
Madcity Stevo: Very cool space with great tasting ales. The ambiance was spot on for the unique and diverse offerings.
Tianyi Lu: An incredible brewery that specializes in wild fermentation/sour beers. They also make some great natural wines as well.
Mark Edly: Without a doubt, this is one of the best breweries in the nation, particularly if you love sours. I lived in Austin for years and frequently visited Jester King (considered the best brewery in Texas). They blow those guys out of the water.
Kristen Curths: I hesitate to let the masses in on our happy little secret of mind blowing concoctions of herbs and spiked drinks, but I will because they deserve the recognition.

Kevin Jones: We usually hit breweries but we stopped in and thought this place was awesome. Good booch and mead, the bartender was super cool, and the aesthetics were A+
Edward Dixon: Awesomeness! The Kombucha is amazingly good smooth never had anything that tasted so good. The Kombucha and Mead mixes are tasty and exciting. So worth a visit! The owners are so great and talkative they love people.
Tracy Barnett: Delicious! Great variety of regular and hard kambucha and nice selection of mead. I recommend a flight so you can have a taste of more than just one. Nice atmosphere. Could use a bit more seating.
Abigail Geerligs: Love this place! The woman who works there is amazing and funny! She’s always so helpful about the flavors. Kombucha is amazing!
Cary Rinchich Lopez: This place is very fun! I ordered a flight and Emily was very helpful in creating flavor combinations. I was not a fan of kombucha prior to Sacred Springs. Definitely recommend stopping by if you are in town!
Michelle Burkey: Amazing kombuchas! Very refreshing!
Evangeline Hoke: We just visited for the first time yesterday and had a lovely experience! The owner was there and we had a nice chat, and I bought a growler of booch because I thought it was very interesting that they brew it with green tea so the flavor is unique. Great addition to Eastown culture would highly recommend trying if you haven’t!
Kara McNabb: It’s my favorite kombucha! They have a great variety of flavors, too. Their beer has become my favorite, too. And I love the friendly atmosphere. I meet great people whenever I hang out at the taproom.
Carmen Neumann: Immaculate vibes *chefs kiss.* This place has incredible hard kombucha. I tried all of them and every single one was good. The cherry was my favorite. It’s also very chill here and a nice place to hang.
Myles Barlow: We keep coming back for the kombucha. Have been returning off and on whenever we visit gr for the past couple years. They rotate out flavors pretty consistently and the most surprising thing is that the new flavors are always fantastic. They may not be the flavors that I would have picked out but they are always well done.Trophoptics is always delicious and green dragon has a delightful kick.Their mead is also good, but we are here for the kombucha and friendly staff.
Ryan Gravelle: Friendly staff, great booch, good prices, live music.
Chris Town: My daughter and I are addicted to Sacred Springs Kombucha. It’s so great that people who hate it would love theirs. We don’t drink alcohol so this a wonderful healthy replacement. It’s spiritual if you let it be.
dustin yocom: Very good drinks
Amy Shepherd: A must visit place while in Grand Rapids. Geoff and Joel welcome you in and treat you like family. I highly recommend trying a flight to sample as many things as you can. The Flower of Life and Raz Ninja are my favorite flavors of Kombucha. I also enjoy the hotter flavors like Wednesday Afternoon in small quantities. The Kombucha beer is so light and flavorful. Can't wait to come back!
Sophie M: Yummy kombucha! I appreciated having space to relax. The employee was kind and helpful when picking out our flight. I like that the flavors are rotating, it makes them special.

Brewery Vivant: what do users think?
Mike Cavanaugh: The duck nachos are too die for
Táňa Rulková: Loved all four beers I tried. Great service and awesome atmosphere!
Madhavi Rao: Friendly staff! We sat at the bar and had an amazing time. The bartenders are super friendly and gave us a lot of tastings. The truffle fries are not to be missed. And of course great beer!!
Matthew Harrell: Brewery Vivant is one of my favorite breweries and one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. I live in Lansing, but I'm in the Grand Rapids area quite a bit during bicycling season.
Vitor Warwar: One of the best beers I ever had. Worth every drop! Well done
Sarah Kinney: Love the atmosphere of this space, super chill, good food and good 🍺
Annie Rehn: The atmosphere was nice, but I had my heart set on the poutine only to find it wasn't regular poutine gravy but a spicy Thai sauce? You couldn't get any substitute gravy. So I thought no problem, I'll get a burger and fries. When I asked for a side of ranch, the server told me they didn't have ranch there. What place doesn't carry ranch? The fries were so salty I could only eat about 1/3. The servers were nice and really attentive, so that's why I gave 3 stars. I really wanted to like this place but won't be back as the menu was a bit bizarre and limited.
KILLy Munster: Went for Weird Beer Weekend. The Weird Beer Flight was interesting & tasty. I had the Farro Salad, it was hearty but my taste buds needed more zip to it. My friend had the burger & fries, enjoyed it.Overall we liked it, service was friendly but extremely slow. Don't think we'll do dinner hours again. Will consider trying lunchtime.
Emily Moore: The atmosphere and food & drinks are great!
Grand Cast: This place is grand! Excellent beer and food made with quality and style. Always satisfying. Can't go wrong with a Farmhand.
Paul Deeds: Very unique atmosphere, bar was established in a former church with stained glass windows. Food was not traditional fair. Prices were reason.
Tom Caldwell: Great beers and atmosphere.
Katherine Johansson: We called ahead to see if their patio was open so we could enjoy some beers with our puppy. They were accommodating and opened the patio just for us so we could enjoy the sunshine and delicious brews. This was exceptional service!
Eddie White: Great location, friendly staff, good food! The beer sometimes I feel like is hitting and I like all of it, and other times it's not as easy, but it is always quality beer.
christian topil: Check #106 server PM T table 21Fantastic service thank you so much I can't wait to come back!
Benjamin Videtich: Love this spot! One my favorites around town.I recently celebrated my birthday at Vivant. They accommodated my little group of 12 with grace and candor.Having requested the beer garden, they were happy to snag a long table for us back where it was quieter. Thanks team! And, as so many other reviews note, the beer and food are excellent. Top notch.
Carlo Adinata: Beautiful brewery, great beers and very friendly staff!
Kimberly Wolbrink: Great service! Great food! Tom was fantastic! Elsie was super as well!
Cory Berends: Excellent selection of beers. Great food Get the duck nachos
Corey Crowley: Our server and beer expert was Jonas. He was very kind, funny and knowledgable. I was with two friends, and we had such a great time. The heated patio was very comfortable, the beer was amazing (the Czech Pilsner poured from a Lukr faucet is a must try) and the appetizers were all incredible!
Jeff Dyke: I wanted to give 5 stars so bad! But...alas. Overall, I really did love this place, and I will absolutely be returning. Because of that, I'll start with what knocked off the star, and then I'll end on the high notes. The negative - I ordered the star of the menu (judging from other reviews and from my buddy who was there with me), the duck nachos. Our food came out very quickly - great! Which is why I was so surprised with what I discovered - it was barely lukewarm in the middle, and cold everywhere else. They quickly replaced it and the replacement was hot.The nachos are tasty. The cheese sauce is good, duck is tasty, overall flavors are good. But! It costs $23... and I could barely find any duck on it at all. What I did find was really delicious, just very little of it. It is extremely heavy on the chips... so many they are falling off the plate and about half of them don't get eaten because there wasn't enough toppings to go with them. At this price point, I expected something much better than what I got.Okay, on to the good! This is in a very unique building, looks like an old church or chapel. Very cool atmosphere, and yet unpretentious. The host was polite, welcoming, and quick. Our waitress was really great. She was absolutely on top of everything and very friendly. The beers! I had a flight, and the beers were all tasty. I've tried plenty of West Michigan breweries, and I'd say the flavors here put them well above the average. All good in this department in my book.Lastly, I tried a bite of what my friend got, which was the beer cheese with some sort of homemade bread.Guys... have you ever actually experienced the term "mouth watering flavor"? Where you bite into something, and it is so overwhelmingly delicious that your mouth starts watering as you're eating? THAT is what happened when I bit into this bread with the beer cheese! I literally drooled a tiny bit as I was chewing! Lol. The cheese was tasty, yes, but this bread... fresh and hot with perfectly chewy inside with an equally perfect crunchy crust, sprinkled with just a bit of sea salt on top... my God. I died and went to heaven. Easily one of the best bites of fresh bread I've ever had in my life.So I'll be back! Again, overall I really liked it.
