New Holland Brewing - The Knickerbocker: what do users think?
David Satterthwaite: Love this place. It is my favorite brewery in Grand Rapids. Good food and good drinks. Absolutely love the dragons milk. It also has a great atmosphere on a Friday night.
Kaitlin Wood: Updated 5/13/23Vegan pizza and hard kombucha were great! Bummer that we couldn't get a server and had to order from the bar even though they were less busy than expected after the big race.Original post: Good beer and food but service was really lacking, both at the bar and also our table. Salmon BLT is really good! No kombucha on draft today 😥
Logan Rogers: Great vibes and a really cool space. Food, drinks, and service were all fantastic!
Adam Bordoley: Wednesday is the night to go to New Holland because of BOOT NIGHT!
Adam Billingsley: Excellent craft cocktails, craft brews and food. The tall ceilings and atmosphere make this place amazing! You won’t regret taking time to go there.
Tammy Punter: Large, cool bar with lots of drink options!
Sandra Johnson: Hands down one of the best places to host an event in GR!I had my wedding at New Holland Knickerbocker this past weekend and they knocked it out of the park! Shawna and Julia run the event space and they are excellent at their jobs! They helped me arrange and coordinate an amazing night and were available and communicative throughout the entire planning process. They worked seamlessly together to create such a special evening for my wedding day. I can not thank them enough! The staff that served us that night were top notch, the food and drinks were excellent and everything was absolutely perfect! I would not hesitate to recommend New Holland for any event!
Walter Gutowski: Dragons milk 👌
Lilly Baker: I have really enjoyed every time I have been to the Knickerbocker. They have fun seasonal cocktails and good food. It's also a really large space so good for groups. In the summer there's a really big outdoor patio that's great too. Highly recommend!
Alli Hersberger: Fun place. Nobody likes the EDM dj. Pls switch it up.
Cliff Roberts: Really solid brewery and able to handle very large crowds. It does get really busy so get there early. Their dragons milk line is really smooth for high abv. Enjoyed all the beers I had and would go back. Really excellent building and design throughout. A must stop if downtown Grand Rapids.
Tina Rendel: I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup. It was fabulous! The pesto on the sandwich added so much flavor. The soup was the perfect consistency for dipping the sandwich yet it tasted great on its own. A must try!!
martin gray: Top notch I love it here. Can't wait to see the new one in Battle Creek open.
Jared Geers: Loved the special key lime slush they had on St. Patty’s day. Was boozy, not sweet. Artichoke dip was amazing as well.
Kyprii Whitney: I only wish they would swap the burger buns for better ones but best place in the world
Michael Liepitz: Had a great experience here the night before Winter Beer Fest. Servers were helpful with beer choices and the space is amazing!
UpNorth Life: Love it here. Great food and nice people. Great atmosphere.
Carl Johnson: Good food, beer, and service.
blacktowerjake: Good venue for craft beer. Modern and up to date. The craft beers are very good.
brian stacey: Went in today (saturday) around 1230pm. Table of 5. No table available. Could sit by bar and order food and drink from bar. Was told it would be 30+ min until a server came in at 1. Went across street to pumpkin and got seated immediately.
Nicholas Schumacher: Best brewery in Michigan

East West Brewing Company: what do users think?
Ellery Zwiers: The food here is insane. So delicious and reasonably priced! Staff is very nice, highly recommend!
Matthew Mannikko: The Indian food was crazy good. The waitress was cool. The beer was delicious. Check, check, and check.
Wendy Parson: Food and service is absolutely amazing!I can't wait to come back.
Todd Sander: This place is not to be missed. Walking into this place and the incredible aroma from the menu items sets you up for a great experience. Unique additions to some really solid IPAs pair it well with menu items
Kyle Stritt: This place has an amazing patio and the food/beer has been pretty good but twice in a row now I’ve walked in and waited 10-15 minutes without being greeted or even seeing an employee. I want to be a customer but oddly they seem eager to hide from all of the patrons (which is usually less than 3).
Jessica Wohlschlegel: Do not come here for the beer. Not potable.
james “jim” h.: Great smells! The Indian cuisine smell was really pleasant. The just had the beer and enjoyed ourselves.
Elizabeth Gallagher: Updated hours : 3pm for dine in on thursdays
AJ Muusse: Specify that you dont open the brewery until 3pm...
Edward Dixon: Really nice place the smell of Indian cruisine and thebeer and cider is very good. We will return for dinner and drinks.
Ami Diemer: Romantic atmosphere, tasty food, authentic beer!! If you haven't been here, you're missing out!!
Brent Gibson: Meh beer honestly
Heather Bagshaw: They had butter chicken poutine! So good, but the Indian food (I had the saag) was even better! Highly recommend
Nathan Ver Beek: Come here if you want a casual, quiet experience. We miss the fries they used to have, but the beer is always good.
Nicole Rister: Tried this place last night for the first time and it was awesome. We ordered 2 flights and each got an entree. The food was amazing, and the beers were alright. I'm not a big fan of IPAs and most of the beers were pretty hoppy. Overall a great spot though and I will return soon!
bindsay: Food, service, and drinks are great! Get the garlic naan bread, you won’t regret it 😋
Matt Roberts: The beer is terrrrrrrible. Food from Bombay smelled good. Bartender was not very helpful when we asked about specific beers on the limited beer menu.
Keith Rench: Fantastic beer, fantastic food and fantastic people!!! I love sour beer and don't typically like the flavor of peach. They have a peach sour that's too die for! I could drink gallons of it on a hot summer day! I ordered the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan and it was absolutely delicious as well!!! The two servers working were super friendly and very talkative on a night that I wanted to talk. If I lived near here, I'd be here nightly! Do yourself a favor and get in here!!!
Chase Hasper: A great place to grab a unique beer. All of their brews are very flavorful and there are som different flavors that I haven’t seen elsewhere. Just so you know, East West Brewing is located inside of Bombay Cuisine (also delicious!) so you can order Indian cuisine with your beer.
Ryan Nemeth: Great food, extremely friendly staff and.... wait for it.... Great beer... this place has it all!!!
Julie Hauri-Foster: Lovely meal and interesting beer! Very Nice.

Speciation Artisan Ales & Native Species Winery: what do users think?
Aaron LePoire: An amazing little out of the way brewery that has a great selection of unique beers. There is live music on occasion and it's very laid back and less crowded than other spots around the area. It sits back behind another business so it's a little harder to see but that's part of the charm.
COLIN WEDESKY: Great beer with an impressive range from clean beer, world class sours, seltzers, natural wine and wine spritzers!! The best selection west Michigan has to offer in a very chill space. This brewery is a must if you are looking for a good time and a chill space.Support a local food spot and bring something in! Dog friendly on the patio, yo!
Joshua Kingsley: Best true sour brewery in the state
Randi Claybaugh: Perfect for sour beer lovers. Love this place in the summertime.
Mattijs Vormer: This place was fantastic! Before we knew it, we got to taste different wines that were naturally fermented with explanations on the process. Cozy, comfortable place and super nice bar tender, Jane.
Thryn Saxon: This is an incredible brewery with really inventive and delicious brews! Jane was a generous and informative brew manager who educated us on the beers we were drinking and the natural wines. Highly recommend trying both! This feels like a must.
Chase Hasper: This is a relatively small brewery, tucked back off the street. There’s a decent amount of seating for their size and they have a nice little outdoor patio as well. Either in flavor or back story, most of their beer and wines are incredibly unique. They tend to brew things you actually won’t find most other places, which makes them stand out. My guess is you’ll want to grab a flight because you’ll want to try them all!
Leanne Ma: Great beer and really cool atmosphere. All of their merchandise is way too cool, I wanted to buy all of it! The trilobite mural is so awesome!
Crystina: Really cool backyard feel, not too small, amazing variety of wines, beers, and ciders. Clean bathrooms, fast service, friendly staff. Loved the gin barrel aged red wine blend!
Austin Meyer: Pretty cool place, tucked back in their own little area. The inside is pretty rad, good drinks and service. Definitely something to check out.
Alexa Lee: One of the best spots in GR! Appreciate that they are keeping outdoor dining in the winter- an igloo and a couple of benches! The uniqueness of the drinks is so much fun and the service is always great. Absolutely love the Doc Flamingo Peach Neon Smoothie- tastes just like a peach ring!
Renata Cayton: Always a pleasant visit! So many to choose from and recommended, getting a flight to get a taste of all the goodness they have to offer is always a good route to take!
Brittany Grashik: Loved trying the beers and wine here! Lots of sour beers, but they were all so flavorful. Jane was so friendly and gave us a lot of other recommendations to check out around town. Very relaxing atmosphere and fun place to watch the football game.
Hannah Otis: Awesome experience! Great drinks would come here every time we visit.
Kevin Jones: Really cool spot, good sours, RTJ pun named beer, good sours.
Lindsey Barlow: Update: revisiting again a year after my not so great review. Everything we tasted was _phenomenal_. I still don’t understand what went wrong on the first visit. So good!!Previous: My husband and I love sours and wild beers but we did not like 3 out of the 4 beers we sampled (one legit tasted like ammonia). I guess we're in the minority here. /Shrug
Matthew Stoner: I’m not into the sour/saison/farmhouse ale thing personally (clearly their primary styles) but between the wheat ale and lager I drank these folks are clearly competent breweries. If those styles are your thing I can only assume this place should be at the top of your list in MI. I liked the vibe. Open garage door slightly off the beaten path but not way out of the way from a hip little nook of town. Wife enjoyed a gin barrel aged wine as well. All-in-all I’d say it was one of the better brewery options in Grand Rapids
Madcity Stevo: Very cool space with great tasting ales. The ambiance was spot on for the unique and diverse offerings.
Tianyi Lu: An incredible brewery that specializes in wild fermentation/sour beers. They also make some great natural wines as well.
Mark Edly: Without a doubt, this is one of the best breweries in the nation, particularly if you love sours. I lived in Austin for years and frequently visited Jester King (considered the best brewery in Texas). They blow those guys out of the water.
Kristen Curths: I hesitate to let the masses in on our happy little secret of mind blowing concoctions of herbs and spiked drinks, but I will because they deserve the recognition.

Brass Ring Brewing: what do users think?
Brian W (BZER): Had a really good drink called exploding kittens!! Good food.
aaliyah s: exceptional vegan food — wow. pictured is their new menu items, vegan burger and vegan chicken sandwich. fries are superb. highly recommend.
Suzanne Fournier: A great local small brewery will GREAT beer, and a lovely cozy atmosphere. They’ve recently added some vegan options to their menu and they’re absolutely fantastic!
Kristie Michael: Better service than I’ve had in years! Rae was phenomenal! The owner and other staff were outgoing and friendly. Every aspect was far above average (food, beer, atmosphere and staff)! Overall experience was great!
Tyler Eisaman: If you’re looking for top notch beer, excellent service, and a cozy place to grab a drink, then this is the pub for you! Since moving to Grand Rapids two years ago, these are some of the best beers I’ve had. I highly recommend the cask Red or Stout ale. In addition to the exceptional beer, their food is equally as good. Be sure to add this place to your must visit breweries!
trish dagle: Caviat, Very busy place. I don't like it when waiters avoid eye contact when they know you are trying to flag them down. An honest mistake by the hostess left our party sitting for about 15 min before anyone came to the table. In that time the Wait staff ignored my hand motions until I had to raise my voice. The waiter looked annoyed that he had to stop. When the problem was finally solved, he was our waiter and he was attentive as much as he could be on such a busy night (5:30pm). The food was fair. The French Fries were over-fried (all tables had dark brown fries, so this is probably the way they make them) My husband had the Ruben kind of chewy and greasy. I had the Buttered Chicken wrap which was ok, but not much flavor. All in all we won't make an effort to go back, but may try again in the future.
CC: Brass Ring is a great little neighborhood joint. The atmosphere is really inviting and warm. The food is also really good. We love the beer cheese and bangers and pierogi! I wouldn’t recommend the butter chicken naanrito, we found it pretty bland.
Doug Higby: Place was packed but we got seated at the bar. Despite that, we got served in a reasonable amount of time and the food was great!
Samy Morgan: Great little brewery tucked away off 28th street. Lots of British and UK style foods and beers. Service was great (our server was very knowledgeable and personable), beer was fabulous and their beer cheese dip was to die for. Highly recommend the Wilde Red Ale. Looks dark and heavy but is very light and flavorful
Renata Cayton: Was looking for a brewery my husband and I haven't tried and stumbled across this place and boy are we good we did! The beer was fantastic. The food was phenomenal. For a small place, they do what they have very exceptionally. Excited to see what they have awaiting the next time we visit Grand Rapids. Heard they will be start distilling.
TDP: This place is awesome. Visited here from out of town and was blown away. The owner was kind enough to give us a tour and tell us his story as well. Incredible brewery with an incredible owner, make sure you visit!!!
Chris Smith: Great small town brewery with great beer and great people.
Michael: Chris, the owner, was kind enough to give our group a tour of the brewery. Very interesting to learn the history behind the founding and building of the brewery and the brewing process. Food was excellent.
Devin Ryan: I cannot rave about this place enough. Excellent food, friendly and personable staff, and of course excellent beer! Their cask ales are out of this world. The family friendly environment is also a huge plus.
Mark Olds: Always a great time at Brass Ring! Awesome beers and really good food too!
Mitchell Barry: Best brewery in Grand Rapids, hands down.
Davidsonian: The food was killer! The ice shanty we used was warm. It says it seats 4, but I wouldn't attempt it. Great atmosphere and excellent service!
Sean Hawkey: We only stopped in for a few beers after dinner, but I may have found my new favorite spot. The beers I tried were delicious (the Neighborly IPA and the ESB) and unique for their styles. I was especially impressed with the cask conditioned ales they brew (i lived in Bristol, UK for a while and LOVED the cask conditioned ales in the pubs and have been looking for a while to find a place that as them) and I look forward to many more visits to sample all of their wares...
Bob Ward: Brass Ring Brewery is a small family owned, friendly neighborhood brewery and the owners are hands on. The beer selection is excellent and every beer I tried was balanced and flavorful.
Ben Dekker: Very good food, beer, and service.
Thomas Evans: What a great get away from down town. Nice little neighborhood brewery with good variety of beer, nice atmosphere, and nice helpful staff especially Sam G. Good guy.

Brewery Vivant: what do users think?
Brian Hehn: My favorite brewery in GR
Mike Cavanaugh: The duck nachos are too die for
Táňa Rulková: Loved all four beers I tried. Great service and awesome atmosphere!
Madhavi Rao: Friendly staff! We sat at the bar and had an amazing time. The bartenders are super friendly and gave us a lot of tastings. The truffle fries are not to be missed. And of course great beer!!
Matthew Harrell: Brewery Vivant is one of my favorite breweries and one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. I live in Lansing, but I'm in the Grand Rapids area quite a bit during bicycling season.
Vitor Warwar: One of the best beers I ever had. Worth every drop! Well done
Sarah Kinney: Love the atmosphere of this space, super chill, good food and good 🍺
Annie Rehn: The atmosphere was nice, but I had my heart set on the poutine only to find it wasn't regular poutine gravy but a spicy Thai sauce? You couldn't get any substitute gravy. So I thought no problem, I'll get a burger and fries. When I asked for a side of ranch, the server told me they didn't have ranch there. What place doesn't carry ranch? The fries were so salty I could only eat about 1/3. The servers were nice and really attentive, so that's why I gave 3 stars. I really wanted to like this place but won't be back as the menu was a bit bizarre and limited.
KILLy Munster: Went for Weird Beer Weekend. The Weird Beer Flight was interesting & tasty. I had the Farro Salad, it was hearty but my taste buds needed more zip to it. My friend had the burger & fries, enjoyed it.Overall we liked it, service was friendly but extremely slow. Don't think we'll do dinner hours again. Will consider trying lunchtime.
Emily Moore: The atmosphere and food & drinks are great!
Grand Cast: This place is grand! Excellent beer and food made with quality and style. Always satisfying. Can't go wrong with a Farmhand.
Paul Deeds: Very unique atmosphere, bar was established in a former church with stained glass windows. Food was not traditional fair. Prices were reason.
Tom Caldwell: Great beers and atmosphere.
Katherine Johansson: We called ahead to see if their patio was open so we could enjoy some beers with our puppy. They were accommodating and opened the patio just for us so we could enjoy the sunshine and delicious brews. This was exceptional service!
Eddie White: Great location, friendly staff, good food! The beer sometimes I feel like is hitting and I like all of it, and other times it's not as easy, but it is always quality beer.
christian topil: Check #106 server PM T table 21Fantastic service thank you so much I can't wait to come back!
Benjamin Videtich: Love this spot! One my favorites around town.I recently celebrated my birthday at Vivant. They accommodated my little group of 12 with grace and candor.Having requested the beer garden, they were happy to snag a long table for us back where it was quieter. Thanks team! And, as so many other reviews note, the beer and food are excellent. Top notch.
Carlo Adinata: Beautiful brewery, great beers and very friendly staff!
Kimberly Wolbrink: Great service! Great food! Tom was fantastic! Elsie was super as well!
Cory Berends: Excellent selection of beers. Great food Get the duck nachos
Corey Crowley: Our server and beer expert was Jonas. He was very kind, funny and knowledgable. I was with two friends, and we had such a great time. The heated patio was very comfortable, the beer was amazing (the Czech Pilsner poured from a Lukr faucet is a must try) and the appetizers were all incredible!

Schmohz Brewing Co: what do users think?
Becky Knapp: Great brewery! The staff was very friendly and it was a great place to have a beer and relax. They also have house made sodas for kids.
Amy Sapienza: Beer is delicious and the free popcorn compliments the beer and my appetite perfectly.
Tim Lobbezoo: The best place to enjoy some of the best Craft Beer in town.
David Mordell: I went there yesterday to renew my mug. I’m from out of town so do not get here often. Uncharacteristic of them because until now I have been a huge fan for years as i always at least bought beer and growlers whether sat down or not.A few negative things1) I said I was mug member - sorry it’s not on shelf I would have to look for it … she did not want to because she and her friends were watching Christmas movie so I had beer in regular glass. She could have tried to at least give me a mug pour given I PAID for mug membership2) uncharacteristic again I felt very unwelcome as I had to ask yo get service as her back was facing me at bar so she and the regulars can watch movie3) I’m done. I’m not renewing and will never step foot in there again. I guess my mug club purchase was for naught. They could care less if I was there or not. It’s not like there are not other great breweries in Grand Rapids. Have fun with your movie watching.
Brian Hieronymus: Great local experience! Very Friendly
Sean Henry: Nice little brewery.
Kyguy77: Beer is tasty, and the atmosphere is great. It's never loud, and there are games to play as well as popcorn. This is my favorite place to get a drink in Grand Rapids.
Kris Pillar: A small brewery just off the beaten path! The beer is good and the beer tender knows his stuff. There is plenty of space and tables to meet. The brewery has special events.I am able to buy either 6packs or mix and match six packs.Did I forget to mention the beer is good.
nickk05281982: Good beer free pool when we went
Jim McMichael: Wonderful experience there! The beers are full of flavor, that's coming from a guy that doesn't drink a lot of beer. Great owner, and great staff!
Alexander Roemer: Kinda a dump but in a good way
Bob Steele: Great local place. Excellent beer, friendly people, and the free popcorn is a plus.
Tom Sprich: Great beer...fun place.
Timothy Daugherty: Beer was okay.Service was terrible.Food was nonexistent.
Nicole Schneider: Great local bar! Very chill.
S.P. O'Neill (CMDR Polynikes Rex): HopKnocker Imperial IPA.Good beer, but I would not describe it as an IPA. More familiarity to a double bock...
Troy Wilkinson: This is a great laid back scene with a friendly bartender and a wide variety of hand made brews. We popped in to warm up from the cold after hearing about it on Harvest Host and were able to sit and watch the Red Wings play. I really enjoyed the selection and the bartender let us try a few of the beers as we were deciding between 6 packs to take with us. Bathrooms were extremely clean and well decorated.
Edward Dixon: I really enjoy the brews rich and bold. Very clean and crisp. This place is worth a visit for a flight or a pint.
Alan Szagesh: One of the oldest breweries in Grand Rapids. A quiet out of the way spot with a large selection of very good beers.
james “jim” h.: Stopped in here on a weekend during the day and were surprised there was not a crowd. The space is really nice and looks like a great place to hangout. The bartender was very welcoming and a pleasure to talk to. We got flights and tried 10 different beers total between the two if us. We like variety and would have preferred to get a variety six pack but this place only offers full six packs of one flavor so we did flights. A couple were good but we did not care for a couple of the IPAs. Sort of too much syrup flavor. It is three stars from us this time but we would be open to try again.
Robyn Reisner: This place is a gem! Tasty beer and soda served up pleasantly. They have some arcade and board games; and self serve popcorn. The outdoor seating is enclosed and comfortable. We ordered pizza delivery and ate in. I just felt welcomed and at home here. Thanks!

Eurithra P. Daley: A real gem. Great draft beer from Cedar Springs Brewery. The original and dunkel Weissbiers are the best around. Other styles are also outstanding and true to style.Ausgezeichnet!A+🏆
Logan Rogers: Very quaint Munich-style beer hall with fantastic beer and service!
Tyler Stro: Awesome place!!
Alfons Müller: Experience Authentic German Cuisine and Self-Brewed Beer at Küsterer Brauhaus in RockfordWe recently had the pleasure of dining at Küsterer Brauhaus in Rockford, and I must say, it was an awesome experience. This German Brauhaus offers self-service at a huge bar and a big selection of self-brewed beer with German specialties. The different "Weizen" (Modern, Hefe, Dunkel= beers were particularly outstanding. But absolute Highlight: The Maibock. The food menu also had a great selection of bar standards and German specialties. I highly recommend trying the appetizer Brezel with herb butter and mustard, as well as the Kaesespaetzle.Overall, Küsterer Brauhaus is a great way to enjoy authentic German cuisine and beer in Michigan. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, great selection of food and drinks, and excellent service. If you're looking for a place to enjoy German cuisine and beer, I highly recommend checking out Küsterer Brauhaus in Rockford.

Travis Thompson: Had a ton of fun during our first time here! They opened at 8am for the 10am World Cup game, staff was super great and friendly, beer was good, just a great fun atmosphere!Ava’s Pretzel 🥨 Review: 4/5
Jason Kristi Altman: What a great place! I love how they can continue the German theme here and at the original location. I had the West Side Ale and it was fantastic. I would recommend stopping by and checking this gem out! Post!!
Laura Casaletto: A Bridge street joint with good beer, free parking in back, and tolerable numbers of people.
Holger Kuester: Always a pleasure, great staff and wonderful beer.
nickk05281982: Good beer wish they had a kitchen could try some good German food
George Banfill: The beer I had was good, but I felt it lacked choices. And the deli fair that was offered is pre-made sandwiches in a cooler. I didn't care for this option
johann glanzer: Simply awesome and in my mind the best beer in Michigan
James F: Nice decor, good beer, but agree, really needs some german music to complete it. Limited menu, Leberkase sandwich was luke warm, and on a stale hamburger bun….no brotchen sadly
Gary Grose: Great beer. Service was excellent!! Would be going back there again!
Greg H: Wunderbar! This place is a great addition to the Grand Rapids dining scene. A proper German bierhall with phenomenal brews and a communal atmosphere.

Atwater Brewery in GR: what do users think?
Wolfram H.: Popped-in for a quick pint which is ideal for this on the corner drop-in pub at the base of Medical Mile. The Hazelnut Vanilla Java Porter was an excellent choice for a cool evening. Staff was amazing!TIP: To-go containers for beer are available since in a refreshment zone that allows outdoor drinking.
Lilly Baker: I was kind of underwhelmed by this place. I heard about it all the time, but when we went it was super busy, they didn't really have any food options, and the drinks were fine, but nothing super special, especially when there are so many other breweries close by.
Angela Dickey: Shared a Pub Burger. Tasty burger on a yummy pretzel bun. Fries were a little cold. Had the Dirty Blonde which is a nice, easy drinking wheat beer.
Danae Twigg: This has to be the #1 brewery in the city! The food is to die for and the staff is top notch! I'm here at least twice a week and I just can't get enough of the atmosphere! Wish I could give 100 stars! Keep it up (;
Jeremy Mullan: They never answer the phone and they always close at random hours. Also their online ordering app never is open. This place is trash in Grand Rapids
Laura Heinemann: They were out of pizza dough and pizza is like a third of their menu. They smothered my meal in cheddar cheese even though I specified twice for none since I'm lactose intolerant. Had to ask for silverware. Also not at all kid friendly. No kids menu. My son ordered tenders and started screaming when he dipped it in ketchup because they don't have any regular ketchup, just Tabasco chilli ketchup that they make themselves. Food was decent but the inconveniences make it not worth going back to for us.
Kim Ham: We had some time to spare while waiting on a performance at DeVos Place so we stopped for a drink. The atmosphere is good - but was not impressed with the guy who waited on us. You have to place your orders at the bar. The one drink my husband & I wanted had expresso in it and the guy had to check with a co-worker regarding the drink - they told us that they haven't had time to take the drink off the menu because they were out of expresso. So we ordered a different drink and was told it would be right out - the guy went and cleared a table and walked around aimlessly before making our drinks - which he had the other employee make for him - he couldn't even find the drinks we ordered on the menutaker machine. We ordered nachos also - the beer cheese was a little too think and was not warm at all. I think they just threw everything that goes on the nachos cold and sent it out. I highly doubt we will be back.
Maria: Great beer, good environment. Didn’t have any food, but from what I could see, it looked good.
James Vainner: Great Cheese Pizza!!
L P: Haven’t been here however our party of 7 was planning on it before our show at Devos and they close early on Sundays so opted to gather elsewhere. Check the hours first!
Jordan Murdock: To say they had bad service is an understatement. Literally NO service. They have a sign that says all orders must be placed at the bar, but I sat at the bar for a half hour and didn’t get a hello, let alone what can I get you.
Ken Robart: Need more staff for a Saturday afternoon. Need something on the chair legs so they don't make that awful sound when they're pushed up to the table. Loved the beer. Food was okay; not memorable.
Island Ewert: Cool atmosphere
Melissa Hunter-VanPatten: Portion sizes are very small for the high price you paid. DisappointedThey were out of dough for pizzas and bread sticks in a sat afternoon.Staff was nice but the wait time was quite long.
Matthew Hall: Very nice space with plenty of seating, good beer, not great - but I understand that that comment is very subjective - and thus the 3 stars. If Google would let give it 3.5 stars I would. Food was tasty and service fine.
Cheryl Bremer: Love the chip sampler. Wonderful wait staff, so fun and personable! I really enjoy the atmosphere, relaxed and calm, we are able to sit and visit without being rushed.
Mary Benner: Great food, quick service and great friendly staff!
Reese Patino: Great service, nice place. Bartender was very helpful directing me to beers I like.
Titus Bratcher: Can’t miss out on these pizzas, better than most big brands. Washes down excellent with the amazing drinks!
Natalie: Wonderful staff, great foods to try and a warm atmosphere. The pizzas were fantastic!
Stacie Downs: We live in the building and we came down for a couple beers and appetizers for happy hour. Beer was amazing, I had a Dirty Blonde and a Christmas Ale. Fried pickles with the chipotle mayo were good as well. Would definitely recommend checking them out!

Founders Brewing Co: what do users think?
Wolfram H.: Founders never disappoints with their quality of beer, friendly service, and amazing patio. The expanded outdoor patio and indoor/outdoor section is great for the warmer weather. Had the Winnie Stephanie Hefeweizen, hot pretzel, and Vegan Chorizo Wrap which all went together perfectly. Warning, the wrap is spicy. Staff was excellent!TIP: Join the mug club if going to be a regular
G L: I’d add more stars, but ever since this variety pack came out, it makes it THAT much harder to get your hands on the watermelon salt flavor. I already had to wait months for the watermelon green zebra to come out, and now it’s not even available in a pack. JUST The variety pack, and there’s only a couple cans. I’m very disappointed that I can’t buy the watermelon alone. I’ve seen it on tap at random bars but there’s no way to find it. I effing hate that I can’t enjoy the watermelon this season like I SHOULD be able to. FOUNDERS- MAKE IT MORE AVAILABLE!! It’s my favorite!
Paul Sutphin: The devil dancer was amazing and I love almost everything on tap!
Andrew Vaughan: Worst time ever. Came to grab a drink and food two hours before a concert. Took twenty minutes to get drinks served. Thirty minutes to get our food order in. Had to go to the bar to get the second round.
mark briolat: Best Detroit brewery. RIP
Newman Family Dental: After a full day of learning at the Michigan Dental Association annual conference, we stopped by Founders and had a hard time choosing which brew to try! Everything tasted great and the pretzels were a perfect complement to … eh.. each pint… 😊 If you have plans to visit Grand Rapids, I would definitely make time to stop here for a meal and a pint.
Bernie Gosline: Walked in and was seated right away. That’s about all the I can say. We were ghosted for the next 25 minutes so we walked out.
Fausto Frassino: Un ipa a tutti gli effetti
Sarah Mustain: We came in and got seated 20 minutes ago and have not had a single server come to our table despite several servers wandering the taproom. I understand being understaffed but that is not the case here, even if it were not being addressed at all is a huge problem. If you don't have enough servers to handle the whole restaurant, don't seat the whole restaurant.
Wendy Parson: Great beer, nice outdoor space!
Mark Olds: Still one of my favorites in Grand Rapids! Beers never disappoint and the food is always delicious!
Kyle Goschnick: Beer is good
Nathan: Came here to celebrate 40th birthday. What a disappointment. 2.5 hour wait to finally be told our order wouldn't be completed by manager. Our non existent server clearly didn't care either. Other tables were in the same boat as us. Disappointed :-/
Jean Valerio: The receiving guys always unload fast in less than 30 minutes! 5 start for you guys!Jean ValerioSame Day Delivery Driver
Muluye Sintayehu: The best beer
Lisa Johnson: My husband got me a crowler of Blushing Padre. This is incredible!! I love the salt finish on what was already a great beer. It finished from great to amazing!!! I told him we need to go next weekend, eat, and bring home more 🍺
Cliff Roberts: If in Grand Rapids this is a must for the experience. If you are looking for a really unique brewery this won’t be the place for you but as much of their beer is available nationwide they have done a great job at consistency in their taste. All the beers I tried were delicious as expected from here. Make sure to get here early as this is a tourist destination and will fill up quickly. We couldn’t find seating inside but they still had patio seating available. Really great spot.
Nicole Chalou: Our tour with Kyle was fantastic 10/10 would recommend
Dylan Pfingsten: Always great food and drinks. One of the biggest beer menus around. Staff is friendly and helpful
Ryan Lardino: Brewery tour was very good. Red's rye and rubaes nitro are cool pickups that aren't available everywhere.
Aaron Chapman (geekdetective): Wonderful Brewery with great craft beer and food. But, beware of the GR wolves prowling around the area waiting to pounce on any car that is 5 seconds past the 1 hr parking limit. I called the City and asked why their parking program didn’t allow me to extend my 1 hr limit. They said I had to go out and move my car to another parking space. I’m sure Founders would love seeing customers running out of the restaurant to move their car every hour. GR’s parking app is set up to alert them when a spot is about to expire, thus maximizing their revenue.
