Alex Deruiter: This is by far my favorite floral shop in town. They are so helpful and patient! From my experiences here, they take as much time as necessary to make sure you get what you need. The staff are so knowledgeable! I showed a picture of an arrangement of flowers to one of the employees, and she could name every single flower that was in the picture. This was particularly impressive, as I had absolutely no idea what I was looking for.If anyone is looking for guidance on quality/thoughtful gifts, I would absolutely recommend Ball Park Floral.

Colton Griffin: I went to Thelma’s Flowers today because I got screwed over by a floral delivery company and needed a bouquet for my anniversary dinner tonight. I don’t know much about flowers so I was nervous to select my own flowers for the bouquet, but Kelly was an absolute angel and helped me build the perfect bouquet for my girlfriend. She wrapped it herself and told me how to take care of the flowers before giving them to my girlfriend. Kelly was extremely sweet and took amazing care of me and we had a great conversation about our families and relationships. I will be coming back to get more flowers for Valentine’s day. Deana Goldin: After a series of difficult transactions followed by a disastrous experience with a major internet florist, I had all but given up sending my dear friend an annual Birthday bouquet. My last try was to look for a local florist in Grand Rapids. I was floored. There was only one florist in the city whose style was not identical to all the others I had ever seen. Only one florist who Had style, as a matter of fact. Creative, beautiful, unique...that's Thelma's Flowers signature style. Further, in dealing with Kelley, I had the pleasure of speaking to a florist who feels strongly about the importance, the value, the power and grace, the Aliveness of flowers and how they convey emotion from the florist to the sender to the receiver. My friend, who was thrilled to receive them, also told me the Delivery was conducted with considerate concern for the flowers and herself, the driver taking great pains to insure the bouquet arrived in peak condition. The condition of the flowers was, in fact, so Peak that, having been delivered on November 10th, they were still gorgeous on the 22nd, when she sent me a picture! Don't bother with anyone else, go to Thelma's, There's no one anywhere nearly as good.

Eileen Pool: I called Thelma’s on a Saturday afternoon after 3 and spoke with Kelley. I told her about my flower emergency (entirely my own fault) and she was so kind! Even though they were closing soon, she agreed to make my arrangement and have it delivered to the hospital—she said, “it’s the right thing to do,” when I thanked her. She told me what flowers they had in stock and we chose them over the phone. I’m in another state, so won’t have any pics to post, but Thelma’s Instagram page has pictures of their gorgeous flowers. Lance Reis: I can’t recommend Thelma's Flowers enough!!! I live in Portland, Oregon now but spent a year in Michigan. My fiance needed a last minute birthday gift for her friend in Grand Rapids so we searched best flower shops in Grand Rapids and called 4 other local florists.None of them could make a flower arrangement on such short notice. Although defeated and depressed we decided to call one more flower shop and as luck would have it Kelly answered. Luckily for us Kelly was thrilled to help! She didn’t turn down a single request AND they even delivered the arrangements that same day! Not only that but when they went to deliver the flowers she wasn't home so instead of leaving them they came back and delivered them later that evening.I have seen some pretty impressive floral arrangements in my day but I’ve never seen another florist in Grand Rapids that can take flowers and create an arrangement like Kelly at Thelma's Flowers. I really love her avant-garde aesthetic. It’s so different from all the other local flower shops.Customer service was great and their prices are very affordable! My fiances BFF was not only surprised but in love with the bouquet. I've added photos she sent us. She said she especially loved how elegant and fresh the flowers were. N Dykema: Not only do they supply the coolest flowers around(Some look like they could be straight out of a Dr. Seuss book), but they make beautiful Bouquets and provide awesome customer service. With very short notice they built a beautiful Bouquet of flowers that I was giving to a friend after the loss of her mother, and because I was unable to pick them up they delivered them to her door....on a day they were closed. They are good friends of mine and I have zero qualms driving out of town to be able to secure flowers from them. They are 2nd to none! Thanks Thelma's Flowers!!!
Faith Huisman: Accidentally left a poor review by complete accident thinking this was a different shop… I feel so bad because that’s the complete opposite of the truth. It’s stunning. Every piece of it is lovely and the owner is such a gem. You can tell how much she sincerely cares about what she does and the people she interacts with daily. The flowers she orders in are lovely and everything is made with such an intentional personal touch… even walking in the area you can tell how much of an impact it’s made on the community. I got a call from their delivery driver on 11/18/22 that he had attempted delivery on 11/18/22 and since no one was at home had returned them the shop. At this point I have no idea of if the flowers will be delivered nor when. I did notice that they didn't refund the cost of the flowers. There was no notice that they'd be delivering early, and only called once the driver had already returned to the shop.These flowers were for a birthday that now is spoiled.

I came here to look for tulips for my sister for mother's day and ended up getting her a fern and two tulips and another little flower that will grow annually. I understand why he loved it so much. I've been missing him so much lately and when I walked in this girl named Addie (sp) helped us pick out tulips and I told her that my uncle loved this place and started crying like an idiot. I felt bad for crying. She was so helpful and sympathetic. I love her soul. She said they had ferns in the way back and suggested I get my sister one. I forgot about them until I thought about my uncle and forgot she loved them too. This place is amazing the people and the prices are amazing.

M: owner discriminates against disabled people, and her own employees. have heard about this on multiple neighborhood groups. owner is just plainly rude. horrid customer service and just unbearably unpleasant overall. DONT GO HERE. there are plenty of way better places for way better prices.
