Aaron Merritt: 1st Visit: Yes, first, because after that there will be more. Lady running the place when I went it was amazing and helpful. I didn't see exactly what I was looking for on the menu so just kind of gave a vague description of what I wanted (kind of like a sampler platter of the fish) she asked a few questions on seasoning, fry types etc and was off. 10 mins later she came back with a basket of fresh hot fish and a side of fries! All for 6.50$! Doesn't the local coffee cost more than that these days?Anyway, 6.50$ the fish was amazing, the season was amazing, the crust was perfect, the fish was flaky and juicy and perfect and the "lunch basket" was just the perfect amount to NOT knock me out for the rest of the day while still filling me up. Also, I'm a big criticizer of most tartar sauces and usually have them throw in another sauce on the side just in case. I'm here to say, theirs definitely stands alone. It's a winning sauce. This place is doing everything right and like the review started, there will be future visits!Great job guys and gals.

They were made to order fresh, well seasoned , and delicious! We also got the lemon pound and caramel cakes both moist and delicious as well. The service was EXCELLENT! We definitely will be going back!

Jackie Shollack: I have wanted to eat here for a long while and tonight we stopped. During they day they serve fish which is what I originally wanted but the bbq turned out to be fantastic. We ordered the rib tips, pulled pork sandwich, fries and a side of Mac n cheese. It was all really really good. The staff was so friendly, we will definitely go back! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I love that there are a variety of seasoning flavors to choose from just to keep things interesting. This little place doesn't look like much at first glance, but it's our best little gem of a find!

Now our last couple of times, it has not been the same. 6 months ago or so we went and ordered a special that was for two people that you got an entree from just a few selections which did sound good, then you also got salad, and dessert. Our entrees both were not nearly up to their usual excellent food. The meat seemed dry and we both felt that it was like the food had been prepared ahead because this was their special to make sure they had plenty ready. Now we went again a week ago and had a reservation which is great because few places take reservations anymore. We walked in and it was so full of people waiting to get in and you could overhear that they the majority had a reservation too. We waited 50 minutes to get in with a reservation, and then the service was very slow, and the food took a long time to get to our table. Definitely not up to their past standards for food and service.

Although he was an attraction, it was the food that was the star. And the star remains the same. My favorite has always been the lake perch. But there is nothing on the menu I have not enjoyed. Faith B: The smelt and fries dinner option is awesome taste wise and fresh. They pull the seafood out of a case in the front of the shop, weigh it, and cook to your preference. Lots of Togo orders getting pickup so if your not eating outside the market than place your order on the phone or you’ll be waiting extra time. Prices are slightly high and if you pay via card there is no spot for a tip….. so make sure you bring cash for a tip.
