Patricia Woodhull: Called for toilet replacement and they were there the next day. Basement bathroom. Service was great as usual, price was reasonable. Penning is our go to plumbing company.
David Kiesel: Wife set up appointment for an estimate for electrical work. Wanted to switch to electric range. Nice man came to do estimate. We never heard another word from them. No follow up what so ever. Must have been too small of a job for them.
Todd Hill: Do not underestimate the importance of gas. Most people think about water when they think of plumber. My gas lines for my new washer needed to be replaced. It was a rigged copper tubing that needed to be replaced. He installed a brand new utility sink, put on brand new washer hookups and put in the new gas line. The entire project was done in a matter of a few hours and it was done perfectly. Get Adam if you can.

Joanne Eighmey: What did I not like about this business? Poor customer service and appearance of deception were not listed! I would recommend that you look elsewhere for plumbing work from this company. Giving this company a one star rating only because of the performance of the water heater itself - not for the benefit of the company. We were in a tight spot and they took a costly advantage of it. We had a leaky water heater issue that escalated rapidly and we had to turn water off for a few days. They came and told us of different levels of service for which we chose the lowest possible level - with a quote of just shy of $4000 - to replace a water heater!! The work was performed while I was at work (my husband was home). Everything looked all shiny & new. I was a bit alarmed with the final price tag so I called the company and asked if I could have an itemized statement. The manager was quite rude and asked what I was going to do with it. I told him that I wanted it for my records & he informed me they didn't give out itemized statements. He told me we received everything that we had signed up for & eventually, he hung up on me after I told him I thought we had a right to know what we paid for. No transparency gave me the impression he may be trying to keep something from us because of his unwillingness to discuss it further. Felt taken advantage of. He wasn't willing to and didn't even try to explain WHY the cost was so high. Poor customer care & service.Service:Water heater installation

Had 4ft piece of 2 inch pvc pipe approximately $15.00 at Home Depot 1 pvc fitting approximately $5.00 at Home Depot and a rubber boot maybe $10.00 and a $2.00 hanger . Made 1 cut with saw took total of about a half hour . Cost just shy of $500.00 and that was the bronze package. Gold package was just shy of $1000.00 . That comes out to a labor rate of about $900.00 per hour. I understand they need to make money. Probably could have hired the government to fix it for less with 5 other people standing around.

There are many issues I could mention—like the fact that they sent the same technician to our house as an AC expert one day and a plumbing expert a different day—but perhaps the biggest problem is their pricing scheme. Actually, it’s more of a scam than a scheme.Before they fix anything, they want you to pre-pay for a level of service out of three levels. The higher levels are said to include something related to longevity of the fix and a guarantee. Amazingly, no matter what level you select, they find something else that “isn’t included” once they start. Zero transparency in what you pay and what you get.Thanks, Penning, for reminding me how much I hated this experience by sending me junk mail every month with my name spelled wrong. Heather Wallace: I called this company because they had a sticker on the furnace from before we bought our house. Our furnace stopped working so they came out promptly, looked at the furnace and was told that a blower was the problem and it would be $1100 to repair. Perfect- they fixed it that day and the furnace started working. For 24 hours. Then it stopped again. I called them and they sent a tech out that day who said it will be another $1000 to fix it. I called and asked why this wasn't fixed the first time they were out? The lady who answered the phone said she would call be back "when she could give more educated answers and so I sound like I know what I'm talking about" and did about an hour later. She basically said I was a liar, that I was told about this problem along with the one that was fixed and that I declined to fix it, and there was nothing else that they could do for me. Well, she was right about one thing which is there is nothing that they will be doing for me. I feel like I was taken advantage of and if I could give them less then one star I would.

Benjamen Gosset: FYI after posting this review the tried paying me to take it down, makes you wonder why they have such good reviews? Very very over priced. They charged $210 just to show up and look at the problem. Beware. They wanted $525 to change a spigot that cost $30 and would take maybe 30mins. Also quoted almost $400 to change a connection joint. Don't not use them they will over charge you.

Larry Sellers: Late for appointment and never communicated it. "Fixed" my mother-in-laws drain and it was clogged again within 2 days. Had another company come a couple weeks ago and it's been fine since. The employee from Bergsma was rude was onsite for less than 1/2 hour but still charged over $300. They seemed to only care about getting the bill paid immediately and not with addressing our concerns. Stay away from this company!

He ended up coming to survey once, recommended a different solution to our problem that didn't require his services, instead he referred us and didn't charge us for the visit. Justin Kimura: West Michigan Gas Piping installed my pool heater as part of my pool build with Fox Pools. The tech who did the work was professional, courteous, and completed a flawless install. A few months later, my heater started whistling right before we were schedule to close for the season. Chris came out the very next day and quickly diagnosed a rogue vine that had someone climbed its way into the air intake orifice. I felt silly for something so simple, but Chris showed me how to prevent it again and didn’t charge for the visit. I most highly recommend Chris and his team for any gas related work.

Joe Barone: I can't express how happy I was to find West Michigan Gas Piping. Working with the whole team was a great experience. I called them first and got a response in the evening between 5-7pm. I got a quote for a gas line for my garage and gas log fireplace. I talked with Walt who was able to answer all my questions give me a quote and tell me the cost per foot. I'm not going to lie I called around and these guys were responsive and up front. Already off to a great start better than the other guys. So I setup a date and time. On the day of the install Chris let us know he was running behind. Once Chris arrived he got to work and was very professional. After everything was done he also let us know that we may want to contact the gas company to check the main valve coming into the house because it wasn't shutting off all the way during the install. I recommend West Michigan Gas Piping. If you need anything from outdoor to indoor gas lines, fireplace hookups, or anything else gas related these are your guys. I wish I could give them a 20/10 for everything. Will definitely use them in the future and recommend to friends and family

We called on a Friday an evening and we were able to get Chris out to our home on Saturday morning. Chris was quick and communication was great so we knew when he would arrive. Benjamin Hodges: Technician came to the house and gave a quote to replace an old sink with a new one that we already bought. The quote: $1,700. To replace a sink and faucet that we already had. That. Is. Ridiculous. When we said we didn't think that was anywhere near a fair price, he got all defensive and rude. He also said it was a double basin sink when it was clearly a single basin sink. No way were we going to pay anywhere near that amount for an install, but even if the price was fair, we wouldn't give him money when he couldn't even tell the difference between a single and double basin sink.
