Grand Rapids Public Library: what do users think?
Judiah Taylor: Cool experience
Lynn Strough: Thank you so much for all that you do! I especially want to thank employees Sam Easter & Atti Betts for assisting me - they were wonderful! I needed some last minute prints for a project, and was having some trouble figuring it out, and they stepped right up and helped me immensely. It’s so great to run across people with such great customer service skills. Keep doing what you’re doing there, it’s much appreciated!!
Miranda DeZeeuw: Fantastic library. Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Huge selection of books, materials, events, and resources for the community. An absolutely gorgeous building too.
James: It's a quiet place to go to to study, read, or use the computer... The staff are very knowledgeable, helpful , and willing to help out 8n any that they can... The service is very respectful and plentiful...
Rob T: So for my first time at the library I was on my way out with a friend, went to the elevator and hit floor 1, and went to the basement without hitting the LL button and we got stuck in the elevator for like 10 minutes, 5 minutes just me and my buddy then luckily a maintenance man heard me singing " hello, is it me your looking for, I see it in your eyes" then he popped up got in the elevator, so we had to explain what happen and the door shut, then we were really stuck with him, if he didn't get a bar on his phone it could of been a panic issue but his co worker came to the rescue on the outside of the elevator got us out and on our way to the back elevator for the loading dock. Holy cow was a crazy time. Survived a Elevator Crisis. Now I use the steps even though it hurts badly to use them, not chancing lol.. but beautiful place, and such friendly staff that help get you what you need or in the direction you need. Thank you all
Zach Morrison: Great place to hang out and spend time with kids
Lauren Patchett: My favorite library. Everyone is helpful and the selection is great!
Price -: To the self-righteous, holiers-than-thou complaining about the "homeless"... there may be a few, in the Public Library, but it is a huge multi-level building with plenty of empty tables to sit away from those you disapprove of. Go buy your own library. This one is clean, safe, and beautiful.
Rainy: Great community space and learning opportunities. The staff are always welcoming and helpful, and there are so many great resources to be found. Very inclusive and accepting of all people, and the main branch is pretty wheelchair friendly. And, of course, they have great books.
Damir “Grof” Kesar: One of the largest libraries in GR area, well stocked and with a lot of programs you would not expect at a library.Definitely recommend coming here.
QL QL: Not impressed overall. Homeless people live there. The old section (high ceiling like church) looks impressive but is still under renovation.
Rebecca Carrier: Great community resource and a wonderful selection of used books, DVDs, and CDs for sale on the 3rd floor for cheap
Benjamin Stitt: They have lots of books. It's quite wonderful.
j.j. bobasho: Found what I went looking for, plus learnt how to read microfiche (: thank you!
Daniel S: The library itself and the staff are very nice, but the homeless bums make it difficult to stay for long. They smell really bad! They talk to themselves, or others; sometimes loudly. The bathrooms they use for long periods of time. I see them eating, sleeping, shaving, and other weird things. But my biggest complaint is they smell!
Meghan S: Grand rapids has an expansive and impressive public library system! The app is easy to use, the branches are conveniently placed around town, the staff are always welcoming and kind, and I appreciate library efforts to get involved in the communities of GR. The main library is beautiful and I could get lost looking at all the books and city records. Thanks GR for providing the public with an excellent library service!
Krystah Renee Mentser: Very beautiful library. Loved the booksale!book sale! We WILL be back if they do it again!
Cidette Gilmer: Building of knowledge 🤓
Antonio Parker: Come absorb good fun and family
Joshua McAlpine: Great public library. Lots of kids stuff and food cultural events
Megan Rose: Absolutely nice people the lady's I dealt with were very kind, caring & helpful I was able to get my business taken care of for free that was a blessing

Roman Catholic Diocese of Grand Rapids: what do users think?
AnnMarie Wubbeling: There's also a Catholic gift shop here!
Isamarie Montañez: Great activities at the CIC
Keith Longhurst: I go to the infusion center. Always clean open nice security staff.
Kimberly Walters: I have been there a few times as a guest for classes and events. The staff is very helpful and the events they have and classes they offer are free of charge. I encourage anyone to go to a class or event to grow in your faith as a Catholic or of another faith. You will leave there happy that you did. The Cathedral of St. Andrew is a couple doors down and has Mass times that are convenient for just about any schedule.
Diane Beckwith: Was there to pick up an order at the bookstore. Always friendly and courteous staff.
Heather S.: I don't know much about it.
Mike Henry: Very kind mother was in hospital. Father Robert's kindly went in a moment's notice but spectrum denied him from seeing my mother in hospice care.
Deborah Williams: Great place to visit. All business greapt service
Martín Roldán: Ubicación, muy limpio, muy buenas enseñanzas
Nate: Easy parking area and excellent conference rooms. Beautiful building inside and out. Lots of interesting art as well.
Lindsey K: Beautiful building. Great conference set up and catering.
Heather Sosnowski: This A Beautiful, Uplifting, Positive Area In The Inner City Area. It Brings Light, Hope, Faith & A More Positive Glow To The Atmosphere That Area Of Grand Rapids. It's By Far The Most Holy Architectural Structure In A Mile Radius
Katrine Coleman: Awesome very welcoming environment friendly staff
William Cook: Mav
Bob Reichert: Nice place.
Guero Rodriguez: The security guard is wonderful!
Lindsey Kooiker: Beautiful space.
Tania Castilhos: Very nice environment. Lots of space for meetings and training.
Billiam VanderVliet: For a place of Christ your security is incredible rude and disrespectful. I was lost in hope of finding Gods Kitchen, was told I was on private property, told him I’d gladly leave but asked if he could direct me towards Gods kitchen, he told me it was blocks down the street (it was across the street) so I said “isn’t that it across the street? I thought maybe this was the parking lot for it.” He begins to tell me I’m being an “ass” for not leaving and calls on his radio to “call grpd, we have a trespasser” and begins to take pictures of my vehicle. If somebody in charge could please get back to me id like to have a conversation with somebody in charge.
Deborah Kassuba: A beautiful cathedral. The 10 a.m. mass has the choir. Fr. Geaney is a great homilist.

Kent District Library - East Grand Rapids Branch: what do users think?
Jacob Stillson: The staff were great on all my visits. They called me before I got home to let me know I dropped my library card. Great folks and coffee is available for $1. Nice view, plenty of seating, cool kids stuff on the lower level.
Gerald Harris: Great place to focus and study.
kayy lee: Went here to get my new library card & check out a book. The guy who helped me was so nice! Explained all the benefits like audiobooks I can access with my card. I used to go to KDL when I was younger & it’s so nice seeing people in the library & lots of new book selections. Definitely will be going more now :)
DSR: This library is fine, my review is for KDL as a whole. There are no late fees, which is great for irresponsible patrons. Unfortunately now nobody returns their items on time. Pair that with the fact that KDL doesn't have enough copies of the classics and you often have several people waiting a long time with holds on these important books. Either bring back the late fees or invest in more copies of the classics. If you don't know which books are classics, then being a librarian is probably a poor choice for you. Referencing the Mensa Excellence in Reading lists would be a good start.
Benjamin Hirsch: Holy grail of holy grails
Sara S.: A larger KDL library branch. I really enjoy it because there are tons of spaces to sit if you’re working or studying.
Matthew Aguilar: An amazing resource for anybody. Everything is free and the atmosphere in all the branches is very welcoming and helpful.
Emily Moore: This library has a great view and is always super quiet. I love the study rooms available.
Steve Grody: Amazing place. Great kid zone downstairs. Hoping they can get some shade up on the roof deck
Dikkk Mower: Always a pleasure to visit this branch on the lake.
Neil Carlson: Libraries in general are invaluable. This one is also marvelously beautiful. Sit on a bench to read by the lake on a warm summer's eve, or sit in a comfy chair by the big plate glass windows and watch the lake from cozy indoors on a cold winter's day.
Kris Shannon: Great branch, staff always nice. Local history room makes this one even more unique. Good array of services.
Lina Herrera: Big, calm, gentle service
Laura Casaletto: Write your novel here! Posh, wonderful views, kid space is full of toys and xeroxes are free.
Alexander Paul: Watch people from the neighboring yacht club sail and boat while you are in a beautiful library with floor to ceiling windows. Awesome place
Leah Cordes: A wonderful library. Spacious and friendly staff. I lucked out and there was a book sale!! Nice that it's on the lake and Reeds Trail!
Jake Bailey: Great place to visit!
Denise Mondor-Gavern: They didn't have any of the books I was looking for. Very disappointed.
Carol Dykema: They were supreme. They were open when all Grand Rapids branches were closed for Thursday and Friday and they also offered free copy and fax service!!I had to get some information to the UIA and this library was a godsend. My only other choice was huge fee at Fedex or similar business for fax and copy services. They charge $1.99 per page for faxing.
Harvey Muller: It is great to be in a library again after a year of COVID pandemic. This is a wonderful, small but satisfying library. f they
D Minerov: Very nice Library. Excellent view of Reeds Lake. Quiet inside, respectful people. Nice place to read and access info. City office shares building. Parking is limited near building.
