Nicholas Neumann: Joined a hockey league and needed gear. I had no idea about any of the equipment I needed. We went through skate fitting (they have a machine for skate fitting), trying on pads and answering any questions I had. It wasn't cheap, but if you are new to hockey, having someone that knows what they are talking about is better than guessing and buying used equipment from the internet.
Nate Miller: We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon because my son's skates were getting too small. They were really busy with only two people working. Although Kyle was doing 3 fittings at the same time we received excellent attention and he was adamant my son got the best fitting skates for his feet (even after I told him I was willing to spend more money)! Perani's bakes and sharpens their skates for free so you are ready to hit the ice. Thanks for another great experience, Kyle!

Tyler Abbott: Went in to get some new skates and Dylan was very kind and helpful! He knew his stuff and helped me find the right skates for my feet.
Trevor Sundelius: I worked with the owner, his son, and another young man at On Your Game. I was given some old hockey equipment by my old man and wanted to salvage what I could. I asked Troy (owner) a few questions on the phone and said I could bring my bag in and we would go through each part one-by-one. I ended up getting fitted for brand new, budget-friendly but good-value True Hockey skates, some gloves (also warmed to help break in), and suggested me away from a more expensive, but overkill stick for a wooden stick as I'm just getting back into the game which just made more sense. I'm a beginner and don't need $3k of hockey stuff! Came back in the next day and got fitted for a helmet and the employee was super friendly and made sure I had everything I needed before leaving again. I am going back (further drive than other closer stores) just for this kind of service for all of my hockey needs from now on.
Nate Miller: Ordered a team jacket on 8/12/2021 (171 days ago) for my son's hockey season. With 3 weeks left in the season I still don't have it. I asked about the order in December and I was told "times are tough man". Now I can't get a reply to my order email asking for a refund. If the jacket is still not in stock from the supplier why not just refund the money?

Benjamin Rine: I went to On Your Game yesterday and was looking for hockey skates. I have a service-connected foot injury that makes it difficult to find skates that do not cause pain. I was greeted by Travus, and his father Troy, they are both polite and I felt very welcome. Troy fitted me for some skates. Troy was able to look at my feet and find a pair of skates that fit well. He baked them and formed them to my feet, and I could not be happier! I highly recommend On Your Game. I have been playing hockey for 25 years and appreciate great product selection and especially the high level of customer service. Very glad I can get back on the ice, thanks to Troy, Travus, and Tori.
Matt Colvin: Staff in the shop is great, but orders for team gear have been awful. I can't blame them for issues with product backorders, but their communication is terrible. Products ordered in July and after nearly 4 months of no information nor receiving any of the products I had to reach out. I received one of the items, but now 6 months later still missing 2 items (a t-shirt and long-sleeve shirt) and no word on when to expect them. Emails to the store have gone unanswered.

Kevin Rop: The best in town... We have purchased the last 4 pair of skates along with helmets, bags and other merchandise from OYG. They are always very helpful and willing to go the extra lap to get things just right. A classic example of good service with this latest purchase of skates. My son has always worn super feet insoles in his skates, so I mentioned that we would want them again. Dylan placed a few different ones under my sons foot and determined that with his odd shaped arch they may not be the best choice, then made some recommendations on alternatives if needed down the road. They could have easily just sold them to me but would rather have the fit be right than make a buck. Honesty and integrity that's what a good business is founded on. Thanks again OYG!Update 11/14/19 We had a small manufacture issue with the skates we purchased from OYG. Troy and the team at OYG helped resolve the issue quickly and we were able to get him back on the ice without missing a single game or practice. This is exactly why I will continue to buy from OYG. The guy measured to make sure that blade was level after his 1st pass, and used oil on his final pass. Took the time to make sure that my teenager was properly sized on the equipment we bought...
Paul Hockey: Happen to be in the area and stopped at the Patterson Rink where I met store owner Troy.What fantastic establishment he has and with a must see mini hockey hall of fame museum..... and not just a display, he can tell you the history of each piece of memorabilia.The store itself was fully stocked with all sizes of equipment and ready to go for either a last minute purchase or the full outfit for the season.I’m very glad I happened upon this store and would recommend to anyone either passing though as I was or those needing equipment.

Someone else was working and she tried to turn me away without even checking it out. She wasn't making an effort and wasn't even nice about it.She also had to ask me if it was a tee. She didn't know. Then, didn't even look it up in the computer. I had to ask her to do her job.Asked for an extra dollar due to the bad customer sevice but she refused. Rude twenty something with shoulder length brown hair and glasses.She told me she was a manager. I left and won't be back. So tired of rude and lazy customer service. The other guy I talked to last week was great. Still,I can't do business with disrespectful people.

Amy Gross: So I found what I wanted on their website and it said it was in stock. Unfortunately it was available "in store only" but when I got to the store they didn't have it at all. I hate their website! It is so inaccurate.
Skip Spencer: Clearance racks posted all items $14.95 or less. Not the case, as MOST items were priced above $15. Bought it to the attention of an employee, but just got some lame excuse about to many clothes, blah, blah, blah.
Michele Redden: Was not at all happy, I do see why the mall is practically empty when you enter a store and you're followed from rack to rack. Is this your stores policy for everyone or just people of color.
Jim Burns: I love this place, great employees, helpful, knowledgeable, well stocked store. I thought cabelas was good, I was mistaken. Cabelas is broken in the technology area, web site, app, in store tech and you get to wait alot there. Dunhams is quick and a pleasure to do business with.
Kevin Bradley: Nice store with decent selection. However, did not appreciate the rude security guard or employee in the store (not exactly sure what his role is) who came and stood in the aisle while I attempted to try on jackets. When asking him if he knew the location of a mirror, he seemed to get even more agitated with me. I would encourage Dunhams management to foster a more inviting environment for customers. Understand that theft is a major issue but not all of us are looking to steal merchandise. I actually ended up purchasing the jacket. However, I likely will not return.

Brian Crawford: The weekday crowd is little. I was there for: trail run shoes, yeti, treadmill. They have a great selection of shoes. Help you fit them and see your best size. The yeti I was after... They have them all... But... The treadmills... They have a lot of rich people treadmills... But I just started running. 200 miles. Anyways... They only had one I would buy. But at 700 bucks and 2.5 hp engine it was a deal. Did not look at clothes. The whole middle of store is jam packed with clothes.
Danielle: Very frustrating experience. Had an online order it pick up… drove from out of town to get it after they confirmed that it was on the shelf still waiting for us. Got there… it’s gone. Nothing was refunded as promised. Basically, lost $25 and driving time/gas money for absolutely nothing. They’re totally disorganized and promises not kept.

Micaela Ontiveros: I placed an online order and received an email stating the shoes were no longer in stock. I called the Grand Rapids location to double check and I received confirmation that the shoes were in stock. Along with confirming they were in stock, the associate confirmed the size, color, and overall design of the shoes and stated he brought them up to the front desk and Customer Service would be able to assist. Given that I do not live in the area I wanted to double check prior to making the drive and I was given confirmation all would be good to go.Upon arriving to the store the associates that helped stated the shoes were not in stock and I would have to connect with customer service if I would like a refund.I do not need a refund however I’m annoyed that I asked to confirm the shoes were in stock so I did not waste time driving, and that’s exactly what happened. I understand errors happen but do not tell me that you have the shoes in hand and you’re taking them to customer service for when I arrive and then tell me they’re not in stock.

Justin: Prices are usually a tad higher than other stores, but with coupons it often makes up for it. They usually have very friendly staff and have a lot of other things that even larger stores may not have in stock. Nice little spot that I have shopped at for many years!
Mike Trujillo: Horrible store and service. They have clowns running the store that don't even know gun laws in their own state. Very disappointed because they had a rifle that I wanted to buy, but they are too stupid to make a sale. So their loss. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Al Kach: We were directed to pick up some extra gear and the GVSU Lax player - store associate was very helpful by showing and explaining to my son. Place was laid out well with much of what you need for travel, school teams, etc. Goalie Gear selection has not only increased yet improved tremendously. They also have the availability to restring your lacrosse heads. Definitely Call as they should have what you need. Highly Recommended.
