Jim Burns: I love this place, great employees, helpful, knowledgeable, well stocked store. I thought cabelas was good, I was mistaken. Cabelas is broken in the technology area, web site, app, in store tech and you get to wait alot there. Dunhams is quick and a pleasure to do business with.

However, did not appreciate the rude security guard or employee in the store (not exactly sure what his role is) who came and stood in the aisle while I attempted to try on jackets. When asking him if he knew the location of a mirror, he seemed to get even more agitated with me. I would encourage Dunhams management to foster a more inviting environment for customers. Understand that theft is a major issue but not all of us are looking to steal merchandise. I actually ended up purchasing the jacket. However, I likely will not return.

Brian Crawford: The weekday crowd is little. I was there for: trail run shoes, yeti, treadmill. They have a great selection of shoes. Help you fit them and see your best size. The yeti I was after... They have them all... But... The treadmills... They have a lot of rich people treadmills... But I just started running. 200 miles. Anyways... They only had one I would buy. But at 700 bucks and 2.5 hp engine it was a deal. Did not look at clothes. The whole middle of store is jam packed with clothes.

I called the Grand Rapids location to double check and I received confirmation that the shoes were in stock. Along with confirming they were in stock, the associate confirmed the size, color, and overall design of the shoes and stated he brought them up to the front desk and Customer Service would be able to assist. Given that I do not live in the area I wanted to double check prior to making the drive and I was given confirmation all would be good to go.Upon arriving to the store the associates that helped stated the shoes were not in stock and I would have to connect with customer service if I would like a refund.I do not need a refund however I’m annoyed that I asked to confirm the shoes were in stock so I did not waste time driving, and that’s exactly what happened. I understand errors happen but do not tell me that you have the shoes in hand and you’re taking them to customer service for when I arrive and then tell me they’re not in stock.

Apparently they do this Injury Wise clinic every Wednesday 5:45 to 6:45p on a first come, first serve basis - - for free! I had Michelle, physical therapist from Mary Free bed and she was amazingly adept at answering my numerous questions regarding the pain I felt during and after the marathon I had recently completed. She had excellent advice and helpful handouts for exercises to try. She didn't try to sell me anything or say I needed an appointment 😸! Thanks so much, Michelle!!

Marsh helped us explore canoe options for the family as we are looking to move from our Kayaks into a larger vessel that can accommodate the whole crew. What was originally going to be a quick stop (our first time in the store) turned into an hour conversation with Marsh. He provided us with a wealth of knowledge and personal experiences not only regarding canoes, but several other camping/backpacking tips, tricks, and gear recommendations. We love the store, and Marsh was fantastic. He made us feel at home, which says a lot as we had our overtired 1 year old, and supercharged 3 year old with us. I can tell you, I'll drive right past REI to come see Marsh next time I need hiking shoes, Darn-tough socks, or anything else.

Yalc Kcin: Do not buy firearms from here. Read why... I bought a citadel boss shotgun on Saturday 4/9. Took the gun home and it wouldn't load rounds and wouldn't shoot. They are closed Sunday so I brought it back first thing Monday morning. The guy working told me there's nothing they can do and come back next Monday when the boss is in. I understand you need the boss for things like this so I waited a week. I came in the next Monday and the boss told me there was nothing he would do for me besides send it out to get fixed. Explaining to him that it was a gift and I would be okay with the same gun just not the same paint job and he said no and he absolutely would not refund my money. He told me (and I quote) "We are like a car dealership, you can't return a car after you have bought it." Well I wouldn't of bought the "car" if I knew it was broken. So they send the gun out.. 3MONTHS LATER they call me and say it's back. So I go to pick it up and now its a repaired gun but I still don't get any kind of discount. So I take it home and it STILL DOESNT SHOOT. So I call and explain and im told they will have to send it out again. I refused to take that as a answer and told them I'll be getting my lawyers involved if this isn't resolved today. They finally agreed to refund the gun. I will never recommend this place to anyone. This is the worst experience of my life dealing with a business. Sold me a broken gun and didn't really make any kind of effort to make it right.

Traci Cook: Horrible customer service. I ordered a helmet with a large chin strap. They sent a medium. I emailed them twice, left a message, and filled out their online form. I heard nothing from them. Turns out they only have medium chin straps in stock and nobody bothered to tell me, they just sent the wrong one on purpose. I will never use this company again and I suggest you don’t either. They claim to have responded to my first email but amazingly I received nothing.

Cole kleinhans: I was forced to buy a helmet last minute, and if you know anything about football helmets... they aren’t easy to get in a timely fashion. luckily the owner is very nice and helpful. The store had a great selection of everything helmet related. She got me and my teammate set up with a great helmet the same day. If I ever need another helmet i’ll be going here.

Vail Johnson: I received great customer service from Safety First Sports. They were very knowledgable and helpful. In the end, I had to return the football helmet I purchased, but it was not due to the fault of anyone at SFS. If anything, they were the only ones who made the transaction bearable (Schutt Sports, on the other hand, could use a lot of help in this area). Safety Frist Sports was fast, friendly and understanding during every step of the process, including my return and refund. I have no reservations about buying from them again or recommending them to others

D C: First and foremost I must say the customer service is horrible. I've called over a dozen times and the phone has been answered twice. I ordered surge youth shoulder pads 7 days ago because the site stated it was in stock and the price was reasonable. I processed my order and recieved an email shortly after stating that the shoulder pads were out of stock and had to be ordered directly. I order the pads because they were in stock and had expedited shipping. I called and spoke with a rep and the rep explained that they were indeed out of stock and were ordered through riddell and were being shipped directly to me, but they forgot the expedited shipping and refunded my money back which I have yet to recieve. I recieved an email yesterday stating that my order was confirmed and they'll be in touch when shipped, but i was told 3 days ago the order was confirmed and riddell usually ships on weds., but no pads and no one has answered the phone nor responded to my emails.
